Dream Chicken Sandwich Sushi Bomb 🍣🥪🍣
Hello, it's Ushio. Today, I'd like to introduce one of my classic chicken dishes. We're taking crispy chicken and giving it a sushi sandwich twist. This is the perfect one-handed food, ideal for busy people and students preparing for exams. It's incredibly satisfying and delicious. Give it a try!
👨🍳 Recipe:
In a frying pan with some oil, add rice, salt, pepper, garlic, and consomme. Sauté over high heat, then mix in 2 tablespoons of ketchup to create Ketchup Rice.
Next, coat chicken, marinated in grated garlic and soy sauce, with potato starch, and fry until it's wonderfully crispy. Also, prepare sliced cucumbers, boiled eggs, and salad vegetables.
Once your preparations are complete, lay a sheet of seaweed in a mold and evenly spread the Ketchup Rice on top.
Add vegetables, chicken, a generous helping of chili sauce, boiled eggs, cheese, and cucumbers on top.
Finally, cover it with another layer of rice, remove the mold, and wrap it with seaweed. After wrapping, use a knife to cut it neatly. Wrapping it in plastic wrap and letting it rest for about 10 minutes before cutting will make it easier to slice.
Finally, drizzle with a special sauce made by mixing chili sauce, mayonnaise, and ketchup.

#today was just the weirdest day#I woke up feeling really good about everything I had planned; spent a great morning organizing music a friend made#combined a lot of things I like when I made custom cover art on the fly using photos of works by Tinguely#then I even remembered to make lunch; made a good mushroom sauce for the first time in forever#ate it while watching a breakdown of Liam's first CR oneshot#I was so intrigued by everything it had me wriggling in my seat out of sheer joy then in the midst of that my dad tells me my cat is dead#he had him put down today#I've expected him to die since 2016 so crying for him was really easy#I listened to An Ending (Undertale) approximately a thousand times on repeat while compiling every image I had of him and weeping#then I sorted more music and pictures and files#then I made tea#in bed I read some short stories and some Richard Siken poetry and then more short stories#I cried again and then I turned off the light and had a massive breakthrough with a shortfilm idea/wish for an idea that I've had for a year#which combines everything I ever dreamed of for it and it's so close to my heart#I'm so happy and so sad#have been for the whole day really#my cat had the softest fur of any cat I've ever known#that's what today was#uniquely soft like that#tw animal death

i gotta say, a cool $5k in my bank account would be really cool right about now

☆ step by step on how to make my favorite egg sandwich ☆
this is mostly bcz i took pictures of the process yesterday since i thought the eggs on top of broccoli looked cool. its also a lot more fun to make a blog post about my sandwich than make a recipe book page about it
INGREDIENTS:
☆ 2-3 eggs! just depending on ur appetite or if ur planning on having a side. i usually do 3
☆ bread!
☆ cheddar cheese! i usually use cheddar slices, but we didnt have any when i was making this so i used shredded
☆ onions! i prefer yellow onions, but green onions and purple onions also work :)
☆ more veggies (optional)! i like to add them if i have them, but they aren’t necessary. the veggies i usually use are spinach and broccoli, but if u have a favorite veggie or a veggie you need to use before it goes bad you can always mix it into the egg while you cook it!!!
☆ ketchup or bbq sauce (optional)
☆ salt + pepper!
☆ butter/margarine/oil (just something to grease the pan) and also vegetable oil for cooking the onions!
(items: spatula, knife, small frying pan)
STEP 0: if you have extra veggies, go on and cut them. put them on a plate near the stove for easy access :) also get out all of your other ingredients besides bread and sauce, put them near the stove
STEP 1: melt butter/whatever you’re using to grease the pan on medium heat while you cut the onions. if you’re using oil, cut the onions first and then grease the pan. set the onions aside on a plate near the stove for easy access
STEP 2: if applicable add extra veggies to the frying pan. turn the heat down slightly and add the eggs. mix them well with the spatula like you would with scrambled eggs, but let them sit after the yolk and whites are mixed. add salt + pepper.
STEP 3: while the eggs are in the process of solidifying, move them to the edge of the pan and fold them to form a patty shape. keep them in the patty shape and flip them while cooking until theyre cooked the way you want.
STEP 4: once the egg patty is done, put it on a plate and add the cheese on top. put your bread in the toaster. (trust me on this, even if you dont like your bread toasted unless you toast it it will become extremely soggy extremely fast.)
STEP 5: scrape out any egg remnants in the pan and add a small amount of oil (around a tablespoon maybe). turn heat down to low and add chopped onions! mix/move them often and cook until theyre brown and softened.
STEP 6: move your egg patty onto your toasted bread, top with the onions, add sauce and spinach/vegetable of your choice (if applicable), and thats it! you have yourself a sandwich :3
i don’t expect anyone to see this much less actually make it, but you never know! its my favorite thing to cook and i thought this would be fun. i wanna do another one for my loaded grits recipe :3
