I found something interesting in the teaser trailer for Pixie Hollow Games. In the trailer we seem to have some talent banners that we don't see in the movie, or aren't really represented in the films

I'm making this post purely to shout out some incredibly talented fanfic writers from the Hazbin Hotel fandom and my favorite works of theirs.

Did anyone ask me for this? No. Will I post it anyway? Absolutely. The writers in this fandom are too good.

The first fanfic writer I want to shout out is @prince-liest (ao3 link)

I absolutely love their get cared for idiot (Alastor) series (not the official name but they called it that in one of their asks jokingly so it's now the default in my head).

Knock, Knock! It's Your Worst Fucking Nightmare! (this fic gets it!!!! This is what I meant when I said Alastor is growing a heart and part of him is raging against it. He still has ulterior motives and a massive amount of pride and part of him feels like that growing fondness is getting in the way, but he can't stop it. I need to stop before this becomes a long ramble. I've written a couple thousand words on this idea, but this fic is just a better use of your time than any meta I could ever write and way more entertaining :D )

Happily Ever After, and Other Shit Nepotism Can't Buy

The Last Bus Stop in Hell, Now Boarding (Please look at the tags for content warning. Angel and Alastor body swap story.)

They're amazing at balancing on that razor's edge with Alastor where there's a heart in there (really deep) and he's unintentionally growing attached to the hazbin crew, but he doesn't lose his edge. He's still manipulative and an asshole and can easily be the scariest guy in any room. He's in hell for a reason. A+ characterization at all times.

They're so good at writing the complicated dynamics he has with the residents, especially Charlie, and I enjoy how they expand on Alastor's potential dynamic with Angel Dust.

Anything they write from Lucifer's POV is gold too! My favorites are:

I am also 100% here for their Aro!Alastor agenda and I'm enjoying their fic I Love Her, I Love Her Not so far!

The second person I want to shout out is @grayintogreen (ao3 link)

Their series Red Roses and Dead Things consistently gut punches me.

Just like Princeliest, they are also fantastic at balancing on that razor's edge with Alastor. A+ characterization for everyone and I love how they write HuskerDust. It's so soft, especially in the aftermath fic for Learn that Even Death May Die called If My Love Is Tomorrow, I've Forgotten Yesterday (that fic hurt in the best way).

The way they explore the aftermath of Learn that Even Death May Die is incredibly impactful. They capture the unique grief that comes from the reality that there are some things you won't get closure for so well that it's painful.

I can't say enough good things about their series. Genuinely go read it.

I found @lediz-watches (ao3 link) before the first season of Hazbin Hotel dropped (I've been a fan of the hellaverse for a few years now and have been enthralled with the Hazbin Hotel pilot since I first watched it in 2020) and I really enjoy their fics.

My favorite is Suffering Kindness. I love the Charlie and Alastor dynamic they explore in this story. I think I'm just a sucker for the Charlie and Alastor dynamic in general, but this fic hits all the right notes for me. (written pre-season 1 but man is it good. 100% recommend)

LeDiz also has a lot of one-shots/collections of one-shots that are very fun.

Don't Say It

I have to shout out @ckret2 (ao3 link) and their phenomenal fic You’ve Got a Face for Radio. This is such an amazing aroace!Alastor fic. (Embarrassingly it was this fic that made me realize I was most likely aroace myself. I’d had fleeting moments of suspecting it but it wasn’t until I saw my experiences laid out in a character explicitly written to be aroace that I put the puzzle pieces together. -_- some of these passages were too relatable.) I cannot express how much I love this fic.

I also like their fics Dumpster Baby and Bitter Grapes.

I have one last writer I want to mention because this is getting really long (whoops). The last one is tiredoflofteranditsshit and their Assume He Has a Heart series (because my favorite character and how I interpret them was not obvious enough already with the fics/authors I've recommended. I had to make it more obvious).

These fics are massive (17k and 26k words) and so much fun. Definitely worth the read. Yet another series that follows up season 1 and explores Alastor’s growing connections and how he lies to himself and pushes against it. Love this series and there’s a lot to sink your teeth into :D

Also I wanted to infodump about the ConVex in this AU:

Fairies become Vexes when directly exposed to large amounts of corrupted magic which changes them both physically and mentally, making them vicious and blood thirsty

The process is reversible, but requires restraining the Vex which can be quite the challenge. And even when cured, the Vex magic will leave permanent changes to the fairy’s body, like lingering blue pigmentation, slightly sharpened teeth and altered wing shape

Neither Cub nor Scar will tell anyone how exactly they managed to expose themselves to enough corrupted magic to get turned into Vexes

But based on the faces they make when asked, it probably happened because they were doing something very, very stupid.

If you’re asking how I feel about shipping in general — it’s fine and I honestly never mind it. As long as what’s being shipped and consequently drawn/written about/roleplayed/etc is two adults (especially if the shipping content is nsfw) then have fun! My only exception is shipping characters that canonically have sexualities that wouldn’t match up — that’s really disrespectful imo.

As for TADC, I don’t really ship anyone at this particular moment. I’m starting to think maybe that Gangle and Zooble would be really sweet together, but I haven’t gotten those pupils-dilating-gnawing-at-the-furniture-I’m-so-hellbent-and-intent-I-need-it brain wormies I usually get when I ship characters. And I know I predominantly blog/scream about Jax but I don’t ship him with anyone lmao. (I thought about answering this ask sarcastically and saying Jax x Kaufmo’s bowling ball looool).

You reached right into the darkest recesses of my brain and plucked out exactly how I imagined one of the darkest and bloodiest scenes in the entire fic. The DETAILS! If I have energy I want to draw out some designs for an au I'm spontaneously writing.

(Medieval times, there's a Prophecy. Nightmare rules over this kingdom and is supposed to complete this prophecy, he refuses to because it would harm the people. Dream was sent away and banished by Night because he was dis-illusioned into thinking the prophecy was a Good Thing abd what he was raised to complete. Night collected his Knights (Killer, Dust, Horror, and Cross most recently) and trains them and tells them the truth of the prophecy. They're loyal to him. One day the magic of the prophesy (Apple Magic) leaves Nightmare unexpectedly, returning him to the state he was in before he accepted the mantle. This puts a target on his back and gives Dream a huge advantage in maybe making a comeback. The Knight's decide that their King (newly a young lad and variably scared and frightened) must be protected and they run the kingdom as he normally would, while also ensuring he survives and that the prophecy can't be completed.)

Ok so I feel like a slightly more positive post needs to follow this as I ran out of space in the tags but like

I was coming out of a …I guess I can’t say sheltered environment because naive I was not and I met so many people that were dangerous but…. Isolated? I think isolated is the word. Socially disconnected. And then suddenly having, if I were to estimate, 50ish homeless people over those two years that I talked to, learned from, knew everything about. They told me the daily news. They told me their drama. Eventually I knew about what mental illnesses they struggled with, what prescriptions they were on, what illegal medications they were using to cope with lack of medical care. I helped first responders with medical history when no one else knew. I gained such a perspective on the world talking to people who had it worse than me but were still keeping on keeping on. And I loved all of them.

I actually have Cub as a dust fairy, specifically with the alchemy sub-talent!

I mean, just look at this skin and tell me it doesn’t give the same energy as the pirate fairy fuckin around and finding out at the beginning of her movie

(I also desperately needed a reason to slim down the number of tinker!hermits I had, it’s a bit too easy to just shove all the redstoners and like half the builders into the tinker category so I had to get creative with it lol)

But yeah, look it him! Funky lil alchemist almost blowing up Hermit Hollow with pixie dust!!

If you still want to leave suggestions for hermit’s talents, here’s the list of ones I have (kinda)figured out so far!

Also for the sake of this AU, all the fairy societal development (for lack of a better term) has already happened (ie: tinkers can go to the mainland, alchemy is a known sub-talent, cold and warm fairies can visit each other, etc etc)

NOW! Onto the point, I have drawn Funtime Foxy in many ways. One of my main ways is with a ringmaster’s jacket. (Forgive me) But I have sure your art and mine to make a quick sketch of his jacket!

It’s crazy how both of these characters have faced abuse/are facing abuse and how similar but different it is. Because While Fizz was given ‘everything’ by Mammon (in a way), Angel Dust isn’t being given anything from Valentino. (From what we know)

Fizz feels he needs to keep being perfect for Mammon because without him, he’s nothing. Now I wonder how it’ll be for Angel? Especially since he’s being S/A by Val behind closed doors.

Not to mention Mammon clearly physically abusing Fizz (but playing it off for laughs, gags, and performance acts)

Okay so more for my Hazbin Hotel co-parenting au

I was just thinking about other people's reaction to this weird thing they've got going on so here is all of Hells reactions

The first one seen with the baby is Alastor (he's on his way to show Rosie that he's acquired a baby) Everyone freaks out about it because "Did the radio demon have a child?" "Did he steal that baby?" "He's on his way to cannibal town HOLY SHIT HE'S GOING TO EAT A BABY"

So as we all know hell loves to gossip so that's what they do. A ton of theories go around but when they don't see him with the baby again they decide it probably met a terrible fate. So they drop it UNTIL...

Angel is seen with the baby next. They're just out buying baby clothes but people are like "huh? When did famous porn star Angel Dust have a baby?" People start taking pictures and posting them on the Internet and the people that saw Alastor and the baby in person are like OH SHIT so now the rumors are worse. Most people think Angel and Alastor are together and raising this baby.

They're still talking about all this when Charlie is seen with the baby. They're just chilling going for a walk. Hell is in an uproar. Polls are going around asking people whose baby they think it is. There's definitely memes. All in all everyone is way too into this.

So the Vees being social media demons have been keeping track of this. Vox has been pissed from the very beginning because it started with Alastor and we all know how he is. Val is writing a list of ways to use this against Angel in a sparkly pink notebook. Velvette wants this to end she's sick of everyone talking about this it bores her and she's not getting as much attention as before SO she decides to interview Angel.

She asks a simple question "is this baby yours? The radio demons? Or the princesses?"

"....yes?"

Things are worse than ever. Nobody understands what's going on. Their first thought is poly but as more demons are seen with the baby they decide that's less and less likely (and the Radio Demon in a poly relationship? Yeah okay). They realize everyone that lives in the princesses hotel is helping raise that baby so now they think if they move in they become a parent (which is not how that works)

It's not even a mystery but nobody can seem to wrap their head around it so at this point they're just waiting for all the attention to dial down or some different drama to take everyone's mind off of it

Also Alastor has no idea any of this is happening because he doesn't have social media and nobody thought to tell him

BONUS: Rosie and Cherri's reactions

Rosie: First of all she definitely goes by Auntie Rosie but anyway she's super supportive of Alastor and is so happy for him. She spoils this kid so much it's ridiculous. She's just an amazing aunt like when the kid is older Rosie is usually the one she goes to for advice. And yes she definitely tries to give the kid demon flesh but most of her parents say no.

Cherri Bomb: She's just confused like last week her and Angel were clubbing and now he's a dad? Obviously she's happy for Angel and is super supportive. Angel even starts referring to her as Auntie Cherri which melts her heart. She's a little annoyed though because now Angel hangs out with her less than ever. She definitely misses going out and doing irresponsible shit because he rarely does that anymore. She's also a terrible influence and is not allowed to watch the baby alone. She's the fun aunt but a bit too irresponsible for comfort. Also she tries to make the baby's first word a cuss word. She will be sitting with this baby for hours just going "fuck... Fuck...fuck" which is another reason she's not allowed to be left alone with the baby.
