So... I just read if you give a nibling a knife... I really want to illustrate it.

Do you a) have a preference of medium between watercolour, gouache or digital.

B) is there anything visually you have in mind ( how the knife looks, specific clothes, ect)

I must admit I haven't any preferences on medium - I am woefully undereducated in artistic techniques - but it's probably a dagger, not an eating knife, and for some reason I feel like the overlarge tunic ought to be red, though I'm flexible on that if something else makes better sense to you.

Her eyes followed the chain, watching as it terminated at a collar that was, indeed, wrapped around her throat. “Fine. You own me. You have me collared like a fucking dog and you're holding onto my leash. Do whatever the fuck you want, Vox. I’m over it” Velvette snapped.

Day 16: Calamitas and Louis

I HAVE COLORED LIKE NEVER BEFORE! I love this one, it looks so GOOD. Looks like drawing somewhat consistently has actually improved my skill, would you look at that!

Anyway, this happens in the next chapter, which is mostly written by now. I could power through and release it tonight, but I probably won't because I don't feel like writing much more today.

Still, I should color more often. Maybe I'll focus on coloring stuff now instead of random sketches. (Maybe on developing hair, because dear lord, I need to learn how to give hair some bulk rather than have it look like a solid mass.)

So every time there is a scene about the layout of the great hall, I have some trouble picturing it? Like is the dias with the throne all the way to the back wall? But if so, when people are being introduced is the head table between them and the dias? And “head of the table” of all the others? Does that mean with their back to the head table so they are the closest, or does it mean the other side so they have a direct line of vision to the head table? Cause I can imagine that last one being different in human courts vs Witcher court? Like humans just find it important to be as close as possible, but witchers modestly want a direct line of sight and not to put their back to the open space in the hall where brawls happen?

I have no idea if this makes sense. But basically, pretty please, do you have a crude layout sketch cause my brain keeps getting confused??

Which is a lot better than anything I could do. There's the dais behind the head table; I think the hall extends a ways beyond that, and then there are doors in the back wall for Geralt's office and so on.

The Heads of Schools sit at the head of each table, with their backs to the head table.

Geralt doesn't sit in his throne much, and when he does, the table is moved out of the way - tables in medieval times were often trestles, and could be easily dismantled.

Drew some fanart of @kellen-kat ‘s fanfic, “Sweet Little Lies” on AO3! This is specifically from Chaptee 13, Mystify. I’ve never had a scene from a fanfiction hit me as hard as that one did. I tried to draw the scene as softly as possible especially since it was really emotionally charged.

Anyway I was absolutely in love with the fic, and can’t wait to see how it ends!
