Since Burn became a queen, she required a therapist to help she... become a better individual, and you gotta say, they had less than orthodox methodologies... The main recommendation was some herbs daily and cutting tomatoes, Burn begun loving cutting those, for their vibrant red reminded her of blood, a peculiar funtime to say the least, but hey, at least she isn't hurting anybody...

Of course, her daughter Oasis is there to help her mom, and encourage her into continously follow the right path, so are Sandstorm and Blaze, even her brothers too, especially Scald, formely a drunk and lose cannon of the family, had begun his own healing proccess with her. While Burn had required ever larger doses of tranquilizing herbs, rapidly growing addicted to it, Oasis' sharp mind realized that and helped she decrease her dosages back to pre-addiction.

One could say old Burn had some form of PTSD, though such diagnostic was impossible back in the day, even if among all tribes, the SandWings had the most alarming number of war veterans with PTSD. The best case scenario dragon healers could do was recommend some distracting hobby or rainforest herbs to help her contain whatever she had, but Burn seemed not avoid it and to trigger her intrusive thoughts, nightmares and volatile emotions on purpose, which baffled her relatives.

Oasis and Sandstorm, as the closest dragons to Burn, had already discussed in private how to deal with her. They fear one day tomatoes are not going to be enough, Burn is going to switch to meat, then animals, then what? Dragons? Oasis concluded that if the herbs had an addictive effect on Burn, so will her cutting tomatoes hobby. But they could not reach any conclusive plan on what to do, if not simply stop Burn, but then what is she gonna distract herself with? Governing as queen is not exactly the most relaxing activity.

Note: This scene happens before Oasis going after Blister and getting bitten by a dragonbite viper, and Burn had cutting off her limb. At this present moment, their relationship was at its best

Slowly working on reuploading my art from Instagram to here, I no longer feel motivated to post on Instagram since Meta sucks and so does its app and algorithm. I'm not happy on a platform that constantly works against me as an artist.

I know I'll have to work on gaining an audience here, but I'm willing to work for it since it might be better for me in the long run.

Anyway, this art piece is a dragon AU design of a friend's OC on Ig. I'm very proud of it because I haven't drawn dragons in a really long time and I think I did a decent job. I added an uncoloured version so you can appreciate the linework as well.

Love this artwork of Violet and her dragons, Tairn and Andarna! It's definitely nice to see a bigger and more size-accurate depiction of Tairn. Beyond obsessed with this book series! Can't wait for the TV show!

It's time for a month of dragons again! I am indeed participating, and following a list by Katy Lipscomb I believe. I will be doing as many as I'm able to.

The first day was fruit, and I wanted to paint a raspberry dragon, since I've liked them for a long time. I wanted to bring the texture of the berry into the dragon as much as I could, so I added the texture/shape to the scale details. I wanted the painting itself to look like you've caught a glimpse of one of these little guys while looking through a raspberry bush. I only really used two colors for this one.

I started with a rough preliminary sketch in light, erasable colored pencil, then went over it with a regular pencil for adding details and structures. From there I layered in the background leaves slowly, building up the layers there before adding in the color on the berries and dragon itself. I went over the layers of watercolor with colored pencils in a few places to add in more depth.

I will absolutely be painting more fruit dragons, as well as my floral and mushroom ones.

Collection of the art I did for Smaugust 2023! A Dragon, Wyvern, Amphiptere, and Lindwyrm

I've never done the Smaugust Art Challenge before, and I had a lot of fun with it! I know there's prompt lists floating around for it, but I like the freedom of just having an excuse to focus on drawing dragons for a month as a challenge, without having to follow specific prompts.

Monster/creature art isn't something I do very often now, so it was a nice change of pace. In middle school pretty much all I drew was dragons so it's nice to be a little self indulgent and go back to that hahaha
