One of my favorite monsters from the first Monster Hunter game I ever played, Monster Hunter Tri. Fighting this critter was certainly an interesting time. I think I only ever fought this variant, though I know now that more exist, and I might paint them too.
I plan to try tackling this critter in a painting again sometime, as I found an older attempt I'd made a few years ago, and could see some big improvements. I also just found it an interesting subject. It'll be interesting if I can improve my electric textures around the critter and on its spines.
Daniel Smith/Mijello Mission Gold watercolors Prismacolor Pencils Windsor and Newton Designer's Gouache White Cold press watercolor paper 140lb, approx 5x7* (I think, though the paper weight might be different.)

I Told You Not to Incinerate the Neighbors
I tell my Great Dane not to bark at the neighbors all the time, and that was the inspiration for this title. I painted this based on a photomanipulation I created (all elements from Shutterstock).

The next mushroom for the Funguary challenge was one called filoboletus manipularis. They appeared to be tiny and bioluminescent, and so I wanted to make a bioluminescent dragon with those aspects.
Also, I am open for commissions if there is any interest.

« Let the Fade draw close! » I was so inspired by the armor, the details and the color combinations that I couldn't resist painting Emmrich using watercolors!

‘Of the Heavens’ — watercolor & mixed media on paper
This my first painting I created for my recent exhibition, ‘Fables’. I’ve always had a fascination for folktales around the world. These stories have always sparked wonder in my imagination as a kid, so I wanted to create my own personal interpretation of a few fabled creatures with respect to the traditions, symbology and legends where they come from. The first that came to mind was that of the Dragon, a creature prevalent throughout a lot of East Asian cultures and often symbolic of power, fortune and the divine. So, here’s my interpretation of the Dragon, blessed with auspicious jade eyes & claws 😄 #brbchasingdreams

Somehow he still seems to enjoy basking in the sunlight and the quiet busyness of the birds and butterflies. They say necromancy is a dark art, but whoever reanimated the beast of the black swamp knew what they were doing.
