One of my favorite monsters from the first Monster Hunter game I ever played, Monster Hunter Tri. Fighting this critter was certainly an interesting time. I think I only ever fought this variant, though I know now that more exist, and I might paint them too.
I plan to try tackling this critter in a painting again sometime, as I found an older attempt I'd made a few years ago, and could see some big improvements. I also just found it an interesting subject. It'll be interesting if I can improve my electric textures around the critter and on its spines.

A Lagiacrus I drew for a friend.
I never played Monster Hunter nor do I think I will. He just likes this one a lot and he helped me with some stuff, so I drew this cool monster for him!
It's been nearly two years since I properly drew Lagiacrus, so here is another attempt! This time I'm taking cues from the Stories render, so chibi look and brighter colors. Also, Lagiacrus's colors for both the regular and Ivory subspecies reminds me of the aroace flag :>
I love this guy's design so much but figuring out the neck and cobra hood anatomy is really difficult...
But I like it enough to make multiple color variations, so here they are: regular, Ivory, and Abyssal! (I couldn't draw Abyssal's longer horns though, these are just simple color tweaks).
And for fun, a cherry blossom colored Lagi, and an OC, Ragatan.
Might make a proper profile for him later, but Ragatan is an older Lagiacrus. He's like Guardian Ratha in Stories 2, he used to be bonded to a Rider who has passed on.
edit 5/14/23: Had to fix a spot where the line art got erased, gah.
This wyvern utilizes charges produced by internal organs to produce powerful, concentrated currents even underwater. What's worse, is you'd be dead wrong to assume you're safe on land! This monster is just as easily seen resting ashore.

March this year marked the 20th anniversary of one of my favorite gaming franchises, Monster Hunter. In honor of this, I decided to draw the series' flagship monsters (as of now.)
Even though I only started playing the games like almost three years ago when Rise came out, I have known about the franchise since I was like 8 or 9 years old (this was back during the third gen days when Tri was the newest game,) and I'm really glad I decided to get into this franchise later on.
I've finally got these in stock! I have so many other charms queued up and waiting, but they're still being developed. For now, here's Tobi-Kadachi and Pukei-Pukei plushies in charm form!
I have Khezu, Paolumu, Dodogama, Brachydios, and Kulu-Ya-Ku designed, and I'm planning on making many more. A shortlist of other designs I have planned: Nergigante, Tigrex, Yian-Kut-Ku, Palico, Zinogre, and Palico.
