So I wanted to draw Burn and then it occurred to me I could draw a comic of the first book prologue cuz that’s honestly when she’s at her coolest.

I’ve never really drawn comic panels before so sorry if it looks weird.

I’m genuinely surprised I finished it - it took like 20 hrs for some reason.

Short explanation of my design choices + inspo photos under the cut

I noticed that a ton of people draw Burn with thick ram horns; and I adopted that headcanon for a long time before I saw this picture of a sheep with wickedly curled horns, and I thought; 'those belong to Blister'

Of course, this means the other sisters needed some unique horns to match. Burn was obvious, bull horns were a perfect fit for her character. Blaze was a little trickier, but I eventually settled basing them off gazelle antlers, which ended up heavily influencing my design for her as a whole.

Background colours are correlated to their main alliance. Burn gets red for the SkyWings, Blaze has light blue to represent the IceWings, and Blister is purple for the NightWings.

You know. I'm thinking right now. Sunny, Tsunami and Glory are technically sisters, right? And have you ever thought that those three are a lot like Blister, Blaze and Burn? They're even all princesses. I feel like the DoD sisters are like a revised/better version of the sandwing princesses.

Y’all know that feeling when it’s like a lightning bolt strikes you and suddenly you remember the exact epic, cinematic mental image that elementary school you was REALLY trying to translate into a piece of art and failed to do?

So umm, here’s one of my Wings of Fire fan characters being tormented by Princess Burn.

Short story summery: This is a dramatic little scene from my oc story where my skywing oc Robin was found out for having a relationship and starting a secret family with a sandwing allied with Burn. And as a result Burn takes the opportunity to reinforce total loyalty above family in her remaining soldiers by detaining Robin and stealing away her hybrid egg.

Ended up making a wof character when I was away from the house yesterday. Haven’t used procreate in ages so I had to make myself a new brush for it lol

Got home and redrew her on csp, think I’m gonna name her Mirage (she’s a sandwing/icewing hybrid). I honestly just really wanted to make a sandwing oc with the headshape I’ve been messing around with for a headcanon. Then the visual addition of icewing features sounded super cool (ahah).
