Currently redrawing the Darkstalker scene in rising peril. I really dislike his design in the comics so this is my take. No hate to the graphic novel artist of course! I just dislike how Darkstalker is done😅

personally i like short whiteout but what if she wasn't. what if she was bigger than her brother.

[id: Whiteout and Darkstalker, the dragons sitting close to each other. The drawing is uncolored. Whiteout is larger than her brother, raising her paw above him as she looks at him. Darkstalker looks to the side unimpressed. Both have manes on their heads ended with tufts on their foreheads. Whiteout has a slight lazy eye and Darkstalker has eyelashes. Umm ummmm arcane and wofb on your timeliness? More accurate than u might thibk..

Working with dreadnought on an arcane inspired animation so I made a few concepts of some of the gang to figure out their core character features, but in less of a joy ang style and more like arcane!

I'm super happy with whiteout since I think she came to me the fastest.. I could just. See her in my big fat head. Fathom and clearsight both had some kinda ugly sketches to start out and then for darkstalker I think he is just TOO pretty. Dread made a really great concept based on mine that feels better honestly, stay tuned for more of this project :)!

in a Q/A with Tui, she stated that blood moons affect a nightwing's powers, allowing seers to see terrible events/disasters clearly and allowing mind readers to project their thoughts onto any dragon (not just other mind readers)

i thought this was a really cool detail, and i'm hoping that it's used in the books somewhere

here are two sisters born under a blood moon, one a mind reader and the other a seer. i imagine the mind reader uses telepathy to comfort her sister as she foresees troubling futures

Nothing quite like an old fixation on a certain dragon book series to bring my illustrative side back to life. Hopefully I can keep the pencil active through art block.

Mainly all WIPs, will I ever finish them? Who knows, but I’ll leave them here for now.
