I'm glad people are finally starting to wake up to this... To Meta being an exploitative, spying garbage company- to Adobe not being trustworthy. Microsoft and Google aren't to be trusted either, nor are Amazon- OpenAI, and many, many more I don't have the time and energy to list here.

I made my honours project about our broken relationship with evermore so exploitative technology (it's a literal choice game you can't win, meant to spread awareness of how bad things are getting).

Fight for your Digital Human Rights people. This is more relevant than ever if we want to avoid living in a f*cking dystopia. Privacy needs to exist. Rejecting terms and conditions needs to be an option. AI should pass an ethical evaluation by a higher, non-corrupt third party entity (or conglomerate of ethical organizations), so that we can safeguard it and sandbox it to establish its use EXCLUSIVELY for specific use cases.

Don't stop doing your own research. Don't ever stop exposing them.

Big tech corps are to be held accountable for their shitty practices.

Nothing can truly show you the reality of what's happening in Gaza, not a picture, not a video, and not even words. The truth is far worse than anything an image can capture. Families are not just enduring genocide, they’re being erased. Their history, their homes, their existence, wiped away like they were never there.

What’s left behind? Bits and pieces. Fragments. A scrap of fabric here, a shattered memory there. People are still trapped beneath the rubble. Some are alive, their voices weak but desperate, pleading for help that will never come. There’s no rescue equipment. No teams to save them. And anyone brave enough to try is met with drones, striking down anyone who gets close.

Those who’ve managed to survive aren’t just hungry, they’re freezing. Imagine huddling in a makeshift tent, shaking not just from fear but from the biting cold that seeps into your bones. The wind tears through everything, ripping apart whatever tiny bit of warmth you’ve managed to cling to. Inside the tent, there’s no comfort. Only the sound of bodies rustling as they try to stay warm, muffled cries of grief, and the haunting sound of people buried beneath the rubble, their faint cries for help echoing in the dark.

The cold doesn’t care. It doesn’t spare anyone—not children, not parents, not the elderly. It sinks into everyone, leaving them numb, both physically and emotionally. Hunger takes what little strength they have left, and the cold takes their hope. This isn’t some tragic story from the past—it’s happening right now. These are my people. This is my family.

A single line can hold the weight of an entire story, and a single choice can save a life. What if you skipped that extra coffee, brush pack, or subscription and put that money toward rescuing lives in Gaza ? One small sacrifice from you could provide food, warmth, or even survival to my family who’ve lost everything.

And this is why I will never like- nor stand for big tech giants / corps.

They monopolize and dictate what people should or shouldn't be doing.

The bad news for Google is that I'd rather wait 5 seconds of nothing than watch any more of their dumb ads. They make enough ad revenue, and I am not keen on being brainwashed with ads every day. Yes it's a free service- No, I won't pay for it to feed the rich (who are already overfed) + I grew up on a free internet. Too many things in this life are paid for. Let me enjoy my little silly relaxation content for free. I'm entitled to taking good care of my mental health after a hard day of work in your capitalistic ruthless society.

Was always, and will always stay with Firefox and uBlock Origin for as long as I live- I will happily die on that hill, while retaining my digital rights to privacy and freedom.

I haven't personally verified this as I'm not at a computer, but multiple people in multiple places are saying the same thing. This is fucking insane. First the endless war on UBlock, then the Chromium changes to shut out some blocker functionalities entirely next year, now this?

Something is deeply rotten in recent Google/YouTube policy. I can't imagine that this is legal - how is this not anticompetitive? Google needs to get mega fucked in the press and the courts sooner rather than later.

And I need to switch to Firefox as soon as I get home.

We really have to hand it to kids' drawings. They're like little emotional time bombs, chaotic, pure, and ready to explode with meaning at any second. My son’s masterpiece? It’s got all the feels: hope, resilience, and a superhero vibe that makes you believe a pencil can save the world.

Then there’s my friend’s version, same idea but polished, powerful, and radiating strength and determination. One full of innocence and love, the other showing how far we’ve come in the fight for survival. Together, they remind me that even in the darkest times, there is light.

Maybe these drawings aren’t enough to stop you in your tracks. Maybe they’re not “good enough” to inspire donations or make you share this post. But behind each one, there’s a story of survival, resilience, and unshakable hope. This campaign isn’t just about me. It’s about 26 people, 26 lives hanging by a thread. That includes two orphaned children and a family member who’s suffering from hemiplegia after being hit by shrapnel during a bombing.
