Question: Is it possible to abuse objects? In the same way that people can be abused in relationships? And how do you know if you're a danger to your objects?

I’m not as affected by electronics crashing due to being extremely old. The computer downstairs (for example) is over 15 years old and it has started to break down regularly. You can barely use it for anything. I see electronics like those as elderly people reaching the end of their natural lifespan. They had an extremely fulfilling life full of research for research papers, playing computer games, printing coloring sheets, and so much more. Now they’re ready to go on their next great adventure (yes, I do believe in an afterlife for electronics).

What bothers me a lot is electronics getting damaged or destroyed in the prime of their life. The phone I had before this one was lost at the bottom of a river. Don’t ask me what exactly I was doing in a river, I’m autistic and struggle with danger awareness. I felt horrible afterwards. What must it feel like to die like that? For a while I was terrified of the ghost of my phone haunting me afterwards. I still feel bad. I failed my phone. I feel slightly better when electronics don’t die and they can get “surgery” to come back to full health, like when my laptop’s screen cracked. I feel like it must be like a broken arm for them. It’s still probably so scary for them, and I did feel bad.

You’re not alone in feeling like this. There are others like you. We can get through the pain of electronics being destroyed together.

do any other objectums have the worst fear ever of broken electronics... like I get so scared at the thought of any electronics of any use being broken. ESPECIALLY if they're still making noise after they've crashed. it's so scary, and I genuinely can not handle it. pls get back to me on this. have the results on my desk by tomorrow.

Something happened today that I think you all should know. Even though I don't want to talk about it.

I killed my phone.

Or at the very least damaged ter severely. I don't know if te can be repaired.

I was having a mental health episode. I was in a very bad place and I lashed out at everything. The closest things to me got the worst of it. And I was holding my phone.

I've had multiple instances of intense aggression since then. None strong enough to break something though. I might need to go inpatient. I don't know yet.

I might hold Phone a funeral. But it would feel disingenuous considering I'm the reason te's gone.

I don't know if I should stay in the POSIC+ or objectum communities. I'm scared objects aren't safe around me. I can't be trusted with them the same way you all can.

I might delete this blog. But I don't want to lose it.

A Sacrifice

It had been several weeks since they had found the relic. Sebastian had spent every waking moment with his nose in the book they found in the Scriptorium, holed up in the undercroft, trying to find as much information as he could about the dark sacrifice the relic required. It called for him, pulled at the darkness within, almost clawing at his very soul. He gripped the Relic tightly in his hand, his eyes adjusting to the dimly lit room of the undercroft. Sebastian had fallen asleep on a settee that they had conjured back in the third year of school; the book fell to the floor as he adjusted his position. This was becoming a regular occurrence, barely spending time in his dorm with Ominis or outside with his friends. Finding a cure for Anne was the most important thing to Sebastian right now, and he knew his friends were understanding of this, to a degree. Ominis had voiced his opinions of the use of the dark arts, but there was no other way. Sebastian pulled himself up from his slumber, eyes sore from not getting enough sleep, back sore from not sleeping in his own bed. His feet on each side of the book that lay on the floor, the page open to part of Salazar's ramblings in his thoughts on the issues with muggles and those born to them. Sebastian had read over every page of this god's forsaken book countless times now; he had begun to feel like he was losing his grip on reality. He had been in his own head for far too long, Sebastian needed fresh air and a bath. Maybe he could get a normal amount of sleep in his own bed, wake up with a clear mind and tackle this book tomorrow. The walk back to the common room was quiet, a little cold even with his robes wrapped around him. The book and relic are tucked under his robes for safekeeping and hiding. He wasn't going to risk leaving them in the undercroft for Ominis to find and discard, Sebastian had worked too hard to retrieve these. No, he hides them in the trunk at the end of his bed as Ominis is respectful of privacy and would never go through his personal belongings.

Mumbling the password softly so as not to be heard by any lingering prefects, the common room door reveals itself for him. Sebastian made his way to the boy's bathroom, finding an empty stall was easy in the middle of the night. A brass bathtub was situated in the corner, a stool for Sebastian to place his clothes in a neat-ish pile, robe hung up on the hook. The relic was seated on the book that sat atop his clothes. The water drawn was warm and inviting. Sebastian sunk himself into the bathtub, the steam clearing his airways, he hadn't realized the winter chill was getting to him. His mind was clear, free of worry and dread for the first time in weeks. His eyes were becoming heavy, his body was warm, and sleep was very welcoming. The voice was barely a whisper, echoing inside his head. "I can help you." The voice was always there. "I can give you unbelievable power." Sebastian was used to this voice taking home within him. "I just need something from you, something pure." Sebastian's eyes flung open; water splashed about as he jumped up out of the bath. He looked around the stall, nothing was out of place. The book, the relic, and his clothes where they had been left. The voice hadn't said that before, what did it mean by pure? Something new to mull over in the morning, first he needed sleep, his eyes were still heavy. Sebastian dressed quickly, pulling his trousers up, he hadn't noticed he was aroused. It had been a long time since Sebastian had any of these urges, roughly around the time they found the book. He had been so busy trying to find answers that he hadn't needed to relieve himself. Curses fell from his lips; he didn't have time for this. He tucked himself into his trousers; if he was still horny in the morning, he would take care of it then once Ominis had left for breakfast. Collecting the rest of his belongings he made his way to his dorm room.

Tucking away his personal items in the truck at the foot of his bed, and changing into his nightwear, he climbed into his own bed finally. His eyes closed before his head hit the pillow, sleep took hold of him once and for all. Dark, quiet, and for once peaceful. Sebastian wasn't sure how long he had been asleep, but the darkness that felt like it would go on for eternity began to change. His hand shielding his eyes from the bright light, the smell of mallowsweet and lavender filled his senses. His eyes adjusted to his surroundings, Sebastian was standing in a lavender field, the sound of laughter filled his ears, head whipping around to the source, to her. She was smiling, arms held out as she spun around in the field, she looked happy. Sebastian closed his eyes; when he opened them again, he was laying on the ground, she was wrapped up in his arms. Her head was on his chest, and her hand was on his stomach, fingers tracing small circles on the fabric of his shirt. Her weight shifted, pulling herself up slightly, her lips moved but Sebastian couldn't make out what was being said, all he noticed was how flushed her cheeks became, how her hands ran down his chest. The sight made him blink in disbelief; the scene changed. Her legs were now straddling each side of his hips, the hands that had been on his chest were now pulling at his trousers, his shirt undone, chest exposed to the warm sun. The feeling of her rubbing against his erection was enough to drive any man over the brink. His hands grabbed her hips, rocking her against himself. Her hands clawed at his shirt, pulling it off and discarding it to the side. Her lips crashed into his, she tasted sweet, lips moist with her saliva. Her tongue ran over his top lip, parting his lips to allow her entry. He wished this dream would never end, let him live in this peace. Fingernails trailed down the skin of his chest, over his stomach, and below her skirt. With the sleep fading he felt the stiff ache that was under his blanket, muttering curses to himself he needed to take care of himself before he tried to sleep again. Setting the relic on his bedside table, he shimmed his pyjama pants down just enough to free himself. His hand gripping firmly around his cock, the image of her on top of him, sinking down and engulfing him completely. His hand worked along the shaft, thinking of her hips grinding against him, the needy moans she would make, the taste of her skin in his mouth.
