But also omg they felt abandoned by Damian because he put them (or more precisely Bruce) in a refuge (that they both trusted to take care of them) that sold them to a biotech company while damian had his year off out of Gotham ...

I can't, they mean so much to me and to Damian, I hope we see them in PKJ upcoming batman and robin run because I can not take anymore no mention of them at allllll.

Haha cute Damian likes animals, no the writers using animals to explain Damian's love. A boy who was groomed into apathy, anger and feeling like he needed to be the best.

Using a dog to show us Damian learning to navigate this new life with his father.

Using a cow to show Damian's kindness to that around him

A cat to show Damian's compassion and forgiveness. His firm belief anyone can change if given the chance

And Goliath, 9yr old Damian looking at the face of a baby, staring into his own eyes of a scared creature. Coming to self awareness of what he had done.

Damian's pets tell a story. A story of an boy learning how to be kind again. A boy showing his true heart. Damian finally knowing he's allowed to feel again. He's safe and allowed to be happy and show the love he always had.

So I was told to read Robin: Son of Batman and while I understand that it’s almost a decade old at this point, look at this child.

I’m sorry, I know I’m late to this run, but how do you see this literal child who was manipulated and groomed his entire childhood and not immediately go, “Give him a blanket, mug of hot cocoa and a Grey Ghost a marathon,”. He just wants to be good enough for others and hates himself so much.
