Ahhh, thank you for all the love for the obsession AU! I was happy to see some people dip into the darker ideas but also others see some humor in it (particularly with Vaggie's Loony Tunes style trapping lol).

I think the idea of Rosie drugging Alastor so he relies on her was the first character interaction I thought of for this au, so I ended up making a picture of one of their cautious brunches after that time. I don't know if I'm gonna make another piece for this au next, or try for a more environmental piece (I need the practice, haha). Stay tuned!

This is almost certainly real and that makes me

I think I feel worse than when the Poison leaks happened

And that was bad

Yet I think this might be worse… because at least some survivors do relate to and find comfort in Poison and Angel as a whole. At least people knew he was suffering from and dealing with this abuse. This… people couldn’t have seen this coming.

Alastor and Rosie’s relationship was one of the few actually well written ones in this freaking show. And they just screwed it the hell up

Alastor being owned by/selling his soul to Lilith made so much sense. Of course Lilith would care about his child’s dream, of course she would hide him away in heaven after a (likely) bad fight with Vox, of course if he was in heaven nobody could find him, of course he’d be so fearful of the literal Queen of hell.

If Alastor is owned by Rosie, why the hell would he actually be genuinely comfortable around her as shown in season one? Rosie wouldn’t give a shit about the hotel as well, I’m sorry but like huh??? She has 0 relation to the founders or guests besides Al??? Also there’s no freaking way that Rosie would be able to hide Alastor IN HELL FOR 7 FREAKING YEARS AND AVOID ALL DETECTION. If Vox’s cameras didn’t catch him in a HEAVILY POPULATED TOWN, there’s literally no way some random diner didn’t catch a glimpse of him or something??? And Al is probably on the level below Rosie power wise, there’s no way he wouldn’t have rebelled at some point, even if he lost???

But yeah, I’m beating around the bush here. Elephant in the room time.

The whole song and animation and everything leans WAYYYY too into the aspect of Alastor being Rosie’s pet, and that creeps me out so much. Because it again feels fetishized. Way too reminiscent of pet play and such, which I already don’t like on its own but I’m not getting into that. I wouldn’t even have an issue with it if

1. Rosie was portrayed as an actual big bad and not “secretly silly”, same issue as Val

2. ALASTOR WASNT FREAKING ASEXUAL. AND ROSIE WAS LITERALLY THE ONE TO CONFIRM THAT IN CANON (the “ace in the hole” scene was one of my favorites and now it’s ruined for me. Of course.)

I know k!nky asexuals exist and are completely valid and yall are awesome, and I’d be fine seeing that represented if, you know, ALASTOR WASNT SHOWN TO BE FREAKING SEX REPULSED?? HAVE WE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE FREAKING

AND GOING BACK TO WHAT I SAID BEFORE: AT LEAST SURVIVORS WHO RELATE TO ANGEL KNEW THAT HE WAS A VICTIM LONG BEFORE THE RELEASE OF POISON AND S1. Since I’m here anyway, yeah my Hellaverse AU won’t have any of this crap. Alastor will be owned by either Lilith or Roo, whichever one makes more sense when S2 comes out and we see more of Lilith and see if Roo was scrapped or not. Right now he’s owned by Lilith in the AU and his relationship with Rosie is exactly like in S1: genuine and comfortable. I’m sorry but I’m not letting Vic’s awful plot direction here ruin one of the few good relationships in the show.

And I’m sorry if any of this is exaggerated by accident, I’m just, er, very passionate about minorities being disrespected this badly and this is kinda just me dumping my thoughts and rage into writing /gen

On a small but light note, the other clip is actually really cool!! Makes sense for Heaven to have Goitia as well as Hell, and as long as this bird doesn’t turn out Stolas then I’m pretty happy with this :D

-The Nautikids got banished to appeared in Hell somewhere between episodes 2-3 of Hazbin. So just after Sir Pentious became a hotel resident, and a bit before Lucifer showed up.

-The Pride Ring is the only place they can go out as themselves, no disguises or costumes or anything. This is because they're both able to and have also received permission from Lucifer and Charlie to traverse the other rings if they want to-- on the condition that they MUST be using Asmodean Crystals to disguise themselves as imps. This particular bit is for their own safety; if word gets out that there are still-living mortals wandering around in the other rings, it's more than likely that all Hell will break loose (pun intended).

-They're not too afraid of all that goes on with the demons, on account of being armed with holy weapons and light magic, but they do keep their guard up a lot just in case.

-IN RELATION TO THE TRAVELLING IN THE OTHER RINGS THING: The Nautikids have specifically been told to stay away from the other Deadly sins, especially Mammon and Ozzie. Mammon because he's a horrible sleazebag who cares for absolutely no one but himself and would likely eat them all if he got the chance or something, and Ozzie... well, not because his personality, but... for other, more obvious reasons. So if a Sin shows up? Then they're gonna be all "See ya!"

-Nessa in particular tries not to go to the Wrath ring. And if she does or has to, she brings at least two canteens or water bottles full of water. This is because it's very hot there, and being Siren-- a creature that needs to regularly be in or drink a lot of water-- she won't survive if she doesn't have any with her.

-They all think the Exorcists (and Sera) suck, and Nessa and Ashy do/would enjoy annoying/tormenting Adam and Lute in particular. They hold nothing against other angels and don't hate the rest of them though, for the most part.

The Hazbin Hotel is mounting a defense against the upcoming Exorcist attack.

Princess Charlotte “Charlie” Morningstar, the princess’s consort: Vaggie, Alastor the Radio Demon, ex-Overlord: Husk, adult film star: Angel Dust, self-proclaimed “spunky powerhouse”: Cherri Bomb, notable kingpin: Sir Pentious, and a group of sentient eggs, are all suspected to join the battle.

Princess Morningstar has recruited a group of cannibals to aid them in battle, and the two factions have been seen training together and fortifying the Hazbin Hotel in preparation for the upcoming attack. It is unclear whether or not Cannibal Town’s Overlord, Rosie, will be fighting alongside them.

Sorry I’m still not over that scene of Blitz seeing Stolas’ human form for the first time so I’m going to break it down frame by frame

Initial reaction. He’s a little confused and shocked, he didn’t seem to know that Stolas had a human disguise. His eyebrow is quirked and his mouth is wide open in shock, flabbergasted, what he’s seeing hasn’t really set in emotionally yet.

His expression starts to soften, he starts to flush (I think those two little black lines are a blush?) as he really takes it all in (that’s what she said) the “totally just sexual and nothing more” feelings are just starting to pop up.

This is “I’m fucked” level 2. His pupils start to dilate as those pesky confusing complicated feelings have really set in and are visibly expressed as those impenetrable emotional walls haven’t come up yet. He really likes Stolas whether he’s a human or a bird. This is the purest most genuine most emotional vulnerable face of this set.

And this is where the fear and anxiety come in and those walls start to come back up. His pupils contract in stress as his established fear of intimacy hits him in full force. He’s starting to really think about what he’s feeling and he doesn’t like it. This whole deal was supposed to be sexual and superficial, nothing more. In Blitz’ mind, Stolas is using him and he’s using Stolas right back. He thinks that high class demons don’t care about him and the other imps and just want to take what they want from them. These feelings of genuine affection make everything so much more complicated both for Blitz and his mental state as well as the deal between him and Stolas. He doesn’t want to think about it, it scares him, so he starts to push those feelings back down in the locked box where they belong. The walls are back up and at this point, Blitz’s mind is at DEFCON 3.
