One of the greatest joys of a tall woman is finding a pair of jeans that not only fit appropriately, but come all the way down til they touch the top of you feet.

I am 5'10 AFAB she/they, I have a 35 inch inseam and and 43 inch Foot to Hip Ratio. My legs themselves are 3'6. My legs on their own are the height of an American 1st Grader. I have the average inseam measurement of a man who is 6'7. At least according to bikecommuterhero.com (the only source I could find).

Today, I was at Walmart browsing the clearance rack with very little time. I saw a beautiful pair of dark wash flare jeans in my size for $21. They looked super long so I gave them a chance without trying them on. I got home and they not only came to the tops of my feetz but they also almost hit the ground on the back of my ankle. I would pay $100 for a pair of jeans that made me feel this beautiful.

#stobotnik #doctor ivo robotnik #agent stone #sonic movie universe #i hope you all are noticing what i'm doing with stone's clothes specifically #white shirt pre robotnik black to fit his goth boss then colors when ivo starts wearing red #also i know we all like to think robotnik hated being assigned an agent but i present to you:#he sees it as a symbol of status kinda. stone hates being here #it just feels right to me. it's not that robotnik thinks the agent will be useful at all #he's just pleased that he got one #everyone else has an assistant why shouldn't he?#this ties to a very very stupid headcanon i have #and it's that robotnik's blood type is O negative #HEAR ME OUT he would hate that. he would hate being an universal donnor because he doesn't care about saving lives of humans ew #but then stone is also O negative so that means robotnik can receive blood from him if necessary #and that's mostly the reason why he was chosen to be his assistant #ivo is too important to die! and O negative blood isn't that common #Stone knows but probably no one told robotnik #then of course imagine stone getting injured and needing blood and ivo is like wait i can do that it doesn't matter what his blood type is #you get the point #i think. i'm pretty sure there was a point #oh well #oh the no hr joke. they're a shady goverment organization i don't think they treat their people that well #that being said maybe robotnik's treatment of stone was the reason they had to get an hr department who knows

one more opinion about star trek fashion

it actually shouldn’t look like stuff you would wear (or at least a lot of it shouldn’t)

i’ve seen a lot of praise for modern trek fashion being better than classic trek because ‘people would actually wear that’

look at what people wore as everyday fashion 200-300 years ago, would you wear it? probably not, maybe for the novelty of it, but definitely not every day.

like, yeah this stuff looks crazy

it’s 300 years in the future. some of them are aliens, makes perfect sense to me that they would wear ridiculous extravagant clothes that look strange to my 21st century eye

similar to how if you showed modern fashion (especially alternative fashion/runway fashion) to someone dressed like this,

they would probably think we’re crazy.

yet for some reason modern trek wants us to believe that hundreds of years into the future people still just wear zip up hoodies?

(idk if the spock fit actually is a hoodie or not but come on man, the zipper? nothing more futuristic than a zipper?)

or this dress that looks like i could buy it in a 21st century target?

(not to hate on chapel, she’s just the only one i can find decent pictures of out of uniform)

also why is everything so grey now? when was it decided that people don’t wear colors in the future? i can not find out of uniform pictures where any of these people wear color, all black, white, grey, and maybe a bit of muted green.

tldr

clothing design in star trek should be just as important as clothing design in a period piece. i don’t think a screencap from any star trek should look like it could just as easily take place in the 21st century, i should see some crazy outfits. the clothes can do a lot of the heavy lifting to remind us that this is supposed to be far in the future.

wild to me that there are people who have no desire to paint their walls in fun ways. and i don't just mean "people who choose sad neutral colors on purpose" i mean: why aren't more homeowners out there scribbling on their walls? it's your property, you can paint and color and draw whatever you want to! when did we as a species stop fingerpainting our homes that was a mistake

#everyone should have a crayon wall. a wall reserved primarily for scribbling on with crayons #we've lost the art of cave painting. and more importantly the SPIRIT of cave painting #*me explaining to my ancestors that i have access to a unimaginable variety of pigments & paints & dyes they could only dream of #but i live in a world where walls are whitewashed and most clothing comes in like. 4 colors. and isn't even tailored to fit *#anyways my biggest homeowner pipe dream is to paint cave art inspired murals in most rooms #and then have one wall specifically reserved for doodling whenever I'm bored. I'll invite friends over for a scribble party #it's honestly so confusing to me that this is not a normal thing for kid's bedrooms especially #we've all heard of young children coloring on walls it's basically instinctive #so if you can afford to why not let your kid have a wall in their bedroom reserved for doodling
