Hiiii sooo I've been very busy lately because... I'm participating to the SVSSS Big Bang for the very first time! @svsssbigbang

I'm illustrating @adventure-waffles's fic, alongside @dustmeadowx and Qiye. A SVSSS x Night at the Museum AU! Check it out when it comes out, everyone's done an amazing job for it!

It couldn't complement the story more beautifully. I’m also endlessly grateful to my beta readers @lieutenantruby and @sun-turner for their invaluable feedback!

Excerpt from 'Helpless is the Heart' by matsinko

Binghe lifts his head, meeting his shizun’s gaze again. That small, gentle smile has returned, and it pulls at something raw and aching in Binghe’s chest. He wants to say something, anything—but the words stick in his throat. He feels pathetic, facing this man who means everything to him, and yet all he knows is that he does not deserve him, not like that.

Instead, he reaches out, his hand brushing lightly against Shen Qingqiu’s as if anchoring himself. One touch—selfishly, he’ll allow himself as much. He’s not sure what he’s holding onto—this moment, this fragile peace, this man who is everything he’s ever wanted.

Shen Qingqiu follows the movement, gaze sinking into where their hands meet. He does not scold Binghe, nor does he pull away. Instead, he asks, “Do you not trust this master, Binghe?”

The words are a well-calculated question, gentle but pointed. Shen Qingqiu knows how to press where it counts—not out of cruelty but to elicit the answer he wants. He’s always been like this, and Luo Binghe would always follow. He stiffens now, feeling affronted despite himself.

“There’s nobody that I trust more, Shizun,” Binghe replies quietly, though the tension in his voice betrays his turmoil. His fingers curl slightly, brushing against Shen Qingqiu’s again. How can he even begin to express his fears?

I’m excited to finally post my preview for the @svsssbigbang! The first half of this ~45k fic will be dropping on March 2nd on my ao3 (@Cour104). 

This fic concept has been sitting in my WIPs folder for years, so I’m very thankful this event finally gave me the opportunity and motivation to finish it! I got the privilege of working with not one, but two incredible artists for this project, and the works they created for this piece are so lovely. I’d also like to thank my wonderful beta @matsinko, without whom none of this would have been possible. Genuinely, I even needed help coming up with a title, and was so, so thankful I had someone to talk to and bounce ideas off of! Matsinko also participated in the Big Bang, and wrote a post-canon Bingqiu fic that I’m excited to read. It will be dropping on February 14th on ao3!

“Liu-shidi,” Yue Qingyuan acknowledged, forcing a genial smile on his face. “Any news on Qingqiu-shidi?” “I couldn’t find him,” Liu Qingge said, his voice unapologetic and uncaring. “But I did find this brat who stole Xiu Ya.” Liu Qingge stepped aside, and only then did Yue Qingyuan realize they weren’t alone. A child stood at Liu Qingge’s side, clutching Xiu Ya to his chest and glaring at the man like his gaze alone could slice him to pieces. There was dirt smudged on his red cheeks, fury etched into his features. He held himself tall and proud, even while adorned by rags, his hair limp and tangled. “Fuck you, I already told you I didn’t steal it!” The child kicked Liu Qingge in the shin with enough force that the Bai Zhan War God actually flinched. “I found it, it’s mine now! The only way your precious shixiong is getting it back is if I’m gracious enough to shove it up his—” “Xiao Jiu?”

Or: Shen Qingqiu de-ages. Yue Qingyuan is the only one happy about this.

Sneak Peak for you: "Though maybe Yue Qingyuan’s seeming lack of concern with the chill was because he  apparently ran as hot as the sun. Even with a respectable palm’s width between them Shen Qingqiu could feel the warmth pouring off him. The man was like a living, breathing furnace!

Shen Qingqiu was currently contemplating the potential cons of throwing propriety to the wind and stepping just a little bit closer in hopes of leeching some of that warmth off of him. Really, what was a little shared body heat between bros?"
