The event will be continuing into February 2025. What will happen after that will depend on many factors but we do hope that there will be future SVSSS big bangs.

is there any rule against writing fics inspired by other fics? with credit ofc

It's fine to get inspired by another work, everybody does, but that's your starting point. Your fic needs to be your original fanfiction not tied to any other fic be it yours or someone else's (even with permission) so not an unofficial sequel or a fic in the same verse. Basically, the original work should not be required reading to understand your fic.

Is there a specific time when invites will be start to sent out?

There’s no specific time, but it’ll take the next few days. We’ve already sent the first batch of invites so be sure to check your junk/spam folder if you haven’t gotten yours already. Since we’re doing it by email for automation purposes, we can only send a certain amount each day (or else gmail gets nasty) so don’t worry if you haven’t gotten yours. You should be getting the invite within a week of signing up but if they don’t arrive by then and if it’s not in the spam folder, feel free to DM us here or on twitter and we’ll get you sorted out.

Hi! for the question about how many fics one can make art for, is that commitment or just like "this is as much as i could handle" (like if i click 3 is it garanteed ill do 3 pieces or is it "up to 3")

It would be “up to three fics”. You can do however many pieces you want to do for each one (min. 1). But if you’re assigned more than one fic but is too much, let us know asap and we’ll reorganize any changes that may need to be made.
