Honestly a sorry from Curly would mean nothing to Anya.

I’m not saying she wouldn’t want to hear it, it’s a hollow vindication. She told him and he couldn’t hear her. He saw it and he couldn’t understand it. They both experienced it and he should apologize that it took that for him to get it. She already knows he’s sorry but what’s the point if neither of them can do anything about it? It’s earnest but at the same time what she wants an apology for is what Curlu can’t apologize for.

He can’t be sorry for what happened to her even if he is. Even if he carries that guilt with him until the day he dies it’s not all his to bare. The most heinous parts aren’t his weight even if he tries to balance it. A part of her bitterness is the fact he can’t be sorry for it all. She can’t just direct it all towards him even if she wants to. She was failed in so many ways by all of them. It hurts with him the most cause he had the power but they all did nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The one person who should apologize would never and could never, it’s not something you can be sorry for. She wants an apology, she needs one but what would it fix?

They way all the ninja are capable of going to university and finishing school with a degree but literally just don’t because being a ninja is the only thing that gives them a purpose in life when they didn’t have one.

I love AU’s where the ninja choose a different path in life or completely push away the whole ninja thing from the beginning but then i look at canon and i realise they would never and could never do that there.

Kai and Nya had no purpose in life, wishing for something more rather then simply following the path given to them, but they had no other choice with nothing else in front of them.

Cole and Zane were so lost as they tried to find out who they are, what they are. Moving from place to place they needed a reason to live.

Jay and Lloyd were desperate to prove themselves worthy. To show that they are capable of achieving their goals even when the reality is much more bitter.

Kai and Nya needed to become ninja (samurai at first for a certain someone) to find a purpose in life. Something that makes them important to the world when they believed no one, not even their parents (at the time), thought they were. Leaving their mark larger than anyone could’ve anticipated.

Cole and Zane needed to become ninja as it allowed them to come peace with who they truly are, as well as learning how to grow and accept the things around them with more love than they ever received.

Jay and Lloyd needed to become ninja to become something prove something to everyone. To show that they are far stronger than they ever were before. That despite the pain and despair they would climb back up with their fingers bleeding if they must, simply to prove that they can, to prove everyone else wrong.

Becoming ninja was something none of them could’ve avoided. Wu can be blamed as much as you like, and in all honesty he should’ve had a bigger hand in everything going on, but if he hadn’t taken the ninja in and made them who they are something or someone else much, much worse would’ve forced them too.

No matter what occurs they all always lead back to becoming ninja again. To fight and to survive and to defend, that is the sole reason any of them live on. Destiny is a strong driving force in Ninjago, especially with these six. They cannot, and will not ever leave their duty as ninja and as people. It made them who they are.

They’re all awfully different from one another. Confident, shy, kind, brave, loud, quiet, whatever. But one of their biggest similarities is their desires to feel the blood rushing through their veins.

They yearn for their hearts to beat out of their chest, for the sweat to drip down their skin as it mingled with the sweet blood they let loose. They need it, even when they don’t. They’re addicted in a way they hate and love at the same time.

Okay so maybe i trailed off a bit at the end, but my beginning point still stands. The ninja are capable of starting new lives, they’ve done it before, but the second their realm demands it they drop everything to become ninja again. To be near one another even when they can’t stand to see each other’s faces.

Sorry guys i was thinking about how Morro’s whole thing was about defying destiny and then i thought the ninja literally can’t do that because they choose not too.
