The anime does cut things, but the only one that comes to mind from what ive watched (didn't finish it myself) was the muscle devil when Denji has to follow Makimas orders for the first time.

Other than that I feel like the tone of the domestic scenes are different, slower and more serene, more in line of what an atmospheric horror movie would use to set what the status quo is

Also I know theres stuff added in the Mosquito devil fight

(Personally I would recommend reading the manga because its further along and you get to see how Fujimoto uses the medium but thats just me)

I was thinking of restarting csm, I dropped it at volume 11 or so bc I couldn't follow what was happening (like from the start bc I was on tons of En drops and other pills), is it a good idea to watch the anime or is it better to just reread it from the top? Hi! this is-- more than a little strange maybe (and also very long, sorry!!), but when I'm not being an internet gremlin, my job is related to... a lot of the topics you mention in cognitive dissonance blues; I know it's been a while since you released it and also things are abbreviated for artistic/not having a 90hr song reasons, but on the off chance it's at all hopeful for you:

the panama papers haven't actually fallen off the radar and have led to a lot of those in them facing consequences plus generally more international data journalism cooperation on similar projects (International Consortium of Investigative Journalists have a good run down on it; a search for 'panama papers + ICIJ' should bring it up if you're wanting more info)

the current tally of recovered tax as a result of investigations related to the papers (and the 2+ following drops, paradise, and pandora + the offshore leaks database) is, very conservatively, 1.3B dollars; that's jumped a lot in even the last 4 years, and will continue to increase bc there's still cases in progress related to it globally.

Chile alone is expected to recover ~$1.5B in unpaid taxes , primarily from Glencore as part of a currently running case that's related in part to the papers

it's also led to a LOT tighter money laundering laws, and a general crackdown on tax havens; NZ's foreign trusts, as an example, dropped 75% bc of laws brought in to curb the use of the country as a shell location

several of the people involved with assassinating Daphne Galizia have been convicted and sentenced for their parts in her death, at this point (most recent june 2025); there's also a long running project by a collection of journalists and people who knew her to preserve and continue her work, called the Daphne Project

IMO, one of the most annoying consequences of people treating autism like it's just quirky special interests and nothing else is that people will say "autism isn't an excuse for [known symptom or common trait of autism, including actual diagnostic criteria]" with no irony.

I've seen "autism isn't an excuse to be a picky eater," "autism isn't an excuse to struggle with tone/misread sarcasm in a post," "autism isn't an excuse to be bad at social cues" (with the comment of "literally just go out and learn by talking to people, it's not that hard," as if autistic people don't already do that), "autism isn't an excuse to not make eye contact, that's so rude," "autism isn't an excuse to wear headphones in class or work, nobody else gets to do that," and "autism isn't an excuse to be unemployed/live with your parents/not leave the house enough" (wondering if this person has any idea HSN autistic people exist?). Some people here are like half a drink away from saying having flat affect is "literally weaponized incompetence!!!" or something. I'm starting to wonder what you people think autism even is. Because if you've found a way for autistic people to turn off the most basic symptoms (like sensory sensitivity or difficulty with social settings), that's news and you need to share your incredible findings with the world immediately.

(Disclaimer in case one is necessary: I am not talking about assholes trying to use autism as an excuse for bigotry, like white tumblr users being racist about rap or musk's nazi salute. I am talking about things that autism symptoms actually cause, including things that are completely harmless to others but are treated as problems simply because allistic people find them weird or annoying.)

Facial age estimation – you show your face via photo or video, and technology analyses it to estimate your age.

Not only is this such a fucking breach of privacy, but this is going to hurt adults in vulnerable and abusive situations. Some adults don’t have bank accounts or credit cards or even a fucking phone. I’m one of them. I could not give half of this information even if I wanted to. What the fuck is this. Fuck the UK government. This isn’t going to protect kids, this is just going to hurt adults, and I know full well when they say “sites that allow pornography” they’re going to be going after sites that have huge amounts of queer content, like tumblr and Ao3. Queer kids are gonna lose their fucking communities because of this shit. Abuse victims are going to lose online support systems because of this.

I’m genuinely fucked off about this, and worried about whether I’m going to lose every single one of my online friends. Anyone in the UK, please email your MP and sign this petition. It needs to reach 100k signatures to pass through Parliament.

I’m only hoping the backlash will be big enough for them to stop implementing these measures.

The only piece of g5 that tried explaining it was the comics. To no surprise, the comics came in clutch. According to them, Cloudsdale was abandoned and the cloud factory was left on autopilot when pegasi couldn't fly anymore. It's the same comic where THIS happens.
