Something something election thoughts. Feels like the world is closing in on me. I keep having to steady my breathing & remind myself that, as of right now, I live on mostly safe & secure ground. I'm not enrolled in any sort of education, I'll be okay if the DOE falls apart. I live amongst a bunch of other racial minorities. I'll probably still be able to transition if I stay where I am & just... don't do anything risky or stupid.

It's his last term. If 4 years passed quick the first time, they'll pass again. Shitty elections & presidents just a part of growing up and adulting in the U.S. I can't get everything I want, after all. Come on, Jonah. You're 21. Be a man.

Feels kinda selfish to push all the Southerners and other countries and the younger people in my family out of my mind for a minute, but for the sake of not becoming a statistic & hopefully seeing a better world later, I think I gotta focus on what's still safe.

Most of the country is falling apart, but... right now, I still have myself. So I'm hanging on to that. I can still keep trying to access an education. I can still keep drawing and working hard. And as long as this roof stays over my head... it'll be okay.

Practicing some gratitude for the following:

A clump of cells & some literal dick's audacity won't get me killed on these grounds. Not yet. Hopefully not ever.

I still have access to all the music I'd like to hear. Haven't heard Cavetown's voice in a long time. That cover of "I Know A Place" has been comforting.

I'm not bound to book bans. I can keep reading about disability rights, queer people, herpetology, and any other animal science/sociology topic I want. Plenty of books in my inventory that I haven't got through yet.

I'm a skilled guy. Maybe it's time to lock in and take art more seriously. PB merch might sell? I could use half the money on me and the other half on the Recess Project or something. Update my comms prices a bit.

There's a gaming channel uploading Let's Play videos of one of my favorite Mario RPGs. They've been posting every day. So I always have something to look forward to :,)

I got a neat new outfit yesterday. I think I'll wear it. Boost my ego a bit.

Bruce Wayne is canonically a very handsome man (he is called a "pretty boy" and he is in his 40s, for fuck's sake), and he is pretty famous as a rich philanthropist who doesn't want to leave his awful cursed crime infested city. So, there must be a ton of people thirsting over him on the internet. Fancams, edits, fanfics and imagines ("kidnapped with Bruce Wayne 😍 by a Gotham rogue"), the whole charade!

And anytime one of the batkids stumbles on a thirst post, they have the most dramatic disgusted reaction, loudly gagging, before sending the link to the batkids chat, because if they must suffer, then they should all suffer. Clicking on a link in this groupchat is like playing russian roulette, and getting rickrolled is a good ending.

well well! Sun is no stranger to hugs! he doesn't usually initiate hugs, but he's used to receiving them from when he was a daycare attendant. he's never really learned when is a good time to pull back tho, so he often stays put until you pull back first:

As a fanfiction blog, I’m putting the warning out there to anyone that hasn’t already heard that one of the main things they want to go after is anything violent, LGBT, or adult content. Well, that will include fanfiction. It’s likely they’ll try to take down sites like Wattpad and AO3, so if you have fics on either of those sites you are especially attached to, you will probably want to start downloading and saving them. It’s even highly possible that they’ll take down tumblr, and it’s possible it will become risky to even be running a blog like this, as they’re threatening to put anyone who writes such content in jail. I am not even kidding.

If there’s any fanfic material that you have personally written or that someone else has written that you particularly enjoy, now especially is the time to start storing it and saving it so you can make sure you can still enjoy it if it comes down to it. I have no idea if they absolutely will be banning such things, I know they’ll probably try to (many states have already banned adult websites or require proof of identification to access them), so I suggest doing what you can now. Maybe they won’t end up doing it and it will have been for nothing, but maybe they will and you’ll be thankful that you did.

In the same vein, buy physical copies of any movies or download them if you can, and that goes for shows as well, and any video games or books you’re particularly fond of. We’ve got about two months to prepare before they start launching into and doing things. In their intent to censor everything, make sure you’re doing the best that you can to protect your right to free speech. Apparently they’re gonna be banning an entire gigantic list of books, including Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight, The Hobbit, and Alice in Wonderland (to name a few big ones) and like hundreds more that we were raised on from schools and libraries, and I wouldn’t be surprised that if they succeed in doing that that they’ll go on to ban their sales.

Save and store anything that you can at this point. In order to prevent things like this we’ve got to help each other and stand up for ourselves and our rights. Do not get complacent. Do not let them walk all over you. If it ever comes down to my blog disappearing because of all of this please know I will still be standing beside all of you and supporting you still. We must continue standing up for ourselves and our rights.
