well well! Sun is no stranger to hugs! he doesn't usually initiate hugs, but he's used to receiving them from when he was a daycare attendant. he's never really learned when is a good time to pull back tho, so he often stays put until you pull back first:

I've always felt that it'd be Killua who initiates the first hug we see between him and Gon

#i have my reasons for this #i feel like i'm in the minority though... i know gon is honest and much more emotionally expressive #but he's not actually more tactile than killua #i... i actually do think that it's killua who initiates much of the contact between them (fistbumps and poking and hand on shoulder)#if i'm not mistaken anyways #and he's very tactile with alluka and nanika (carrying + hugs + handholding)#granted that's his sister(s) but still. killua is far from touch averse - his getting embarrassed is a cute trait to be sure #but i do think he'll get a bit better at accepting that kind of thing once he's had some time with alluka and nanika #a lot of that does come after all from his feelings of unworthiness - and now that his sisters need open affection after so long being alon #he's going to have to gain at least some comfort with giving and receiving love #gon and mito go for hugs either at the same time or mito initiates. gon hugs leorio in the scene right after he's revived #but idk idk i just feel like he won't be the first to initiate a hug with killua especially since i suspect he still feels quite guilty #i think it would show growth on both their parts. not to mention it'd be very sweet to have gon a bit blindsided + happily surprised #as he's the one typically honest and forthright with appreciation and compliments while killua is. not. lmao #i think he should receive a nice hug from his best friend. and then i think they would both know it's gonna be ok. :')#storyrambles #hunter x hunter #hxh #killua zoldyck #gon freecss #this is so sappy. what's wrong with me. this is what they do to me.#random thoughts

thinking about how neither bruno nor dusk really treated their sons like their sons... bruno presented himself as more of a stoic mentor figure for castor to emulate than a father he could rely on, while dusk acted like more of a casual friend for cecil rather than his mother....

im very much a beginner at sewing BUT i do think this turned out pretty charming despite all the flaws!!

#i made her for one of my best friends #its a tiny version of her cat and said cat is named tiny #never use stretch fabric as a beginner its hell to work with ough #i had fun though!! despite a few times i got pretty frustrated #i also was swearing up a storm and talking to myself quiety the whole time but that just helped me focus lmao #sewing #plushies #handmade #cat #yew branch #also someone who was there when i gave this to my friend came up to me shortly afterwards #and she asked if she could commission me for three of these bc she has three cats #i said itd prooobably be around $150 but id reduce it a lot if she paid for whatever new fabrics and matching thread id need #id be charging that high because this single plushie took me eight hours #but also the girl has a stetched septum at my goal size and i asked if she still has the various sized jewelry she used during the process #and she said yes and that she would be delighted to give them to someone who is just starting the process #she said she would give me them for free but if she does commission me im gonna give a further discount in exchange for the jewelry #her bf arrived to pick her up unexpectedly early though so she had to leave really fast bc he refused to wait :/#so i didnt get her contact info. but literally everyone at that hangout knows her so i can just get her contact info from them #im pretty excited about this tbh itd be wonderful to have motivation like that to get back into sewing #even if she doesnt end up commissioning me its still a confidence boost that she asked me!!#also the friend whos birthday it was (shes a new years eve baby!) yesterday was the last day i’ll see my best friend in my program for a MONTH and it’s so sad. we had a really really nice time genuinely the nicest time and i left feeling very secure and happy and loved. but that was the 13th of dec . and i don’t think ill see him again until the 12th of jan. which is FOUR horrible long weeks. and i miss him so much already. and he’s terrible at texting too so :(

Something kind of funny that I just remembered because of stuff that popped up on chat, but...

Zikiriel is one of the tallest of his brothers. Kind, and gentlemanly and polite overall, and yet it still surprises people when they see him sit, or take a knee when he talks to his oldest brother. All because Eno is quite a bit shorter than him, and Zi doesn't want to make him look up at him when he talks.

He used to do the same thing with their mom-- it's just something he does with people that are much shorter than him that he respects a lot.
