Possible Corruption in Cheongpyeong
From Korean sources in 2024. All Korean names have been redacted.
In 2018 a criminal complaint was filed concerning possible corruption at the Magnolia Corporation at Cheongpyeong.
.1. Overview of the case According to the lawsuit, in March 2017 a private company named Magnolia Corporation was founded with a capital of 50 million won (USD$37,000). When Magnolia was established in July 2017, Tongil Foundation lent 5 billion won to Magnolia (USD$3.7 million). In November 2017 an additional 2.3 billion won (USD$1.7 million) was provided as a loan. It is also strange that Tongil Foundation acquired all the shares of the Magnolia Corporation in December. In February 2018 Magnolia Corporation made a capital increase by issuing new stocks, and Tongil Foundation and Cheongshim Church paid 2.5 billion won (USD$1.8 million) for this capital increase.
.2. The Facts of the case According to an investigation, the facts were slightly different. At that time, the Foundation spent 11 billion won (USD$820,000) to build the building, allowing the Magnolia Corporation to use it. What’s funny is that there was no down payment and no monthly rent was paid – it was used for free. There could be embezzlement. In addition, 7.3 billion won (USD$5.48 million) was handed over for the first time for the renovation of the interior of the Magnolia Corporation, and 8 billion won (USD$6 million) as capital increase for the second time. 15.3 billion won was used for interior renovation and to buy furniture. Magnolia Corporation opened a hair salon, cafés, seolleongtang (Korean bone stock soup and brick oven pizzeria, and eventually all went bankrupt and Tongil Foundation moved in.
Magnolia claims that most of the borrowed money was used for the interior renovation and to purchase goods. Interestingly, the company that did the interior renovation of Magnolia at the time was the company of a brother of a church leader. How should one understand contracting a multi-billion won interior renovation project to someone who has no interior renovation experience? In addition, it was said that the person who supplied the furniture of these stores was the spiritual child of a senior executive. This rumor was convincing. At that time, there were many complaints that the purchased furniture was too expensive. At the same time, 150 employees were working at the Seolleongtang (Korean bone stock soup) store. What Seolleongtang store has 150 employees (according to data submitted by Magnolia to the Korean Prosecution Services)? Many miracles happen at Cheongpyeong! It was claimed that the money borrowed from the Foundation was used to pay for their salaries and interior decorations. Should this be believed?
.3. Conclusion of the case The case was eventually dismissed due to insufficient evidence. In Cheongpyeong, a leading law firm in Korea was appointed for a large sum, but in fact, the biggest reason for the acquittal was that the lawyer made a mistake in specifying the victims of the malfeasance and embezzlement. Members were not the victims of the financial crime, but the Foundation was the victim …
.4. Observation Cheongpyeong was always like this. Eating up blood money [hard-earned donations] from members under the excuse of running various businesses. Why did the Foundation invest a lot of money in the Magnolia Corporation? Members would have noticed. Perhaps it was an order from above.
At that time, it was known that the money invested in Magnolia did not proceed normally. The vice chairman of the foundation opposed the investment in Magnolia and raised the possibility of corruption happening in Magnolia.
It is sad to see the opening of any store in Cheongpyeong costing billions or tens of billions of won: Aqua Café, Cheongpyeong Marina, Flower Garden, mystery Zoo… No one expects any profits. It is questionable whether they will be able to recover the investments. There are allegations of corruption.
If invited, an external audit could clear up any allegations of corruption.

Do you have a masterlist of your AU's somewhere? I'm simply a bit confused on where to find them and if they've actually been written at all, I'd just like to make sure I haven't missed anything as I'd really like to read them!
Oh my days anon bless you I am SO sorry, all my things are always a convoluted mess of stuff - no masterlist as of yet, but let me make one here real quick to explain to you where you can find everything (now placed below the cut)
(Note - some tumblr links may not work on mobile, but I put all the tags in the tags if you need them!)
CAMPERVAN AU - this is the main one, also known as the au where the doctor is an investigative journalist with amnesia and the tardis is a campervan. You can find the written parts of this one on ao3 (+ extra excerpts) and then there's also the campervan au tag on this blog for any asks people have sent, as well as artwork that I've done
Then - campervan au has FOUR offshoot aus. They are anterograde au (Notes to Self), ziptie au (The Ties That Bind Us), redacted au (All That Divides Us), and au5 (And I Run (Love, Run)). None of these are posted on ao3 at all, mostly because they're a mess but also because they are mired in spoilers for the main verse. Maybe when I'm done with the main verse, I'll post stuff I've written of the others. I'll briefly explain what they are for clarity and link their tags on my blog:
anterograde au - the one where the train crash results in the Doctor having anterograde amnesia rather than retrograde, so she can no longer form new memories. It's the one about brain injuries, autonomy, caregiver fatigue, learning that you are not alone, and the O'Briens adopting spydoc (cry over adult thoschei edtion). The tag is here
ziptie au - the one where the very end part 1 of campervan au goes differently and 1) graham, yaz and ryan die (I KNOW SORRY) 2) the doctor, ada and noor get captured with koschei. It's the one about separation anxiety, only being able to trust the person you hate, fist fights and identity confusion. Ziptie Thoschei are currently winning 'worst iteration of campervan thoschei' by being constantly feral. I adore them. The tag is here
redacted au - the most spoilery one. Things go differently when the doctor and koschei are kids, in a bad way. The one about breaking away from everything you've been led to believe, ft the doctor playing 4D gender chess with pronouns. Looks like a role reversal but it really isn't. The tag is here.
au5 - the other most spoilery one! Things go differently when they're kids, in a good way. The one about co-dependence, one-sided pining (until it isn't) and ghost-hunting. The O'Briens adopting spydoc (cry over baby thoschei edtion). The tag is here
THEN.
PIRATE AU - aka that one time I wrote a 2k oneshot which is here on ao3, but then my brain wouldn't let it go and it spiralled wildly out of control and I told maybe three people about it. The Doctor is a privateer captain and the Master is an ex-lover ex-best friend pirate captain that she keeps betraying (but like he also killed nearly her entire crew so Y'KNOW don't feel too bad for him). Maybe one day I'll try and write it, but I cannot express how MASSIVE it is. The tag is here
ZOMBIE AU - my most recent project. The Doctor is a traumatised virologist trying to find a cure whilst everyone else tries to get her to forgive herself. Currently posting on ao3 right here (chapter 7 literally just went up tonight, I'm posting weekly around 7:30pm ish GMT on Wednesdays) but there is also the tag on my blog of course.
Hope that helps! <3
#taka replies#anon#long post#masterlist#campervan au#anterograde au#ziptie au#[redacted] au#au5#pirate au#zombie au#SKSK there are all the tags for you if you need them like that lol#taka writes#i keep just spitting out ideas into the void#and then not actually making anything make sense to anyone#SKSKSKSKS THIS IS FINE bless you anon#i'm so chuffed that you wanted a list!!!#here you go!! <3#the main thing to remember is that i will always post finished stuff to ao3#but only when it's finished#or like#a self-contained excerpt#when/if i finished campervan#WHEN because I believe in myself#then i'll probably clean up a ton of the other au excerpts#so i can just post them with a little explanation because they're all far too long to write out in full#like anterograde is 34k SKSKSKS BUT IT'S JUST RANDOM BITS YKNOW??#anyway

A professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) allegedly assigned a classroom exercise titled "Revealing Whiteness Activity."
Professor Jane Lopez assigned the activity as homework and instructed students to photograph three representations of "Whiteness" on campus.
According to the assignment instructions, "Whiteness is defined as:
"(1) a location of structural advantage or 'race privilege'[;] (2) a 'standpoint' or place from which White people look at themselves, at others, and at society, and (3) a set of cultural practices that are usually unmarked and unnamed."
The assignment was allegedly publicized in a now-deleted social media post by the student-led organization BYU Conservatives. According to the group, they began facing backlash from university staff after the post was originally made.
A screenshot obtained by Campus Reform shows BYU Professor Eric Bybee claiming that the group had broken the university's Intellectual Property Policy and Honor Code. Bybee then asked for the post to be removed.
Additionally, the group says it received private messages from Bybee that accuses the students of "invit[ing] targeted harassment" of faculty members.
"Your beliefs do not give you the right to violate university/faculty member intellectual property and invite targeted harassment of one of my colleagues," he stated.
The students say Bybee also threatened to contact the "Honor Code office" and the "BYU Faculty Center" to investigate the social media account if the post was not removed.
Through the student account is anonymous, Bybee assured he would request that all "BYU students associated with the account and website" be investigated.
He then listed specific names of individuals who have been associated with the organization.
Although the original post was deleted, the BYU conservatives later reposted the assignment, along with the private messages with Bybee's name redacted.
In response, Bybee continued to message the organization, stating, “I would also invite you to reflect on the wide latitude that BYU has to police the behavior of students and faculty. Please understand that I am willing to use BYU’s unique policies in whatever way necessary to ensure that my colleges avoid the type of harassment that has become too common [in] other places.”
Professor Bybee responded to Campus Reform’s request for comment regarding his remarks on the group’s original post.
“Per BYU’s Intellectual Property Policy, all course materials created by professors are owned by the university," he explained. "Additionally, the Honor Code Office expressly prohibits the posting of 'proprietary course materials to 3rd party sites.'”
Furthermore, Bybee stated that he believed "conservative perspectives are a vital part of a healthy civil society" and that he "welcome[s] these perspectives in my classroom."
[RELATED: Warrant out for arrest of student protester who allegedly assaulted conservative student]
However, Bybee clarified that students must express their views without " However, students must find ways to express these views without "violating academic honesty and the commitments that they made when they chose to come to BYU.”
The BYU Conservatives countered Professor Bybee’s claim, writing on the post:
“Our purpose with posting the assignment was commentary and criticism. We believe this falls under fair use law. We even spoke to the Honor Code Office and they admitted they were not sure if it did or not.”
Campus Reform spoke with the students who run the BYU Conservatives account. Both wished to remain anonymous.
One student described their surprise at the ferocity of the backlash.
“The barrage of comments, the professor claiming we ‘flagrantly’ violated the honor code, naming names of everyone he could find that might be a page admin, saying he would report it the next morning to the head of the entire honor code office in addition to some other department I had never heard of before, and accusing us of inciting targeted harassment. It was a lot,” the student recalled.
The other student told Campus Reform, “We get hate all the time and that is just how politics is. The assignment had been circulating for weeks online before we posted it."
"The key thing is that the left in the university doesn’t want its ideas exposed to others," the student continued. "Which is a weird thing if they actually believe their ideas are consistent with the truth.”
Campus Reform reached out to Professor Lopez and Brigham Young University. This article will be updated accordingly.

How the CIA and International Banks Profit from Illegal Drug Operations: History of the Trade (1988)
youtube
John R. Stockwell (born 1937) is a former CIA officer who became a critic of United States government policies after serving seven tours of duty over thirteen years. Read more about his experiences in Vietnam: https://thememoryhole.substack.com/p/...
Dirty Laundry: How I Stole Billions in CIA Drug Money, Almost
THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY and your government is committing it! TOP SECRET government documents, affidavits, confidential letters, and CIA admissions back up the author's claim that tons of gold bullion and hundreds of billions of dollars -- if not trillions -- are being hidden from the public in secret CIA-controlled bank accounts. In five extraordinary chapters the author reveals (1) How he temporarily acquired power-of-attorney over hundreds of CIA bank accounts from a CIA operative; (2) How he used the Mafia to confirm the existence of these accounts; (3) How he tricked the FBI into confirming them; (4) How he used one judge to implicate five others in the cover-up; (5) How he "paid" five friends $150-million each with CIA money; (6) How a $957,000 tax bill was paid with CIA money; and (7) How he almost "stole" billions in CIA drug money for returning to the American people. Included is a confidential list of 180+ subpoenable witnesses with knowledge of these secret bank accounts: bankers, judges, lawyers, top government officials and private citizens. The author's fiery expose of massive money laundering by the White House, CIA, NSA, and Treasury makes the Pentagon Papers, Watergate, and Iran-gate look like a Girl Scout campfire! For security reasons, the name of the CIA operative and his family, as well as the name and account number of these worldwide bank accounts, has been changed and/or redacted throughout this book. (IMPORTANT: The Top-Secret documents are not included in this ebook version, only in the print version.)
Whiteout: The CIA, Drugs and the Press
On March 16, 1998, the CIA’s Inspector General, Fred Hitz, finally let the cat out of the bag in an aside at a Congressional Hearing. Hitz told the US Reps that the CIA had maintained relationships with companies and individuals the Agency knew to be involved in the drug business. Even more astonishingly, Hitz revealed that back in 1982 the CIA had requested and received from Reagan’s Justice Department clearance not to report any knowledge it might have of drug-dealing by CIA assets. With these two admisstions, Hitz definitively sank decades of CIA denials, many of them under oath to Congress. Hitz’s admissions also made fools of some of the most prominent names in US journalism, and vindicated investigators and critics of the Agency, ranging from Al McCoy to Senator John Kerry. The involvement of the CIA with drug traffickers is a story that has slouched into the limelight every decade or so since the creation of the Agency. Most recently, in 1996, the San Jose Mercury News published a sensational series on the topic, “Dark Alliance,” and then helped destroy its own reporter, Gary Webb. In Whiteout, Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair finally put the whole story together from the earliest days, when the CIA’s institutional ancestors, the OSS and the Office of Naval Intelligence, cut a deal with America’s premier gangster and drug trafficker, Lucky Luciano. They show that many of even the most seemingly outlandish charges leveled against the Agency have basis in truth. After the San Jose Mercury News series, for example, outraged black communities charged that the CIA had undertaken a program, stretching across many years, of experiments on minorities. Cockburn and St. Clair show how the CIA imported Nazi scientists straight from their labs at Dachau and Buchenwald and set them to work developing chemical and biological weapons, tested on black Americans, some of them in mental hospitals. Cockburn and St. Clair show how the CIA’s complicity with drug-dealing criminal gangs was part and parcel of its attacks on labor organizers, whether on the docks of New York, or of Marseilles and Shanghai. They trace how the Cold War and counterinsurgency led to an alliance between the Agency and the vilest of war criminals such as Klaus Barbie, or fanatic heroin traders like the mujahedin in Afghanistan. Whiteout is a thrilling history that stretches from Sicily in 1944 to the killing fields of South-East Asia, to CIA safe houses in Greenwich Village and San Francisco where CIA men watched Agency-paid prostitutes feed LSD to unsuspecting clients. We meet Oliver North as he plotted with Manuel Noriega and Central American gangsters. We travel to little-known airports in Costa Rica and Arkansas. We hear from drug pilots and accountants from the Medillin Cocaine Cartel. We learn of DEA agents whose careers were ruined because they tried to tell the truth. The CIA, drugs… and the press. Cockburn and St. Clair dissect the shameful?way many American journalists have not only turned a blind eye on the Agency’s misdeeds, but helped plunge the knife into those who told the real story.
Clinton Bush and CIA Conspiracies: From The Boys on the Tracks to Jeffrey Epstein: War on Drugs, Book 4
In the 1980's, George HW Bush imported cocaine to finance an illegal war in Nicaragua. Governor Bill Clinton’s Arkansas state police provided security for the drug drops. For assisting the CIA, the Clinton Crime Family was awarded the White House. The #clintonbodycount continues to this day, with the deceased including Jeffrey Epstein.
This audiobook features harrowing true stories that reveal the insanity of the drug war. A mother receives the worst news about her son. A journalist gets a tip that endangers his life. An unemployed man becomes California’s biggest crack dealer. A DEA agent in Mexico is sacrificed for going after the big players.
The lives of Linda Ives, Gary Webb, Freeway Rick Ross and Kiki Camarena are shattered by brutal experiences. Not all of them will survive.
Dark Alliance: The CIA, the Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion 2nd Edition
Dark Alliance is a book that should be fiction, whose characters seem to come straight out of central casting: the international drug lord, Norwin Meneses; the Contra cocaine broker with an MBA in marketing, Danilo Blandon; and the illiterate teenager from the inner city who rises to become the king of crack, "Freeway" Ricky Ross. But unfortunately, these characters are real and their stories are true. In August 1996, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gary Webb stunned the world with a series of articles in the San Jose Mercury News reporting the results of his year-long investigation into the roots of the crack cocaine epidemic in America, specifically in Los Angeles. The series, titled "Dark Alliance," revealed that for the better part of a decade, a Bay Area drug ring sold tons of cocaine to Los Angeles street gangs and funneled millions in drug profits to the CIA-backed Nicaraguan Contras. Gary Webb pushed his investigation even further in his book, Dark Alliance: The CIA, The Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion. Drawing from then newly declassified documents, undercover DEA audio and videotapes that had never been publicly released, federal court testimony, and interviews, Webb demonstrates how our government knowingly allowed massive amounts of drugs and money to change hands at the expense of our communities. Webb's original article spurred an immediate outcry. Within days of publication, both of California's senators made formal requests for investigations of the U.S. government's relationship with the cocaine ring. As a result, public demonstrations erupted in L.A., Washington D.C., and New York. Then-chief of the CIA, John Deutsch, made an unprecedented attempt at crisis control by going to South Central L.A. to hold a public forum. Representative Maxine Waters later said in George magazine, "I was shocked by the level of corruption and deceit and the way the intelligence agencies have knowledge of big-time drug dealing." The allegations in Webb's story blazed over the Internet and the Mercury News' website on the series was deluged with hits—over a million in one day. A Columbia Journalism Review cover story called it "the most talked-about piece of journalism in 1996 and arguably the most famous—some would say infamous—set of articles of the decade." Webb's own stranger-than-fiction experience is also woven into the book. His excoriation by the media—not because of any wrongdoing on his part, but by an insidious process of innuendo and suggestion that in effect blamed Webb for the implications of the story—had been all but predicted. Webb was warned off doing a CIA expose by a former Associated Press journalist who lost his job when, years before, he had stumbled onto the germ of the "Dark Alliance" story. And though Internal investigations by both the CIA and the Justice Department eventually vindicated Webb, he had by then been pushed out of the Mercury News and gone to work for the California State Legislature Task Force on Government Oversight. He died in 2004. The updated paperback edition of Dark Alliance features revelations in just-released reports from the Department of Justice, internal CIA investigations, and a new cache of recently declassified secret FBI, DEA, and INS files—much of which was not known to Webb when writing the first edition of this book. Webb further explains the close working relationship that major drug traffickers had with U.S. Government agencies—particularly the DEA—and recounts the news of the past year regarding this breaking story. After more than two years of career-damning allegations leveled at Webb, joined in the past year by glowing reviews of the hardcover edition of Dark Alliance from shore to shore, the core findings of this courageous investigative reporter's work—once fiercely denied—are becoming matters of public record. The updated paperback edition of Dark Alliance adds yet another layer of evidence exposing the illegality of a major CIA covert operation.

The Stauffer family situation.
Currently there are two big scandals going on regarding family youtubers, I will summarize the events of one of them in this post and the other in another post.
I feel very deeply about both of these cases and feel a need to inform more people on what is going on. Since this blog has the most followers of my social media, I decided to post about it here.
The Stauffer family:
This family gained a audience by vlogging their forgine adoption process around 2 years ago, where they made several videos detailing how they are going to adopt a 2 year old boy from China who's name I will not use out of respect, they specifically mentioned in several videos that they definitely wanted a special needs child and there even was a video where the mother details how a doctor they were working with told them that the child's conditions are way more severe then first suspected, advising them to reconsider the adoption process. Advice they promptly ignored by their own admission.
Since then they have been featuring their adoptive son heavily on their chanel alongside their then 3 children. Using him and his condition as a content mile. Getting brand deals and so on due to the attention they gained. There was even a video where she claimed a laundry detergent helped them bound with the child. No. I am not kidding.
As it turns out, the boy did have more conditions then originally thought. Adding severe autism to the already diagnosed brain tumor he had. Meaning he would be in need of constant care through out his entire live. He also was severely traumatized from his experiences in the chinese foster system and suffered from huge attachment issues.
The Stauffers in the past two years documented the progress the child made, talking about how he has become a lot more open and even became very attached to their youngest daughter.
Fast forward to earlier this year, shortly after the Stauffers had another child (a decision a lot of people criticised them for, due to their adopted son's conditions meaning he should get their upmost attention), their son suddenly vanished from their chanel and all their social media. Causing people to be concerned.
The mother was still uploading on Instagram and her personal chanel. The father as well on his own chanel. Only their family chanel stayed empty for several month, in that time they privated and deleted a few of the videos detailing their son's adoption.
Finally they made a video where they talk about how they had to "rehome" their child because he had more health conditions they did not foresee and could no longer provide him with the care he needed. Claiming they were never made aware of how severe his conditions were.
Said the youtube millionaires as they were crying on their king sized bed in their giant house they bought with the money they got by parading their former adoptive son's disabilities around on the internet with evidence of them having been made aware still on their chanel.
People obviously are pissed at this family for literally everything that happened here, but stuff gets even messier.
Currently the Stauffers are under investigation in regards to the legality of how they gave their child up for adoption after several people were concerned about the child well being and asked them to make a wellfare check after a buzzfeed article surfaced that details how the agency that helped the Stauffers adopt the child was not notified of him being put up for adoption again nor was any other agency in their district involved. The youtubers claimed they were working closely with a agency to find a new family for him, a statement they since have redacted. Now before you freak out, the child is not missing. There are a lot of articles that have click baity titles insinuating he is missing, but the Ohio police department has issued a statement, saying the child is infact alright.
The Stauffers have opted for a private adoption process where they selected a family they seem fit to take care of their former son.
However they are still investigating if all necessary legal steps were taken to legitimately give him up for adoption.
There also have been several allegations of abuse and assault against Myka Stauffer, the families mother. A former coworker detailing how Stauffer attacked her, while said co-worker was pregnant. Other people point out a double standard the family had when it came to their adoptive son compared to their biological children. Pointing at pictures of him with his thumb tapped to his hand, to prevent him from sucking it while there are videos of his sisters sucking their thumbs on the chanel. As well as him having a different bed time and other small details that seem alarming in hignsight.
Most notable though are videos of him having outbursts, where the parents hold a camera to his face for several minutes, instead of turning their camera off to properly tend to their son.
They since have wiped their family channel clean, the mother's private chanel has been losing subscribers rapidly and a lot of the brands affiliated with them have cut ties.
If you happened to be subscribed to the Stauffer family consider unsubscribing.
Family blogs have for a long while been a controversial topic in regards to YouTube and this case illustrates exactly why.
And the fact that there is another case that is equally as disgusting at the same time is frankly not surprising but still soul crushing.

Few hours later, he suspended for a half-day without the warning (effectively starting last Monday late night in EDT) by limiting a Twitter Account to DJ Unikitty by reporting the anonymous user from the Twitter accounts. This resulted as this illegal trend called #TwitterSucks: Boycotting half of the Twitter staff and the moderators. We’ll get to that little later.
A short example for this Suspended Tweet that violates the Republic Act #10173 or Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Anything it’s posted the illegal privacy of K-Pop like BTS before the event starts, may resulted in sentence to 3-6 years in prison.
But Denny Mack has a response from Quora to OneNETnews:
Princess Twilight Sparkle & Hekapoo Diaz told exclusively to OneNETnews, they illegally stalked, framed and boycotting the entire K-Pop group/bands. They called it as “Sasaengs”. It’s like a free VIP Access in order to stalk any of your favorite K-Pop to commit and it’s illegal. All of them are against the Korean Law.
The conclusion, BigHit Entertainment has taken a bigger layer of security measures before, during and after the event. Even sadly of course, the early birds on Airports or Jetplane for it’s Private Life. K-Pop fan enthusiast is off-limits, even on Premium & VIPs if found them caught red-handed. You’ll end up a crime as permabanned for good, leaving only as a free attendee role in general but you are no longer be granted any of these VIP or Premium pass of K-Pop by any single centavo. And that’s the honest fact.
Back in this controversial topic of #TwitterSucks... Negative Tweets are suspended and red-taped to this one.
So because Twitter pinheads @Twitter management & boneheads @Twittersupport have destroyed TW Search Top Results by limiting it to only past hour I call this censorship of the news I call for Twitter to be regulated like a utility#Twittersucks #TWSearchsucks #TWSearchbroken

My New Years resolution is to ignore all Twitter & Facebook political posts from anyone going forward. I’ve realized that these engage in nothing other than spreading propoganda, hate, division and no one is held accountable for what they write. Politics is all bad! #twittersucks
— Vincent Ioia (@vjioia) January 1, 2020
Wow! Twitter really sucks!#TwitterSucks
— GAYS LOVE PRESIDENT TRUMP (@trump_gays) January 6, 2020
and
I am so pissed at Twitter! The jailed me for 12 hours for a tweet I was able to see posted hundreds of times by others. Apparently I'm stepping on some liberal Nazi Twitter Cop Toes. Good! They need to be stepped on! #TwitterSucks
— The Great Deplorable Henry ♿ (@hammy413) August 1, 2019
And one positive tweet, has a certain mistake.
FYI~ I’ve gotten 2 of these warnings in the last two day.. I have no idea why. Maybe my Gun Training Clip? Last time I received a warning like this, Twitter started deleting 1,000’s & 1,000’s of friends that I follow until I had 0 friends left🌻 #TwitterSucks If happens B patient pic.twitter.com/3OgrLFZxyA
— Cali4Trump 2020 (@DigiDiva2020) September 7, 2019
We contacted the Twitter Support to OneNETnews (even on e-mails), but he/she has no comment on us. Feedbacks and Messages in negatives will permanently ignored. It is suggestive to boycott behind the Twitter is only either the redacted names of CEO or CFO. This trend is deadly illegal and it’s against the law for the internet.
So there you go. BTS-haters are rapidly growing today. Even the newest illegal movement of propaganda trend of #TwitterSucks. This considerly needs a newest worldwide internet law to IP Banning, even using a Virtual Private Network for evasion. There is sadly nothing to declare the internet war of K-Pop & #TwitterSucks movement. Leaving the rest of the negatives to yourselves... will be electrical chair’d, suicidal or maybe both.
Life choices of K-Pop, is your future... So think twice before you head out.

Highlights Reel, Part I: Mueller’s obstruction-of-justice probe
The campaign’s reaction to reports about Russian support for Trump
“The president publicly expressed skepticism that Russia was responsible for the hacks [of the Democratic Party] at the same time that he and other Campaign officials privately sought information [REDACTED] about any further planned WikiLeaks releases. Trump also denied having any business in or connections to Russia, even though as late as June 2016 the Trump Organization had been pursuing a licensing deal for a skyscraper to be built in Russia called Trump Tower Moscow.”
The president’s behavior involving FBI Director Comey and Michael Flynn
“Referring to the FBI’s investigation of Flynn, the President said [to James Comey], ‘I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go.’”
The president’s reaction to the continuing Russia investigation
“In February 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions began to assess whether he had to recuse himself from campaign-related investigations because of his role in the Trump campaign. ... After [Jeff] Sessions announced his recusal on March 2, the President expressed anger at the decision and told advisors that he should have an Attorney General who would protect him.”
The president’s decision to fire Comey
“On May 3, 2017, Comey testified in a congressional hearing but declined to answer questions about whether the President was personally under investigation. Within days, the President decided to terminate Comey. The President insisted that the termination letter, which was written for public release, state that Comey had informed the President that he was not under investigation.”
The president’s attempts to remove the Special Counsel
“The President reacted to news that a Special Counsel had been appointed by telling advisors that it was ‘the end of his presidency’ and demanding that Sessions resign. ... The President told aides that the Special Counsel had conflicts of interest and suggested that the Special Counsel therefore could not serve. The President’s advisors told him the asserted conflicts were meritless and had already been considered by the Department of Justice.”

“I was in the courtroom yesterday during the Deutsche Bank arguments. They pretty much said Russian Oligarchs money laundered through Trump and Jared, I think he will act crazier and crazier to get out of this, he knew the argument was WEAK and what was coming. It's over”
Thread coming when I can decipher my handwriting. “The American people need to know Russian oligarchs are not using the US banking system to launder money or if our government is beholden to foreign interests and influencing president Trump”
THREAD: In 1986 I produced TV commercials for Trump Casinos. In NYC, Trump was basically a punch line. It was well known, no banks would loan to him because he stiffed them all. So it was with great interested I entered Manhattan federal court on May 22.
1) The reason for the hearings, Trump sued Deutsche Bank/Capitol trying to block Congressional subpoenas to attain his financial records. The face off, pitted House's general council Douglas Letter and Trump's lawyer Strawbridge. Presiding, US District Judge Edgardo Ramos.
2) So, here are my notes, as no phones are allowed in Federal court. I hope it makes sense. Take away: Trump does NOT understand there are two separate but equal branches of government and Congress is a check on the Executive Branch.
3) Strawbridge suggests Congress' case was too broad. 'the outer reaches of the House of Rep, Congress powers are not unlimited' and he questioned the scope of subpoenas for private and personal information for all of Trump's family and 'minors' for no 'valid legislative reason'
4) he kept saying the subpoenas to investigate 'money laundering' was a legislative law enforcement issue and should be thrown out of this court. Judge Ramos responded, 'Part of Congress' job is to look at corruption of the law'
5) Trump's lawyer continued it was an 'ethical violation' and 'crossed the line to law enforcement'. He argued the breadth of the subpoena was too broad.
6) Judge Ramos responded the subpoenas require the reaches of family members because of the structure of the Trump org included his children. Letter interjected in organized crime cases of money laundering, it was often put in the names of the grandchildren.
7) Judge Ramos suggests 'a subpoena is a way to see if foreign governments and agents are infiltrating and are interfering in our country' gave example of Fusion GPS.
8) I wrote in my notes, 'At 2:50pm, Trump's lawyers lost their case'
9) Trump's lawyers argued Congress is overstepping their power and exceeding RFDA? Not sure what that is. Then they brought in the HUAC hearings for some reason. The Judge references Tea Pot Dome and I'm officially lost.
10) Trump's lawyers wanted to know why they wanted to 'go back so far' and Judge referenced Deutsche Bank had to pay 'heavy fines' regarding Russian oligarchs and money laundering.
11) 'WHY WOULD YOU GIVE MONEY TO TRUMP WHEN NO OTHER BANK WOULD TOUCH HIM?' Then a bunch of case law was referenced as my eyes glazed over. Strawbrige for the scope of the subpoenas be narrowed.
12) At this point, Letter said it wasn't just Trump and his family they were 'going after' there were NINE OR TEN others which were redacted!
13) Judge Ramos, 'On behalf of the American people courts do not look at motives. There is a separation of powers here. 'CONGRESS IS A CHECK'.
14) Letter 'WHY WE'RE HERE IS BECAUSE OF THE BASIC MISUNDERSTANDING BY MR TRUMP, THE REASON FOR CONGRESS'
15) Letter, 'the reason to subpoena inlaws and children, the drug lords put their companies in the names of their children, Mr Kuschner is the presidents son in law in the family business'
16) Trump's lawyers argued the disclosure of family members would cause 'irreparable harm' the judge kept referencing this is about the 'separation of powers' and Trump's right to financial privacy does not apply here.
17) 'The American people need to know Russian oligarchs not usie the US banking system to launder money and is our governments beholden to foreign financial interest. If they are THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW IMMEDIATELY'
18) 'We need you to uphold the Constitution and stop the obstruction. WE need you to uphold the house oversight. CONGRESS HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW'
19) 'The court is unpersuaded' the Judge repeated over and over to each point brought by Trump. The court denied consolidation and unlikely to 'succeed on the merits' 'irreparable damage' is inappropriate, there are 'TWO BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT'
20) 'The court is unpersuaded' re RFPA. 'the court disagrees RFPA DOES NOT APPLY TO CONGRESS' I don't know what RFPA is if someone can explain.
21) Judge, 'Article 1, INVESTIGATIVE POWERS ARE BEYOND DEBATE. IT IS WITHIN CONGRESSIONAL POWER TO INVESTIGATE'
22) Judge 'The power of Congress inherent in the legislative process is to EXPOSE CORRUPTION AND PUBLICATION OF CORRUPTION' in the Bill of Rights, 'public entitled to be informed and there is no time limit to foreign intervention'
23) 'Deutsche Bank loaned Trump $2 billion when they knew it was not properly underwritten' 'money laundering is a threat to our national security'
24) So Judge Ramos ruled 'against the plaintiff' Trump's attorney requested a stay which was refused. Judges final words, 'The legislative powers are left to the voters'
Trump is defending the only member of the Trump Crime Syndicate he cares about: Capo Barbie Ivanka

Blackwing Files >Access> Project Cerberus
Figure 1: Project Cerberus, Subjects 1, 2 and 3 shown (left to right). Photo taken upon entry into the program.
Introduction: Project Cerberus consists of 3 subjects, all sisters. As infants, the triplets were separated at birth yet gathered together later in life.
Date of apprehension:September 3rd 1997
Recorded abilities: Invulnerability through environmental coincidences (See: Project Marzanna). Their recorded abilities have been documented to only function within an arbitrary distance of each other. Edit: Upon experimentation, this distance appears to be approximately 60 meters.
Ability Classification: Defence
Holistic Profession: Holistic Bodyguards
Project Cerberus>Profiles
SUBJECT 1
Name: Francine ‘Frankie’ Houndean (formerly Francine Howlet)
Age upon apprehension: 13 years
DOB: 30 June, 1984
Background: Following the untimely death of Ms Maria Houndean, Subjects 1, 2 and 3 were given to child services. Subject 1 was adopted at the age of 2 years old by the Howlet family. The Howlet family were nurturing and intelligent, and raised Subject 1 pragmatically [See Recording 4]. Lived at [REDACTED] with the Howlet family - until 7 years old when they moved to the [REDACTED] apartment building. There, she lived on the 6th floor, directly above Subject 2 (Floor 5) and Subject 3 (Floor 4). As neighbours, the three children soon met and became friends. At the age of 9 years, they realised they were sisters.
Abilities were demonstrated in late 1995, during a freak earthquake (See Project [REDACTED] for more information) when the lower floors collapsed into the garden area in which all three subjects were playing. When emergency services arrived, they found the three subjects huddled together, completely unharmed. Further investigation showed that the three girls had never suffered a physical injury since moving to the apartment building. Thus, investigation ensued.
Personality: From data collected from Recording 3 and 5, Subject 1 is very composed and polite. She is cautious (as shown by persistent requests for validation of particular lines of questioning) but not hostile. She is also intelligent - she is wise to manipulation and points it out subtly.
Points of weakness: Subject 1 has an extremely strong sense of responsibility for her sisters. Citing that she is the oldest of the three by ‘ten minutes’ (See Recording 7), she will do anything to protect her younger siblings.
Notes:
-an active girl, was the ace of the soccer team at her junior and middle school.
-outside of interviews, she is a very subdued girl. Refer to [Behavioural Psychologist’s Notes] for more information.
SUBJECT 2
Name: Nicole ‘Nicki’ Houndean (formerly Nicole Barkhurst)
Age upon apprehension: 13 years
DOB: 30 June, 1984
Background: Following the untimely death of Ms Maria Houndean, Subjects 1, 2 and 3 were given to child services. Subject 2 was adopted at the age of 3 years old by the Barkhurst family. The Barkhurst family were forgetful yet well-intentioned and rich. Lived in a private estate at [REDACTED] with the Barkhurst family until 7 years old when they moved to the [REDACTED] apartment building following a financial crisis. There, she lived on the 5th floor, directly below Subject 1 (Floor 6) and above Subject 3 (Floor 4).
[Further background is the same as Subject 1]
Personality: Subject 2 has been shown to be the most timid of the three by far. Her helpfulness borders on extreme naivete and is extremely empathetic (See Recordings 6-8). While her intelligence is certainly apparent, her lack of maturity hinders her critical thinking. Her sheltered lifestyle is apparent.
Points of weakness:Subject two is extremely naive and is liable to follow vague suggestions. She is the most appropriate of the three to act as a mediator between Blackwing and Project Cerberus.
Notes:
-she is inordinately protective of her younger sister, Subject 3. In contrast, she appears to be slightly intimidated by Subject 1.
SUBJECT 3
Name: Mabel Houndean (formerly Mabel Docker)
Age upon apprehension: 13 years
DOB: 30 June, 1984
Background: Following the untimely death of Ms Maria Houndean, Subjects 1, 2 and 3 were given to child services. Subject 3 was adopted at the age of 4 years old by the Docker family. The Docker family were private. Not much information about their living situation can be extracted - however, note that Mr Docker had recently been admitted into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting prior to apprehension. For further details on the family’s influence on Subject 3, see [Physical Examination Report]. Lived in at [REDACTED] suburb with the Docker family until 7 years old when they moved to the [REDACTED] apartment building following an influx of money into the Docker shared bank-account. There, she lived on the 4th floor, directly below Subject 1 (Floor 6) and Subject 2 (Floor 5).
[Further background is the same as Subject 1]
Personality: Subject 3 is openly hostile and pointedly aggressive to all employees. She is hot-headed and easily riled up, always defensive. Neither cold nor compassionate approaches yield positive results, in all situations, she is continuously suspicious. Mr Priest however, appears to coax a more promising attitude from her. It is advised to always have Mr Priest as a guiding presence, although one-on-one interaction is discouraged.
Points of weakness:Subject 3 appears to subscribe to the ‘strength in numbers’ policy. The threat of separating her from her sisters appears to curb her more aggressive tendencies. Therefore, utilise her family as a bargaining chip.
Notes:
-she dislikes dogs. She affirms this every time she is referred to by her project name.
-strangely, Subject 3 appears to be the leader of Project Cerberus, despite being the youngest and the shortest. Although Subjects 1 and 2 are protective and generally more collected, they tend to defer to her for orders.
>Project Cerberus
Projet Cerberus>Containment>Conditions
CONDITIONS
Initially, Project Cerberus was contained in a mutual space. However, due to their collective invulnerability, physical punishment was not effective. Therefore, all three subjects are now contained separately and are allowed a tri-weekly hour of interaction with each other (See [Behavioural Psychologist’s Notes] for justification). Despite such measures, security breaches still do occur. For example: Project Lamia cannot be effectively contained and has been documented as visiting other Projects. To combat this, station guards outside to interrupt any potential association.
Additionally, keep in mind that Supervisor Riggins is partial to patrolling the facility with Project Icarus. Interaction can only be allowed through mandated approval.

LISTEN ANON…. you wouldn’t believe how hard I worked on the last one for you. tbh, this kinda kicked my ass back into gear wrt the Valley and it helped me work out some things that I hadn’t previously considered, so thank you!
Some notes: the first one is pretty straight forward and goes with the prompt almost 100%. The second one isn’t canon to my novel, but involves Peyton’s Eustace (so it’s canon to the world? whatever. Hopefully that makes sense) and is suuuper early on in their relationship. Like, weeks in. The third one isn’t actually from the perspective of a historian, but is a government document regarding Harry and his family, and that DOES have very, very subtle spoilers regarding my story. >:3
Under the cut for length!
1. A LETTER TO YOUR OC FROM A COMPANION THEY HAVEN’T SEEN IN A WHILE
A crumpled,balled-up letter at the bottom of a rubbish bin. Hidden under several tissues,a cold and flu medicine pack, and a plastic sushi container.

2. A CONVERSATION BETWEEN YOUR OC AND THEIR BEST FRIEND:
“Hey.”…“Got yousomething.”…
“C’mon. It’schocolate pudding. Do you know how hard this was to get? I almost lost an armfor this. I promise you it’s not poisoned or anything—look, the can’s sealedshut. Probably has been for a… while. It should still be good, though.”…Heavy sigh. “Alright.I’ll leave this here, then. You’ll need a can-opener, too. Probably a spoon, when you feel like eating. I won’t watch you.”…“Thank you, Mr.Wolfman. You’re very kind, Mr. Wolfman. Oh, no issue– you’re welcome.”
3. A DESCRIPTION OF YOUR OC’S FAMILY BY AFUTURE HISTORIAN:
Office of the Director - August 01, 2018
Memorandum: AdministrationSubject: Project EVO, [REDACTED]
ID130618 was born September 05, 1993 toDelphine Campbell, née Leroux, and Robert Campbell.
Delphine Leroux, originally from Lyon,France, immigrated to Canada to study and work; she met Campbell duringuniversity and they married two years into their relationship. Leroux was alithe and tall woman with dark hair and blue eyes. She was often regarded as opinionated, demanding and ‘stuffy’ by her peers. At the time, Leroux was studying herBachelor of Medicine.
Robert Campbell was originally from Montreal,Canada. At the time of meeting Leroux, Campbell was a carpenter and had notcompleted any higher education. It is said he was ‘in awe of her fireypersonality’, and it was love at first sight. Robert is slightly shorter andheavier than Leroux and wears glasses for myopia; he has dark, curly hair andbrown eyes.
The Campbells’ threat to EVO is low;ID130618 left home shortly after his eighteenth birthday and rarely had contactwith his parents. They do not know where he lived, and they do not know what hedid for a living. There has been no contact with authorities of any kindregarding their son.
ID130618 also had a younger sister; SarahCampbell, born February 24, 1998. Sarah only recently moved to Toronto with herpartner and is similarly pursuing her Bachelor of Nursing. Sarah resembles hermother, though she’s shorter and has cut her hair short.
Sarah’s threat to EVO is high. Despite onlyoccasional contact, ID130618 recalled nothing but positive memories with hissister closer to the experiment’s beginning. [REDACTED] was assigned to her case;a month ago, Campbell hired a private investigator after police dismissed her.
Please refer to [REDACTED]’s recommendationsregarding termination for further information.

Fans Worry For Britney Spears’ Autonomy And Well-Being
By Abigail Morici, Rhodes College Class of 2021
July 30, 2020
Recently, Britney Spears fans have been spreading a “#FreeBritney” conspiracy campaign across online platforms. The hashtag originated in 2009 on a fan site, expressing concern over the restraints of Spears’s conservatorship, butin April, fans revived it, raising more concerns over the conservatorship as well as Spears’s well-being. [1] As of July 23, more than 230,000 fans have signed a petition against the conservatorship. [2]
A conservatorship is essentially a guardianship for a person who is ruled “incompetent by reason of a physical or mental infirmity or age.” [3] The conservator can care for the conservatee’s physical and mental well-being and/or their finances. [2] After Spears’s highly publicized mental breakdown in 2008, Jamie Spears, Spears’s father, was appointed her conservator over both her financial and personal lives. [2] Andrew Wallet, a lawyer, was appointed as another conservator for Spears. The court also appointed another to review the conservatorship to ensure that there was no abuse of power. [3]
Wallet, who “is credited with reinventing [Spears’s] career and getting her affairs back on track,” resigned in March 2019. [4] The resignation left Jamie Spears as sole conservator until he stepped down temporarily in September 2019 due to health issues. In the meantime, a professional conservator has been appointed, and in May, the conservatorship was extended to August 22. [2, 5]
The “#FreeBritney” movement claims that this conservatorship, which has lasted for twelve years, is against Spears’s wishes. According to this theory, Spears has been communicating through clues in song lyrics, music videos, social media posts, tour props, and photo shoots, that she is under distress. Because of these supposed clues, the conspiracy theorists have accused Spears’s father and lawyer of abusing theconservatorship, manipulating Spears, and depriving her of her autonomy. [2]
Fans have gone as far as to rally outside of court hearings with signs reading the hashtag. [6] In a Facebook post that has since been flagged as containing false information, Brandon Hase wrote, “So, when everyone sees her on Instagram walking up and down her hallways like it’s a fashion show. That’s all she is allowed to do. She has NEVER had control over her life. I don’t care if you personally like her or her music, NO ONE DESERVES THIS.”[7]
Nevertheless, the “#FreeBritney” campaign has been put under scrutiny for spreading false information.USA Today released a “fact check” on the issue—particularly as to why the conservatorship has lasted so long. “According to the file,” it reads,“Spears’ lawyer Samuel Ingham said she was not present at a September hearing because she ‘does not object’ [to the conservatorship].” [2]
Moreover, USA Today debunked claims of Jamie Spears taking financial advantage of the conservatorship by receiving a $100,000 salary for acting as conservator. As Los Angeles lawyer Troy Martin said to USA Today:
He has to file every year an accounting of all of her finances, and though some documents are redacted, they show that under his control her estate has gone up between $28 million and $47 million, which is substantial…It doesn't sound like a situation in which she is being taken advantage of. [2]
In June 2019, Jamie Spears sued Anthony Elia, who propagated “Free Britney” rumors on his “Absolute Britney” blog, for defamation. [8] By the end of the year, the court granted Spears’ father an injunction against the blogger. [9]
Spears’s brother Bryan said in an interview with As NOT Seen On TV Podcast that the conservatorship has “been a great thing for our family.” But he also admitted that Britney “always wanted to get out of it. It's very frustrating to have…Whether someone's coming in peace to help or coming in with an attitude, having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating. She's wanted to get out of it for quite some time.” [5]
Under California law,Spears reserves the right to petition the court to remove her conservator though a judge may ask the court investigator to evaluate the conservatee’s case and condition to ensure the right decision. [10] So far, there has been no official public record of Spears petitioning the court to do so, since the proceedings of her conservatorship have been relatively private. Even so, in California, “if the conservatee does not take direct action, the court will periodically send a person, called a court investigator, to see the conservatee, to inquire about his or her circumstances and desires, and to advise the conservatee of his or her rights.” [2]
As a conservatee, Spears also retains the right to take part in important decisions that affect her personal and financial lives as well as the right to ask questions and express concerns about these decisions. [11]“The conservatorship is not a jail,” Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph said in May 2019. “It helps Britney make business decisions and manage her life in ways she can’t do on her own right now.” [2]
At the same time, however, California courts do suggest alternatives to conservatorships in situations that depend on the person’s physical and mental health. These can include court authorization for medical treatment, informal personal care arrangements, power of attorney, and living trusts. [10] Still, the public does not fully know the situation of Britney Spears’ mental health, since she reserves the right to keep it private. As her sister Jamie Lynn wrote in an Instagram post:
If you deal with mental illness or care for someone dealing with mental illness, then you know how important it is to respect the situation with privacy for the person, and the family trying to protect their loved ones, no matter how it may appear to the public, and as the public we must learn to do the same. Trump Dossier – Multiple perspectives
Written By: Josiah Bynum and Savannah Brack
A dossier is best defined as a file containing specific details about a person, or the actions they partake in. This information is converted into documented and tracked paper records by an organization or an individual conducting research on the person of interest, contacting sources of information, and compiling a dossier. One of the most notorious examples is the Trump or Steele dossier, which has been a feature of the news media landscape for several years. This document has been utilized by organizations and institutions found in government and the private sector for a variety of different purposes. With so much national attention, one would imagine there is a level of agreement concerning what the dossier contains, who created it, how it has been used, and the political context surrounding it. However, making this assumption would be a mistake. Depending on the news organizations, the political pundits, or the political officials one listens to, a vastly different characterization begins to emerge.
Christopher Steele, an ex British intelligence officer, is the author of the dossier which was created during the second half of 2016. He was hired by Fusion GPS who was hired by attorney Marc Elias who was hired by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, all in order to provide opposition research on Trump. Steele was well positioned to accomplish this goal, as he had extensive experience dealing with Russian matters and he also had a number of contacts in Russia. Yglesias and Prokop from Vox sum up the contents of the Steele dossier with six allegations.
Trump has cooperated with Russian authorities for years.
There are conspiracy theories surrounding the idea that Trump was informed about his political opponents in exchange for Trump’s ‘team’ to provide the Kremlin intelligence on Russian oligarchs and their families for roughly eight years.
Trump is vulnerable to Russian blackmail on sexual matters.
Russia is claimed to have forms of “blackmail” in the sense that they have proof that Donald Trump hired prostitutes to “perform a ‘golden showers’ show in front of him,1” which he insisted on, due to him wanting to defile the bed that the prior president slept on. None of these stories have been proven to be true with any amount of legitimate evidence.
There was a “well-developed conspiracy of cooperation” between Trump and Russia.
Conspiracy theories are surrounded around the idea that Michael Cohen played a significant role in the management of the “Kremlin relationship.1”
Trump’s team knew and approved of Russian plans to deliver emails to WikiLeaks, and offered them policy concessions in exchange.
With Donald Trump having knowledge of the WikiLeaks, him and his team compromised with Russia, agreeing to sideline a Russian intervention in Ukraine and categorize it as a campaign issue.
Carter page played a key role in the conspiracy.
Carter Page, an “ethnic Russian associate” of Donald Trump’s, promoted the idea that the DNC emails to WikiLeaks should be revealed to the general public to swing supporters of Bernie Sanders away from Hillary Clinton. On that note, Page has denied all allegations regarding the matter and there is no indication that any of these statements have proven-merit.
Michael Cohen played a key role in the conspiracy.1
Cohen has committed illegal acts multiple times throughout the Kremlin matter. Many of his meetings with Russian officials surrounding Ukraine involved conversations about “coverup and damage limitation.1” In addition, Cohen has been accused of discussing how to make “deniable cash payments” to hackers working with the Kremlin, and also how to cover up these transactions.
Due to the serious nature of the allegations and Steele’s tireless work at promoting his conclusions to political and media insiders, the dossier has been a near constant in the news cycle, and has also played a role in investigations conducted by the highest law enforcement agencies in the United States. According to the Washington Times Mr. Steele met with a number of journalists at major media companies prior to the presidential election to brief them on his collusion allegations. More recently it has been reported Steele also “adopted a postelection strategy to damage or perhaps stop the Trump presidency.2” Part of this effort included Mr. Steele working with Senator John McCain’s aide, David Kramer.2 In a deposition Kramer told investigators the founder of Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, thought the FBI would take the document more seriously if it was provided by the Senator’s office, as opposed to Fusion GPS.3
One major point of contention surrounding the dossier is the role it played in the genesis of the investigation into whether Trump colluded with the Russian government to win the 2016 election. It is clear the dossier was submitted as part of an application to the FISA court seeking a warrant to surveil Trump advisor Carter Page. John Solomon, an opinion contributor at The Hill, believes the FBI knew Christopher Steele was working for the Clinton campaign through Fusion GPS and that he was desperate to keep Trump from being elected. Yet the FBI failed to divulge this information to the FISA court judge. In the application the FBI referred to Steele as a “reliable source in past criminal investigations who was hired by a person working for a U.S. law firm to conduct research on Trump and Russia.4” If this warrant was the beginning of the investigation, many would argue it was based on a lie and has no credibility. Ken Dilanian, at NBC, and many others argue the FISA warrant was not the beginning of the investigation. Instead it was months earlier when the FBI learned George Papadopoulos, a campaign aide, had been approached by Russians seeking to share information about Hillary Clinton.5 Also, the FISA application includes many pages that are completely redacted. Representative Adam Schiff has said publicly these pages contain secret information establishing ties between Page and Russians that goes beyond information included in the dossier.
In the end, the proponents of each argument surrounding the dossier and the FISA court have lost a sense of urgency. The conclusions of the Mueller report were recently released, and it was found that Trump did not collude with the Russians. None of the people Trump had working for him, including Carter Page, were charged with any crimes connected to colluding with Russia. The debate may not be as heated as it was the last several years, but it seems there are a few more questions worth looking into. Regardless of when the investigation started, why was it so easy to start? Is there some way to ensure the American people this was a good faith investigation and not politically motivated? For years journalist and elected politicians have been making unverified claims concerning our president. And strangely, the claims always seem to help them politically. The end result is a 300+ page document, which could be considered the most expensive and exhaustive piece of opposition research ever created.6 In a way the public unknowingly paid for the creation of this document, and I imagine it will be used for political purposes for years to come. The cost was not only monetary; people on both sides of the investigation have had their lives ruined, and several government agencies have lost credibility and trust with segments of the population.

New story in Politics from Time: House Democrats Are Getting Ready for a Legal Showdown With the Trump Administration
Congressional Democrats are moving forward with investigations into Russian meddling and President Donald Trump’s family, setting the stage for a major legal fight with the Administration.
The House Oversight and Judiciary committees — two of the most powerful — announced Monday that they are preparing subpoenas on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian collusion in the 2016 election and security clearance probes that implicate the president’s family.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler, who chairs the Judiciary committee, said Monday that his committee would mark up a subpoena on April 3 to obtain the full Mueller report. Nadler, along with five chairs of other committees, sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr last week demanding they see the full report by Tuesday, April 2. While Barr said he was working to make the report public as soon as possible, he speculated that would not happen until at least mid-April, past the Democrats’ deadline. (A short summary of the report written by Barr has been made public, but the full report remains private.)
“Attorney General Barr has thus far indicated he will not meet the April 2 deadline set by myself and five other Committee chairs, and refused to work with us to provide the full report, without redactions, to Congress,” Nadler said in a statement Monday. “The Attorney General should reconsider so that we can work together to ensure the maximum transparency of this important report to both Congress and the American people.”
Nadler also said his committee would vote to authorize subpoenas for Don McGahn, former White House Counsel; Steve Bannon, former White House Chief Strategist; Hope Hicks, former White House communications director; Reince Priebus, former White House chief of staff; and Ann Donaldson, former White House deputy counsel. The committee had sent request for documents to all five last month when it opened its investigation into abuse of power. But Nadler said Monday that they – or their attorneys – all could have received documents from the White House relating to probes from both his committee and Mueller, invalidating any claims of privilege to waive compliance.
Nadler said he would not officially issue the subpoenas if all the documents were produced. He also did not set a timeline for sending the subpoena for the Mueller report to the Department of Justice.
Less than an hour after Nadler announced his plans, Rep. Elijah Cummings, who chairs the House Oversight committee, released a letter to White House Counsel Pat Cipollone that the committee is set to officially authorize a subpoena on April 2 to depose Carl Kline, who was the personnel security director at the White House for the first two years of the Trump Administration. Cummings said that Kline, who now works at the Department of Defense, has ignored all of the committee’s previous document requests. NBC News reported in January that Kline authorized Kushner’s security clearance over objections from other staffers.
“The Committee will depose Mr. Kline about the security clearance practices in place when he was at the White House, the treatment of specific security clearance adjudications during his tenure, and his interactions with the whistleblower,” Cummings wrote to Cipollone.
The whistleblower who came forward to the committee publicly identified herself as Tricia Newbold, an adjudications manager in the Personnel Security Office. According to NBC News, Newbold, who worked with Kline at the White House, had previously filed a complaint against him with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, alleging that he discriminated against her height by placing security files too high for her to reach. NBC News also cited a letter from Newbold to her family in which she stated part of her grievances against Kline stem from his security clearance judgements.
Newbold, who was interviewed by the Oversight committee on March 23, said other White House staffers have retaliated against her for voicing concerns, and that she was suspended without pay in January for 14 days because she would not follow the Administration’s protocols. “I’m terrified of going back. I know that this will not be perceived in favor of my intentions, which is to bring back the integrity of the office,” she told the committee.
According to a transcript released by the committee, Newbold said she had denied security clearances for multiple Trump Administration staffers, only to have those decisions overturned by more senior officials such as Kline. In 2018, she told the committee, she made a list of these staffers. The list included 25 people in total, including two current senior White House officials. Newbold said the office had recommended some White House officials not be granted clearances in part because of concerns about foreign influence.
The White House officials in question were not named in the transcript released by the committee. But the situation Newbold describes closely hews to January’s NBC News report about Kushner.
The committee launched an investigation in January into the White House’s security clearance processes, shortly after Cummings became chairman. In explaining the investigation, Cummings described how both Kushner and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn were able to obtain clearances, despite the fact that both men failed to disclose their contacts with Russian officials.
Cummings released a letter from Cipollone last month showing that the White House was unwilling to cooperate with the probe. Cipollone described the committee’s requests as “unprecedented and extraordinarily intrusive.”
While Cummings sent Cipollone a list of other witnesses the committee is seeking to interview, Kline is the only person for whom they will authorize a subpoena at the moment.
“I hope the White House will begin cooperating voluntarily with these requests and that additional subpoenas will not be necessary,” Cummings wrote, adding that interviews may not be necessary if the White House produces the previously requested documents. He gave the White House four days to deliver a response.
