I’m entering a “throw anything and everything” at the paper stage. You know it’s getting crazy when you start breaking out the crayons and glow-in-the-dark mod podge for a sketchbook drawing.

Huge respect to the people who can let their layers completely dry before continuing painting. I admire your patience. I sure do wish I had it.
#i would chalk it up to the fact im using gouache with water so its a rather slow time#but i do this with acrylic too soooo#and marker. which is almost impressive considering how quick thst dry time is#not art#art complaints#painting

I think the ink from the marker would just kinda. Disappear. Like once his body changes it just vanishes.
Though it does depend on what you do I suppose. Cause it works for drawing too, so if you draw a mouth on him it will literally turn into a mouth, so in that case it technically stays, but it stops being marker and just becomes a real mouth.
reblog to meow at the person you reblogged from
#I've actually never considered if it would work with anything other than marker. it works with any color of marker#but i haven't thought about other art mediums like paint or pencil or chalk and such#i will say that this is a very loose concept and i kinda flex it a fair bit to suit what i need. it's rather self indulgent...#it's a fun tf trigger and i am very fond of tf >w<

I forgot to tell this before but what if Bruce has redecorated many of the countless rooms in the manor to adjust to whatever thing his kids like
Dick got a training room for gyminastics, there are bars hanging from the roof, equipment Bruce doesn't even know what's for but that it surely entretains his son and the floor was totally replaced by mats
Jason? "Casually" his room has a secret room attached to it that you can only enter trhu a secret door behind a bookshelf in his bedroom, and "just by chance" it's also another library, that has "secret and censored" books for being controversial in their time, it also just happens to have a skylight and one of those one-way windows
Tim? Bruce made him a dark room, of course he did, that's attached to another room, the light is bare there, and it has two boards, one where you can use magnets and a marker and one for the old red string and tack's
Cass? A whole dance studio that she didn't ask for (none of them did, really) but she appreciates it, mostly because she can use it whenever she feels like it, even the middle of the night because its sound proof
Steph? Unnecesary, she appropiated one herself, later Bruce gave her money to do it whatever she felt like
Damian? One for him to paint, and it's clear he likes it because it's messy, Damian's own room isn't, but his one? Even the big window that lights the room is covered in paint and chalk here and there, the supplies might be ordered by color and size, but not a single one is ever totally cleaned
Duke was told he could choose but if it takes too long Bruce is choosing for him

Super easy and cheap devotional acts for beginners.
A nice cup and some clean, fresh, water on the altar can often be all you need for daily offerings
Grow a plant on your altar, use your weekly watering as a devotional act. Hermes is currently helping my peace lily grow :)
Draw their sigil on your nails and then paint over them with nail polish that matches their color correspondences.
If you can’t acquire alcohol for your deities (wine, vodka etc) because you’re too young, white vinegar also works. The quality we’re looking for is the purification aspect. White vinegar is natural, antibacterial and never goes bad. You can leave it on your altar until it evaporates if you want.
If you work with a deity involved with self love like Aphrodite, investing a little more time into your skin care and scent can be very rewarding. Nothing super boujie, it can be as simple as getting some nice smelling lotion at the dollar store.
Food and water offerings don’t have to be external, especially if you’re in the broom closet and don’t have an altar. Reserve the first bite of your meal for your deity. Savour its taste while you think about them. Pour yourself a crisp glass of cold water and guzzle it as a devotional act.
Use a washable or dry erase marker to draw sigils on your shower wall for bath rituals. It’ll come right off when you’re done.
Tea bags are just bags of dried herbs. You can use these as offerings or draw sigils on them and burn them for witchcraft. No one is ever suspicious about a little tea. Adding a tea bag to your water offerings also gives them an extra kick.
A couple dollars at the thrift store will take you a long way. I love thrifting items because they’re usually well loved. I especially like thrifting spirituality books that past practitioners have written in. Sometimes my deities communicate with me through the books that are available on any given day. If I was just talking to Leviathan about the power of water and I see a book about Hydromancy, I know that he’s sending me a sign. Like, 90% of the books Lucifer has sent me popped up at the thrift store. Most expensive one was $7.99. (and I tag swapped it for 2.99 😊 thanks, Hermes-
and on this note, literally steal. Not from small local thrift stores, but I mean this with my whole chest, steal from Value Village. If you can sneakily swap a tag and get something for cheaper literally do it. Value Village gets all their inventory for free I literally do not care. Corporate thrift stores don’t deserve rights. I steal from Value Village as a devotional act to Hermes 😊 lmao )
If you don’t have money to spend on really nice paintings and posters of your deities for your altar, start buying books about them. It’s a double win. A book about Greek religion will certainly have multiple beautiful sculptures and paintings of Aphrodite that I can cut out and put on my wall. A book about angels might have a cool painting of Lucifer. Books about Goddesses, ancient religions, anthropology, astrology etc. You get the opportunity to learn, and if it’s a book you don’t particularly care too much for, you can take it apart for imagery. People ask me all the time where I got all of my paintings and pictures from. BOOKS.
Does your deity have a kind of complicated sigil that you love but you also kinda hate redrawing every other day? Sorry Cerberus (Naberius) I love you but that sigil is so complicated babe.
Learn how to block print! It’s very simple. You get a block of linoleum (usually pretty cheap, I think mine were like $5) , some ink (~$10), and a carving tool (varies depending), and make a sigil stamp! All you gotta do is draw your sigil and carve it out nicely one time. You can still bless it and imbue it with your energy, and you can easily put it on prayers, talismans etc.
Chalk is your best friend. Use it to draw sigils on the floor or wall that can easily be wiped away. You can imbue special chalk and use it for casting circles if you don’t like the mess of salt.

Understanding the 3 Types of Sigils
Sigils are one of the most versatile tools in witchcraft, acting as symbols infused with your intention and energy. What makes sigils so effective is their adaptability, you can choose how to work with them based on your goals and needs. When deciding how to use a sigil, it’s helpful to understand the three main types: destructible, temporary, and permanent. Each type serves a unique purpose and adds a layer of magickal flexibility to your practice.
Destructible Sigils 🕯
Definition: These sigils are created with the intention of being destroyed, often as part of the activation process.
Purpose: Used for immediate, transformative, or highly specific goals. The act of destruction releases the energy.
Examples of Use:
⟡ Burn a sigil for quick manifestation.
⟡ Bury a sigil to symbolize letting go of something.
How-To: Draw the sigil on paper, charge it with your intent, and destroy it by burning, tearing, or submerging it in water.
Tip: This method is great for goals where you want to release energy into the universe quickly.
Temporary Sigils ✿
Definition: These sigils exist for a short time and are erased, washed away, or allowed to fade naturally.
Purpose: Ideal for ongoing but temporary needs, like a daily boost of confidence or protection during a specific event.
Examples of Use:
⟡ Draw a sigil on your skin with makeup or henna.
⟡ Sketch a sigil in sand or dirt before a ritual.
⟡ Write a sigil in chalk on your door for short-term protection.
How-To: Use materials that naturally wear off (chalk, marker, or skin-safe paint). Focus on charging the sigil when you draw it.
Tip: These sigils are perfect for quick and discreet magick, as they’re easy to create and remove.
Permanent Sigils 𓃠
Definition: These sigils are created with the intention of lasting indefinitely. They are charged to continuously radiate energy over time.
Purpose: Used for long-term goals or intentions, such as protection, abundance, or anchoring a space with positive energy.
Examples of Use:
⟡ Draw a sigil onto a piece of jewelry or altar tool.
⟡ Paint or carve a sigil on a doorframe for home protection.
How-To: Choose a durable medium (wood, stone, metal) Ensure the sigil is charged and activated with care.
Tip: Permanent sigils require deep thought and a strong intention, as their energy is meant to be constant and enduring.
⛥ No matter which type of sigil you choose, remember that their power comes from the energy and intention you infuse into them. Whether you’re releasing energy through destruction, working with short-term goals, or embedding your magick into something permanent, sigils can adapt to your needs and bring your intentions to life. ⛥

2024.03 wow, 3rd chalkboard this month. weekly specials side of the chalkboard got a makeover. I can tell the areas where I lost some steam and accepted the "mistakes" and left them. "good is good enough" and I know how to look out for those things beforehand, next time. I'm thankful to have an outlet to do this on a regular basis.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
I remember when I first read the book during the pandemic and I ate up all three books within one week - what can I say I'm a sucker for crime stories.
Knowing that a series will be released soon on BBC and Netflix, I had to do a rebind of the first book!
I decided not to include the title on the front cover because I feel like the body cutout leaves a good impression already.
About the rebind: ✦ first time working with linen book cloth, I'm loving it so far ✦ cut out is supposed to represent the shape of a body outlines with chalk, and I added red HTV for the pool of blood ✦The pins were painted with acrylic because the shop didn't sell red pins, only wooden ones! I pulled out the needle and used superglue to glue it onto the cover ✦ endpaper inside features eyes staring at you. The eyes on the cover I freestyled it with a POSCA marker

here's some punk diy tips and ideas
[other than crusty pants and battle jacket, although we still love those greatly.]
why should you diy, when you can just find decorated items everywhere, you can ask. what if you are clumsy at painting or anything?
firstly, good questions. we diy so we don't give credit to the big companies who rule the world. we diy to get more independent from the system we dislike. we diy so to save money. to express uniqueness, recognize eachother and be recognized. and especially to have fun and feel cool. diy is not only about clothing, but anything you can set your mind on. of course, one cannot make EVERYTHING for themselves, there isn't enough time and energy. but making at least small steps are already a statement and more than nothing. also, helping small artists by buying their products is also pretty punk.
that being said, i provide you with some tips of mine, all gained from experience:
anything you drew/painted on, you will WANT TO protect. acrylic paint/markers + acrylic paint varnish/transparent nail polish/textile medium are your best friends. read after anything that's new to you.
i highly recommend working with old clothing or thrift shop finds when it comes to textiles, as it is environmentally friendly and you will stay in budget. Anyways, always make sure that the material you use isn't gonna be problematic. for example, if you want to do some patchwork, the material shouldn't decay easily (if it does, it will come off so quickly.). if you want to paint on it, it shouldn't be rugged.
you can not only draw/paint on your canvas shoes, but can also sew, embroidery (just make sure to use a thimble, plus floss instead of thread could make your work more durable), and add beads and trinkets to your shoelaces. in the case of shoes, never use glue (neither hot nor instant glue) – it will come off quickly. for some inspiration, i'll show you my shoes!
(the fake moss is literally unstoppable from falling off or getting dirty. risky idea.)
it's good to carry around water and food!! you don't even have to pay for decorative water bottles and food boxes, as you can draw on glass and plastic just fine with acrylic markers. just don't forget to paint transparent nail polish all over your drawing. in at least two layers. don't be lazy or laid-back. even posca comes off while washing the dishes. and you WANT TO save your reference pictures/final designs, as the case of emergency is likely. but after all, my water bottle is exactly fine after six months, with no accuring problem.
if your current best option to get stickers from is aliexpress or overpriced decor stores, search for local artists and shops on instagram and tiktok, as it may be their most efficent way of getting you to know them. if it seems like you have no chance, you may can still find a print shop with the option of printing on self-adhesive sheets (at least in hungary, those are pretty cheap). and if you want drawings to print out as stickers, you may use your own or –ONLY IF YOU GET PERMISSION– other artist's work. not only good for decorations for like, headphones, but for vandalism too. WAIT WAIT who said that. who said it. not me. no never
(in case that's also impossible, you can create stickers by printing out/drawing a picture, cover it up in transparent adhesive tape, and then put some two-sided adhesive tape on the white side of the pic. it won't be that durable, but it functions.)
if you want to bleach-paint clothing, get some plastic brushes!! any other brush dissolves. draw your design first with chalk!! never forget to put cardboard inside the clothing, and to wash the finished work in a washing machine before you'd put it on. prepare to be patient with the process. and it's not dangerous to touch 5%-9% household bleach, just wash your hands soon after.
if you want your crusty pants to last veryyy long, wax them. look up on youtube jeans waxing.
some more things i made for myself so to give you some inspiration: totebag with pockets, a small crystal holder cabinet, badges, and i decorated some t-shirts, button-ups, an id card case, phonecase, laptop.
theoretically speaking, there is nothing that an individual would be unable to learn how to make, when it comes to diy. you can't imagine how easy it is to bake bread at home. consuming-focused media makes people believe that it's hard to make anything. of course, everyone has to decide about their own priorities, i don't want to convince or change anyone in here. and if you have any questions, send an ask!! i hope i had been helpful.

Hey love your baby Leclerc serie i have maybe a idea for the serie
Maybe where yn gets her hair dyed and ruby wants also her hair dyed maybe 2 locks of her hair and when they got home ruby is like daddy look my hair
little miss rainbow hair | charles leclerc
changed it just a little bit here it is :)
Y/n wanted a change. At first she wasn’t sure if that change meant getting a tattoo or dyeing her hair. She then realized that she wasn’t ready for a tattoo yet so a trip to Pascale’s hair salon was on the top of her to do list. When she arrived to the salon, some of the nice older women said hello to Ruby and Y/n since they visited Pascale many times. Y/n greeted her mother in law and talked to her about having a change in her hair.
“Hi! Hi! Hi!” Ruby greeted each women as she passed them by. When she got to a woman who she remembered had brown hair, she gasped since the woman now had red hair. “Your hair! It’s red!” Ruby excitedly told the woman, whose name was Maria.
Maria chuckled. “It is. My favorite color is red so I decided to change it.”
“It’s pretty. I want to paint my hair rainbow colored, but papa says I can’t because I’m too little but when I grow up this big,” she showed her desired height with her hands. “I’m going to paint my hair rainbow.”
“And you’re going to look so beautiful!” Maria said.
“Does painting your hair hurt? Do you miss your brown hair? What if you want a different color?” The little girl continued with her questions. Maria laughed, she didn’t mind answering any question that Ruby had.
After talking with Pascale, Y/n decided that cutting and dyeing her hair was her desired style. “Ruby, come here for a minute.” Y/n told her daughter.
Ruby skipped towards her mother, who was seated in the stylist chair. “Are you painting your hair too? Paint it red!”
“I am painting my hair but it’s not going to be red, babe. Maman’s hair is going to be (whatever color you want). And I’m going to cut it just a little. What do you think? Is papa going to like maman’s hair?” Y/n asked.
“He’s going to love it!” The girl said rather aggressively. She then saw bottles of hair dye on the counter and ran towards them. She saw the color red and immediately grabbed it and ran to Pascale. “Can you paint my hair, grand-mère? Please!”
Pascale took the bottle away from the girl and placed it on a shelf. “This isn’t meant for little girls, amour, sorry.”
“So I have to wait a hundred years? That’s so long!” Ruby whined.
“You don’t have to wait a hundred years, that’s silly. Maybe when you’re fifteen, your papa and maman can let you dye your hair.” Pascale replied.
“Die? I don’t want to die.” Ruby’s eyes widened.
“D-y-e. Dye. The bottle you had is hair dye and what I’m going to put on your maman’s hair is hair dye. Basically paint for your hair. It comes in all colors for all types of hair.” Pascale explained as she walked with the girl to where Y/n was.
“Oh. Well . . . Maman, can I dye my hair?” Ruby asked innocently.
“When you’re older you most certainly can, Ruby Jules,” Y/n replied as Pascale began to wet Y/n’s hair. “And don’t get any ideas about painting your hair with actual paint or markers. It’s not good for your hair.”
“But I want rainbow hair.” She said defeated.
Suddenly Maria walked up to the Leclerc family. “Sorry, I heard little Ruby wanted to ‘paint’ her hair and obviously hair dye isn’t for you yet. My daughters always ask me to dye their hair so I bought this,” Maria gave Y/n a little bag with colored containers. “They’re called color chalk. It’s a fun way for kids to color their hair in a safe way. It lasts long which surprised me but if you want you can keep those for Ruby. I have more in house. My daughters love them so much, I have plenty.”
Ruby then looked at her maman with a little smirk. “Rainbow hair.” She whispered.
“You win, you little rascal.” Y/n sighed.
When Charles got home, he didn’t expect both of his girls to be sporting new hair looks. He first saw Y/n’s hair and immediately loved it. He couldn’t keep his hands off her hair. He loved to run his fingers through it. As he was about to give her another compliment, Ruby walked into the living room with rainbow colored hair.
“Who are you and what have you done with my daughter?” Charles asked.
“It’s me, papa! It’s Ruby, but with rainbow hair.” She flipped her hair and walked to sit beside him.
“Okay, Ruby but with rainbow hair, I hope that comes off because you have school pictures in a month.” Charles informed her.
“Maria said it lasts long so I guess little miss rainbow hair is going to be colorful for her school pictures.” Y/n smiled at her daughter.
“I’m so much cooler than you, papa. I have rainbow hair and you don’t.” Ruby teased.
“Y/n, get me the scissors.”
