I head canon that Wukong first obtained immortality when he was younger than the Destined one, therefore he looks much younger more round y'know? While the destined one seems a lil rough around the edges, he's still young but the tough life in the mountain plus all the stress from the journey left him a little... Meh you know?

Main differences: Wukong's hair is lighter, and longer while DO's is shorter and points up :3, also his chest is more exposed, while Wukong's is hairier~

I refuse to believe that Sun Wukong is a great drinker. that monkey is a goddman lightweigt. He refuses to admit that, but after three rounds he is completely wasted.

Probably the annoying clingy drunk kinda monkey too ugh. Oz doesn't get drunk, so she's usually on the receiving end of any drunk monkey shenanigans.

One time Sun Wukong insisted that he can drink her under the table. he didn't, his ego is bruised so he showed up one night already tipsy at her door with a jar of wine, demanding rematch

Since you seem to have access to the BMW game files I'm curious - do we know how long the DO spent journeying to get swk 6 relics? And do we know how many DO's there were before him? What "number" is he? And if the game doesn't say, can you take a stab at it and guess? (Sorry if this has been asked before and thanks).

We don't really have any answers to those questions.

Knowing that in the original JTTW it took them 16 years to reach India to retrieve the scriptures, I would not be surprised if DO's journey also took years to complete.

We also don't have an exact number of how many previous DO's tried, and it's really hard to gauge a number.

We know that other monkeys on Mount Huaguo have journeyed out too, as we see in the prologue when the Old Monkey tells his story and there are other monkeys carrying a willow staff in the background. I don't think the game devs intend to ever put an exact number either - when we die, some enemies say "countless other's have tried before you" or "another monkey/another one?".

And we also know one of them was married / set to get married to the 4th spider sister. In one of the dowry treasures, we get a gourd that is great against burn damage for the next chapter - implying the 4th spider sister knew where her monkey was going next, or that countless others have passed by since then and she knows their path so she has it prepared for them.

I think it would be interesting to know how much time has passed between SWK's death and the DO reaching the true ending.
