what are your hcs on the favourite dishes of each hetalia characters?
I'm gonna stick to canon for Alfred, Arthur and Mattie - hamburgers, fish and chips and anything with maple syrup for them all respectively. I forever think about this roast duck I had once in the south of France and how transcendental it was so sure why not a godly roast duck aubergine and peppers for Francis. Haggis is equally good (okay no it's not that duck truly was phenomenal) BUT.
A stuffed haggis. Totally. Everytime Alfred visits he looks at it above the fireplace and goes 'But I thought...' and Arthur shushes him. He's Scotland's wee pal. Who he likes to eat. :|
Wales makes a mean bara brith which you need a pint of tea to help swallow it down but it's so good.
When North is feeling down (hungover) he makes a mean full fry up that everyone argues about the finer details of its contents (it should have haggis it should have potatoes it should have black pudding etc. etc.). Ireland it's a good old stew. Comfort food at its finest. He also does the best shepherd's pie of the bunch, but Arthur's cottage pie is better (fight!).
Oz in his native habitat is on a beach. With a grill. Cooking anything he can get his mitts on. Zee it's pavlova. They and Oz still get into almighty rows about who actually invented it.
Germany loves sauerkraut. Hates turnips. Italy.... I mean.... you know what the answer is... right?
