McLaren fucked it up today, there’s no doubt about that. To give the driver in p2 preferential stops and then act shocked that the undercut that almost always works, worked, is insane. And with such an insane strategy blunder, they put themselves in a lose lose situation.

Oscars say back whilst Lando gets the preferred strategy on multiple occasions and never pushed it or questioned it. Maybe he would’ve asked to swap places back had McLaren never mentioned it, but it would seem out of character.

Let Lando win the race and they’d have tons of people calling them out for blatant favouritism and saying they robbed Oscar of his first win. Let Oscar win and you’ve got the current situation.

Oscar has shown immense consistency and incredible performance for a driver who’s only in his second season, the fact he is that close to Lando and is capable of winning races is a testament to his skill and talent. Don’t let McLaren’s mistakes distract from the incredible driving we witnessed from both of them today. Both drivers are Grand Prix winners, both drivers are capable of maximising points and if they continue like this there’s a genuine shot at the constructors, but maximising points relies on both drivers trusting each other and trusting the team around them.

McLaren fucked up, don’t use that to take away from the drivers.

Kurogiri used to take walks with Tomura when he was young because he heard about the times Tomura would get ganged up on and he didn’t want AFO’s successor to accidentally die in a gang fight (by which I mean he’s a worried dad who doesn’t want his baby to get covered in more boo-boos than necessary). He made these guardian-ward strolls a “once a week” sort of thing, where they would run an errand or two so Tomura could experience better parts of the city and eventually visit a park to wind down if they neede a break from human interaction.

As he got older, Tomura could take walks whenever he wanted, now knowing locations that weren’t shady back alleys and were actually safer routes so he wouldn’t get dragged into a scene. Even so, he’d always let Kurogiri tag along on Sundays (as long as they get to stop for junk food… ok fine we can go to that park afterwards but the birds better not steal my chips).

Uh...am I supposed to have one of those? There's several useful flowers within Elder Tale. The most useful of those is also the rarest, the Dewdrop Lily of the Valley. It can be used in all sorts of legendary grade potions, and it's difficult to acquire. I don't know if anyone has acquired one since we came to this world. It would certainly be possible by high level Adventurers now that we're used to this world, but still arduous. And while it's very high grade, it's so much so the case that the average person is unlikely to need it.

It's...also...pretty? I guess? I've never given this much thought.

Hate that I have to brace myself whenever I want to venture into the tag. Logically I know that a wall of silence + just blocking is absolutely the only correct response, because the fact that they've explicitly put their hate into the ship tag is all the reason not to feed the trolls, and I do do that,

It's just. So frequent and sustained.

I see one, I block one, yet I feel like I've been blocking at least one hostile intruder into the tag every week at a minimum? Rinse and repeat since late 2023.

And these remarks always manage to hit a bizarre note of sanctimonious insult that exposes a hilariously deep insecurity that other people dare to prefer something else.

I'm so. Tired. Even though I never respond and block them immediately, I've still been forced to see it, and I'm sick of putting up with this when simply trying to seek out a thing that brings me joy.

Saw a comment today about private QRTs on their hatepost and they were like oooo they're biiig mad in private—I don't know how to tell you this but it's your own people QRTing it in agreement. Those private QRTs are your supporters. The people on this side block and ignore, block and ignore, nobody would follow you and give you further attention, and nobody is discussing you in big mad mode because it's literally banned in our server, it's so taboo people don't even acknowledge the existence of the consistent hate directed our way or the single invariable shared characteristic of the haters, it's so prohibited to refer to it that we have to feel sad by ourselves instead of relying on fellow fans.
