short hair for Endou all the way!! I've never really vibed with long hair for any version of Endou, and even more when I cut my own hair short and got some first-hand experience on how much easier and faster it is to maintain! especially when I see Endou being all whatever about styling it, so as long as it doesn't get in the way and doesn't take ages to get dry after showering, she's good!

for Kidou I'd say maybe locks or braids? she definitely dedicates more time for her hair, but it still needs to be easily handled. (though I don't know enough hair stuff to go deeper into that!)

finished mansfield park today

it might be my new favorite Austen novel? and there will be no Fanny Price slander in this house, not unless you've accounted for her being the adult child of an emotionally immature parents and uncle and aunts. she is surviving. surviving with no power, when she does share an opinion it often has no influence to change the minds or actions of people around her, and so she takes control of the one thing she can - herself. she sets the one and only boundary she actually has available to her, and sticks by it when everyone (even edmund!) gaslights her into thinking she's wrong. she appears the weakest outwardly but in terms of her confidence to trust herself she is the strongest character i have read in a very long time

and that has stuck a chord with me.

and i don't want to hear it about mary crawford, she's not evil but she clearly does not care about consequences of her actions. she, like most of these characters, is clearly a very charming and pretty narcissist. i feel like "personality does not equal goodness" was one of the main points of the book so like how are people saying she should have been the protagonist???

You know you don't need to ask permission for how you're allowed to draw things how you want, right? I get that some people have boundaries with their own OCs, but especially with my characters you can draw what you want forever and you don't need to ask if something is allowed or not.

Don't seek validation, seek doing for you what is fun, without constraint. Please.

As for how I feel about it: Happy. It's art. I like when people draw art and express themselves.
