⚠️Imaginary scenario warning⚠️

The more he recovers from his surgery, the more it becomes clear he has 99 mental illnesses.

At the beginning, he is very sleepy all the time since recovery exhaustes him. So he dreams a lot, and the dreams get weirder and weirder. They eventually became nightmares (for example : him getting stab in the heart, his legs breaking under his own weight, etc).

Then he gains back health, and energy comes back. In fact, he never had that much energy since years. That makes him wanna test his new limits but it freaks out his mom.

The procedure turns out to be a success, but she doesn't want the doctors to tell him right away because he will immediatly try to play hardcore sakka again, as if he just didn't got off of several months of wheelchair.

Unmei eventually discovers his mom hides this from him and immediatly jumps to the worst conclusion possible about her. Not only he has severe trust issues with himself (because of his hallucinations), but now he distrusts his mom ?????

His hallucinations are not about Haru anymore : now he sees Kageyama (he has no idea who Kageyama is, but mind eater subplot immaright).

oh no the nightmares </3 the beginning of his recovery surely is very exhausting, his body working overtime on days and his mind at nights. though I can see him being intrigued by them, dissecting even the cruelest ones to bits to his friends' confusion. (why is he so fascinated at what points did his legs break in a dream??)

I gotta admit, I've grown too attached to Mamanami that I don't want Unmei to fully lose his trust with her.. but it could be a short rough time, but Unmei does understand her point of view, maybe after a close call when he's getting too reckless with his still recovering body?

and Kageyama? freaking Kageyama. I wouldn't even be mad if he was actually in the VR storyline, that guy is like a cockroach (and Unmei would eventually find out)

i am going to annoy you again with fake scenarios in my head 💔 (thank u again for the last one)

Just imagined 2 outcomes to the 10% survival rate procedure : after the "break-up" that didn't happen, Unmei and his mom fly to Ireland to get the procedure done

Good ending : Unmei survived (yeah)

And now he is glad Sakurazaki rejected the break up because he phones him, has to make up some bs excuses, and say "...can you come please?". Sakurazaki is not having his bs, so ofc he comes...with the rest of the team (chaos). Now, Unmei is temporarily on a wheelchair, has 172937292 machines branched to him to monitor his heart, a breathing machine at night during his sleep, and an uglyass bang. 7th grade is his recovery era.

2. Bad ending : RIP Unmei

Sakurazaki is getting a secondhanded message to inform him that. He doesn't take it well, nor does the rest of the team. The school is kinda indifferent. Sakurazaki's dad learn the grieving situation and remembers he is supposed to be a dad. The coach/math teacher turned the soccer club into the group therapy club for the entire year (chaos).

just gonna ramble my thoughts and stuff

1st ending

I can totally see Sakurazaki going to see Unmei even before he asks, just learning about the success of the operation gets him moving asap. the whole team going would be so! wholesome! but sadly I am too adult to not think about 10+ teens together first time on an intercontinental flight and the cost of it...... so Sakurazaki is going but he's kinda (a lot) nervous about the flight so he gets Kisoji to come too by paying his travel costs (like Kisoji wasn't trying to come too either way) (Sakurazaki gets the money from his father, in a way or another)

Unmei stuck with a pile of machines is such a hard but hopeful scene... but he recovers slowly and is able to return home, and yeah life and school is struggle for a while but he got a gang of friends to support him!! (I melt into a puddle imagining this)

2nd ending

I like to think that when he doesn't get any kind of message soon during the day or the next from the operation, he kinda knows... others try to stay positive, but Sakurazaki's not really able to do that.

Unmei's mom eventually returns alone and he goes to see her a lot (I am refusing to let go of the headcanon they get familiar with each other) and tries to help her grieve too, and even though no one from the club had known Unmei for that long, he left such an impact that the club is in shambles. eventually it eases and they get back on their feet and back on the game when hey find a new resolve to aim for the top for Unmei's sake.

They play against Hokuyou, and Soramiya comes to ask where Unmei is. He doesn't take the news well. (idk what their relationship is at the beginning of & later in the game but hush it's more dramatic this way)

Haru visits the school later, to pay his respects. His plays are never quite the same as before.

sorry I'm gonna be annoying and answer this way, just to be sure since that was one of the things not shown in the end theme video-

I love how he's just hallucinating about stuff!! he's building up his own image of Haru, and since it's already differing a lot from the real thing I wish they'll address that when Unmei and Haru meet for the first time!

(and if that's not the case, at least the hallucinating will still be good for jokes and memes, hehe)

whoopsie, I finally finished a short Sakurazaki fic that's been sitting around almost done for almost a whole year....

thoughts for season 3!

okay so I started rewatching the season last.. october? but got only a few episodes in, so I restarted the rewatch this spring and oh! boy!! I also forgot to take thoughts down while watching so these are probably very messy...

first of all: Tobitaka!! my boy is finally here!! I surely am too biased to say anything but his awkwardness is so relatable in the beginning, and he grows so much during the season.. also that said, he sure does play a lot of matches even in the beginning, as a literal beginner in the international tournament lol but I do love how he stays in the lineup until the very end!

I think there was overall less of those small fun moments that really caught my eye when watching s1, and the tone is a bit different from s1 and s2.. but it's not a bad thing! I think it fits the bigger goal of international tournament.

Fudou bench jokes are still great

I had forgotten all the deets regarding Fuyuka's backstory, Hijikata's involvement with the Brazil team's drama, and Daisuke's backstory... so I was kinda positively surprised how much story they got, since I remembered them as very brief and shallow (one could argue they could be a lot deeper still, but let's pin that on the overall genre okay)

I'm still missing language trouble between the teams, especially on Liocott..

I kept sighing so hard at Kageyama redemption, that was not my jam. very mixed feelings when I enjoyed listening Fideo (Shimono Hiro) talking but he kept on yapping about Mr K and Catenaccio Counter :-D

I think I've grown to kinda like how Cotarl is a Raimon copy, especially in the visual way

early season Kudou is still so "dude why are you like this" but hey whatever gets the kids doing what you're intending...

very random but. Gladius Arch still makes me think about the old AU idea where hissatsu are physically real. those swords man

The first part of the final match felt kinda ":/" but thankfully it kept getting better and better!! Inazuma sure knows how to build the hype

also the final episodes still make me emotional.. the graduation... senpais leaving the team... the compilation of opening songs during the last match... the different eye catch calls...... sobs softly

yeah uhh what else... I'm going to watch the ogre movie too before moving to go but might not do separate art for it (though there is the iconic line of "those are the words of the devil"

buuut yeah, I enjoyed this season a lot and it was so good to revisit it!! but while it's again a bit sad to end the og series, I'm really looking forward to watching go again too!!
