âGirls Night 3 - The Challenge pt 4â
Xavier: oh. I donât like this. Too sour
Mr Johnson: itâs just lemon and black pepper? -trying to hold back choking on heat and trying to look cool as the heat creeped up-
Harley: -trying to get as much of the sauce as possible- this is so interesting! Not just lemon and black pepper Mr Johnson. Lemon drop pepper, Kent?
Kent: -revealing the bottle and picking it it- Lemon Drop Pucker. Lemon Drop peppers, Aji Pineapple peppers and habanero
Wednesday: nice creeping heat
Xavier: oh my god! Itâs so hot! How are the two of you just sitting there!? I need some water!
Harley: you have the plate. Spoon out some cottage cheese. Water wonât help
Xavier: cottage cheese is gross! I need water!
Harley: -giving Xavier some rice- then rice
Mr Johnson wiped his face. Enid cleared the bowls. Kent placed the next set of bowls
Harley: oh ack! I do not like this one. It has szechuan peppers. I do like the star anise and green onion. I donât care for Chinese food.
Wednesday: I love the onion!
Xavier: aw. I hate onions -gasping and grabbing more rice-
Harley: -disgusted by Xavier using his hand shoving rice into his mouth from the bowl that was supposed to be shared by all of them- well. Thatâs rude. As for onions? I wish there was more of an onion taste. At least for me. Perhaps the Szechuan pepper taste would be more tolerant
Mr Johnson: -looking uncomfortable- very Chinese - he reached for some bread- gotta cleanse the palette. Would be nicer with a shot ofâ
Principal Thropp: -with a wave of her hand- oh no you donât!
Xavier: why is Chinese stuff so hot sometimes?
Kent revealed the hot sauce âSzechuan Surpriseâ
Enid cleared and Kent set out the next bowls
Wednesday: oh yum. More onion! Ghost pepper I believe? Getting to the hot stuff now
Harley: yes! Whiskey adds a nice smoke. And dates? For the sweetness?
Xavier was trying not to cough/choke. It was very hot for him
Xavier: water please?
Harley: for the last time. Water doesnât help. Drink some lemonade or orange juice! Thatâs what itâs for. To cool down the peppers.
Xavier: -gasping- that just seems wrong! - he drank the orange juice handed to him by Harley because Wednesday poured it- oh my god! It works!
Mr Johnson grabs the plate of tortillas and eats them.
Kent: -revealed the sauce as Mr Johnson ate all the tortillas and Xavier downed more juice - Whiskey Ghost!
Harley: this is so much fun! All of these so far are sauces I havenât tried. They really are so good! I am so glad none of these so far? Have truffle oil.
Kent: one more. Then the final three
He brought out the nuggets
Wednesday: oh hell no. Truffle oil is so overrated.
Mr Johnson: how is it Harley is just breezing through this? And excuse me? Truffle oil is a very exquisite item. Adding an added omamee flavor
Harley: Iâm Mexican/Puerto Rican. I grew up eating peppers. My father gave me one of the Heatonist challenge packs for Christmas but I never tried them on the chance that I would get invited to do the challenge. My little sister gave my dad one last Christmas but I was away on location. They enjoyed it without me
Wednesday: truffle oil is overrated and over used. Most donât actually have any actual truffle in them. And the term is umami. My family also has strong Mexican roots. We also embrace food of all cultures
Xavier: -still struggling with the heat of the sauces-you should come to Los Angeles! There are so many Mexican places out there. I would love to show you around
Wednesday: -eating the nugget in front of her- oh my gosh! Harley, eat your nugget! This one is delicious. Onions again but with raspberries, allspice
Harley: -eating the nugget- oh my! Wow. Nice heat. Really hot. Scorpion pepper I believe
Wednesday: the allspice really makes it.
Harley: it does. Wait. Hibiscus?
Wednesday: youâre right. Iâll have to see if the kitchen can make the crew tacos. Iâll give them a barbacoa recipe.
Harley: Iâve got a family carnitas recipe. As well as a birria recipe.
Wednesday: Bianca? Can you talk to Lou Anne about a taco night?
Bianca: they are already planning. Iâll let her know about the carnitas and barbacoa recipes. She was asking around about birria. I know they are making beef stew for Saturday. Iâll have Lou Anne talk to you about your recipes
Frankie: beef stew? Really. How boring
Enid: oh! Wait until you try the stew! Itâs really good.
Alyssa: I will trust you on that.
Mr Johnson: I can share my Spirit of theâ
Principal Thropp: -waving her hand again- will you stop trying to promote your tequila!! This is Wednesdayâs event. She and her friends are 17/18 years old. She did not have to allowed Mr Burton to have you included. Only Harley, Alyssa, Frankie, and Pippa were actually invited
Xavier: -still choking even after several handfuls of rice- how are the two of you so calm?
Harley: Lou Anne Noble correct? The one who runs Pilgrim World? I went incognito for a visit. Goody Addams is a riot.
Wednesday: Candace. She really is. As is Gary who plays Crackstone. They have really put work into the roles and take them seriously but have fun with them.
Mr Johnson and Xavier were still choking on the sauce

OC questionnaire
Thanks @oliolioxenfreewrites here and here, @winglesswriter here, @the-golden-comet here, here, and here, @paeliae-occasionally here, and @drchenquill here!
Rules: answer the given questions in the POV of your OCs, then give the next people three more questions!
Holy shit I'm actually caught up?!?!
Previous Questionnaires:
Rounds One and Two Masterpost
Maddie, Ash, Noelle, Ewan, Jazlyn, Lexi, Alex, Carmen
Gwen, Gabriel, Liam, Xitlali, Akash, Jedi, Rose, Sam
See below for: Robbie, Hye-Jin, George, Wade, CJ, Teo, Atsila, Niri
#1- Robbie
Would you consider yourself loyal?
âWell, I don't exactly want to toot my own horn or anything but yeah, I consider myself loyal. If anything happened to Akash, I'd actually lose it. I got into a physical fight in his honor. That was how I displayed my powers for the first time, actually, so that was pretty cool. Sammy, too, I'm very loyal to my sister. And my friends at Alium, they're so dope, I love them, okay? So, yeah, loyal. Me. I'm that. I'm like a dog that way. ... I think that's a good thing. I dunno why I had to say that, I was done. *Sigh* okay I'm just gonna stop now and move onto the next question because holy shit I'm rambling, and I always do that, and I never know when to stop annnd I'm doing it again, okay for real this time. I'm done.â
If you saw someone unhoused on the corner asking for money, would you stop and give or keep going?
âFrom personal experience, I'd stop. My mother always makes sure I have money, cash, on my person at all times. And unfortunately - well, maybe not unfortunately, I dunno why I said that, the POINT is, I have this thing where if I see something bad happen, and I know I could help, but then I don't, I literally cannot stop thinking about that for anywhere between a full 48 hours to the rest of my life. I passed someone before, because I was late, and then ran back and gave them like five dollars because it ate me up, but they were happy, so that made up for the fact that I was late. Great, now it sounds like I'm humble-bragging. I swear I'm not trying to. My point is that I want to help people. And I'll stop there before I ramble again.â
Pineapple on pizza. Thoughts?
âGonna be honest, never tried it. But I'm SUPER curious. I gotta know what it tastes like, but I'm scared. Both Ash and Noelle like it. Ash I don't trust at all - that girl likes the dumbest food combinations - and Noelle is interesting because she likes food and knows what goes well together, but also I don't remember when she's ever described food as bad, and she has other pizza toppings that she claims are better anyway. Point is, I'm curious but scared to try it.â
âš Robbie intro postâš
#2- Hye-Jin
What's your earliest childhood memory?
âOh, that's difficult. Hmmm... I'm not sure which is the first memory, actually. It's not like I memorized the time and dates of everything haha! [Pause] Okay, fine, I remember. It was the first day of preschool. I had only just turned three. Everyone in the class had these, uh, Assignments, I guess. Roles? Hm... Ah yes, jobs, so everyone in the classroom had responsibility. It was randomized, but I got the "caboose," or the person who stood in the back of the line. I cried really hard because I thought that was the worst job in the world, and my teacher probably hated me. I got to carry a flower, though, so I think that calmed me down.â
Do you dance?
âIt's more like did. From, hm... Ah, kindergarten grade through sixth grade, I did ballet, tap, and jazz at a local dance studio. But middle school kinda allowed me to take more extra curriculars that were more convenient, so my parents told me I should probably drop dance after my sixth grade year was a mess. I didn't want to, but y'know it is my parents' money. I wish I could've kept it up.â
What smell you can't stand?
âOh, cinnamon. I'm so sorry, but I don't like it. The smell, anyway. It's weird, I don't mind cinnamon as a taste. But the smell is too much. Maybe that's weird.â
Other Hye-Jin: OC in three, fun facts, bingo, deep dive, origin, outfit, questionnaire one, questionnaire two
#3- George
What never fails to make you laugh?
âA couple things. One: my sister, Carla. She's actually really funny. Watch a movie with her, and you'll see. She's yelling at the screen, insulting her favorite characters, getting way too invested. She tells me all of her thoughts. Two: stupid customers. Hilarious! Someone told me their newly installed voice activator was broken. They were going to pay me a LOT of money. They programmed their voices and everything! Turns out, they hadn't turned it on yet. Three: Liam. The guy can turn everything into an argument, it's fascinating to watch. But funny as in he's super clever, and he can roast anyone. The funniest day for me would be if they came with me on my job, i had to deal with a dumb customer, Liam roasted them, and Carla ranted about a new movie she found.â
How can you tell if youâll get along with someone?
âHaha, that's funny. People skills are just a little overrated. It's been Carla and me in our house for a while, and we've been doing fine! I'm certainly not going to make friends doing my job no matter how much the homeowners want to talk to me. Liam is cool, and I knew I was gonna get along with him when we met, so he's literally the only example I have for this question. Okay... I knew I was going to get along with him because I was getting everything hooked up to move a lot of the data to our place, and I was talking out loud and Liam seemed bored so he inserted himself into the one-sided conversation and helped me figure out everything. Then the next day, I was working on one of the computers, and Liam came up to me and just started talking. He said I seemed bored, and I was. Sometimes I can't fix things at superspeed because I have to wait for the computer to respond, or the hardware is delicate or something. He asked me to 'infodump,' he said, about any topic I wanted to. The previous night, I stayed up late reading the entire file on jellysponges, so I just talked about them and suddenly, it was like no time had passed and the computer was done! Liam nodded, said my information would be helpful if he ever got into an Alii marine biology debate, and then he invited me to sit with him at lunch. That was cool.â
Do you prefer sweet, savory, sour, or salty snacks?
âI have been talking for way too long. Well, I mean, you may not think it's that long, but I don't do this unless I'm excited about something, and being a speedster it feels like it's taken forever. Anyways, I like all snacks because I have to eat a lot for my metabolism, but honestly out of those snacks I like salty chips.â
Other George: OC in three, questionnaire one, questionnaire two, fun facts
What is your favorite season?
#4- Wade
âOoh, that's hard. [A couple seconds of silence.] Sorry, Liam's in my head debating all of them. Alright *claps hands* I think it has to be summer. There's so many things to do, and it is always pretty fun to just make a vacation plan. And the beach is awesome. Teo and Parker and I plan our summer - well I plan it; if the others did it'd be a disaster, and they know it. The point is, our summers rock.â
Where would you like to visit?
âI would like to go to Japan. There's so much stuff to do in Tokyo alone. I haven't been to Comic-Con, and I'd really like to, or an anime con. Being from Florida, I've been to Disney World a few times, but not Disneyland in California. Then again, the one in Tokyo... Man, there's a lot of planning that'd be involved. Can't wait til I graduate.â
When do you usually go to sleep?
âI try to be in bed by ten so I can get to sleep before eleven because high school times are shit and I want at least six hours before I have to get up, and that's still not enough sleep! Parker and Teo have it worse, though, since they both can't get settled down until, like, midnight. Uggghhh, we should ban school before nine.â
Other Wade: OC in three, interview, kiss, questionnaire one, questionnaire two, two truths and a lie
#5- CJ
How long has it been since you last travelled?
âLast summer, my family went and traveled around Sector 8 in Alium. It was so fun. Though I admittedly kinda missed Issa. She would've loved it. My favorite part was seeing an opera, actually. It's quite fascinating.â
Where is your favourite place?
âI find it a little strange to have a favorite place. Sometimes my room is a good place to be but sometimes I just want to leave it. Now, I think you're probably just referring to a place that statistically I'm more likely to be happy in. In that case *shrug* not enough data to say definitively, sorry. However, I sometimes stop by the library and just organize books that are there. They're always out of place. And the librarians know me by name. I don't think I have any bad memories there, so even though I don't go to the library every day, I think that's my answer.â
If the inciting event never happened, what would you be doing?
Other CJ: questionnaire one, questionnaire two
*bursts out laughing* â'Inciting event?' Like, as in stirring up something or like, in a story? Cause this is real life, baby. Okay, I'll play along. I guess one could say it was Rose showing up. I suppose if that never happened, I would just be living life like normal. Rose and I don't have a lot in common, but I enjoy talking to her. She is really friendly and thoughtful. So I guess I would be a friend short. And I would be content, but not as happy as I am now.â
#6- Teo
Do you speak more than one language?
âUh-huh. Three, actually. English, Vietnamese, and American Sign Language! I'm fluent in all of them. My parents decided to try and teach me ASL when they realized I'd need, like, hearing aids, so they, like, took classes and taught me! And not to toot my own horn but, like, having three languages down meant my brain was, like, SO ready for kindergarten.â
What is your favorite thing to eat?
âDo NOT make me choose. It's literally, like, whatever I'm eating in the moment. Right now *holds up* it's this sandwich.â
What drives you to succeed?
âMy boyfriend. And also, like, my own ambitions. I can do a lot of things. Again, not bragging, just a fact. I know, like, gymnastics, acting, improv, role play, those are similar I know, playing the guitar, singing, photography, ballet, graphic design, editing, I can go on. It's literally just me wanting to learn how to do more stuff, y'know? I want to build an impressive ass resume. Not just for, like, jobs, life in general. I'm always looking for new skills.â
Other Teo: questionnaire one, questionnaire two, kiss
#7- Atsila
What's the worst thing you've ever done? Do you regret it?
âThe worst thing? Ha-ha-ha, what a question. What, in my opinion? Well, I wasn't paying much attention in my literacy class, so I failed! Hahaha, I'm kidding. I'm just not the kind of person to do terrible things, baby. I guess sometimes my competitive nature has made other people upset, but that's technically not anything I've done. Well, that's settled.â
What's the quickest way to make you laugh?
âI do love watching someone make a fool out of themselves. Deserved, though. I have standards. I won't kick people while they're done, but it's sure funny when those who get in my way fall over. Also, make a sexual innuendo and I'll be on the floor in stitches.â
What is your favorite song right now?
âThere's this lovely piece called âWho We Become in the Shadowsâ by Keano Adler. You wouldn't have heard of it, being Ceter and all. Anyway, I should get back. It was lovely talking with you.â
Other Atsila: questionnaire one, questionnaire two
#8- Niri
Do you sometimes wish to be someone else?
âSometimes, yes. I don't want to lie. I'm thankful that it isn't constant. Usually, I am happy. Sometimes I'm not. It depends on the situation.â
Do you push forward or take time to rest?
âHard question. [Thinks about it] I think I rest if I find a task boring. I push forward when I like the task.â
What is your favorite drink?
âI like hot chocolate. It is not just a winter drink!â
Other Niri: questionnaire one, questionnaire two

Making Money really has Vetinari smiling a lot. And he beams twice.
Also, this whole exchange is hilarious.
--
âI see the Times has put colour on the front page again. The front and back of the one-dollar note.â
âYes, sir. Very nice.â
âActual size, too,â said Vetinari, still smiling. âI see here that this is to familiarize people with the look of the thing. Even now, Drumknott, even now, honest citizens are carefully cutting out both sides of this note and gluing them together.â
âShall I have a word with the editor, sir?â
âDonât. It will be more entertaining to let things take their course.â Vetinari leaned back in his chair and shut his eyes with a sigh.
âVery well, Drumknott, I feel strong enough now to hear what the political cartoon looks like.â
There was a crackle of paper as Drumknott found the right page.
âWell, there is a very good likeness of Mr Fusspot.â
Under Vetinariâs chair the dog opened his eyes at the sound of his name. So did his new master, with more urgency.
âSurely he has nothing in his mouth?â
âNo, sir,â said Drumknott calmly.
âThis is the Times of Ankh-Morpork, sir.â
Vetinari relaxed again. âContinue.â
âHe is on a leash, sir, and looking unaccustomedly ferocious. You are holding the leash, sir. In front of him, and backing nervously into a corner, are a group of very fat cats. They are wearing top hats, sir.â
âAs cats do, yes.â
âAnd they have the words âThe Banksâ on them,â Drumknott added.
âSubtle indeed!â
âWhilst you, sir, are waving a handful of paper money at them and the speech bubble saysââ
âDonât tell me. âTHIS does NOT taste of pineappleâ?â
âWell done, sir. Incidentally, it does so happen that the chairmen of the rest of the city banks wish to see you, at your convenience.â
âGood. This afternoon, then.â

RP Memes from Redditâs Thread âWhatâs a casual unpopular opinion you will always stand on?â
âI really don't feel the need to update my wardrobe to "modernize" it. â
âPeople who tell you that they're "brutally honest" are usually just mean.â âLeagues donât exist in dating. You never know who someone would be into.â âI prefer my water plain. Never liked any flavored, carbonated, sparkling water, or whatever else that isn't just plain water.â âOver half the dog owners are terrible pet owners, let their dogs do whatever it desires and don't deserve to own any pets.â âHereâs my hot take: I actually love rainy days!â âI think its great to be lazy and not be permanently on " The Grind" or giving your 100% in your day to day experience on a regular.â âPlain lettuce is delicious.â âPeople who donât like cats are people who get offended by being told no or things donât go their way.â âI don't like lemon in my water. If a restaurant serves me water with lemon in it, I'll fish it out with silverware.â âWinter is my favorite season.â âGrey vinyl plank floors are the ugliest, cheapest looking, tackiest thing you can install in a home and I wish they would be outlawed for assaulting my eyes for the past 10 years. â âBarbecue sauce is disgusting on anything and always makes a dish worse.â âWhen eating a string cheese, I donât pull it into âstringsâ I just bite it.â âDeath is a part of life and shouldn't be feared in the way it is.â âAlcohol sucks in every way.â âYou can typically fix being cold but itâs harder to fix being hot.â âNew car smell is gross. It literally makes me want to vomit.â âThere are much worse things in life than being alone.â âI think chocolate is boring and overrated.â âTea is better than coffee.â âI refuse to sleep naked.â âResidential recycling doesn't work. More than half of that stuff ends up in the trash anyway.â âI could eat mustard straight. Itâs the best.â âI love sleeping with socks on. It's like a blanket just for my feet.â âMy unpopular opinion is I like QR code menus. And even more if I can order directly from it.â âToast must be burnt. Unburned toast is just warm bread.â âPineapple goes on pizza and itâs delicious.â âPot is not as cool as everybody thinks it is. It is overrated and stinks way worse than people think.â âFried eggs are the best food ever. If there were no side effects, I'd eat three meals of them everyday for the rest of my life.â âYou canât just change your sports team because they are losing. Pick a team and stay with them.â âIts pop not soda! The bubbles go pop. This is one of my strongest opinions and I will never back down to a soda-er.â âWe can change at any age.â âIt's never too early to decorate for a holiday you like.â âIced coffee is INSANELY overrated.â âDonât listen to those that have been successful. These people are an example of survivorship bias.â âVegetables are actually very tasty in raw and all other forms. A carrot or a celery stick is as fun to me as chips or biscuits.â âI think it's a weird flex to brag you have no friends or that you hate peopleâ âSalt and vinegar chips are amazing. I don't care how much it hurts my tongue.â âThe tooth fairy is real.â âMilk should always be poured before cereal. Soggy cereal is disgusting.â âMayonnaise doesn't taste good, and neither does ketchup.â âFlat soda is delicious. They should just make cola and rootbeer flavored water.â âNot every sandwich needs cheese on it.â

tbf. i don't hate the new package as much anymore. i still think it could've been done better but i do actually like it more than the last one they had. i just wish they kept the pineapple pattern like on the first one. crazy that i actually remember seeing that in stores... im old now i guess. but i like the new font the most. it gets the taste across well. i like the colours. i don't like the random green with the awkward blocky font on the first one. and the blue..? hello? the second one fit the brand itself but the realistic pineapple... idk. i feel like if they had just steamrolled the pineapple and kept the pattern or simplified it it wouldve looked even better but what do i know

Beach Picnic with Taeyong
A/N: Happy Taeyong Day!!! đ
Waking up next to your boyfriend, Taeyong while the waves crash right outside the window, was a dream. This was the first vacation that you two have spent together and it was making you wish that everyday was a beach day with him.
Taeyong woke up a little bit after you and decided to make breakfast. You opened up the kitchen window that looks out unto the water so that you could hear the waves better. You two ate breakfast quietly, still in the process of fully waking up, but enjoying each others company all the same.Â
âYou know what we should do today?â Taeyong asks you, breaking the silence.
âHm?â
âI want to have a picnic at the beach with you! We brought that blanket and all weâll have to do is go to the grocery store to get some food.â With that you two found yourselves going to the grocery store about an hour later. He decided it would be nice to ride on bikes to the store since it wasnât far.Â
It might sound weird but going to the store with Taeyong was one of the things that made your heart swell with love. Doing normal everyday things with the love of your life was something you relished in. It sounds backwards but doing the normal things with him was what made you stop and remember to actually be present in the moment. Going from aisle to aisle, you two got everything you needed for a picnic, and things you didnât need because Taeyong had the tendency to get distracted. You two decided to get sushi, precut pineapple, mango, watermelon, and some strawberry cake for dessert.
You two didnât think about the fact that it would be hard to carry groceries with the bikes but luckily they had baskets in the front. It was still a bit of a struggle, but you two were having fun so it didnât matter. The weather was that perfect summer weather that was too nice to be in a car anyways.Â
It takes a good minute but after a while you find the perfect spot for a picnic on the beach. Itâs secluded and a little bit in the shade while still being close to the water. Taeyong placed the blanket on the sand while you got out all the food and started to display it on the blanket. Â
âWhy does food always taste so much better on vacation?â Taeyong asks while you both share the sushi. He does that cute thing where he closes his eyes and throws his head back a little while he chews his food to show that heâs really enjoying it. You wish you could take a quick picture but he stops before you get the chance so you take a mental picture because you never want to forget his little quirks that you love so much.Â
He then goes straight for the pineapple. You watch him in anticipation because you know exactly how this is going to end. Immediately after he takes a bite he realizes that its too sour for him. He scrunches his face in reaction to the sensation. You canât help but laugh while you hand him the mango and take the pineapple away from him. Â
Once you two decide that you have had enough, you pack away the food but leave the blanket out for a while longer. You two sit and watch the waves together. Even though it was hot, Taeyong still wanted to get closer to you. He pulls you into him and you lean on him while he wraps his arm around you. You wish everyday can be like this with him. But in a way, itâs a good thing that everyday isnât like this, because it makes days like this all the more special.Â

Pizza Pizza Pizza! Story continues
(Previous chapter is here)
Some might call what Mr.Atom was doing was pure spontaneous, the truth is once he thinks an idea might work he generally doesnât have time to dilly dally on said idea. He already felt crazy for going along with this, him making pizza? He had no experience with making pizzas, no his expertise laid with subs and stir-frys, if those were cheap to make he would just offer what he knows.
However pizza was the cheapest option to make in this town if you have the right equipment for it and he so happened to have the right equipment at the pizzeriaâŠâŠhe paused as the women lazily put his menu on the cork board without much care, she had stuck the white paper on top of other advertisements, he could barely see Joshâs ad amongst the more color papers âEveryone really thought color made there ads more noticeableâ he mumbled to himself briefly before he went down a few isles in the store, this store did sell food and although it was small it would have what he neededâŠ.at least for now. He didnât plan on cooking pizzaâs later reallyâŠ..well he might have to actually once his business is in full swing but he would probably have someone else in the kitchen.
The man was surprised to find pizza dough in one of the freezers, it wasnât the regular âget from a tubeâ pizza dough but instead it was a ball of dough ready to be de-thawed, he took one out of the freezer âHow is this cheaper then the pre-shaped version?â That was the option he was going to go with but this stuff was cheaper and it shouldnât be that much harder to de-thaw.
He put a few dough balls in the basket he had grabbed before he went and found the other toppings, he tried to buy cheaply, so with a large can of pineapple secured he took everything he had gathered and checked out. A scruffy black haired man rung him up âYou must really like pizzaâ the cashier muttered as he noticed the items consisted with being pizza ingredients âItâs alrightâ Atom replied back, small talk never did go anywhere when it came to checkout linesâŠ..unluckily for him there wasnât a line and it was still early enough in the day âI personally enjoy mushrooms on my pizza, not the bulky kind, it wonât cook down if its bulky, same goes for pineapple. Actually did you know the original Pinapple pizza had really thin pineapple on it? Yeah youâre supposed to slice it thin, it just being dumped on the pizza? Gross, but yet for some reason people just keep doing that, I guess people really are just that lazy nowâ the cashier yapped giving some pizza facts and apparently history? He really didnât have time for this âyeahâŠ.rightâŠ.â He wasnât sure what he was supposed to say to that but then cashier just kept talking forâŠ..some reason âAnd donât even get me started on BBQ or Mac and Cheese Pizza, both are terrible flavors. I just donât understand why people enjoy ruining a perfectly good pizzaâ he rambled up until he told Atom the grand total of what his purchase would be. âYeahâŠ..yeah I donât get it eitherâ he replied handing over the money, he really just wished for this interaction to be over already âsee, you understand what I meanâ the cashier took the cash giving some change back before he went to pain stinkingly slowly bag the groceries âThereâs nothing wrong with just a normal slice of pizza and when I mean pizza I mean cheese on the sauce, not the other way around, you donât taste the cheese if the sauce is on top of itâŠ..though I will saw cheese stuffed crust isnât half badâŠ..or at least it wouldnât be if the cheese was actually melted in the crust. I donât know how people do it but half the time the cheese in the crust is never fully melted. Makes it disappointing.â Atom just nodded along until the grocery bags were in his hand âYeah well thats just how it is sometimes, see yaâ he heard a âsee you laterâ as he walked away, he didnât want to get pulled into another unwanted conversation.
He saw a cop with brown hair patrolling his route, normally seeing a cop wouldnât bother him, it shouldnât bother him, why should it?
As he started putting his groceryâs in the car with the remaining papers he suddenly thought of the reason seeing a cop should bother him, he illegally acquired some security footage to cover his own flank since his property decided to get up and take a stroll through town as if that is normal. Not only that but a child got hurt by one of his animatronics and he just cleaned some of that evidence up at his place of business. It all sounded bad, especially if authorities managed to find that out.
As he put the last grocery in his car he heard a voice, he lifted his head up turning to the left to only see that cop standing a few inches from his car now. Did this guy just seriously park to come talk to him? Atom tried to keep himself from looking annoyed, sometimes he really hated having social interactions forced upon him. âMorning, got a minute to chat?â The cop asked with suspicious eyes, maybe thats just how his face looked âWell I mean, sure I guess but ivâe got frozen itemsâ not that the dough was something that was going to stay frozen, he already planned to de-thaw it but that was besides the point, he was going to use it as a excuse to get out of this social situation âand a few more places to go before I can get them to my freezerâ the cop looked unfazed âJust a minute of your time, I promise not to take up much moreâ Atom sighed but nodded so the cop proceeded to ask him âHave you seen anything odd going on in this town lately?â The question itself was vague, did this cop know something? âNot particularlyâ technically not a lie but at the same time it was, the lie was that he did see something but on the cameraâs after it had already happened and his cameraâs really did suckâŠ..he should really replace those eventually, preferably before opening but he wasnât going to cry about it if it ended up being replaced later. Bad cameraâs really werenât helping the rumors surrounding Fazbears thoughâŠ..it was one reason Atom was going with his own logo instead of just using the Fazbear or Freddy name.
âYou sure?â The cop almost seemed moreâŠ.insistent? âYeah? I donât really go out more than I have toâ was that really so hard to believe that a grown man only goes out when necessary so he can avoid social interactions like this? The cop nodded âAlright, okay, guess Iâll let you go on your way thenâ the cop backed up a bit before he seemed to stare Atom down before leaving to his car. The pizzeria owner looked at him like he was weirded out and truth was he was.
The cop got in his car and drove off at a slow pace making this even more odd than it had to be âOkaaay thenâ Mr.atom decided to get in his car and go off to the next location to drop off his menu. There was a few small businesses in this town, one being the bowling ally, another being the roller rink and of course one couldnât forget the local hair salon, the feed store, the gas station and the local library simply because they allow for flyers to be left on the bulletin board located near the entrance. So with these locations in mind the man drove to each one handing over his flyer at each before he started to notice that after he left each location he saw the same cop! Was he following him?! Atom didnât feel comfortable and honestly he didnât have time for this. The owner drove back to his pizzeria, the whole time the cop followed at a distance up until Mr.Atom went into his own parked lot, parked his car and had the groceryâs in his bag that he saw the cop slowly drive past him and his establishment. âWhat is up with that guy?â he muttered before he decided to just shrug off the weirdness and go inside.
When he entered he went to the main party room to check on Josh, to his surprise Foxy was walking around now âAlright walk backwards nowâ Josh told the bot, walking backwards wasnât really in there program much, most are just programmed to turn around instead of back up but the man needed to test every movement function in order to determine if Foxy was alright and working properly âWhat, you have him fixed already?!â Mr.Atom said with great surprise as Foxy walked backwards which didnât seem as natural for him but the movement was solid enough, Josh looked back at the owner âMr.Artichoke youâve been gone for two hours and most of Foxys problems was just wiring issues butâŠ.â He paused âbut?â The other urged, was something wrong? âwell, heâs got a bit of a head twitchâ the engineer admitted as Foxy looked at them, the animatronic looked as if it was thinking now that he was left alone to just stand there. âA huh?â Josh pointed over at Foxy and this guy was right, the fox had a head twitch ever so often âI checked, that twitch isnât caused by anything physical, I would know, if I had to guess it has something to do with his code which I can tinker with but Fazbears code for these guys have always been a little quirky so that might take longer. It doesnât seem to be affecting his ability to listen and understand though so it might not be anything terribly seriousâ the term quirky being used to describe code for something thats supposed to be around kids was a bit of a interesting choice âIt better not be anything seriousâ Mr.Aton said with a sigh âI guess just monitor him for a bit, Iâm going to go put my groceries awayâ the owner grumbled before he just walked off, the bot watched him for a moment before he seemed distracted, Josh looked over at the bot.
âIs something up?â The man asked given the expression on the foxâs face, the animatronic looked over at him âIâm justâŠ..remembering is allâ the bot admitted as his hand brushed over his hook that was free of any color resembling red âRemembering what?â Josh asked, he knew some of Fazbears animatronics had ratherâŠ.intense code put in them, it made them seem real enough so they could fulfill there given rolls, Foxy paused before he said seriously âI hurt a kid a few days agoâ he seemedâŠ..uncomfortable? With this fact âA kid?â The man asked, the fox nodded âI lost control, the lot of us did, IâmâŠ..not happy about it. This place isnât for kids, not yet anywaysâ The animatronic turned and walked towards the stage where the others of his crew sat turned off âWhereâs Freddy?â The fox asked looking at the man, the animatronic was comfortable around Josh, itâs not the first time he has seen this man. His head twitched as he asked âDonât know, your new owner here couldnât afford him, so I donât think this place is going to have a Freddy.â Separated by a price tag, the fox grumbled âThese land lubbers and there pricesâ he didnât seem happy about it, he didnât seem happy about any of this âYou donât seem to happy about this, I understand being upset about the kid, if I recall rightâŠ..your old location, you found a kid badly injured correct?â The fox nodded âYeah, Balloon Boy decided to be a little brat and give a kid something to actually cry about. That one had always been faulty, had a huge ego too and anger issues, I donât know why somebody thought giving a animatronic anger issues was a good idea to be honest but out of everyone at my old location Iâm not going to miss him.â He paused before he thought about it, poor kidsâŠâŠhe hoped the child he hooked was okayâŠ.that rabbit took her out of here, he remembers that much.
Part of Foxy didnât trust the rabbit, part of him didnât know why but something deep within kept him from trusting Spring, he can only hope he helped that child. âTo be honest, I hate balloon boy tooâ Josh said causally before he came over to the table he was working at âDo you mind sitting Bonnie here?â He asked the fox âI pulled my back just getting you on that wheel boardâ the fox blinked âSure Bud, I can get him over thereâ Foxy went onto the stage before he put both his arms under Bonnieâs before he lifted him sort of to his feet before he dragged his friend over to the chair, Foxy sat Bonnie down in the chair âThanks Foxy, you might want to go charge for a little bit while I fix up Bonnieâ his job wasnât exactly entertaining but Foxy didnât really want to charge exactlyâŠâŠthough he saw his battery only was at half charge in his hud so reluctantly the fox went off to go charge at the nearest outlet leaving the man to fix up his friend.

Save me beautiful sky at Wawa. Beautiful sky at Wawa save me
Positive thing: Class went well, and I got to play more Hades.
I was hearing from some other classmates and it seems like we're all just going through it. It's nice to know we're not alone, but it also sucks this program hasn't been as supportive as I think it should've been.
Anyway, I'm very tired. I wish I had had therapy today but I'd already canceled it since I thought my class would run late, but I did take a nap so I guess that was good. I had my second class in the evening and it actually went pretty fast. Even though I like that class, for whatever reason there's this group of students on the other side of the classroom that just don't shut up, so I end up getting irritated. I'm glad it was over with quickly today.
I heard one of my classmates decided to take an extra semester so he could take his time with the remaining classes we have. He was apparently very overwhelmed and stressed and losing his passion for counseling, so he dropped internship and is going to graduate in spring instead. The things he was going through felt similar to what I've been feeling lately. I definitely need to talk to my therapist about what to do about my burnout. It'll only get harder from here if I don't.
Hades was fun today though. I got to Hades (the boss) and actually almost beat him first try, but he got me at the last moment. I'll just have to give it a few more goes and I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.
Oh yeah I did go to Wawa today. I got the pineapple passionfruit refresher and I think I liked the color more than the taste. But it was still alright, just too sweet. Tomorrow after class I'm getting lunch with a friend so maybe I'll try another kind of drink from Wawa on the way home.

Faygo: Grape (Review)
note: Myles didn't get around to buying this flavour last week, so he'll be editing this tomorrow to include his opinions!
(our ratings & experiences)
Flavour Accuracy
Myles:Â 20/20 Roni:Â 19/20 Average Rating:Â 19.5/20
It's pretty much the perfect combination of that sickly sweet artificial grape flavour and the flavour of actual grape juice. Even if I were evaluating the accuracy of the 'grape'-ness of either definition, I think it'd score high on both. Only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is because it tastes just barely a bit too sweet.
Now THIS is what Faygo should taste like. Unlike all the other Faygo flavors reviewed so far (which all taste like an elephant's piss overloaded with sugar), this drink precisely simulates the taste of grapes while still tasting the way a soda should. It's almost as if the grapes that were used to make the natural and artificial flavoring of this drink came from Dionysus himself.
Health Concern
Myles:Â 10/20 Roni:Â 3/20 Average Rating:Â 6.5/20
It tastes pretty fine in terms of 'is this killing me', but after checking the back of the bottle... Wow. Faygo had to count this bottle as 2 servings instead of one because the sugar content is 164% of the recommended daily sugar value. 164% isn't even real. How did we accidentally go from the lowest sugar content in the first week to an absurdly high one??? And we started on cotton candy?! The only reason this isn't at 1 again is because my body felt completely fine after drinking the whole bottle.
I probably should be concerned since this is an American drink with the sugar content and all the artificial elements to match, but I guess it's the flavor of the beverage that dispells most of my concerns since it actually tastes good. Then again, that sugar content of 82 grams does seem pretty concerning...
Color Appeal
Myles:Â 12/20 Roni:Â 13/20 Average Rating:Â 12.5/20
Looks pitch black at first glance, but it's actually a dark grey-purple colour that you can really only see if you shake the bottle. I like purple, but I feel pretty average about this drink's colour. It matches the flavour well and it's certainly not unappealing, but I feel like they could've done better with it. Maybe a slightly more vibrant purple would bring up my score for this.
If I'm being honest, the colors of the label are more appealing to me than the color of the actual drink. But it's this near pitch-black color with purple tones here and there that reminds me of Ribena so it's all good with me.
Overall Enjoyment
Myles:Â 20/20 Roni:Â 18/20 Average Rating:Â 19/20
It's pretty good! If I hadn't checked the back, I feel like my enjoyment would be a 19 or 20 out of 20. They hit all the marks with this flavour and the drink had an interesting enough flavour profile that I didn't get sick of the taste. This is a good time to mention that neither Myles nor I are affected by sugar (i.e., we don't get 'sugar highs' or 'sugar crashes'), so that factor isn't involved in any of our rankings.
Unless there is another flavor out there that can make me change my mind, this is the best Faygo flavor out there in my eyes. If it's there on the drink shelf at EzyMart, I'm taking it. It makes me wish that the other flavors were this accurate to their name.
Re-drinkability
Myles:Â 20/20 Roni:Â 17/20 Average Rating:Â 18.5/20
The only reason my score is knocked down is because of the sugar content written on the back of this thing. I actually really like the drink as-is, and I'd get it pretty often if it wasn't so detrimental to my health! Same feeling as Pineapple, but better. Another side note is that this flavour is sold out everywhere in our main city except for one store location. Could be a sign that Grape Faygo is actually good!
Would I drink this again? Absolutely. This isn't even the first time I've had this particular flavor before. I chose this flavor for this review knowing it would be a relief from the tongue-incinerating experiences that were cotton candy and pineapple. I can only hope the other flavors that we are yet to review in the future are as enjoyable as this.
Summary
Mylesâ Rating:Â 82/100 Roniâs Rating:Â 70/100 Average Rating:Â 76/100
Grade:Â B

Potentially silly question regarding Grima: You've discussed before the idea of him loving to have pineapples around as a status symbol on account of them being something weird and exotic that no one else has, but if given the chance to not just have them kicking around for symbolic purposes and actually be served to him, do you think Grima would taste them, and if so, if he'd like it or not? And what other foods (fruit or otherwise) do you think might he consider a status symbol?
I live for silly Grima questions!
And Grima would love pineapple! it's so sweet, he'd be gung-ho for it. He would be that person who would receive one and then be grieved over whether or not he wished to put it on his table or eat it. Like receiving a work of art as a rug - do you hang it on the wall or put it on the floor and use it as it was meant to be used?
In this world with the anachronistic pineapple, I think initially Grima would never eat them. He would keep them until they weren't aesthetic anymore then they'd be fed to the goats or pigs or chickens.
However, once he had been in a decently powerful/wealthy position for long enough I think he'd take a pineapple and try and figure out how to eat it.
There would be a debate: can you eat a pineapple?
Eomer says no - they're prickly on the outside, sharp, pointy, clearly a sign they're poisonous and not to be eaten.
Grima says yes - there are prickly pointy sharp plants that are perfectly edible. It's a matter of knowing how to do it.
Eowyn has no opinion on the matter, but she holds that Grima should be the one who tries it first.
Theodred is just confused about why this matters. They have perfectly good, delightful food. There's no need to try and eat the table decorations.
Grima: but what if they taste good? Who knows. It could be fun for us.
Being a reasonably intelligent man, Grima makes his least favourite person eat a bit of the pineapple first then they all wait and see if he dies. When it's determined that he will live, Grima tries some and is like 'it's terrible. None of you should have any. I'll take care of it, don't worry.' And hoards the pineapple like the wee dragon wyrm he is.
Figuring out how to access the inner flesh of the fruit involved Grima carefully cutting small bits off then they were like 'ah, the outer layer isn't that thick so this is easy'. They were also all mightily pleased that there was no stone inside which means more pineapple to eat.
Figuring out how to propagate a pineapple would be a past-time Grima would undertake and if he managed to successfully figure it out he would be like, 'they are absolute freaks of a plant. I love them even more. Eomer, build me a greenhouse.'
---
Other status symbol foods for Grima?
Certain herbs and spices would be: cinnamon, vanilla, saffron, cardamom, lemongrass, sumac, caraway, nutmeg etc.
Citrus in general - I don't see Rohan doing orangeries or anything, that would be a Gondor-style invention. So all citrus is imported which makes it rare and expensive.
Grima trying to convince Eomer to build an orangerie is now my new favourite mental image.
Grima: we could have oranges in winter, my lord! just. think about it.
Eomer is like, 'you really took on the decadent living full force, didn't you?'
'I was born on a farm in the north, my lord. I grew up living off turnips and seasonal produce that can grow in cold climes and whatever we foraged. Not that we ever foraged or poached on the local lord's land. Never.'
Anachronistic tomatoes! Certain tree nuts would be strictly imports and so therefore a delicacy (e.g., almonds).
I don't know if Rohan did class based consumption (only royalty can eat certain meats etc.), but if they did - whatever was determined to be for nobility alone would be something he'd put great stock in now having access to.
Man, this guy's diet really improved when he joined the king's household.
Grima: I ate a lot of pottage. Bread soup. Meat but more so in the autumn when we slaughtered the animals that were right for it. Turnips. Carrots. Roots for days. Cabbage. Ruffage of that sort. Berries if they were in season. Apples, when they were in season. Fish from the river sometimes. Cheese. Most everything was salted, pickled or fermented.
Eomer: I see.
Grima: but now I can eat fruit whenever I want! also we have meat with every meal and it's fresh meat, too. Not to mention wine. Also food is spiced so fancy here. Look at this ginger. This would cost five of my father's sheep. I never new cardamom existed until I came to Edoras. You even colour your jellies random colours solely because it amuses you to have them coloured! Wild.
Eomer:
Eomer: you know, I get it.
Grima: and you have white flour! Wheat! It's not rye or barley - amazing. And white ale! ugh, the lap of luxury, my lord. I will never grow tired of it. Oh, and fancy tea that I've never had before arriving in Edoras.
Other things would be jellies and custards - anything that is time and labour intensive would be a status symbol. Figs, dates - dried fruits that had to be imported would cost a pretty penny and be for the wealthy alone. Not to mention grapes and olives. Peacock and other more fanciful poultry, of course. Like the feasts would be certainly something.
I sometimes imagine, like, twenty-two year old Grima arriving in Edoras and getting absorbed into the king's household because he's one of the few fully literate people in the city and seeing a royal feast up close for the first time.
Mind blowing.
Grima: how do I eat this?
Theoden: it's an orange. Have you never had an orange before?
Grima is like, Do you think I've had an orange before?
Theoden:
Theoden: fair point.
Grima has more than one shirt in his possession and thinks he's basically a lord, now.
---
Things to also consider is if there were any social constraints to when you ate certain food - such as religious festivals. Was fasting during a certain period part of Rohan's culture? Were there restrictions or taboos around grouping certain foods together? Did those restrictions apply to everyone equally or only certain groups? Was there a gendered aspect to food consumption and access?
E.g., in early medieval Scandinavia (think vikings), boys were favoured and so in lean/starvation times they were given the good food and the daughters were not. We can see in skeletal remains that within the same generation women were more likely to have suffered a starvation level of hunger at a greater percentage to men.
So, like, in Rohan if there was a lean time during his childhood was Grima fed more in comparison to his sister(s)? How does that impact someone's relationship to family? to food? etc.
-
Also what was the meal structure like? Did they do two meals, as was common through much of the medieval era in Europe (broad brush stroke, of course, regional variations existed and things shifted over time. E.g., Venice did dinner and supper but there was a secret, third meal between the two that was like a sort-of tea/snack break)? I suspect at a minimum it was three in Rohan since we know Gandalf et al arrived in Meduseld in the morning and Grima makes reference to Theoden's meat (i.e., his meal) being at the board. So, likely breakfast of some variation.
However, Theoden was old and infirm and that might mean he was eating different meals than he would be otherwise. How illness and age are treated in terms of food consumption is another impact to what you eat and when. (Allen Grieco was a historian who wrote a good amount about this - granted he was more in the early modern period, but his writing on food in early modern/renaissance Italy is super fascinating. Recommend Food, Social Politics and the Order of Nature in Renaissance Italy as a good starting point.)
(granted, anything from Harvard Press' "Villa I Tatti" series is worth reading if you're into the early modern and renaissance period.)
---
Ok I've gone on for too long. I just. fucking love thinking about food habits and rituals and all the weird little things that impact how and what we (or Grima) eat! It's so cool!
Thank you so much for the ask! <3 <3

Attack on Titan + Favorite Cocktails
Part 1: Scouts
so I want to make actual cocktails that I feel like represent these characters but it's gonna take some time to craft. so for now here's the regular drinks I think they'd really like + links to the recipes if you want to try them for yourself!
I tried not to include rum in any of the scouts recipes because i don't think that's something they would logically have access to. Connie's recipe includes rum but it can be substituted with vodka quite easily, so i thought it was worth including.
Eren + Feuerzangenbowle
- a mulled wine, but with a sugar cone that u set on fire !!!
- this is one of Connie's favs too but they never let him make it because they don't want him anywhere near an open flame
- eren likes the mulled wine by itself too, when the scouts are in hiding he makes it as a treat on cold nights
- makes it as more of a social event as opposed to just wanting to drink. loves to gather everybody around him while he sets the sugar cones ablaze one by one
- his mulling experience makes him the best punch maker of the scouts too. In a modern!au he's always tasked with making the punch for parties and get togethers. he puts his hair in a little lunch lady style hairnet and gets roasted to shit by Jean.
Mikasa + Kirsch Royale
- red like her scarf đ±đ±đ±
- very very cherry flavored mixed with champagne
- like mikasa; beautiful, will knock u on ur ass
- historia introduced her to it at her coronation party. everyone's popping cheap champagne and historia Demands that they bring out the good stuff for her friends
- just likes vodka-soaked cherries in general; anything that's spent time submerged in alcohol is her finger food of choice
- if Jean/Mikasa endgame they bond over their love of cherry liqueur idk idk ((also kirsch?? kirschstein?? the flirting opportunities baby))
Armin + Aperol Spritz
- lightweight alert!!!!!
- usually a really light alcohol content, pregame type of drink. just a white wine and some sparkling water really
- armin has two of these when he first drinks and gets absolutely blasted. Someone (probably jean) snuck it from erwins office the night before shiganshina 2 electric boogaloo
- armin drinks it on special occasions. But he also likes to bring a pitcher of it down whenever he talks to Annie
- in the modern day he LOVES Pina coladas, but in universe he has no clue what a pineapple or a coconut is so
- when he goes to marley he also discovers blue caraçao and puts that shit in everything ("it makes whatever you drink look like the ocean!!!")
Jean + French Connection
- called "The Connection" because France doesn't exist
- just cognac with amaretto liqueur
- his dad drinks it; that's it that's the reason
- he thinks it's cool and masc because it's served in a brandy glass and only has two simple ingredients; wants to be seen as an adult and a man's man or w/e
- has a convo post-rumbling talking about how he "wished all alcohol wasn't so bitter tasting". man has had only cognac and a hint of amaretto his whole life. Annie buys him a sweet moscato wine ("her one good deed for the week") and his head explodes
Sasha + Rumplesnuggler
- literally creamy alcoholic hot chocolate (peppermint schnapps and Irish cream being the alcoholic part)
- sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet
- her dad made it for her one christmas and ever since then she's been hooked
- every time she drinks it it takes her back to the cold woods of her youth, of her loving family, and of her moms delicious cooking
- gabi and falco try the non-alcoholic version of this and love it too. instant sugar high
- she also really likes anything with vodka because it's made with potatoes lol
Connie + Green Demon
- midori and lemon juice!!! Toxic waste in a bottle!!
- azumabito brings a bottle of midori as a gesture of goodwill (likely called something else at this point) and Connie just đđ "it's green. Like GREEN green"
- he's putting it in everything, like it's food coloring. Green water, green green tea, green coffee. Menace to society
- he lets niccolo try it and he ponders the taste for a second. "Let me try something". Squeezes a WHOLE LEMON into the glass (he's a chef not a bartender). Tastes it, immediately regrets it. Sooo sour. He's about to throw it out but lets connie try his concoction of the damned first
- Love At First Sip. man never tried that marleyan wine because it's just midori and lemons from here on out
- when he gets married they toast this instead of champagne. heck he might just get married to the bottle
- Connie Springer Midori Melon Man
Levi + Dry Martini
- my first thought was a U-Boot which is just beer with vodka poured in it. this man weighs 100 pounds soaking wet and 50 of those pounds have to be liquor before he feels anything
- instead it's gin and vermouth which is. Not much better tbh
- levi likes to be in control of what he drinks but also what he looks like while he's drinking it. No unsophisticated beer kegs or basic wine glasses. It's martini glass or bust. No martini glass? He'll just drink water.
- same with the olives or lemon peel. No garnish? No drink. he's a little picky
- definitely has a favorite bar that makes it Just Right. probably a bar he went to with Erwin when they were starry-eyed scouts
- in the modern day he also makes a hell of a mixer. Kenny 100% taught him how to make a killer trash can punch
?????????????????????????
Hange + ???
- do NOT engage hange in talks about alcohol do NOT pass go do NOT collect 200 dollars
- their fav drink does not have a name. it is a long island iced tea but made of GARBAGE
- the ingredients change every time but it is invariably disgusting
- attempts at mixing include: pickle juice, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, seawater, bone marrow, olive oil
- every once in a while a combo will come together that shouldn't work but absolutely does. do not trust this miracle to happen twice
@lemmetreatya @nuri148 @uwubraun u guys said u were interested so!! here it is!! i did it. my opus. im gonna do the warriors next and i already have Ideas

Oh!!! Oh, and!!! Someone I know here's going to try and figure out how to make malanga fritters I am so excited for it.
I got your other ask, too. I'm working on allowing myself to be more selfish, so... I hope you don't mind me keeping the other ask in my inbox and answering it here?
That... Oh, stars above, that means so much to hear, really. The Universe really is cruel sometimes. I'm glad I got to meet you, though! I just wish... It was in a way that wasn't this bad for you.
You're forgiven entirely on it, I promise.

Sorry this took so long! I've been tryna come up with something interesting for you but kept coming up blank. So, wanna hear about some Weird Fruit?
The longer I'm in the mainland, the more I discover that certain fruits I grew up with are either unheard of, or assumed to be completely fictional to a lot of people, I'm sure that varies by region and country, but here's some neat ones that I've heard people be surprised by (putting under a cut because it's long and also big trypophobia warning)
Starfruit: This is what the papu fruit in kingdom hearts is based on, I don't know anything about friendship myths surrounding them, but they are actually star shaped when sliced!
Poha berries/Lantern fruit: These things used to grow at my mom's house, they're sweet and mild and have a texture kinda like cherry tomatoes, but they come in cool pods and are bright orange when ripe, so they look like paper lanterns!
Pitanga: These are sometimes mistaken for acerola cherries, but are completely unrelated. They're really sour unless it's at its ripest, but tasty and really neat looking.
Hala: I've never actually eaten this, I didn't actually know it was edible until recently, but these are an important cultural plant in Hawai'i!
Very cool looking in general, the long thin leaves have been dried and woven into Lauhala mats for centuries, and nowadays are also used for hats and stuff. But, about the fruit. I used to convince tourists these were pineapple trees because of how the fruit looks when it grows, as well as the leaves being stiff and serrated in a kinda similar way.
This is how they look on the tree, they're a little bigger than pineapples and ripen to a similar shade of yellow. Other than that, they're nothing alike. (note; pineapples are bromeliads and grow single fruits from the top of a short plant)
When the fruit is ripe is can break apart into these guys, each segment is fully separated from each other, and attached to a central husk type thing, like so:
They're super fibrous, so when they dry out they're like paintbrushes
I used to find these things all over the sidewalks downtown
Noni: I'm really biased about noni fruit, because I hate them. I wish that I, too, had never heard about noni. It's vile. But now I'm inflicting the knowledge onto you. They're supposed to be a superfood and my dad went through much too long a phase of making fermented noni juice at home and making his kids drink it every morning. I'm lucky I didn't get botulism. Maybe botulism just didn't wanna touch this shit either. Fermented noni juice smells like ass, tastes like ass, and looks like sludge, and the fruit itself isn't better. Observe:
Aside from just being kinda oblong and lumpy and looking maybe kinda like a curse from Jujutsu Kaisen, sure, they're not the worst thing. Kinda neat, if you can't smell them, and didn't have to go climbing trees to fetch these slimy shits with the full knowledge that you'd have to ingest them later. Wanna know why they have all those eyelets?
They flower like the creepiest little aliens. This actually makes me like them more, but not enough to make up for the sins of my father. Anyway, they're green, firm, and tolerable when unripe, but omfg when they ripen...
Full fledged curses now. The color of something you'd find dead in a pond. Very Eyeballs. The skin will break with even the slightest pressure, and the meat oozes out in a putrid slime that smells like hell. Fuck
Rambutan: These guys are kinda like big hairy lychee. The shell is also thicker and cracks open easy, I always thought they looked like eggs when you open them.
#aaand that's all I have steam for sorry#but ulu is another fun one to check out#ask mene#ask game#trash talk#drop a sunflower and I'll rant about random shit

Mangos are top tier fr!
And i didn't exactly go in a particular order i just listed the fruits that were at the top of my head. If i had to choose a favourite.. probably mangos or durians or bananas or mangosteen or- nevermind i cant choose
My local markets are filled with like, a dozen types of fruits, but maybe thats because im asian.. you could try shopping at a asian grocery tore or something! Not sure if you have those there, but eh.
If you ever come across mangosteen or longan you shpuld deffo try some! Theyre super sweet (if you pick the right one), and taste amazing!!
I dont really know about the types of apples, so im not well acquainted with the entire red delicious 'controversy'.
Oh and im just not gonna comment about the tags because uhm. I actually have no idea what to say about it..
Anyways heres the list of fruits i dont like!
Lemons
Starfruits
Pineapple
That one thing i forgot what it was called but tastes bad
My classmates
Mangoes are top tier.
I can check the local Asian grocery store next time I go. I will probably need to go back there soon. (Aside, I ran out of gochugaru, and I'll need more if I'm going to make more kimchi, but it's so much effort that I've been putting it off. I can't get it anywhere else convenient other than online.)
It's okay. The red delicious issue is pretty ridiculous - it's a silly stupid thing I have a strong stance about. It's the pretty common dark red apple - with very little yellowish green near the stem and occasionally on the sides, too.
Don't worry about that. A fair amount of the time, I'm just doing the internet equivalent of talking to myself out loud in the tags. That was mostly the case in those tags. Tags are my way of putting a suggested mute button on my ability to say something.
I love lemons - although I don't eat them on their own too often. I also love pineapple. (I might get judged for this, but pineapple curry is one of my favorite curries to make/eat)
I'm sorry that you don't like your classmates. I've taken a few courses where there were some people who bothered me so much. I wish you luck in dealing with them, though.

Travel Blog - BĂŒsum (North Sea)
15.-17. September 2023
I decided to write a little travel blog about my trip to BĂŒsum as well C:
Overall I want to cherish the memories I made more, photos are great and all but thoughts count too. Polished cam photos will follow later on, for the blog I will keep it to phone pics <3
15th September - 1. Day
The little weekend trip to BĂŒsum was my birthday present from my parents for this year. I went with my Mom. Last year we went to Cuxhaven for 4 days but it was a bit too long for my taste.
I got the friday off in exchange of not getting the Bookfair Friday, therefore we planned it later on. We went to BĂŒsum a few times already, last time it was in the high of the pandemic, you still can see some leftovers from the time. But it's nice to see the city lively again.
We stayed in a hotel very close to the harbour. It's run by a family of alternative folks, they are all tattooed, pierced, have dyed hair and are super open to everyone who is different, I love that. We also found out there was a tattoo convention that weekend and a lot of artists stayed in our hotel.
My very wish was to eat at a specific pancake restaurant but it closed down last year, we decided to visit the replacement restaurant and I have to say... it became our favorite one to eat at over the days. And I loved their menu of teas, heck, so many teas.
We had a Kaiserschmarrn with Blueberry compot in the "style" of the former owner. Then we walked a bit around the city and the beach area, flood was there therefore we couldn't get into the Watt but that was okay. We had booked a spot in another restaurant for the evening and had to check in later on.
Also I had planned to do doll photos the first evening, we were quite packed.
It was the first time for me to eat fish at the sea that was not... fish sticks. But I actually liked it. That was new for me. As we finished we hurried back to hotel to fetch the 5 dolls I had packed to take pics.
We had the most beautiful sunset I very much loved it!
16th September - 2. Day
The day started in the Hotel with breakfast, we were told it would be absolute amazing and it was ... average? Dunno? It was okay but we had better over the years.
Then we went into the Watt for a nice long walk before the flood came in. We explored the area a lot and found some new spots or spots we forgot about?
After that we of course had to get to the tattoo convention, it was super interesting to see. The buzzing of the needles was a bit weird though.
Then we went to fetch lunch and .. well. The restaurant my Mom had chosen was the worst. I had asked for seasonal fruit with my pancake and was told to get kiwi and mango. I got melon, pineapple and a rather disgusting strawberry syrups smoldered on top. Mom's choice was advertised as served "hot" and it was cold and I was super disappointed here. I really feared my mood would declince more and more... Mom asked me what I want to do now. I told her I just want to walk and we... walked. And it helped.
We discovered new restaurants and spots, like a park with some outdoor sports equipment. Dunno why but it lifted my mood. We then got to the restaurant we ate lunch the day before and got some cake as I just wanted to relax somewhere. It had actual seasonal fruit (berries, apple) and we booked a spot for dinner there.
I am seriously not the type who loves burgers but since there are more restaurants popping up with non-meat patties I am testing them here and there. I had a vegetable patty and the sourdough bun was toasted so well it was crunchy until the end. The cabbage salad was really nice and not to mention the mousse au chocolate as dessert.
We came back to an incredible scenery as it got dark and the sun went down. We took another walk and went back to the hotel then.
17th September - 3rd Day
The last day had arrived. I went on a little morning walk on my own and the sunrise was absolutely beautiful and the fog on top of it... I am still in awe.
After checking out we took another big walk into the Watt, the scenery was amazing, I can't put it into words.
Before we left we had another stop at our new favorite restaurant and I had some american cheesecake (only had german one before). We left BĂŒsum then.
Before we completely left we stopped at a local farmer and got some vegetables, the area is known for cabbage and it was in season.
Traveling back ate my complete spoons though as Mom mistook a route and we ended up in Hamburg... I mean... I saw the convention hall for the Polaris and all but I was just so done then.
Overall it was a very good trip, I had the feeling last year Mom and I grew apart a bit as she was a bit too clingy for my taste, maybe it was just that 4 days with her is too much, dunno. But this year was way better.
