🐹🦔 Hinadam Day 3 - Sunflowers / Scars
I sat for so long trying to figure out how I wanted to line the last sketch but I just wasn't happy with anything....so you get the messy sketch I guess.
Anyhow, I have a LOT to say about this one actually. It's under the cut.
I have a lot of issues with DR3. Like, a lot. One of my lesser but still important issues however is how they handle the SDR2 cast. In Ch.6 Monokuma-Makoto (Monokoto? Makuma?) details the various ways the remnants mutilated not just others but themselves for the sake of despair. Yet, some how, they all look completely the same once they wake up in DR3. I feel the whole cast should look different, some more than others of course...
At the end of SDR2, we do see Hinata (I do think they shouldn't have done this. They should have left it up to the audience to decide what Hinata's fate was post-SDR2, if he stayed Hinata or woke up as Kamukura....much like how Makoto's handbook calls him the "Ultimate Despair" post final trial, possibly hinting at a darker alternative ending.)
(I got off track...)
Anyhow, we see Hinata, so we can infer, canon-wise, Hinata's body looks mostly the same. Which makes sense. We see Kamukura in his headspace in ch.6 and besides the long hair and red eyes, he basically looks the same.
But everyone else shouldn't, I think. Komaeda we know looks mostly the same sans Junko's arm. But Owari is hinted to have starved herself, which would be pretty impactful on one's looks.
It's even acknowledged by Sonia.
SO anyways...long story short, that's why I feel the cast should look different at least to some extent...
So here's my own piece of my personal vision for Tanaka/Hinata.
I flip between if Hinata is one identity and has merged him and Kamukura, or if they both inhabit the same body. But that's a tangent for another post.

Oh no a post about Remus Chronic illness my utter kryptonite It's worth taking into account that his Lycanthropy causes chronic illness symptoms - but they do not last all month, no. (I try to go through it a lot here lol - my imperfect canon scouring)
He always looks ill - though that doesn't mean he feels ill. As you pointed out, in PoA he is generally an energetic, fun person - bubbly when he is feeling safe, quick-witted when pressed, etc.
He might have been wearing masks, lying to everyone all year to leave a certain impression of being a popular guy that's more put-together than he actually is (being a show off to the kids - but getting facts wrong in his classwork) - but I also think that's similar to who he is when he is happy. He liked being at Hogwarts.
Before the Full Moon he looks more sickly than usual, enough for Harry to notice at a glance when off Wolfsbane - but he could still study for and do exams. He 'feels off colour' but can still chat to people when on Wolfsbane.
So before the full moon, for a couple of days at least, he isn't too bad - just a little under-the-weather.
After the Full Moon He is pallid and his voice might be hoarse. If we guess he was recovering on the train from a Full Moon - he sleeps for 8 hours, looking so bad 'one hex could finish him off' With Wolfsbane: he cannot go to a small Christmas lunch. He looses a noticeable amount of weight very quickly. Judging by days stated in the books, he takes at least 2 days off work to recover. That recovery period would be longer without Wolfsbane.
So he spends about 10% of each month too sick to work, and likely a bit more than that noticeably under-the-weather - say 20%.
That could reflect in his work as a teacher, too - beyond it simply being his first year. He is disorganized and behind schedule. He puts his effort into making things engaging for the students at the cost of being the most informative, which would make sense if he can't work properly for up to 20% of the time.
But 80% of the time he is alright. He isn't constantly suffering or in pain. Pain doesn't even seem to be a particular symptom. He has a few days a month of being wasted, a few more days of being a little unwell - but he is absolutely quite perky, when life is good.
Enough of constantly in pain Remus (this is about him in Canon not a comment about personal HCs). When we meet him hes jumping around and giggling for most of the book. He's friendly and funny and a trickster. He is tired after his transformations, which also cause him to lose weight and to look sickly. Between them he looks healthy and is able to teach like 28 classes a week no problem. Before poa he had it harder than other people to get a job bc he's a werewolf, but it wasn't impossible, and there is no reason to think James didn't leave him an inheritance.
He becomes the tired and stressed out man in ootp. When it's impossible to get work as a werewolf even with a full hogwarts education and all the connections that he has. Should James have left him any money it's not unreasonable to think it ran short after 14 years, and the upkeep of his welsh home would then also prove harder - a reason why he'd move in with Sirius.
I mean, the sad and broken man of ootp and hbp is not the man we meet in poa, nothing close to it! He is reckless and charming and brash, he sets up obstacle courses for his exams which he has to reset for each of his students and be ready to rescue them from. The anti werewolf laws set up in ootp really really hurt him, and we see that in the books. This isn't his normal state

the more i think about it, the more sock being liked in his town makes.. less sense?
like, i get it. he's friendly and he's kind, people like him for that. in the show, that kind of takes a backseat. he's more hyperactive, more ADHD traits are shown (for lack of a better term) and people don't really like that. was he masking his entire life?
also, how did he have 0 real friends? if he's so well-liked, wouldn't some friend group have formed with him in it? or at least tried to? what would even be stopping it? not a whole lot, I know sock isn't stopping it.
but the nail in the coffin (hehe) is the fact that he's killed things before. it's a fact. and it's well known, too. he showed a dead squirrel to jojo, do you think she just.. didn't tell anyone? and if she did tell everyone, then how is he still so liked? is that why he has no friends? but why does anyone still like him or talk to him in the first place, even if he has no true friends? did she tell and nobody believed her? then how does he have 0 friends??
so im personally retconning that fact for my headcanon as of right now. sock was not very liked in his town, actually. he's good at making friends with strangers, yes, but he's too hyperactive (and too murdery) for a long term friendship. Jonathan is his first real, guaranteed chance that someone will get to know him, or at least he gets to know someone else.
-sock anon 🔪
Wait hold on did Erica say he was well liked in his town? Or is that another head canon?
I've always thought Sock was bullied and hated. He kills things, he's weird, he's too friendly and creepy. But worst of all he dresses weird. He probably gets hate crimes for being gay because he wears a skirt. I mean the amount of people who couldn't handle it in the real world was ridiculous.

I write fanfic, and have some concerns about MC's baby. Baby (Hope) was made in lab and has genetic differences. Currently, I consider something like Down Syndrome?
~
Background:
In canon: character mourning his best friend (an alien), and try to clone him. (Alien later later in story come back to life)
My thoughts: When you clone someone, but use DNA from 2 people, it's actually a baby...
Since they are different species, I consider having their child being either triploid (3x chromosomes) or tetraploid (4x).
Which can be genetic issues. And disabilities. I sort of base on Down Syndrome, but also different.
~
Things I thought issues:
1. Should I just have the kid have Down Syndrome? At least it's familiar, and unrepresented. But also DS is only 3rd 21 chromosome, not all chromosoms are 3.
2. Issue about the kid being a baby. Since initialisation is a big problem for ppl w disabilities, DS especially.
3. Dad 1 (the scientist) has a "what have I done" moment. It's before the beby is born, and before her differences are showing, but can be problematic. I try make it clear this is problem bc Dad goes 1) my dead friend didn't agree, 2) i shouldn't make a kid, 3) I'M HAVING A BABY!?!?
4. Also, I don't know if there's problem with "made in lab and different"? (Like it's "punishment", or something about mutations? Idk I'm not from USA nor Christian, but I know people who are has weird issues).
To be clear, both dads love their kid. They call her their light and "our little miracle". Though can also be issue?
Thank you!! I hope it make sense?
Hi!
First, I want to clarify some points from a biology perspective:
Humans are really bad at handling the wrong amount of DNA, and really bad at cross breeding with non-hominids.
A cross-breed between two species with different numbers of chromosomes may or may not be viable (best chance is when the species are closely related), but the hybrid is nearly always sterile.
A haploid (1x) from each parent can make a new human. Most organisms also work this way. But some organisms produce sex cells with multiple copies of the genome--for example melons can be made to have 2x seeds.
Aneuploidy (3x or 4x) is lethal to most species. Some (plant) species are more resistant, but still sterile--a normal 2x melon and a 4x melon produce a seedless 3x melon, for example.
Monosomies and trisomies are not always fatal, as evidenced by Down Syndrome among other chromosome disorders.
If you want to follow biological constraints, I think having Hope be a hybrid is not the best choice.
But you can do whatever you want, and model off of any chromosomal disorder you want, since you're dealing with fantasy biology.
I think the most important/constant aspect of chromosomal disorders is intellectual disability. Hearing and vision loss are also very common.
Infantilization is not so much a worry with an infant character. It's okay to have children in a story. It becomes infantilization if the character is routinely treated as far younger than their age.
I don't think being made in a lab is a problem. Genetic disorders happen, whether chromosomes are combined in a lab or in a body.
And I also think it's normal for your character to have all sorts of emotions about having made a new person. Just like when someone is pregnant. You're clearly showing it as his complex emotions regarding his actions, not disdain for baby Hope.

it's not about whether they were on romantic terms or a canonical pairing, i'm talking abt what people are happy to ship or not and the fact that people who ignore jayce full on killing viktor are still out here saying that cait hitting vi was some huge act of abuse. also, not even what the post is about.
cait hitting vi in the tunnel is not abuse. this is the people beating the shit out of each other with big weapons show. jinx and vi were both FULLy trying to kill each other and i don't think i've ever seen either of them called abusive to each other on those grounds. just because cait and vi are romantically involved does not make it abuse; it makes it lashing out once in a moment of extreme emotion - which i'm NOT saying is okay, but you do have to take it for what it is. abuse is a repeated pattern of harm, and just slapping such a loaded label onto a single instance & ignoring context is really weird. it IS a physical assault, if you really want to put a term to it, but it's not domestic abuse, specifically. and there really isn't a single main character in the show that hasn't committed a physical assault on a loved one at LEAST once. (like, i don't fully love the "omg what a parallel" posts, but it IS comparable to vi striking powder at the end of season 1 act 3. uncontrollable lashing out in the face of extreme distress.)
anyway, my main point is that the problem here is how this is never ADDRESSED. caitlyn hitting vi is not actually the problem, in and of itself - the problem is that the show never actually RESOLVES their conflict, or holds cait accountable for the things she does this season. the show DOES make a big deal out of vi hitting & leaving powder, and she says multiple times that she shouldn't have left her, and tries to make it clear to jinx that she is sorry and did try to go back for her. likewise, cait's classism & still thinking of vi as lower since she's from the undercity/related to jinx isn't the problem - it makes sense that that's a view she would have at the time - the problem is that the show never resolves this issue. not that the issue EXISTED.
trying to find good critical analysis of caitvi in season 2 is so rough. no i don't give a shit about "cait HIT vi multiple times!!" or "cait went TOO FAR as a commander" like shut up this is the People Hitting Each Other and Going Too Far show. say something about thematic consistency or setup & payoff or narrative weight or GET OUT OF MY HOUSE !!
#im ALSO anti caitvi idk what youre on about like im defending them#i wouldnt CALL myself an anti just bc . im not going to go out of my way to make hate posts or blow the issues out of proportion#i just really dont like them. and i think their relationship is handled badly in season 2#mine#arcane#arcane critical#anti caitvi#<- for ppl to block

I had a realization about my Blades MC x LI dynamics which means absolutely nothing but has been living rent-free in my head all day regardless. Here goes:
TyrilMC/AerinMC - Lovers who happen to be best friends
MalMC - Best friends who happen to be lovers
Ramble I had to add under a read more because it was originally going in the tags before I realized I was approaching 30 tags with no end in sight (it's gonna show):
Look, I can't speak for y'all's MCs and pairings and playthroughs, but that's literally how it is in mine. And I'm not favoring one type of dynamic over the other, it's just a difference I've noted and this is how I finally put it into words. And I can't speak for all LI/MC dynamics either, which is why I'm limiting this to the LIs I personally romance.
I was just thinking that Mal's scenes often feel like they have a bit more of a friendship element to them even when they're romantic compared perhaps to the others, if that makes sense? I mean, MC is literally said to be Mal's best friend regardless of whether you're on his route or not, whereas for my other two LIs, there is definitely a strong friendship, but it feels like it is strengthened by their relationship with MC.
The more obvious example of the two is Aerin. Lbr, who is his best friend if not MC. And I feel like being on his route emboldens his being intimate with MC, and I'm not even referring to physical intimacy, just in an opening up kind of way, an expressing himself more freely kind of way. 'Cause if you're not on his route, there's no real reason for him and MC to be particularly close as a duo within the larger group, and they are not portrayed as one by the book either. MC is often not even particularly nice to him outside of his diamond scenes. So while my MC does genuinely enjoy Aerin's company, I know their bond is harder to justify on canon alone if they're not dating.
And then in Tyril's case I think his romantic relationship with MC really propels their specific Kilvali, even though I think there'd be a special kinship between them regardless if he and MC are the only elves in the party (which is the case in my pt) and they nevertheless would grow closer by virtue of him being a link to MC's lost culture and heritage that he enjoys teaching her about, but I think their love is what makes them such a close duo and therefore reinforces their friendship. I mean, consider how long it took for Tyril to recognize his relationship with MC as Dinvali vs how much longer it was for Kilvali, even though they had a blossoming friendship before it turned sexual.
Meanwhile, with Mal, it's like their relationship was the natural progression to their friendship, making it the other way around for MalMC—as in, their friendship strengthens their relationship. Because if I take away all romantic elements of my MC's relationships with them and leave only the platonic—and also strip personal headcanons about their dynamics and personalities to focus on what the books actually wrote (because, for example, you can hc an MC who has basically the same personality as Tyril/Aerin which is why they get along so swimmingly, so maybe a sarcastic, blunt MC for Aerin or a cool, sort of stoic MC for Tyril, who then is a perfect fit for their respective LI, but that doesn't mean that's how the writers wrote MC, who, like it or not, does still have a canon personality that is closer Mal's and not much like the other two), anyway yeah, so strip all of that and Mal would likely be the one of the three MC is closest to. I think that canon MC personality is a big reason why the MalMC dynamic is pretty effortless, while I feel like if I don't make the active effort to include TyrilMC/AerinMC in my playthrough (with romance being the more effective method imo, bc it leads to coded moments instead of just vanishing entirely as soon as a diamond scene is over), the game will not do it for me and they will not be as prominent.
And this is something that I think works for these LIs' personalities! Because Tyril and Aerin are more reserved characters who need to be close to someone (in this case, through a relationship) before they are comfortable letting loose and truly being themselves. As in, you have to get past their initial lack of charm to get to their actual charm. Whereas Mal is the opposite because he is very charming and charismatic right off the bat, so you don't need to tease that out of him, but it's within the relationship that he can be more real, such as him admitting to MC after a b1 hookup that (before her) he wasn't used to wanting certainty, a home, and someone to share it with, plus the rest of that vulnerable conversation. So then, instead of Mal starting out more serious and having the relationship show him how to let loose, he starts out casual and the relationship emboldens him to be serious, I think is a way it could be put.
Aside from personalities, it's possible that the timelines play into this as well, when you think about it. Yeah, all three of these LIs have stated at different points throughout the series that they were attracted to MC upon meeting her, but Mal was the one who was a friend the longest before the dynamics took a turn for the romantic. Because while Mal's and Tyril's relationships with MC were both taken to another level that night they had their first kisses in the lodge, Mal had been traveling with MC longer (consider how long it takes the group to get from one location to another off-screen) and therefore had more time to grow platonically before something else was added to the mix.
And Aerin, of course, took the fastest track, given that MC could kiss him the very day they met, and, if romanced since book 1 (which is the case in my playthrough) at no point has their relationship ever been solely friendly as a result, and even when they grow back together in book 2, MC learning to be friends with him post-betrayal happens simultaneously as MC and Aerin rekindling their past romance. Considering his characterization, I'd like to point out that Aerin seems to have an easier time with romance than friendship, as (so far—shoutout non-VIPs) he doesn't really show hesitance when it comes to being with MC romantically (aside from worrying—completely reasonably, may I add—that she wouldn't want him after the stuff he's pulled) and does often take the lead in that regard, but it's the idea of budding friendship that sent him running for the hills. Even now, as of b3 ch 11, he's said he's "not there yet" about his closeness to the party, but didn't even hesitate before proudly introducing MC as the "love of his life" to his mother. In his case, it's definitely the relationship helping the friendship progress.
To finish this off, I'm not saying all of this stuff I've been pointing out is exclusive to the romance routes. Certainly someone who's not romancing these LIs can have moments in their playthroughs where they let down their guards to their MCs, but I feel that, within my playthough in which they are romanced, this is how their dynamics appear, and this recontextualizes scenes and dialogues that any player can get outside of their romances. So yeah, I'm not trying to minimize whatever friendships other people's MCs might have with these LIs and I'm definitely not implying that either friendship or romance is inherently better or more profound than the other. But just that ever since I came to the conclusion that the MalMC friendship feeds and elevates the MalMC romance while the TyrilMC/AerinMC romance feeds and elevates the TyrilMC/AerinMC friendship, I feel like I'm seeing their dynamics in a new light.
#file this under 'was not meant to be an essay. oops.'#anyway I feel like this is the kind of thing that in the future I'm gonna look back on and have to many more opinions on. well. veremos.#there's also something to be said about TyrilMC friendship development vis-à-vis a hesitance he might have with emotional/platonic intimacy#following the loss of his previous Kilvalir Kaya. and I HAVE tried to say it in the past.#but I don't know where to start with that in the context of this analysis so.#playchoices#blades of light and shadow#tyril starfury#aerin valleros#mal volari#aerin valleros x mc#tyril starfury x mc#mal volari x mc

Regulus and James actually make so much sense to me and have a lot more in common than we talk about. They were both raised in a wealthy, pureblood families. One of their households were definitely more toxic but the point is that they grew up with magic and a whole lot of money. James was prejudiced against Slytherins before he met any and Regulus was prejudiced against all things muggles (I know one of them is worse than the other but it was still blindly believing whatever they were told without evidence). James was proud of his family, too. He thought Gryffindors were superior and Regulus thought Slytherins were. It’s basically the fact that their environments shaped them. James was told Slytherins are all evil and he hadn’t met any at that point and was already against them. Regulus was told Muggles/Muggle-borns are inferior to them (and there’s also the aspect of living in hiding because of muggles. That’s what Kreacher said—Regulus wanted to come out of hiding and rule over them) but obviously one of them is a very much darker and carries a bigger weight but the principle of it is the same, which is adopting beliefs and prejudice without question. I talked about both of them being attention seekers in this post. They played Quidditch, which also could contribute to wanting attention or it could just be the love of that sport in general but they did share that. I generally do not like ships that are Death Eater/Muggle-born because I don’t like a pairing where one of them sees the other as less than but James was a pureblood! A blood-traitor, yes, but still a pureblood. I’m not trying to downplay the Death Eater-ness of it all, I’m just trying to highlight some similarities. James grew out of his random hexing of anyone he could but the fact is that he had to change because he had flaws. Regulus took more time to change but he got there eventually and he paid for his mistakes with his life (it’s literally implied in the books by Hermione that he changed his beliefs so even if you don’t think he did, my interpretation is not wrong and I have text to back it up). They were both proud, both awful at some point in different ways, but they were brave, both loyal to people they cared about, and they had a good heart underneath it all. The war adds tension and tragedy but talking strictly personality wise, I do think they make sense. Almost like two sides of the same coin but not entirely. I feel like so many people use canon as an excuse but what they do is completely make James an angel and Regulus a super villain. There are a million ways to interpret them as they are essentially clean slates and this is just one! Jegulus is not ruining anyone’s character. It helps expand and add so much more to the few pages we got. I think they would understand each other. They would see each other’s absolute worst, they would see it inside themselves, they will choose to love each other, anyways, and it will be the kind of love that will make them love themselves. too.

this has been in my drafts way too long, and again, i suck at writing, but i’ve really needed to say this. how the hell is millionsummers so normalized in the fandom? well i know why, but it’s honestly crazy to me how 90% of the pretty small amount of legato fans in existence ship him with knives. like do you even understand his character? sure if you haven’t read trimax (like too many people) you literally wouldn’t know anything significant about him since he’s just kinda there in the other iterations. all you’d see is evil guy x bootlicker right hand that have minimal interactions with each other. don’t get me wrong, i could get behind that. like it even. but the issue is that there’s more to it than just that. even if you haven’t gotten to legato’s backstory in the manga, it’s clear from the start that the way that knives treats him crosses the line of average evil toxic yaoi bull. like literally the very first time we see them interact knives casually shatters every bone in legato’s body bro. causing irreparable damage and rendering someone a quadriplegic(?) after they were probably trying to get you a new body for the past 7ish years is so romantic, right!! He also just disregards him as a person and is generally shitty and all that which is kinda mean of him to do ngl. yeah you could say erm actually knives does care about legato though, he’s just too much of a stubborn bitch to show it!1!1!!1!! and i agree with that (to an extent, not getting into it though) but like…that doesn’t excuse the fact that he’s literally abusive. and that isn’t even considering literally everything about legato himself. he was horrifically abused for as long as he could remember. he doesn’t know what a healthy relationship of any kind is. he chose to serve knives (despite being well aware of how he was) because he never knew a life outside of that. he thinks that’s all he’s good for and knows he won’t be anything more to knives, yet still kills himself trying to prove his worth. knives is someone he is unhealthily dependent on who causes him to become more and more self-destructive. just because knives isn’t the same as his previous abusers doesn’t mean it’s not just another shitty situation he fell into. i do think legato’s feelings towards knives could be some sort of crush, but it’s more of a one-sided obsession than anything. to think that it’s an actually good cute little pairing baffles me. i think what i’ve said so far is enough of an argument, but there’s still my main point left. i held back on this till now because of the crazy amount of people say he wasn’t for whatever reason, but legato was a CHILD when they met. like do y’all SERIOUSLY think he’s an adult here??
i really don’t want to pull up panels from his backstory flashback, but you literally cannot convince me. nightow didn’t need to state it outright for it to be pretty obvious that he was a kid. we see how he draws other characters when they were younger as reference so you can clearly see the differences in proportion. i mean just compare it to how he looks throughout the rest of the manga, especially near the end. just because he doesn’t have a confirmed canon age doesn’t mean that there wasn’t an intent there. y’all are grasping at straws to justify it.
also the same applies to elendira (x knives) because of the super secret third legato flashback:
i won’t count this as proof for legato because tristamp (though a separate canon) kinda muddies it, but woah she’s not an adult. also irrelevant but knives was smiling at him 😞😞 i’d like to think he was nice to them at one point but this isn’t about that. the fact that people probably take this to fuel their millionsummers makes me very very sad.
back on topic though, there’s another side of the copium spectrum. i can’t believe i have to say this, but i’ve no joke seen people say that legato and knives were both teenagers when they met as if that makes any damn sense. the twins are both confirmed over 150 years old. in trimax, the july incident happened ten years by the date before the events of the last few volumes (cited in my last post), and legato doesn’t look all that different in the two flashbacks. and the flashbacks or any other evidence i could pull out my ass don’t even actually matter because knives is old as fuck and legato is obviously a normal human age. again, it’s just straw grasping bro so please give up 😭🙏
and if you don’t give a shit and loooove grooming mentally ill teenagers you pick up off the streets then fuck off?? you’re gross and legato would hate your ass. i probably have more to say but i can’t think of anything rn so that’s it for now. millionsummers is cringe and this fandom is a prison. but like a cartoon one where the bars have large enough gaps between them to walk through.
#knives is a certified emotionally unavailable father figure who beats his two kids on the daily y’all don’t get it#millionsummers makes me want to rip my eyes out#even if you make it purposely uncomfortable and don’t actually like it i still think that’s out of character for knives#idk how to put that into words tho#but also why#i wouldn’t ship either of them with anyone they just need therapy#trigun#trigun maximum#legato bluesummers#legato trigun#millions knives#knives millions#elendira the crimsonnail

Is iris plural? (Osdd, DID etc)
Probably, yeah! I’d like to take the opportunity to clarify tho- Angel is actually NOT an alter- she and Iris are one and the same, some days he just feels like a boy and others she feels like a girl, and prefers to be referred to accordingly uwu
I’m not confident enough in my knowledge of DID to heavily touch on it on my AU, but in his lonely years after Perry moved away I think it would make sense if Iris developed an alter to keep him company, and maybe a second one down the line somewhere, to mirror the two alters I HC canon Irep to have!
Here’s a bunch of doodles of the cannonical-yet-unnamed Alter Foop interacts with in the episode “spellementary school”! :3 (I’ve dubbed her “Kelly” after thier favorite musician Kelly Clarkson lmao)
His second alter, Doom, was designed by a mutual of mine! 🥰 @geezlaweasel
I had a fan episode idea w them, but I doubt I’ll ever do anything w it bc I worry the ‘evil alter’ fakeout w Doom I had planned would still be received poorly despite trying to subvert the stereotype ☠️😅

Please please please tell me all about your OCs. The clans are so interesting to me.
Also I was having a think about cardinalclans crown and maybe the feathers could be shaped and held in place by tree resin?
vibrating thank you thank you for the opportunity to babble endlessly, i've been having a lot of fun adapting everyone to a wc au!!!! i'll go over some additions + worldbuilding stuff i havent covered + character beats.
and ooohhh!! I like that a lot!!! definitely yoinking that. my idea is that there's some sort of a base crown structure compromised of twigs sort of weaved together, i like the idea that feathers being affixed with resin. also, while on the tangent of crowns-
for serpentclan's 'crown', i'm thinking some sort of flower thematically relevant to the leader. i was thinking something with water lilies but their invasive nature/strangling out other plants doesn't fit troutstar's vibe. probably sorrel or some sort of medicinal herb.
tempestclan definitely has some sort of antler covering, reminiscent of the antler queen from yellowjackets for tempeststar. kind of creepy to look at but adds to the "otherness" of him.
Okay, SO! Starting with some additional worldbuilding & lore-
(under cut)
There is a small abandoned town in the area where the Clans reside! I mentioned it in Smokestar's bio, but the fire that ravaged it was actually a major event for the animals who live there. The town was essentially abandoned, leaving a lot of left behind pets to either die or adapt.
It caused some huge friction between outsider cats and the Clans, with some being able to join the Clans while others were chased away.
The survivors who did stay were, naturally, traumatized, angry and struggling to coexist. A few cats came forward and kind of created an unofficial city group to help one another, some of the notable cats being Ozzy, his brother Jack, and a she-cat named Oracle.
The group isn't nearly as tight knit as it was during the aftermath of the fire but there's still a sense of camaraderie and community.
Back to the Clans, there's not really a 'warrior code' in this world, each Clan has their own laws with only a handful of them being universal (and even then each Clan interprets them differently): Kill only as allowed, a cat must want to join another Clan willingly (not kit stealing!), and something something make the Gods proud.
Speaking of the Gods, I'm kind of going back in forth whether or not they're real or not. Leaning to yes and just keeping their original characterization from the source material, very much inspired by the Greek Gods. They are not benevolent and kind, they are beings who do not see the mortal cats as equal. Their interests lie in expanding their own supporters in the afterlife.
The Clans worship nine Gods altogether: a God of death, a God of war, a God of the hunt and harvest, a God of beasts, a God of creation and art, a God of day, a god of night, and a god of weather (might change).
Each have varying followers within the Clans and varying lore, though there's some very popular mythology attached to each of them that have become canon to a lot of the cats in all Clans. Most popular ones are the God of Death and the God of War being lovers, where the War God incites violence to feed their mate's realm. The God of Day and the God of Night are bitter enemies who chase each other in a constant cycle, hence why day and night are always coming and dawn and sunset have streaks of red.
They each have their own various ways to be invoked but most common cats do not invoke the Gods themselves. Most of the time, that's considered like...using radiation to bake a cake, waaaayy too much firepower. Instead, you invoke daemons.
Daemons are essentially cats of the past who accrued such a legacy and immense of amount of respect that they are wildly believed to have joined the Gods' pantheons as lesser Gods/demigods, servants to the Gods. Obvious examples of Daemons are the Clans' founders while lesser ones would be notable healers and so on and so forth.
This applies also to cats have acquired a legacy due to their more...unfavorable actions. It's believed that a cat suffering from extreme misfortune may be being stalked by a trickster demon taking delight in their suffering.
tempestclan doesn't worship the pantheon, they believe in one god, the god of cats.
Uuuuh uh other misc notes: performances at the gatherings are pretty common, ranging from fights between cats of the clans (an act of kayfabe nowadays, most of the time they're trying to make a fun and enjoyable performance than seriously hurt each other) to big songs of the gods and even some tales from the elders.
Aaannnnd that's off the top of my head for lore stuff I want to touch on, I'll go through each Clan and make some notes on characters I haven't talked about as much/things not mentioned yet.
MustangClan Cats
Foxtrot is Fogstep's daughter, with her father being Ozzy! The two met and maintain a sort of fun open relationship. MustangClan doesn't have laws against their medic's having kittens. Foxtrot meets up with her father at least once a week and maintains a relationship with her half-sisters, Jinx and Marble.
Fogstep maintains the secret of Ozzy being her father, the only cat who knows is Bearstar who quietly tries to discourage Foxtrot from breaking the code to see her father. Foxtrot just got really good at sneaking off.
Foxtrot is...weird, has a morbid sense of humor that clashes with her upbeat and sweet demeanour. She doesn't necessarily buy a lot of MustangClan's values, but doesn't really have any interest in speaking out against them. She likes her family, her Clan, her friends, and her job.
She's close friends with Duskclaw, the two having grown up together with the latter being older. They're a funny pair to most cats: the no-nonsense deputy of MustangClan who once brawled her brother for the title of deputy and the breezy medic who couldn't care less about battles and honor. They just...work, offering each other a bit of freedom other cats can't.
She later meets Blightspirit and gets to know him, the two eventually bonding and getting together. Blightspirit joins MustangClan to be with her.
Duskclaw, as aforementioned, is the opposite. She's a brisk, stern, hardworking, and has a no-nonsense attitude that can sometimes rub cats the wrong way. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to achieve almost impossible expectations, and extends these expectations to those around her.
Her and her brother, Branchclimb, maintain a polite relationship in public, but don't talk in private. Their battle hurt their bond more than either thought it would, as it inadvertently put a dent in Branch's standing and reputation in the Clan. Duskclaw isn't sure how to fix it, or if it's even fixable.
This is turn put a strain on her relationship with her father, with Duskclaw, unconsciously, resenting the fact he put them in that situation to begin with. Bearstar's none the wiser to this.
Was once betrothed to Saugerleap in an attempt to make an alliance with SerpentClan, but that got thrown out the window when Saugerleap was discovered with Jaycall and Pikesnap went to tattle immediately lol Duskclaw was relieved, she really did not want to go through with it.
She does often cross paths with an interesting town cat named Omen who likes to tease her.
Mentioned before but they're close to Dawnstar and Sandstar's kits from travelling through their territory. They aren't as close as they used to be as apprentices but they still remain a friendly relationship.
SerpentClan Cats
Not too much on these guys?
Mainly it's just royal family drama with the Clan split between Saugerleap and Pikesnap inheriting the throne, with more of the Clan leaning to Pikesnap after Saugerleap's affair was revealed.
Still, his mellow attitude and interest in following his father's lead has earned him some support. SerpentClan likes avoiding conflict, they've been doing just fine with negotiating!
However, that doesn't mean there isn't a growing unrest. Negotiating means giving up something, the fact that Troutstar even entertains Bearstar isn't exactly a crowd pleaser. Pikesnap might be arrogant, but he's a cat who isn't afraid to tell someone off.
Maybe, some cats of SerpentClan think, that's exactly what the Clan needs. Enough playing nice with those warmongering fools, maybe a leader who can tell them to keep out of SerpentClan's territory is needed.
CoyoteClan Cats
Lots about Oxeyestar here. There was nothing special about him, he was picked because he was seen as an easy pawn.
I don't think he ever realizes he was being used or how much damage he caused. He dies outraged and arrogant that his own Clan would ever turn on him.
Mentioned before but Raindrop, one of the BoarClan's healers, was originally from CoyoteClan! She fled after she and two other apprentices were going to be brought up to TempestClan. They got split up and she ended up being taken in by BoarClan.
She does eventually return to her Clan when they chase out TempestClan's cats and kill Oxeyestar to act as their healer, but that doesn't happen for a while.
Mouseears and Speckleface are the two other apprentices that run, they live in the town for a bit before returning to try and overthrow things. Mouseears is the one that takes over as leader when Oxeyestar is killed in the revolt.
Mouse is...unnerving. They don't really break eye contact and have a really intense stare. They're deadpan and kind of monotone, quick to the point and definitely not interested in sparing anyone's feelings. Sometimes they don't even reply, just stare.
Speckleface is kind of the opposite, wears his emotions on his sleeve and you can tell fairly obviously what he's thinking at all times. He tries very hard to be brave, but can't always muster the courage to get feelings done.
When the three reunite, they cling to each other, glad each other's alive and well. They are the key leaders of the revolt, and Mouse and Rain work very closely to help repair their Clan.
Afterwards, there's some mixed ideas on how to go forward, with some cats wanting to return to being three Clans while others want to stick as one.
Mousestar and Raindrop have a lot of work ahead of them lol
BoarClan Cats
More about Dawnstar and Sandstar here. Fun fact about them is Sandstar actually orders elders and cats to "punch up" the story of Dawnstar defeating her parents in combat to take over as leader. Unfortunately, a cat in her prime managing to beat the shit out of two very old (if still very skilled) cats isn't as exciting as Dawnstar likes it to be (even if it is an impressive feat nonetheless).
They had two litters with Nightstride, Darkwater, and Dewleaf being part of the first and Lifeseeker and Jaycall being the only survivors of their second litter.
They are the most obnoxious parents to ever parent. Love their kids dearly, show an unfortunate amount of favoritism for them lol think Rainbow Dash's parents but five kids to gush over.
Nightstride is considered the eldest. He is massive, intimidating, and takes after his mother in terms of sheer prowess in battle. He is also awkward, horrible at eye contact, deadpan, and struggles to make friends outside his family. He and Raindrop actually get along and he's quite sad when she eventually returns to CoyoteClan, though he makes an effort to visit her.
Darkwater suffers from middle child syndrome. He's a bit angry and rowdy, but isn't necessarily bad. He just feels underappreciated in his work as one of the deputies. His siblings tease him a lot when he makes his melodramatic speeches about deserving respect and how he ought to get some acknowledgement for all he does! (He does the exact same amount of work as all of them do btw).
Dewleaf, who may I add finds her name very ill-fitting ("It's so...peaceful and saccharine. I deserve something cooler! Tougher! Like, uh...uh...Bloodslash or Tuskjaw!"), is rowdy and goofy. She loves staying out on the outskirts of the territory to go stargazing, just loves being on her own. Dewleaf was born with swimmer's syndrome and required some intervention during her kithood years. Nowadays she struggles with balance and can't really effectively climb or hunt, so she often helps out in camp or patrols. She definitely doesn't solo patrol just to flirt with Cranegaze, nuh-uh, would never.
More on Lifeseeker (and Mallardsong) here. His name came from a desperate plea from Dawnstar, renaming him from Turtlekit to Lifekit in hopes it would imbue the sickly kit with the strength to live. He finds the name soooo cringe and embarrassing.
Jaycall knew he wanted to be a healer at a young age, having been trained by the old healer before she passed away. He enjoys the job and the freedom it brings. He's a lot smoother with his words than the rest of his siblings, knows when to appease and when to challenge. He and Foxtrot get along, they're both more interested in their personal goals than any Clan values.
Raindrop does get along with the DawnSand family a lot, having been taken in by them when injured. They're sad to see her go and visit a lot, Nightstride, as mentioned before, visiting most often.
CardinalClan Cats
More on Swiftstar here.
To Cranegaze, Swiftstar's sister and next-in-line to take over as leader, there's something uncomfortable about the way the Clan quickly almost...deified their deceased parents. Hawkstar and Robinhop became martyrs, amazing cats who's lives were taken too soon.
It's so hard to listen to cats wax poetic about how Hawkstar was an exemplary leader, ahead of her time (she was fine, she hadn't done anything really that amazing) or how her father was prime example of a true CardinalClan warrior (he was...normal. Loyal, polite). It's hard when one was your mother who never had time for you and a father who snapped at you for little things.
They weren't terrible...but they certainly weren't the cats that the magistrates described them as. It's hard on Cranegaze, to watch their memory get distorted until they've become angels among cats, amazing beings who were taken too soon. It's hard to watch her own brother buy into it, to earnestly believe his parents were that stupendous, as if they didn't hurt him too.
She tries to keep their real memories alive through Mallardsong, who was a young kitten being reared by permaqueens in the nursery when their parents were killed.
Mallardsong, on the other paw, finds it hard to care. She doesn't really see anyone as her parents, just her siblings as her family, and even then that's enough family for her. She doesn't like talking to her older brother, she only knows Swiftstar, not the fun and adventurous apprentice he used to be.
She does start to reach out when he works at the negotiations though will immediately walk off the moment he tries to go Leader Mode and lecture her. She wants the brother Cranegaze says he was, not the bossy-fur he is now.
One idea i've been throwing around is one of the Magistrates, or a few of them, getting some cats to 'rough up' Mallardsong and pin it on BoarClan to cease negotations.
She's found bloodied and half-dead at the border at sunrise, with Lifeseeker being the prime suspect.
TempestClan
The drama clan lol where all the drama is going down!
Blightspirit, then named Harvestspirit, comes from a long line of esteemed saints. He and his brothers, Ptarmiganmarch and Graylion, begun training at a young age while his sister, Storrmrunner, was excluded.
The four of them were a miracle litter, with TempestClan cats often only having surviving litters of one and two. It's custom that kits don't even receive their names until apprenticehood due to the high mortality rates for kits.
Their parents, Sheepfall and Cariboucall, had a...tense relationship. Sheepfall was a loner who was taken in and cared for after being found half-dead, and was essentially pressured to stay. She had an arranged mateship with Cariboucall, one of the more devout Saints of TempestClan.
I plan on making a post on this family soon so I'll try not to repeat too much of what's going be on there buuuutt-
Sheepfall is a spy for Wolf's rebellion and loops Stormrunner into joining her. Sheepfall always has a Situationship with Wolf that only becomes fully realizes after TempestClan is taken down. She is extremely touch averse and struggled for a while with physical contact, eventually she's able to sleep by Wolf.
Stormrunner was overlooked for being smaller and having a speech impediment (stutter). However, she's got an eye for detail and a natural curiosity. She later goes on to become a "wanderer", leaving the territories to see what else the world has to offer.
Ptarmiganmarch and Graylion are similar to Tempeststar, seeing through the facade of the Saints but wanting the power offered to them. They're very angry when Harvest is picked instead to become the first successor.
Tempted to have Harvest be renamed just to drive in how much he is being isolated and groomed into inheriting this role. The Saints thrive on his desire to please him, rewarding him with special titles and special treatment.
Cariboucall is the only surviving Saint when TempestClan is destroyed. He lives an isolated life, with two dead sons, an ex-mate that hates his guts, and two living children who don't ever want to see him. He gave his life to his God, and all he got in return was loneliness. He thinks about it a lot.
Tempeststar and Cariboucall were childhood friends and, while their jobs have made them change, they are still close. Tempeststar loved hanging out with the kits and is heartbroken when they stop wanting to chill with him later on.
Thing to note about Tempest is that he's given opportunity after opportunity to do right and he will never take them. He never connects this as to why his niece and nephews don't like being around him anymore.
Wolf, originally named Wolfhowl, was a Warrior of TempestClan. However, she lead a revolt to try and overthrow the Saints, resulting in her nearly being executed by them and her and her supporters being forced to flee. Their rebellion is small at first, but eventually they go down to live in the town and make friends.
Wolf is passionate, something who deeply believes in her values, sometimes to the point it blinds her of her options. She is someone with so many feelings that it sometimes overwhelms her. But she is earnest and that earnestness has earned her a tight following, one that believes in the destruction of TempestClan as much as she does.
Atheist, doesn't believe in any Gods.
She's poly, with her own little cluster of lovers, including Sheepfall. They all have a tight knit bond, with some also having relationships with each other while some are only in relationships with Wolf.
i vomited out everything i thought was relevant lol lots of characters!! too many characters perhaps, but that's the fun part of all this to me, seeing where they all fit and how they changed. thank you so so much for asking about them!!! i had a ton of fun typing this all out
#wc fanclans#warrior cats#warrior cats ocs#clans of the pantheon#<- new tag for them#i wanna try and make more art. rn im doing the sheep/caribou fam#got kind of messy at the end? i'll clean it up later#but here's some general ideas!!

//Hellers still going on about “Watching Over Me” being about Cass. Claiming Jensen confirmed it in a meet and greet. It’s funny they never have video proof beyond, “Misha said it”.//
I was at that M&G, well hellers have probably claimed he says this at every M&G, but I was at A M&G where an idiotic heller asked if Jensen had written a song about Castiel. Jensen laughed at the idea. The rest of the people present rolled their eyes so loud you could practically hear it. Heller took that as confirmation and ran. She also took JA avoiding answering because the show was still in progress if some stupid destiel related shit (I can’t rember the exact question anymore, thankfully) was going to happen in the Winchesters. She full on dominated the conversation, heard what she wanted to hear, ignored actual answers and common sense, and ran with it, telling everyone her lies as soon as the M&M&G was over. We also had to sign. NDA's, so she’s an untrustworthy little bitch who broke the rules immediately, aw well as a liar.
Thanks for the report of what happened (at least that time), anon!
The thing is, we know they're delusional liars. We've seen it even when they can be easily fact checked. These fuckwits have tried to lie about what's been said in main panels before, either by 100% making shit up or just trying to sell hilariously stupid misinterpretations and wild fantasized projections of the meaning they want to hear. (DestieI is real? Where is it real?! Totes just Jensen upset people can't see the obvious and telling them to look harder because it's everywhere!!!) These are panels with a large room full of mixed fans where there is almost always someone making a recording. And yet they lie and assert blatantly brainless reinterpretations as fact that obviously don't represent what was actually directly said.
Like, is it a desperation to have the attention from other hellers for the five metaphorical minutes before the videos come out? Do they delude themselves into thinking if they just build enough enthusiasm online for the lies, the actors will totes have to change their opinions because it's popular (since drowning in the heller bubble always makes them ignore the GA and the entire rest of fandom exist)? Do they figure if they get their bullshit out fast enough it will get added to the list of heller "proof" and they just don't care only other gullible hellers will buy it? They do genuinely seem to think if they just come up with a long enough list of batshit nonsense - no matter how blatantly false, specious, and outright absurd it all is to anyone not in the cult - the world will have to validate them!! Uh, no.
So yeah, it only picks up an extra degree of absurdity when they make uncheckable claims about what Jensen said in a supposed-to-be confidential M&G or other relatively private interaction. Like, I wasn't there, so I can't objectively know if your story of what happened in that M&G is true either. But unlike theirs? It actually lines up with every other public, recorded, verifiable reaction Jensen has ever had to the idea of that ship being canon or something he has interest in. The level of self-delusion to carry on as if that doesn't matter is just ...

life is slightly kinder in this au and therefor having kinky vampire sex is NOT a bad thing she deserves to be crucified for!! big wins for the buffster. (#normal again is such an interesting ep because i dont hc buffy as feeling any shame about these relationships but i think the psych ward#that alternate buffy is in would pathologize and shame her SO MUCH for having poly queer vampire relationships. lmaoooooo though this has me laughing a bit. yeah omg psych!buffy would be losing her SHIT)
I like that you include xander onto that list of people buffy would be open with. surprised me a bit but honestly now that we're not dealing with a xander that had to watch angel and buffy date in high school yeah he probably wouldn't be such an ass about her vampire lovers. xander is her best friend, he would get to know. anya would know bc she's downright nosy, and, hey, a bit of gossip is always fun, even when the gossip is just you talking about yourself. anya would totally be fun to talk to, and honestly probably informative for buffy. jenny!! oh my god I've said this before that I don't think giles should've been their only trusted adult and I'm just now realizing like JENNY JENNY HELP THEM!!!!! thank god for jenny. I don't think buffy would talk with her but yeah jenny would know that makes sense to me. and love tara she would totally know the most bc for some reason buffy and tara just really seem to connect over topics that no one else would get
now willow is interesting. she SHOULD be someone buffy can turn to, because it's been willow and buffy since the beginning, but she's not. I loveeeee love love love how you described about willow's reaction to buffy finding just a bit of fucking happiness in her relationships. and jenny's reaction to willow. so good so good
#**ALSO it is real to me that xander and anya have their wedding planned out as per canon and then instead of breaking up they elope#to vegas. and then shortly after being married they separate and the plot continues much the same as canon only they are semi-divorced
OWWW you're still breaking them up? I mean I'm glad we're not having xander walk out on anya because that was ATROCIOUS behaviour from mr loyal over there and I couldn't believe my eyes watching that episode, but ouchie. but also I think this is potential for funnies. it'd still work with their dynamic now that xander didn't leave her in a god-awful way
spuffsilla dynamic oooo oo oo oo. the scene where riley finds them being even worse thanks to dru also being antagonistic is amazing. cause yeah no they should be actually fuck that guy get your kicks in you silly vampires. but also, buffy is NOT appreciating it. still unhealthy but not as bad as canon..... yeah I can take that. as long as we're not talkin buffy's fun fisticuffs and spike's misery manipulation I'm down. also duh it's rough buffy's bored without at least a little bit of a fight somewhere in there whether that's just in the sex or part of the relationship itself. I mean doesn't have to be abusive but she needs to be challenged and spike and dru will CERTAINLY give her one
GAH?! omgggg the scenes with angel are melting meeee. ofccc angel would get all I don't think I'm good for you :( good on buffy reminding him that's silly stupid. sooo cute.
and darla, ha! <3 wonderful wonderful. buffy would totally sputter and snap about it, until spike and dru get in their claims too. gotta let everyone know that girl is TAKEN! I think angel would be too embarrassed to kiss her like that in public but he makes up for it in private. beginning of the infamous vampire harem indeed
theres an au somewhere in which the romani spellcaster that curses angelus doesnt just curse angelus, but rather curses every vampire of the aurelian line in a, say, twelve mile radius to get their soul back.
it's rough, especially for the first few years. spike's the weepiest, but angel takes it the hardest, oddly enough. dru's absolutely nutty over it, but she's always nuts, and anyway, having the three of them to wrangle gives darla something to focus on other than the weight of her sins. they manage.
(one thing she does is research what, exactly, has been done to them. when she finds out about the loophole - even a moment's happiness - there is a gut-lurching second where darla thinks to herself, i can end our agony. and then she thinks of her last kill, a young couple and their toddler. the father had begged darla to spare the little child's life, to take him instead. the mother had clawed at darla, covering her child with her body, screaming as she died.
rather than find that moment's happiness, darla begins new research, looking into ways to secure an immortal soul to a vampire's body permanently. closing the loop, as it were.)
spike eventually gets it into his head that he wants to do the slayer thing - not kill them, like he'd planned, but to help the poor girls. dru gives him the idea. angel leaves them, at that point, in the dead of night, without telling them where he's going. darla lets him go.
there's a girl in peking - xin, her name is, and she's understandably skeptical, but she accepts their help. they fight with her until she dies, a few months later, at the hands of an apocalypse. it breaks spike and dru quite badly - cuts spike's face up, too. darla gets them out, gets them back to europe. leaves them in italy. looks for angel.
she finds him eating rats in new york city, of all places. she shakes some sense into him and gets him some clean clothes, some blood, a place to sleep out of the sun. he's wallowing, which is to be expected, but how does he figure he's going to atone for his sins if he's rotting in the gutter like so much trash?
she's too practical, he tells her. he's too fucking dramatic, she tells him, and makes him eat some more pig's blood, cold.
darla tells him about spike and dru, what they've been up to these past few decades. he shudders when she tells him about xin, her throat ripped out by enemy fangs. angel's intrigued by the concept of helping slayers, but he confesses quietly to darla that he's not ready for that yet.
so they part ways again, with the understanding that they'll stay in touch. darla bounces around the americas, running into spike and dru - sometimes just dru, as spike is off chasing rumors of slayers - until the late 1990s, when she gets a call from angel.
angel's found a girl, and he wants to get the gang back together.
#YAY I've weaseled my way into ur au#quite frankly I just like buffy/whirlwind I couldn't resist adding my own thoughts I'm simply glad they're wanted#spuffsilla is my specialty that I adore but I do very much enjoy all of them#if you. couldn't. tell. somehow. that my focus may unintentionally be on spuffsilla dynamics in particular. lol#I'm just now noticing but I don't think we've mentioned giles like at all since my first response#giles where r u.... honestly what is there to even mention I think we both have an idea of how he plays out but also giles!!!#I keep thinking of how s7 would go honestly and ohhh my heart. I think it'd be so goddamn SWEET#now that we're not dealing with seeing red fallout and they're already in a relationship? yeah. it'd be sweet seeing them as a united force#!!! the potentials seeing them. I think faith would certainly have some of them prepared but the newbies from the watchers? eek!#AHHHH this is soooo fun#angel btvs#spike btvs#drusilla btvs#darla btvs#buffy summers#btvs#buffy the vampire slayer

pseudo-incorrent quotes from Sofia the First (inspired by @a-lilac-lyric's post on the many scenarios regarding the Wishing Well and Amber and James' birth:
|||
King Roland II: Wishing Well, we wish for Lorelei's current pregnancy to go through all the way to the end and for our children to be born healthy. Queen Lorelei (sitting on the stone bench close by): Please. We'll give anything for that.
King Roland: Yes. We'll give anything.
(Time skip.)
King Roland II: It was you, wasn't it? You took Lorelei. Why?
Wishing Well: You both said you'd give anything for her pregnancy to go through to the end and your children to be born healthy.
|||
(Yes, I admit I don't look very fondly upon the Wishing Well, and think it's deliberately engineered so that any of the wishes upon it have the greatest possible likelihood of inflicting lasting harm in the long run, with it only making an exception for any 'bait wishes' it decides to grant to tempt the wisher into using the follow-up actually bad ones.
And I admit, this is the theory I follow for my AU. Credit goes to @a-lilac-lyric for coming up with it, and my thanks also go to her for allowing me to use it.)
#sofia the first#king roland ii#queen lorelei#headcanon#well#not sure how much of a headcanon it is#given it's actually for my fanfic AU that is incompatible with canon in many ways#though the incompatibility is more on the Elena of Avalor side#but I still think it makes sense for actual canon#tales of the ever realm au

I think these designs are still gonna soft change as I draw them. thats fine we have fun#drawing sophomore year bard!riz for those comiclets was fun as hell. I think on this factor alone I call it a success lol

How far did you get? (Patreon)
#My art#Handplates#UT#Gaster#Frisk#A DBZA incorrect quote technically - it's just such a raw line#Even what it's in reply to kinda works in this context! ''What exactly changed between you in the future and now?'' Time travel nonsense#It feels real weird to have a piece fully finished in black and white and have that be Correct lol#I am So pleased with the composition of this ♥#Gaster vertical and the human horizonal! Gaster confined and the human-#Hint: He's not looking at Frisk#Gaster being able to see Zarfox consistently is very interesting to me#Or rather - that bit makes sense lol he got as far as he could within the confines of his world and understanding#It's still cool how much he can actually see tho - understand? Interpret? Hard to pin down and define haha#What Sans is able to see doubly interests me - he got some but just glimpses! Different from - I assume - Gaster's consistent sight#Poor Papyrus being left out haha#It's been a while since I've drawn a Vessel - weird to think about Frisk in that context haha#It's accurate! Just weird ♪#I am so in love with Gaster's post-Void design <3 The fact that his lineart is ''canon'' - however you want to phrase it just ughgjkdslafd#Any instance of The Medium being drawn attention to down to its format and details gives me the zoomies lol#Visual representation of the unfathomable! It's so cool!!#And the fact that at the Very least Gaster suspects just how limited his viewpoint is - is phased in and out of it - what he assumes is real#He knows that even with everything that makes him up now - the threads of the multiverse! - it's still so much bigger than he can understand#''More than I thought'' - and then actually getting to talk with some/thing/one(s) that make up at least a sliver of that Bigger#''Less than you'd think'' - like moving a grain of sand that contains a universe on the beach of infinity#Hghhh it's cool <3
