I think the fact that Mephone4s is based off of the terminator is really interesting considering it’s canon in universe.

Like, Mephone4s mentions that Cobs based him off of some incredible old movies that he liked, which means that an object version of the terminator movies exist in the ii universe.

But is Mephone4s aware that he was specifically based off of the terminator? Or is he only aware that he was based off of some old movies Cobs liked, but doesn’t know the specific ones?

Has he ever had the chance to watch any of the terminator movies himself? If he has, what does he think of them? What does he think of the terminator?

Is he aware that his personality, who he is as a person, isn’t truly original?

I have no clue if I've mentioned this before, but one of the things that hurts me the most is wondering if Yin-Yang was inspired by 4S and Mephone himself. With the twist and all, it puts their duality in a different lens. 4S and Mephone, brothers of a weird sort who always argue with each other and compete to be 'the best' in wacky and unconventional ways... Red and Blue, opposites of each other, in personality AND in colour... There's NO WAY that, when making Yin-Yang, Mephone wasn't subconsciously referencing 4S and his dynamic.

Say what you want about the twist, but I think it makes these things soooo much more interesting now that we can view everything from the lens of 'this is Mephone projecting hard onto his creations' LOL -2G Anon

I’ve seen a lot of people say that mephone3gs might become the new CEO of meeple after cobs died but i just ??? can’t really see that happening ?? Maybe he and mephone4 would come back to save all of the other meeplings (thatwould be a cool storyline actually….) but I can’t imagine that 3gs ever would want to be assosiated with meeple anymore, let alone run the company after everything he’s been through

i think 3gs would like to wear sweaters! mephone on the other hand would wear tshirts w like stupid phrases on it (i have a doodle of him wearing one that says “I AM COMPLETELY NORMAL I AM NOT INSANE I HAVE NO DESIRE TO HARM ANYONE I AM NOT CARRYING A WEAPON”)

i usually draw 3gs with long hair & i think she’d like to tie it up into a ponytail. .also she/her 3gs and any pronouns mephone these robots are TRANS!

Blue anon IM SHAKING YOU for bringing up the repairs thing because OH MY GOSHHHH. I've spoken a little bit about this before but I think the mephones, with time, will probably begin to break down and need repairs, and that finding anyone who CAN repair them is going to be extremely difficult and also probably traumatizing. I mean, theres already a good bit of body horror in the whole idea of having to have your internals replaced-- But especially with their history at Meeple? OUFFFF.

And you have to consider also that Mephone and 3GS were made to be tools, and Cobs probably stopped building them to last after awhile. You only need a tool for so long till it becomes outdated. The fact that 3GS is still functional though probably means his components aren't entirely dead yet, which is a hopeful sign! But whether or not they'll last for much longer is. Concerning.

In the same vein that Mepad couldn't be revived because replacing his internals would've required changing who he was as a person-- Like messing with his memory / motherboard in any way... There will come a time where Mephone and 3GS are irreparable. And due to their technological nature that end might come sooner then most of the contestants' will. Especially if they DO get another revival center.

I mean, how many times can you swap bodies... Move your software... Until it becomes unfeasible? traumatizing, even, to wake up in a body that is not your own? To have your organs swapped again and again and again... Technology is hypothetically immortal, if you can keep replacing it, but everything stops working eventually. And they will too. Hopefully they'll be together in the end. -2G Anon

With the way 3GS seems to lose power in the closet, only to have more power again later, I wonder if Meeple can recharge by sleeping. Would also explain how MePhone and MePad can do okay when they don't have any power sockets nearby to charge themselves.

Plugging themselves in to charge is probably the fastest way to do so, but also leaves them tethered to a wall. Sleep mode is slower, but makes use of periods of inactivity when they don't need to do anything.

Also had the thought of MePhone's ability to eat: Cobs probably gave him that ability as an alternate means of recharging himself, so he could charge while not either being tethered to a wall or being unconscious. He'd probably been thinking more of giving MePhone energy bars or something to keep him working for longer periods. But he hadn't counted on this giving MePhone an actual appetite/food cravings, which is why he's so annoyed when MePhone activates and immediately asks for snacks.

Might also explain MePhone's sweet tooth! Cobs can make machines but he might not be quite as knowledgeable about actual biology and nutrition, so he probably just went with the assumption that sugars are a quick source of energy (which, they can be, but they also lead to fatigue), so he might've programmed MePhone with a preference for those, not realizing the longer-lasting consequences of it.

MePhone4S’s favourite color is pink

MePhone4 likes drinking from those little juice carton boxes over glass cups cause they won't shatter and they're hard to spill. MePhone drops things a lot so the spilling thing is a big deal to them actually

MePhone3GS would create stories when he was stuck in the closet. It was what kept him remotely sane

MePhone3GS also was given a phone case for his mission to the shimmers. He lost and broke it though :(

MePhone4 dislikes fireworks

I wonder if before each season premiered, MePhone experimented with putting other stereotypes on the characters

Like maybe making Soap the chronically sick one and Cheesy the jock

Or making Paintbrush the scientist and Test Tube the super II fan

Or even making Sliver the proper psychic and having Candle be his pupil

Maybe that’s why during the “Karma Waits” interview section, you can see some of the contestants saying “Why did you make me like this?”

Meeple indirectly made me spend all non-stop day yesterday researching about the Lenovo tech company and it's product brands (especially ThinkPad and Motorola smartphones). All because i thought it would be cool to make an object oc based on my own smartphone... just like II...

Now i sit here, with a bunch of paragraphs on a notepad document and images i found on google maps, completely devastated. I haven't even done the character yet.

Seen a lot of people say that they think after ii18 mephone4 would go have this or that job and this post isn't to put them down I'm just contributing my answer.

For a long while after the finale, mephone has nothing at all to do. Going back to meeple still makes them feel sick to their stomach, even if Cobs is now dead. The man who controlled it all now being no longer here doesn't mean that the memories and feelings aren't still there. So, they'd try something different. Maybe they could go to town and find something to do there, except that probably wouldn't work either. The public don't see mephone as who they are, the public just sees them as a product of meeple. Like how cobs sees them, but with some differences. To regular people, MePhone is just the property of some highly intelligent man who went missing. They wouldn't care enough and regardless I doubt anybody would be willing to give a literal robot a job. MePhone doesn't have any money either, and they lost all their generation abilities so they can't just make some on the spot. I do think that mephone going to try and mingle in with society would be bad not only for these reasons but also because things like drugs and alcohol and those kind of stuff aren't really a massive stretch for mephone, especially at their current state after the finale.

I don't know what else mephone would do. They'd probably be too terrified to go back to the contestants, not to mention they wouldn't want to trouble them with their presence after everything that happened. They also know that most wouldn't want to see them, and possibly think that none of them want to.

I might write a fic on this actually except most of the time I give up on my fics after like chapter 2. Oh well
