Childhood And Nostalgia

Nostalgia hits me when I cook. When I was a kid I used to cook as a healing therapy.

My mother never taught me how to cook, maybe it was just built in me that I saw my mother doing so much for us and cooking and baking everything at 🏠 and I use to see her and learn it all. @harshkhurana1968 I am thankful for her efforts as a mother for me and bhai.👨 It is not easy to do everything.

Being a mother is the most underrated job in the world. 🌍 but all my energies and immune system which I have today are just because she cooked for us and never ever she wanted us to eat outside food and that is what I am trying to do for my toddler 👼 in the world where people eat momos and street food let’s all try and stop that and instead eat home cooked simple dishes 🥙🗃️

✨Full Disclosure ✨ I’m actually very disappointed in this series of pictures... A peaceful, morning sun lit scene from our teeny kitchen basking in the glorious deliciousness of #veganwaffles (recipe courtesy of @elenoreearth ). But I couldn’t salvage one shot out of the dozens we’ve got that I was truly happy with. On this one, all I can see is that stupid plug I was too forgetful to cover up with the chopping boards. And now I’ve also got a decapitated orchid thanks to Instagram’s non negotiable cropping. But that’s ok, that’s real life and this breakfast was delicious and enjoyed in good company. So here’s to an imperfect little photo to celebrate life’s little imperfections! 🥰 . ✨Complète honnêteté ✨ Je suis réellement très déçue par cette série de photos... une scène douce et paisible baignée de lumière matinale et notre mini cuisine remplie de l’odeur des gaufres fraîches. Mais sur les douzaines de photos prises, aucune ne me satisfait. Sur celle ci, tout ce que je parviens à distinguer est cette idiote de prise que je n’ai pas eu la présence d’esprit de couvrir à l’aide des planches à découper. In telgu Dibba means fat or stout, so basically it's a fat bread or roti but the texture & taste is not like a regular bread loaf. It's crispy and crusty on top & soft from inside. The crust on top is so delectable in taste. Basically it's prepared with the batter of rice and urad daal. Here am using my homemade Idli Dosa batter to make this dish.
