first thing i wanna touch on is STOP checking on ppl that no longer have space in ur life. its just so stagnant and useless like why do u care? if u have enough time to check on someone from YEARSS ago (especially if this someone did u wrong) then ur wasting time that u won't get back. go spend ur time on something useful like affirming.
i feel like this also encompasses not trying to change people. respect a person for who they are -> not what u hope they will become. dont be friends or get into a relationship with someone for potential because they won't grow and evolve unless they WANT to. if ur thinking "oh just give them time, they have potential" or "they'll change, they won't keep hurting and disregarding my feelings" then ur just wasting ur time.
ALSO it doesnt matter if ur excuse is that you've known each other for a long time, ur allowed to leave relationships, situationships, friendships that no longer serve you its YOUR life. ur 100% allowed.
LEARN URSELF ;
by becoming aware of what u value, what triggers you, ur boundaries etc you can stay true to that and protect urself better. something that u can do to help you to learn yourself + how to protect urself is
make a list of things that u LIKE or are OKAY with. things that make u feel good. then make a list of things that make u feel bad and things that u don’t like…💬🎀
stay true to that list. when u understand urself and ur triggers u can protect urself better. live privately because what ppl don’t know they can’t ruin. not everyone has to know ur business, which leads me to my next point.

dont put ur business out there for everyone ALL the time. privacy is power and the more private u are the less people will have to try and sabotage u because not everyone wants the best for you. when u tell everyone everything that makes you vulnerable and vulnerability can be good when building meaningful relationships and connections, you should NOT be vulnerable with every single person.
USE UR INTUITION ;
what u can't immediately sense YOUR BODY CAN. thats why we have things like gut feelings and hunches that often times are correct. ur intuition is like, everything that u know or have experienced subconsciously that u might not be able to recollect quickly, but ur body can. thats why its there.

sometimes I like to reframe the finale of Shadowbringers not as "descend into the villain's lair to confront him" but "attend a theater production at a stage in the depths of the ocean". and the battle with Emet-selch not "stalwart hero triumphantly defeats evil sorcerer" but "dying wanderer reminds grieving old man he can never go home". ShB plays with ideas of hero and villain so much that it feels natural to break things out of the framework of heroic battles and victories
I do like to think of rescuing the Exarch as a fairy-tale-like "save the fair maiden from the grasp of the evil sorcerer and carry her back to the tower (not the way it usually goes, typically maidens are rescued from magic towers), where you then live happily-ever-after together" though

HYPERFEMININITY- is it for me?
i thought i'd make this post based off of a message i've received from a follower (choosing to stay anonymous) because its been brought to my attention that lots of people struggle with this.
i know lots of girls people struggle with wanting to be seen as feminine because we're girls. but you don't have to be the pink wearing, prissy, feminine, high maintenance girl to come off as feminine. i know a lot of people think so, but that is completely wrong.
this all requires for you to be totally 100% honest with yourself so here's some questions to ask yourself:

who am i doing this for?
lots and lots of people (including myself at some point) tend to do things for others. whether its to fit in with a certain group of people, wanting attention, male validation, and numerous other things i could name. so always make sure you're doing everything for you and you only because not everyone is gonna like you, not matter what you do.
do i like this out of admiration or aspiration?
knowing the difference between the two is key if you you want to know whether or not you actually like hyperfemininity or just admire it when you see it.
this is topic is also all about self discovery and finding your own niche in life. if you are struggling to find just that, i may make a post on it if any of you would be interested 🙈

emotional intelligence
emotional intelligence is your ability to perceive, understand, manage and use your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict. it involves a set of skills that help you recognise, understand, and influence the emotions of yourself and others.
the key components of emotional intelligence are self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. emotional intelligence is considered a critical factor for success in life because it helps you navigate social complexities, lead and motivate others, and excel in your personal and professional life. some experts suggest that emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened, while others believe it is an innate characteristic.
an example of emotional intelligence in action is the ability to approach situations in a healthy, curious manner rather than an angry frustrated one. instead of reprimanding when someone is not acting according to standard, you can ask the person if everything is okay and listen attentively, understanding that there can be external factors affecting the other's behaviour.
by managing your emotions, and remaining calm and supportive during similar conversations, you can create a safe space for the other person to open up, and solve issues without further drama or difficulties. after you learn the change in their behaviour, you can offer support and adjust your actions to accommodate for the other persons needs.
if everyone practised a little more emotional intelligence, the world would wholly be a better place.
but let me stress this: emotional intelligence does not in any way mean changing yourself so other people can operate better. it is not being nice, it is having empathy and awareness.
let's further explore the different aspects of emotional intelligence:
self-awareness: the ability to recognise your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behaviour.
self-regulation: being able to manage your emotions and adapt to challenging circumstances.
motivation: to harness emotions to stay focused on your personal goals.
empathy: the ability to understand the emotions of others and respond appropriately.
social skills: to be able to build and maintain good relationships through effective communication and conflict resolution.
i already touched on misunderstanding emotional intelligence as simply being nice, but there are several common mistakes that can hinder emotional intelligence.
high emotional intelligence can sometimes be used manipulatively, influencing others without considering their best interests. this is not right! while manipulation may yield immediate results, it can have long-term negative consequences. it creates a toxic environment, hinders genuine connection and stifles growth. not to mention that depending on the context, manipulative behaviour can have legal consequences and lead to social ostracism.
emotional intelligence requires openness and vulnerability, and being too guarded can prevent the development of meaningful relationships. being guarded limits self-awareness, which is a key component of emotional intelligence. it does this by not allowing you to fully acknowledge or understand your own emotions.
to end on a more positive note, here is how you can build stronger emotional intelligence:
practice active listening: pay attention to what others are saying without interrupting. listen to understand, not just to respond.
emotional awareness: acknowledge your emotions, especially the uncomfortable ones. accept them as a normal part of life and learn from them.
identify emotions within others: pay attention to body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions to better understand how others are feeling.
understand your stressors: know what triggers your stress and build strategies to manage it. this can help you to remain calm and clear-headed in challenging situations.
healthily channel your emotions: find constructive outlets for your emotions, such as exercise, meditation, or creative activities. engaging in creative tasks allows for contemplation, giving you the space to reassess problems in your life and make plans.
develop empathy: try to see things from others' perspectives. empathy builds connection and trust.
improve social skills: work on communication, conflict resolution and cooperation. these skills are vital for building strong relationships.
self-regulation: learn to control impulsive feelings and behaviours. pause and think before acting. self-regulation leads to better decision-making and letting you avoid impulsive reactions that you might regret later. it enables you to handle pressures and challenges effectively.
self-reflection: regularly reflect on your behaviour and emotions. ask yourself why you do the things you do and how you can improve.
seek feedback. be open to constructive criticism and use it as a means to grow. ask trusted friends or colleagues for their honest opinions about your behaviour.
remember that emotional intelligence is not fixed; it can be developed and enhanced over time with practice and commitment. by focusing on these areas of improvement, you can increase your emotional intelligence, improving your interactions and relationships in all areas of life.

What is "living in the end"?
Living in the end is literally believing that you already have what you want. You start to interpret and live as the person that you want to be. Living in the end is the most simple thing to do, but sometimes people struggle with simple things, so we articulate them in different ways. and as our thoughts go on and on, we lose what we were meant to do. 
How to live in the end?
To live successfully in the end, you have to understand that "in the end," you are not waiting for your desires because your desires are already yours. It is as simple as this: and still people can have and do have a hard time doing it. So why is it  so easy? We do this because we want our desires to come true. When living in the end, there is no more "trying to manifest" or "waiting/hoping that I manifest this." There is simply "I already have it."

How do I become the person I want to be?
Another reason we might fail to live in the end is because we don't really have in mind who we want to be yet, or we simply imagine our best selves. If you want to add some spice or to better articulate your thoughts about who you want to become, here's what you have to do (in a creative way):
step 1: create a pinterest board.
As I said before when I explained the vision board method, we can use Pinterest boards as an always-updated vision board. In this case, we are going to do a Pinterest board dedicated to what your higher self should save and like. This is for starting a mental switch—a catalyst to start changing. 
step 2: identifie the habits
This is to start to identify how we act versus how our higher selves act. Some habits are a real struggle to eliminate, but recognizing and acknowledging them can be of great help. If you like to read, I suggest Atomic Habits. It is a great book on how to get rid of bad habits and how to implement new ones.
step 3: ask yourself questions!
What does she, he, or they eat?
Will she, he, or they act in this situation?
What habits will she, he, or they have?
What is she/he/them doing in their free time?
Where does she, he, or they work?
What is her, his, or their outlook on life?
and so go on, and you can adapt to every situation by asking yourself things like, "How will they react?" etc.

wednesday, may 1, 2024 | day 31/60
i observed some symptoms of depression in my thoughts/feelings. kinda panicked but i did some calming activities to cope. at least now, i have the skills to look after myself and seek support. notes to self—i don’t need to reason out my thoughts. i can let them be as they are (they’re temporary and out of my direct control) and focus on self regulating (which is in my direct control). my body is calling out for nourishment and renewal—i am seeing to it.
habit tracking 🪨 academics: reviewed and did some prep for the system i’ll be following for my upcoming classes fitness: 45 min/~2.3 miles on treadmill spiritual growth: guided meditation, journaled, prayed

maintains fresh breath. poor oral hygiene can cause bad breath (halitosis). brushing your teeth, and tongue, and using mouthwash can help keep your breath fresh.
reduces the risk of systemic diseases. there is a strong link between oral health and overall health. poor oral hygiene can contribute to conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections.
saves money. preventive care is often less expensive than treating dental problems. regular check-ups and cleanings can help catch issues early before they become more serious and costly.
so, let's look at some key practices to help maintain your smile.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ brush your teeth twice a day. use fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush. brush for at least two minutes, making sure to clean all surfaces of your teeth.
