I’m mary, and hopefully I’m here today, to wake the fuck up of you dolls, you and your kind, sunshiny tender souls.

Be aware of your surroundings, not everybody is your friend. just because they smile at you, that don't mean they love you, and i think we all know that.

So let's step into a deeper lever of secret animosity…✎ᝰ

౨ৎ A frienemy usually approachies you because she (౨ৎ or HE why not? but lets keep the "she") sees something that she admire in you, your look, your style, your personality, including the way you talk and express yourself.

That admiration can turn really quick into envy, back handend compliments, energy sucking, boy crazy, external validation, copycat, slow identity stoling.

౨ৎ Step one don't fall into the mindset of being a treat to your frienemy, and trying to prove it to her.

The beef is one sided, its okay to rassicure a real friend and make them feel loved, but with this type of people is not the case. it can quicly turn into gaslighting.

౨ৎ Its not your responsability (you don't own them shit) to make them feel good about themeselves (just because you look a perfect glazed donut!) when they're around you just to study and take notes about your life.

౨ৎ They’re professional haters and waiters for a good sabotage moment.

Serena is asleep, finally.

Blair watches her for a minute, her mouth open and graceless, her blonde hair all tangled, body sprawled atop the sheets. She wants to hate her.

She’s still beautiful, even like this. Golden and shining. She makes Blair understand the lure of sirens, makes her understand Paris and Menalaus and a thousand ships launched for a single face.

Blair wants to hate her.

For making her like this, for making her trouble like this, for being more than she could ever be so easily.

And she loves Serena instead, and hates herself and everyone else and especially Georgina fucking Sparks.

She works Serena’s shoes off gently. The straps leave red marks behind.

They go near the door, lined up evenly.

Her jacket is picked up, inspected from collar to hem. It’s dark blue and gossamer fine. Blair had bought it for Serena’s last birthday. Thankfully, there are neither mysterious stains nor ones she’s long since learned to place, only the vague stench of alcohol.

Serena smells like it herself, enough that Blair doesn’t want to leave her but refuses to share the bed.

She sighs, checks the time, and settles in for an early morning.

Blair’s finally asleep.

She’ll be pissed when she wakes up. She’d been crying. At least she washed her makeup off first.

Serena fumbles around behind herself for a tissue and tries to wipe her face off some, but Blair flinches at the touch, skin clearly sensitive. She gives up, not wanting her to wake.

The tissue is tossed away, because it would be a lot more effort and risk to untangle herself. The ambient light coming blueish through the windows is enough to see that it makes it into the trash, thank God.

It’s enough to see Blair by, too. Her skin looks strange and luminous in the night, like something out of a fairy tale.

Serena wonders why, exactly, it is that no one else seems to see these things in Blair, the ones that seem so stupidly point blank obvious to her. She wishes Blair could, a little selfishly—playing this game can be tiring sometimes.

But, then, Blair doesn’t seem willing to admit that Serena is a sinking ship, the way she knows she is when it’s too quiet out and she’s too sober or too far from it to stop herself from thinking.

So in a way, they’re even.

Serena reaches over with her free hand to grab the rest of the glass of water Blair had been trying to sip at, drinks it in one go. The coolness of the water going down her throat makes her think of things she’d rather not.

She puts it down again. Flinches at the loud thunk, but Blair doesn’t even twitch.

Serena sighs, relieved; presses an impulsive kiss to the top of Blair’s head; and settles in to sleep.
