i think she looks better without false lashes also going to redo around her wyes as i ALLmost allway go over board so practicing doing minimal look.

I spent so much time wiping and redrawing Falin's face-up but I think I'm finally content with how it looks. It's not perfect but for the second time I paint a resin doll it's decent enough. And I also had to cover up traces of my previous attempts at painting this head. Wig made by me.

The base doll is a recasted Feeplee Rin which I got second hand as a teen so I just wanted to make my favorite dunmeshi character out of the doll and learn a thing or two. And honestly I'm SO glad I could test out painting on a cheaper doll instead of damaging a legit...pls don't eat me for that.

I customized him a few months ago, but only just remembered that it might be fun to post online. I made him with supplies I already had so it's not the best quality in some parts lol

Honestly, I don't love the face or hand molds, and the neck is so weirdly long. The hair was also a struggle to deal with cuz it's low-quality... but I tried my best to work with what I had. I like this body type though!

I'm good at making doll clothes, but this was my first small-scale faceup! And my first time trying to make shoes... they were difficult. But I still like the overall look!

These 3 lovely Sheepy Dolls faceplates (Pishu, Puff, and Fluff) in mint skin were a fun challenge to do, as the concept was a glam zombie kitty. So I only blushed with blue tons, gave her stunning eyelashes, drippy dark green-blue blood from one eye, and some very pretty ultra shiny ombre lips. I can't even pick which one is my favorite, at least they all go on the same body hah!

WiP - Clown Allen, Wig & Eyelashes

Adding the hairline here, eyelashes and final adjustments for the wig.

I later on decided to restyle the wig as it had a too much "powdered white wig" look to my taste, it's less static now.

Seeing both the Allen's together gives me feels... stay tuned for time finished photos soon.... <3

Hmm doll dyeing adventure #3 did not go nearly so well as 1 and 2 :/

Attempted to dye Vanora's head, and while the dye took ok on the ears when i was testing colors and time, it got a little blotchy on the headcap (spots of glue maybe?) and took very unevenly on the head itself. Like..one eyewell took the dye darker than the other, which i might think would be dye pooling there, except i had the head on a string and was moving it in the dye bath, so it wouldn't have had time enough to pool enough for that. The back of the neck barely took, same with the forehead, plus there's a weird mark at the top of the forehead where i'm assuming something with the glue holding the magnet in (which fell out at one point) interacted with the resin, because the headcap did the same thing. It took evenly inside the head, which is odd. (The first one is after dyeing and rinsing, which is why it's wet, and the others are a few hours later)

I scrubbed her down before i started dyeing, so there shouldn't have been any oils or mold release left on it. But i guess I'll have to try to wipe it, clean her REALLY well and try again. And maybe up the concentration for the dye bath some too next time, so I can use shorter dunk times. Since it didn't turn out well, I might go ahead and buy some kentucky sky (this was a combination of tropical teal and sapphire blue) since that looks like on its own it's a warmer toned blue a little closer to the marker color I use when drawing her, though i think it's also quite light. But of course i can't find good swatches of it to be sure. I don't need this to be darker per se, i just need it to be even.

it's funny because I've seen people say Loongsoul resin dyes badly, but I had hardly any issues with it the couple times i dyed dollbei jun (and those i did have were on me and i know what i did). But this dreamvalley resin...damn

astarion's honestly the perfect candidate for one of those beautiful ball jointed dolls that are super nicely painted and have like tons of nice clothes but alas im not a wealthy hobbyist and i also dont enjoy any dolls bigger than 1/6 (and they just dont make a lot of dolls that small that aren't babies or fairies or animals... sigh)

What if once I get my Copia figure next year I make him a tiny version of his black robes so I can dress him up even more? Better yet, what if I make a very responsible and justifiable purchase from my beloved cpfairyland a la carte and make ALL of his outfits? What then, huh?

The community is starting to feel more like the LGBTQI+ community instead of the doll community. And at first I didn't have a problem with it but now seeing how everyone is being kicked out for not being gay/trans ..... or applauding people for being that, you are excluded. The doll community is the doll community EVERYONE has the right to be here as long as they like dolls.
