I’ve been waiting for this doll since last summer and I’m so thrilled Mariposa from Glowmoon Doll is finally here!

Mari comes with three sets of feet (flat/heel/ballet) and two sets of hands, and two heads with two different faceplates:

This dolls has so many joints I’m going to have to test out all the posing options but I can say this doll is so well engineered the posing I have tried is rock solid and the extra joints are practically invisible. The artist who created Glowmoon Doll (Isabel Anderson) designs toys professionally and it really shows in the quality of her dolls.

Anyone who has visited this this Tumblr before knows I also have another doll from Glowmoon Doll, Boudi. Here are Boudi and Mariposa together, Boudi is a little taller but they are in scale with each other so they will be fun to photograph together once Mari has a faceup:

Had a little photoshoot with Clover 🍀 as soon as we put her in the grass, my mom found a four leaf clover! She held it so perfectly for the photos. I’m so happy that’s she’s done and I’m so proud of how she turned out.

Look at this little beauty who just arrived from @halfnekoslair, courtesy of a group order managed by @malaryush-dolls ! Just look at those delicate little nails and fingers!

She’s going to become Miss Bianca from one of my favorite childhood movies: Disney’s The Rescuers. It’s not one of the movies that got a lot of merchandise and such, since it was apparently released during one of the Disney slumps of the 20th century, but I saw it so many times as a kid, it left a strong impression on my little brain. And of the few Miss Bianca dolls who were offered, I liked exactly none of them. So here she is at last, and waiting for her glamorous wardrobe to be assembled!

Doing this spooky inspired skull faceup on this Faewoods Dolls Dahlia in lavender skin was fun and a challenge! The skull part is mostly acrylic with some pastel blushing.

Few days ago I took Hikaru to a park in my neighbourhood. I feel bad about neglecting him just because I'm more into MSD dolls these days. I admit he's heavy and not a good poser but it's still my grail doll, made by a very talented artist. I tend to pursue perfection and I can say most of my MSD dolls are perfect. I love my SD guys but when I look at them I feel like something's not quite right. They lack something. Hikaru definitely needs a new wig and that's my main goal right now. He will probably get a new faceup too. His old Luts SDF65 body is quite decent so I think I'll leave it as it is despite its single-jointed knees. And of course I need to buy some winter clothes for my big boys because none of them has a coat.

I realized I never did comparison photos with Orchid (⁠・⁠o⁠・⁠)

Turns out the hight difference is all leg 🤣 honestly I have been thinking of shortening the Granado legs so he would be a more realistic 1/12 scale as he is a bit over

Orchid was intended to be a bit on the short side of 1/12 scale adult not everyone can be 180cm models u.u

I think I will just fix the surface and send him off to get cast all flaws be damned or I will never finish him (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) when I do a pre-order I will send him off whether I fill a bare minimum or not, the quantity of orders would just determine if I do a small or bigger batch

It's happening! TOMORROW AT NOON! I will be posting some color mock-ups (there are four options) and more info soon! Mostly tomorrow, though. I will infodump you tomorrow. I need to make some more graphics and get the form ready (lmao help).

I don't love when people solicit shares BUT shares would help in this situation lmao. I kind of don't know what to expect. People like Harold, but idk if it is enough? My Muriel project was unexpectedly successful, but I recognize I'm not entitled to success and have no idea what will happen. I need a minimum of 12 to make the casting actually happen, so I hope you all can help me with that! Honestly I feel like I'm at a turning point here and would love to do dollmaking as my main "art" rather than begging the internet to do illustrations, so any interactions and stuff really help!

I want to send my Glowmoon Doll Mariposa off to get a faceup once the artist I want to have do it opens up commissions again but in the meantime I did a quick faceup as I can’t stand having a dolly without a face sitting sadly in my cabinet.

I’m using the purple eyes Mariposa came with for now - they are really pretty but I’ll probably get some that are a bit darker eventually.
