One of my favorite YouTubers just did a video on Bit of Earth! It’s a great summary with plenty of primary source material, including Abbey’s blog. She also did a great job countering the transphobia in Jeanine’s book and sorting everything out in spite of its non-linear structure.

It sounds like she’s going to do a part two on DAYDverse, so keep an eye out for that sometime in the future.

The Croaker movment revealed.

So here is my take on the Croaker movment. Its a giant reference to more then even one story that Strange already made videos about. Such as, Ms Scribe, Hivliving, Bit of Earth, DAYD and kind of the Snapewives. Lets break it down.

Ms Scribe is combined not only through the smut fanfiction but also through the idea that many of his followers are really soft puppets.

Hivliving had a very committed fanbase that was connected to it because of the condition she allegedly had. And while the muppet as of today hasnt claimed to have any illness, it would be in character for the muppet to do so.

Bit of Earth / Dayd, the religous cult that is his following is based on the following of Andy Blake the cults he tried to build and those that he had for a time.

The Snapewives, The muppet is connected through an religous cult aspect but not like the Andy Blake following. The Snapewives aspects are the Astral pojections, the Muppet joker fiction kin types, and the soul relationships.

My personal theory still is that the muppets following isnt a soft puppet army but is just Father Stranges Patreons. Which would make sence. Its still something she has the full control over, and the people who are in it are people who actually pay money to be there. Its a notes pusher, do YOU want your 15 minutes of tame well all you need to do is to join Stranges Patreon, and she will reblog one of your posts as the Muppet and boom hundrets of notes within the hour. If its a post about Xyz about fandom xyz the followers of that fandom/aesthetic also get draggeed into the muppet blog.

Its flawless. No one will ever come thorth to report on it because they paided money to be in it. And maybe its just a teature for the older Patreons.

Why am i thinking this? Because gathering such a devoted following does seem to be inpossible. A following that is following all those rules, all those Video topics to the extreme. And once again while looking at it form one perspective it all could be an coincidence, but its just too much to be an coincidence. There just is too much evidence to be something else at this point.

many things about the chronicles of Narnia made me irrevocably insane at the small age of six years old but one of the big ones was the bit in prince Caspian where caspian blows susan's horn to try and summon help and it summons the pevensie kids like. that's crazy ok. that's insane. imagine at 12 years old you're given a horn thats purpose is basically summoning divine intervention & then years later someone blows it and summons YOU . I'm crazy !

Do you think the reason Andy planned the cons

Was to stress out the people he was living with so they wouldn’t notice the things he was doing to them or do you think he actually thought he the cons would work out

The stress that trying to arrange all of the Bit of Earth events caused the Bagenders definitely made it easier for Andy to manipulate them, but I don't think that was the reason he planned the events.

I think that on Andy's part, the point of Tentmoot (as well as Hall of Fire and Lost Palantir) was for the Bagenders to meet celebrities, and for him to get credit for making that happen. He only seemed to care about the success of those events in so far as he could get celebrities involved.

It seems likely to me that Andy initially did believe that he could pull off Tentmoot, but there had to be a point fairly early on when it became obvious to him that there was a lot more work, money, and logistical detail necessary to put on a convention than he'd realized. Rather than admit that, he piled lie upon lie, made escalating demands of the Bit of Earth staff, and continued to try to get anyone involved who was connected to the LotR movies and could even remotely be considered a celebrity. He definitely knew that there was no way the convention was going to work out as planned, but I think he'd decided that if he could get at least a few celebrities to show up, that would be better than nothing and he could somehow lie his way out of whatever fallout there might be. He clung to that idea right up to the point that Turimel canceled the New Zealand actors' flight reservations.

taking all my american followers by the shoulders. listen to me. just because you have a more promising candidate now doesn't mean you just assume it's going to be fine and don't bother voting. assuming trump wasn't going to win is how you got here in the first place so you go out and fucking vote for harris and give everyone a fighting chance.

also if you're still in the 'they're both as bad as eachother' delirium, please take your head out from between your cheeks and consider that your options are an imperfect president and the literal worst person alive who is going to get masses of people killed. i've said it like this before, but it's like deciding between maybe getting food poisoning or definitely having a brain aneurysm. take your pick i guess but don't be surprised when you drop dead.

Soooooo, i discovered this YT video bc I was bored and scrolling through my Mastodon server feed and it popped up and then I had that "food critic in Ratatouille" moment when the camera zooms into his startled face and he has a flashback to his childhood except I was immediately taken to that period in my life when I was a vehement Fandom Wank lurker. I remember the initial write-up about this, plus the subsequent follow-ups (and then that fucking BOOK wtf) and...well...

It's a long video but dang it's a good one. I highly recommend it if you're interested in some of the darker moments of fandom history

Also I was scrolling through the comments and saw that Abby has chimed in to say that she's doing well now, of which I'm glad.
