Mason Ale Works + Beer Zombies + Craft Beer Kings Crowns, Hammers, and Zombies Hazy Double IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Smells of citrus and tropical notes and the body is quite a bit chewier and maltier than I was expecting, though this does help balance the firmly aggressive bitterness in the finish.

Las Vegas Beer and Bars
Some of the breweries and bars in the Las Vegas area that offer craft beer, cocktails, and lots of fun. Las Vegas Beer and Bars —- Whenever I visit an area, I like to explore the breweries, tap rooms, and bars to familiarize myself with the local craft beer scene and find places that offer comfortable surroundings and unique stories. The independent brewery and craft beer scene has grown…

New Releases: August 13, 2024
Middle Grade Ash’s Cabin by Jen Wang Ash has always felt alone. Adults ignore the climate crisis. Other kids Ash’s age are more interested in pop stars and popularity contests than in fighting for change. Even Ash’s family seems to be sleepwalking through life. The only person who ever seemed to get Ash was their Grandpa Edwin. Before he died, he used to talk about building a secret cabin, deep…

Beer Zombies + Seven Island Brewery Vrykolakas Triple IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. This is a huge, bright heavyweight with lots of stone fruit and interesting white wine and tropical fruit. Some melon like notes, too, and the 10% manages to hide quite well behind the juicy fruit notes up front. As this warms you get more booze and bitterness, but amazingly well-balanced for what it is.

WHO DOUBTED ME? WHO DOUBTED ME???
Ok yes I skipped a bit (middle grade, a couple of the audio dramas, the comics) but I finished all the adult and YA books in like 3 weeks so I feel accomplished.
Defy the Storm was oddly uplifting. Ooh that last scene with Vernestra and Elzar…
And the epilogue. Azlin has reached ‘fucking Azlin’ status both for taking the scenic route to report Kevmo and Zallah’s murders after Path of Deceit and now being spooky and mean to my BOY REATH. Fucking Azlin.

A few more "before" screenshots, before we get into the "plat de résistance"...
As a note: in the opening of the episode (well not really the opening, but the first scenes) we have a brief moment of Mark in his underwears because his roomate borrowed and tried all of his clothes. (And he ripped most of them off, due to the zombie roomate - Randall's the ame - having a larger build than Mark, coupled with a beer gut). What is quite interesting is that I watched the first two episodes of the season before jumping onto episode 12 - and in those two first episodes, Mark also ended up shirtless... But he was depicted with a flabbier and softer mid-section, showing that he was a "skinny fat" type of guy. But here, in the twelfth episode, they drew him fitter. I have to say I don't know if it is simply an evolution of the character design, or if some specific incident in the in-between episodes made him loose weight - but I'll definitively be posting pics of the first two episodes to compare.
To return to the actual plot of the episode - Clark Dungaree notably gets massively unhinged at one point and has a... let's say "psychotic episode" which leads him to literaly kidnap Mark by sedating him with powerful drugs. And what he does then, is simply force him to participate into his various TV reality shows - shows that he keeps coming up out of random ideas that just happen to cross his mind, and that he just abandons mid-way whenever he feels bored by it. Each time he drugs Mark, who wakes up in a different show, is forced (sometimes at gunpoint) to be the center of the show, and then is just as brutally drugged by Clark to be moved onto a next show.
This sequence allows the episode to parody several popular reality-tv shows - for example, at one point Mark is forced to disguise himself into a bat-human hybrid to be the center of "The Bat-chelor" episode a parody of "The Bachelor"), and another time he finds himself running from the army in the middle of a forest for a show called "Help, I'm not a terrorist, get me out of here!" (a parody of "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!").
But there is one particular show, the first one of the sequence, that will interest us enjoyers of the large flesh...
