Just put spray varnish on these three lads I put together for a campaign league a local game store is putting on. These 3, plus a Ballistus that's just primed, and a tech marine with no enhancements are my current 750 run.

Ultramarines Vs Tyranids game of Warhammer 40k today.

Ultramarines had to hold the starport for 5 turns against the onslaught of the Tyranid invasion to allow the Emperor’s faithful time to escape. The brave boys in blue managed to hold until mid turn 4 before becoming bio-mass 💀

Must admit, turn 2-3 it looked like the Space Marines might be in with a chance as they jumped ahead in points and whittled down some of the more nibbly nids. But, the endless hunger of the Tyranids had them munch their way ahead at the end of turn 3 before adding the last of the Space Marines to the bio-mass.

I like to think my Ultramarines stalled the invasion just long enough for the important folk to evacuate the lost world.

I guess the Hive Fleet Leviathan continues its advance...

Kicking off 2025 with something I haven’t tried to draw in YEARS: WARHAMMER 40K! That incredible short on Secret Level blew me away, and I get the itch last month to make this!

-I tried get into the tabletop miniature game as a teen, but was way too expensive for me, but, I may get the new Space Marine game and read through some of the books for now!
