"I don't think you know him" is great because Marius not only didn't try to get to know Armand as Armand, he rejects the idea of Armand existing, to him there is only Amadeo

He is like a conservative parent refusing to acknowledge their kid transitioned and calling them only by their dead name in front of everyone

I kinda want Daniel in this scenario to send him images of Armand as he knows him via mind gift and Marius to lose composure for once because no, he doesn't recognise that person wearing his Amadeo's face in this stranger's mind, his Amadeo never acted like that in his presence, and now he is wondering which one is the real him, but it only lasts a moment, he can't afford to have doubts, how could he live with himself if he has doubts? so he rejects the idea and sticks to what he knows it's true

You know what would be great to see on the show? A scene where Marius meets Daniel and is all like oh so you are Amadeo's fledgling? And Daniel just goes No, I never heard that name in my life, I don't know who that is, my maker is the vampire Armand, I don't think you know him

In case anyone needs a reminder…

Being transgender does not make you intersex.

Going through HRT does not make you intersex. Surgery cannot make you intersex.

Intersex people are born with atypical variations of physical, biological sex characteristics. That is what makes someone intersex.

Perisex trans people (especially on Reddit) have been recently insisting that just being transgender makes you intersex, and therefore able to speak over intersex people on issues that specifically affect us, especially when it comes to dangerous and offensive terminology. This is not true.

Also the idea that you can somehow “make yourself intersex” is untrue. You can make your body more androgynous through things like hormone treatment and surgery, but that does not make you intersex.

Falsely claiming intersex identity based on these things isn’t *always* malicious (though it is often done to speak over us) but it is always harmful.

There's this moment in Mark of Athena (I think), where Annabeth kind of internally laments that Percy doesn't listen to her when she talks about architecture. She describes his eyes glazing over etc etc. But there are several moments in the books where Percy recalls facts she told him and shares them with other, or moments where he sees a building he thinks is cool and thinks about her. And I just ... I need Annabeth to know that her best friend & boyfriend is hanging onto every word and even sharing her facts with other people.
