I made this for Halloween and then never posted it so uh here it is nearly 2 months late

Ruth would absolutely show up to school in one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes. Richie would wear the full AoT getup on a regular basis and definitely for Halloween. I had to reference the star wars "I love you" "I know" scene so Pete and Steph are Han Solo and Princess Leia. Grace is a nun because unlike most other Halloween costumes, nuns are holy, not demonic (Grace's words). Max is himself in ghost form cause I wasn't originally gonna include him so I didn't bother thinking up something different. I only included him in the end because he would definitely imagine Grace in one of those hot nun costumes and I needed to include that

NPMD Theory

Felt the need to publicize my Nerdy Prudes Must Die theory, so here it is:

You know how much is sucks that Ruth and Richie aren't acknowledged or even mourned after "The Summoning"? You know how people headcanon that Ruth and Pete met at tap class, but he clearly stated "Mom said it'd help me make friends. Boy, was she wrong!"?

My theory is that Grace had good intentions. She didn't like seeing her friends so sad, so in the time between the banishment of Max and Homecoming, she uses the Black Book. She finds some kind of memory modification spell and completely erases the fact that Ruth and Richie even existed - or at least the fact that they were friends (seeing as Miss Mulberry mentions they've lost classmates, plural) - from their memories. But she's also really fucked up and doesn't realize how shitty a thing that is to do.

We know the Lords in Black are capable of all that, considering their magic is what causes Miss Holloway to be forgotten every time she's declared dead.

I dunno. I just got mad like everyone else about there hardly even being a line about their deaths and figured this made some amount of sense.

CATTY. this man was so judgmental and snarky!!!! hater supreme!!! 

absolutely annihilating the homies was his love language 

was vegan for all of high school (hated thinking about putting animals in pain). 

impulse dyed his hair blue for the first time sophomore year at 2am on a thursday. 

he also cut his own hair!! especially when he was bored. cut ruth’s as well from time to time

owned a (very old) nokia phone until he was sixteen (he got an iPhone for his birthday) 

got into photography because of a rabbit hole of cosplaytok. he wanted to learn how to do what the greats do

has 6 fan accounts on tiktok

watched glee with ruth religiously on bus rides to/from school. they met in the eighth grade and live in the same district (8 minutes away from each other). 

LOVES the death note musical

kept snacks stocked for pete at all times because of his blood sugar.

was always the first person to be in the nurse’s office with pete following dizzy spells 

huge karaoke guy. his go-to song was the pokemon theme (followed by ariana grande’s “problem”) 

owned cat headphones FOR SURE. 

also owned a cat named jiji (kiki’s delivery service reference). jiji died his freshman year of high school

would have gone into film or animation in college. OR!!! cosmetology school. he loved hair and nails and makeup and yapping. ideal salon employee. 

pete got him his first ever sketchbook for christmas when they were in eighth grade. richie loved to draw his friends - pete had very unique physicality and ruth amazing expressions. 

rubs his head against people like a cat (freak. (affectionate)) 

guilty pleasure movie was the lindsay lohan parent trap

taught pete and ruth how to play poker of new year’s eve 2018. they made it a tradition to play every year after. 

hosts the trio most often of the group. they have their most memorable sleepovers in his room

dominates jackbox games. in an almost terrifying way. you seriously cannot win quiplash if richie’s playing

his favorite band is good kid (no mom i’m not projecting. i just think of him whenever they come up on shuffle.)

NPMD Job Headcanons:

Peter:

- Works at a furniture store and convinced his boss to let him get off early due to him needing to get his homework done

- Drives himself home, neither his mom or Ted can drive him home with their work schedules

- NEVER on his phone, keeps it in his back pocket only for emergencies

- Deals with rude customers on the daily and can’t wait for his last day there to finally be rude back to one of them

- Buddy-buddy with his boss, jokes around a lot with him and gets told stories about his life

- Has to wear ‘unflattering’ and ‘uncomfortable’ brown khaki shorts and a black polo for his uniform(his own words). He keeps his uniform stuffed in his backpack for after school when he has to go to work

Richie:

- Works at one of the many restaurants and usually closes(he works on his homework either in the morning or at study sessions in the library’s)

- Always on his phone when he can be and is yelled at by his boss. His phone almost got confiscated once

- Tries and fails not to let his snark and attitude slip in front of rude customers(or customers with odd orders)

- Records tiktoks occasionally with his coworkers for funnsies

Ruth:

- Works at the same place Richie does and drives him home because he doesn’t have his permit yet

- Slaps Richies phone away when she catches him on it

- Sort of a suck up to her boss because she finds her hot

- Does the closing shift with Richie

- Has her phone turned off during work so it won’t distract her

Steph:

- Doesn’t work, uses her dad money

Max:

- Same deal as Steph

Grace:

- Volunteers at the Church and occasionally gets paid for her work

As someone who believes in the "Paul is Richie's uncle" head cannon, my personal theory is this. Mr. and Mrs. Lipschitz aren't the most attentive parents, so they don't care that much about whether their son is at home or with friends. Leading to Richie bouncing between his home, Paul's place, or his friends' places without telling his parents. So when Richie died his parents just assumed he was with Paul or his friends again while Paul and Richie's friends just assumed he was with his parents. Now should someone (like Pete or Ruth) have noticed something was off? Absolutely. But if he didn't have one place he lived and slept at, it would be a little bit harder to notice if he wasn't around.

I think the reason I pegged Richie as having a bad home life in canon, because despite how much I want him to be the Paulkins kid I know he isn’t, is because he was missing for days and no one noticed.

I’m able to give the Nerdy Prudes some leeway in that perhaps Richie didn’t often hang out with them on weekends and he certainly didn’t seem to have told them he was the mascot, but that doesn’t explain why it seemed like there was no media or acknowledgment he was missing.

Surely if his parents cared they’d notice him not get home and the janitor finding his body the Monday after the Friday game wouldn’t be how anyone found out. Surely if his parents cared they’d call the Fleming household to see if he was over there because it very much seems like he and Ruth are best friends. Surely they’d report him missing when he didn’t turn up on Saturday or even Sunday.

Max was eventually noticed missing. It was even in the news. Richie wasn’t until his body was found.

This lil guy is FM! Richie I roleplayed as him in a RP server that @askhatchetfieldhigh started!

Basically, he has a huge hero complex, and he is so desperate to prove himself worthy of adoration and love, he ends up snapping after Grace saves Paul (like she does in every timeline), and this leads him to devoting himself to the Lords in Black in a fit of self destructive rage and envy, becoming a villain and self proclaimed king!
