scar headcanon i can't put into a fic but is still Important To Me:

After getting taken out of secret life by Grian/ after Grian practically tells him the wildcard for the random spawning session, Scar knows that Grian's a watcher.

Scar returns to the sunflower field because it's safe, and it's home. Grian made the sunflower field for him so that he couldn't Stop Existing- he's still bound to protect him, and has been ever since 3rd life.

Which means that Scar doesn't feel afraid, or alone, stuck in secret life. Because he knows Grian's Watching him. And he makes little offerings to Grian and grows sunflowers for him and tells him how his day's been. And Grian can't really respond, per se, but the sun shines brighter some days and the wind whistles through the trees in a way that almost sounds like words...

ok just an ashe thought i had - bare with me now (i have been awake for too long ignore mistakes)

Ashe who - very angrily - demands the newly freed Bob to cut the ropes Cassidy had tangled her up in. She’s absolutely fuming about the loss of her bike, steam practically coming out of her ears until one of her goonies points out a sign that tells of a ranch a few miles west. A ranch meant horses - and horses meant no more blistering feet.

She first steps foot on your ranch like she owns the place, her boots kicking up dirt and sand that wisps away in the breeze. Her eyes are sharp and you can’t help but shy away from her gaze, continuing to brush one of your horses until she approaches you directly.

You’re a sweet thing - all alone on a little ranch to yourself - and Ashe can’t help but curl her ruby lips into a pleased smile, previous events all but forgotten because of the cute little cowgirl she’d caught a glimpse of. You’re quick to ask her what she’s here for, and she only wishes you’d slow down so that she could take a better look at you, her eyes roving unapologetically.

You soon find out she’s here for some horses, something sturdy and quick enough to get her back home. You can only nod along, a little entranced by her presence before you snap out of it to show her the way to your stables.

Ashe picks out Pepper from your little herd of horses - an American Quarter horse you’d had for a little while now - and is quick to seat herself upon the mares back, smoothing over her dark bay coat appreciatively. You help saddle her up and even sneak a few peppermints in for free!

Ashe then shoves a handful of cash into your hands with a sharp grin, and it’s clearly way too much money even for a sturdy horse like Pepper - but she refuses to take any of it back. You don’t argue with a woman like Ashe.

It pays for almost everything on the ranch for the rest of that entire week, and just when you’re loading pails of water for the horses you pick up on the sound of familiar hooves. And sure as shit, Ashe is trotting back inside your ranch with a toothpick hanging precariously between her lips, claiming that she needed another horse from you.

She didn’t. She had gotten a new bike. Pepper was well taken care of on an aimlessly huge stretch of land that she owned and Ashe thought it would be suitable to come and see you get her a friend. And maybe to ogle at you a little.

You end up selling some of your best horses to Ashe over the weeks that she comes to visit, and she leaves behind more and more cash every time. Soon enough you’re inviting her over simply for riding lessons, free of charge. It all goes off-course when she brings along a bottle of wine.

It’s still technically a riding lesson, if you think about it.

You gnaw at your lip as Ashe’s crimson nails dig into the fat of your hips, the brim of of her hat sitting so low on her head that she eventually grows tired of it, plopping it onto your head with a growl that makes the heat bloom hotter between your thighs. She grins up at you like the cat who got the cream when you sink down further onto the strap with shaky legs.

“Easy now, sugar.” She chuckles lowly, her nails indenting little crescent moons into your skin as you throw your head backwards to pant softly. The fire was crackling beside you both, sweat sheening your skin as you fight the urgency to ride her til the cows come home.

The wine had made you needier, and it had flushed her pale cheeks to the point of redness. You’re twitchy and sensitive, pulsing with the need to let her lie back if it just meant you could cum, to ride her until you couldn’t think. More importantly - you wanted her to fuck you already.

thinking about kab and the thing about her i think is she knows just enough to keep herself safe Generally but not enough to really predict what would happen should something more... complicated??? unforeseen??? idk whats the right word to use but something not covered by someones reputation and/or vids happen, believe it or not this also affects her view of clownpierce (we'll get to that)

for example, mapicc has a reputation for being an violent, angry, & impulsive guy and nothing else which makes sense but is incredibly surface level and something that only really works if you dont have a lot of experience working with him

another is reddoons, his betrayal after the base incident while shocking is not unforeseen but his reputation as being a guy whos seen as being a reasonable person whos fairly loyal to his team made it seem like something he wouldnt do even tho it absolutely is

regarding how it affects her view of clown, since he isnt perfectly aligned with his reputation she instead pivots in the complete opposite direction and forgiving basically every crime he does even tho hes something much more mild and complicated than either his reputation or her view of him will ever be (think madonna-whore complex which is especially obvious when it comes to kabs vs woogies view of him)

another side effect of this Just Enough amount of knowledge aside from being blinded by her own expectations is that it frustrates ppl who think shes oversimplificating things (like me and seemingly several other tumblr users as well) especially when she claims that shes objectively correct and the smartest in the room at any given moment

how this roughness in her analysis affects her in the server still has yet to be fully seen but we do still have at least a couple months until the end but 'til then shes just gonna keep stumbling as more and more complicated situations pop up as is typical in lifesteal to happen and eventually shes gonna have to learn to adapt or else she'll be suffering the consequences one way or another

I do understand how a lot of people kind of dislike the ending of banana fish because as a viewer you tend to want your faves to be happy and stuff but I feel it makes complete sense if you look at it through Ash's pov. To me it makes sense why he would chose to die in that moment because getting stabbed there was a reminder that there's always going to be someone or something that is against him and that would then put people he cares about in danger, it's a pattern that happens throughout the story and generally through his life and so the response of choosing to die so no one will be hurt because of him makes complete sense in his own head. Along with this I do think that to him his death wasn't really sad because he died believing that not only he had protected the person he cares the most about but that there is someone out there that cares about him deeply and to me at least it feels like a fitting conclusion to his character despite it being extremely sad to watch.

the most brutal thing about the cactus ring is the bare-handedness of it all.

scar’s death is slow and painful, and every point of damage is dealt out by grian’s hands. there’s not point of disconnection between him and a sword, or a bow or anything. he is literally killing his best friend with his bare hands.

and he can feel the blood. he can feel the cracks in his knuckles. he feels it all. they both start laughing so they don’t think about it, but they can feel each other dying. and at the end of the games it won’t matter; and at the end of the games they’ll see each other again, but grian will still have murdered scar, and will still have done it with his own two hands.

scar fades into dust and grian looks around, feeling sick. his body has disappeared but his blood remains. on his hands. it sets the sand of the desert and turns it into yellow-brown clumps. everything is hot and uncomfortable. he breathes heavily. he can hear the voices, from the other side. and he thinks of scar as he jumps.

and then they’re back, in the void, and they look at each other. grian is bloody and scar is eerily untouched. they try not to think about the last time they had touched each other. grian tries to break the tension with a joke, but it falls flat. they simply stare at each other, with the strange of knowledge of how it felt to try to kill each other.
