Ohhhh my golly I saw your Vox x daughter reader an it got me thinking now HEAR ME OUT….what if reader got bored on day an just went for a walk and somehow came across Alastor, now let’s say Alastor’s a lil confused like he never knew Vox had a daughter and readers like *sad sigh* “I’d be surprised if anyone knew” an Alastors all fatherly to her at first it was to get dirt on Vox without reader realizing but in the end he just liked hanging out with her. Eventually Vox noticed how his daughter is gone half the time but reader just convinces her dad that she’s always home and how HES the one always away. Change the ending how you see fit or do whatever you like but UGH I love your writing stay hydrated and eat wellll🩵

͙͘͡★ || you’re indefinitely grounded until he says so and he starts tracking where you go in the tower.

͙͘͡★ || he knows that its a violation of privacy and stuff but dont you see that he’s trying to protect you? alastor is dangerous! he doesn’t get how you didn’t see it earlier.

͙͘͡★ || alastor does succeed on what he set out to do, though. vox is distraught, feeling like a horrible father. he even vents to valentino about it out of all the people!

“-i mean, what kind of father doesn’t even notice their own child sneaking out in broad daylight every day? i should’ve paid more attention to her, im a failure!”

So for you guys it’s a little different than the other piles, I feel like this might not be a guide but a pet that’s passed on. Whether it was recently or a long time ago I feel like this was a kitty that had some health issues. I feel like you had to make a hard decision on whether or not to put them down and maybe you still carry that guilt with you. This little guy definitely doesn’t want you to hold onto that and they believe that they lived the best life with you truly. You took care of them and loved them so much. I keep hearing you loved me so much you let me go. They don’t harbor any resentment or harsh feelings for you on the other side. I even hear that they’d love to come back and be another pet of yours. I see that maybe you were afraid to talk to them after they crossed the rainbow bridge because you felt like they wouldn’t want to hear from you. Trust me they very much do! They miss you so much and I feel like they always hang around in your energy and they love being close to you. Like I feel like they love to sit on your chest or your back. They never left you, not for a moment. They just want you to feel at peace and be happy. They still keep a very close and watchful eye on you, always wanting to protect you. I don’t know if maybe you’ve been having dreams of them or feeling them where they used to cuddle you. They want you to know that you were the thing that mattered most to them and still are and they hate seeing you continue to carry the weight of that decision after all this time. Hi, it’s me, slytherinboysappreciation. I wanted to send you this as an ask rather than a comment to make it easier for you to answer.

Do you have any thoughts about Blaise and his personal grooming habits? To me he seems like a very well put together person. Like, expensive tastes and classy outfits.

I don’t think he’s obsessed with his appearance like I think Draco is (my personal opinion), but I do think he takes pride in it. Maybe it’s a value his mother instilled in him?

My personal headcanon is that he gives fashion advice to the Slytherin gang. Like, Pansy goes to him for advice on which dress to wear to a party and Draco brings him along when he goes shopping because he values Blaise’s advice so much.

Idk what do you think? I’d love to hear any thoughts you have about this

ok first i need to establish I think most - if not all- of Blaise's traits and values come from his mother in some way. So yeah in my mind his mother is someone who enjoys the finer things in life, she has expensive taste and isn't afraid to show it. She definitely raised him to believe that generally (there are always exceptions) the way you present yourself through your physical appearance is a large representation of who you are (enter parallel to black families putting value in dressing up whenever having a community event like church etc.). So Blaise likes to be put together. He prefers to be clean shaven, he's regularly at the barber to make sure his lineup is clean and his hair isn't crazy (don't ask too many questions about how he gets haircuts while at Hogwarts, he for sure has a guy in Hogsmeade), his uniform is perfect (he asks the elves to iron his laundry before delivering it) and he is always wearing some form of jewelry like a watch or a ring to complete the look. he is a beautiful man

As for what the other students think, I mean I've said it before and I'll say it again...everyone has a crush on him LOL. Ok not everyone but at the very least everyone can admit that he looks sharp 24/7. Not even people who hate him can deny that. I just know he gives Pansy the best advice on what to wear because he picked up his interest in fashion from his mother, he has perfected the balance of finding something classy yet comfortable for who you are as a person. This is where Draco comes in, I think of Draco as really really caring about his appearance but he isn't natural gifted in fashion in the same way Blaise is. While Blaise got to be around his mother and pick up on her way of perceiving clothing, Draco (in my mind) was focused on training to be the next head of the house (aka he just puts on whatever the elves and his mother tell him to). Draco doesn't really know how to dress himself. Which is okay when you wear a uniform but as he gets older he doesn't just want to wear a uniform he wants to wear a uniform. He wants to stand out in the way Blaise does. So he sucks up his pride and goes to Blaise for advice and slowly but surely Draco begins to personalize his clothes (both his uniform and his casual clothes). He's no Blaise that's for sure, he doesn't really get it. But by talking through things with Blaise, Blaise is able to style his clothes to be more Draco.

(Slytherins find out that Draco's dracoification of his clothes is because of Blaise and all of a sudden he's the slytherin house's personal stylist...Blaise has decided he's sooner or later going to find a way to make money off of this lmfao.)

Chapter 6 - Dark Phoenix II - Emergence of conflagration

Part 1:

“It’s our biggest sighting of Klaue in six months. Our destination is Casablanca, Morocco. We all know he operates mainly in Africa. Our sensors have found Vibranium in the biggest amount yet. Our mission is to retrieve the Vibranium. Klaue has become one of our highest priority targets, if anyone messes up this mission I will fire them myself, understood?” Looked around the room of agents. There were about 10 agents plus Sam and Natasha. “We leave 0500 sharp. Vibranium is the strongest metal on Earth, so prepare yourself.” Everyone stood up and took their files before leaving the conference room. “I’d hate you to be my boss,” Sam walked up to me. “I am your boss,” I chuckled dryly knowing he still doesn’t think I’m his boss. “Okay, fine. Is there anything else for the mission? I’d like to be prepared,” he said and I looked up from the leftover papers. “You know your way around raids, we can use your experience with this many recruits. You have to take this seriously, Sam. I count on you in this one,” I said and he dropped his smile and put on a serious face instead. “Absolutely, thank you for trusting me with this.” I gave him a small smile and patted his shoulder before he left.

“Any notes for me?” Natasha leaned against the table, crossing her arms in front of her chest, a slight smirk on her lips. I looked her up and down before going back to the papers. “Notes… Romanoff, I don’t know if I could give you any useful advice. Just don’t vandalize my mission, I heard that’s kind of your thing,” I said without looking at her otherwise I would have laughed straight away. “Yeah, that’d be fun though. Anyway, I was thinking you and Katarina could come over later. I’ve got something for her,” she suggested and I chucked. “Natalia, you have to stop buying her new stuff every week,” I grabbed the papers and made my way to my office, Natasha following close behind. “But I love seeing her face when she's surprised. Y/n, she stopped abnormally fast, we need to spoil her while we can,” her arm gently snuck around my waist pulling me closer so she could leave a kiss on the side of my head. A smile came along my face feeling so much happiness and calmness in our relationship.

The last 6 months were a growing experience. Natasha and I started going to couples counseling. It was my idea and Nat was pretty skeptical about it at first, she needed some convincing but eventually she agreed to do it. After six months of doing it, she actually became fond of it. It keeps us in line I think.

Natasha and I haven’t moved in together yet which I think was a healthy balance to our relationship. We made sure to build it up securely and honestly, trying to be as independent as possible while also being in a loving relationship.

Of course, we spent all of our free time just us two and Katarina. We always try to spend some quality time together, either going to the zoo or some museum that Katarina could enjoy too.

So that’s been great, I love our relationship and I feel like we will be good.

Katarina had stopped growing fast and since the surgery, her hearing and speaking abilities became better and better. She’s gonna turn 4 in just a month and she’s the most amazing little human. Nowadays, she talks your ear off if you’re not careful enough. It became a tradition that every time Natasha was over at our place, Rina read Nat a chapter of Harry Potter.

Her abilities still don't fail to amuse us. She’s reading like she’s in high school and her vocabulary is insanely high. My dad has offered that he could teach her physics and math but I denied it. She’s 4. I want her to have a childhood. Watch her play the snow carelessly, scrape her knee on the playground, cry because she can’t stay up too late, or smudge her face into her birthday cake. I don’t want her to grow too fast unnecessarily. She deserves every little moment there’s to enjoy.

“What did you get her?” I asked Natasha while we entered my office. She took a seat in my chair very quickly. “A set of the Harry Potter movies. Special edition,” my mouth fell open, and looked right at her. “I wanted to get that for Christmas. Oh my god, you have to stop at least until her birthday. You’re gonna steal all my gift ideas,” I said. I packed away all the files and got my bag. “Fine. Ready to go?” She turned with the chair but did not care to stand up. “Just one more thing,” she stood up and closed the door before turning on the shades in the glass windows. “What are you doing?” I asked and she just walked back to me and took the bag out of my hand, dropping it to the ground, making me gasp. “That’s a really nice bag, why would-“ She cut me off with a kiss. Very unexpected at the moment but not complaining.

Her hands were quick to get a grip on my waist, moving to the edge of the table. I pulled myself back for a second, taking heavy breaths. “We need to pick up, Katarina,” I panted. “We have an hour, calm down,” Natasha kissed down my neck, hands roaming my body. “Thank god, I couldn’t have left this room,” I put my hands on her face and pulled her back into a kiss.

“I have to make this room soundproof,” I mumbled to Nat as she closed the door behind us. “Maybe next time keep it down a notch,” she bumped her shoulder to mine with a smirk on her face. “Maybe next time-“ “I hate that my office is next to yours,” Maria walked past us.

After I basically ran to the car and Natasha took her sweet time we finally made our way to Katarina’s school and picked her up. I ordered the groceries on the way and once we got to Natasha’s place it just arrived.

Rina ran inside the apartment as Nat chased her while I took the groceries from the delivery guy. “Wow, I’ve never delivered anything to an Avenger, you guys are really cool. Thanks for keeping us safe,” said the man, and I appreciated how nice he said it. “Our pleasure,” I smiled at him. “Is it possible for me to take a picture with you?” He asked a little hesitantly. “Of course, no problem,” I stood next to him and we took a picture before he said thank you and left.

“Was there a problem with the order?” Asked Natasha as I entered the kitchen. “No, he just wanted to take a picture with me. He was really nice,” I said.

Unpacked all the stuff we ordered and after a little while I cooked something real quick, not in the mood to make anything big. We sat down and ate then Nat spoke up.

“I’ve got something for you,” she said, pinching Katarina’s side. The little girl’s eyes widened and a big smile appeared on her face. “Really?” She asked. “Yup, stay here,” Nat stood up and went off to her room and a couple of seconds later walked out with a bag in her hand and a cheeky smile on. “What is it?” Asked my daughter curiously. Natasha handed her the bag and Katarina was quick to rip open the box and when she saw it she gasped loudly.

“Oh my god, yes!” She said excitedly and observed the package of Harry Potter movies like it’s a treasure. “Thank you,” Rina jumped out of her seat and was quick to shower Natasha with hugs and kisses. “You’re welcome, baby,” she kissed her head while hugging her close. “I love you, Natty,” Katarina mumbled against Nat’s shoulder and the smile that pulled on the redhead’s face was remarkable. “I love you too, Bean.”

The rest of the day went by really fast. Clint was nice enough to take Katarina to school so I could go to the mission in time so at 4 am sharp I was already at the HQ, preparing for our departure. Got my guns and knives ready and met with Nat and Sam at the deck ten minutes before 5.

“Be aware of the trainees. I don’t want any of them to mess this up or get killed on my watch, but stick to your mission too. Be safe and don’t do anything stupid,” I said to the two of them. “She’s talking to you,” Sam glanced at Natasha who scoffed at this. “She’s definitely talking to you,” she said. “I’m talking to both of you.”

At 5 we took off with the team, flying straight to Morocco. Our estimated arrival was 6 which was successful thank god because I didn’t want them to slip away this time.

“Sam, I’ve got you new glasses, you have to wear these,” I handed him a box and he took it with a smile. “Wow, a present for me,” he opened it but the smile dropped from his face. “They look the same,” he said. “Yeah, but they have a Vibranium sensor in them. It detects metal, which makes our job a little easier.”

“Okay everyone, it’s showtime. Team R leaves first then Team W and then Team S. Comms are on at all times, you see something you share, yeah? Don’t die,” I said then we were ready to go.

Nat left first with her team then Sam and lastly me. I was very protective of this mission because I’ve been after Klaue for the last six months and he always seemed to be two steps ahead of me.

I neared the main entrance with four agents behind me, Nat and Sam’s teams already making their way inside.

It was a bigger building than these compounds usually look. Security was way more advanced and a lot more guarded. “We can get through, but there are way more guards than we expected, Y/n,” heard Natasha over the comms. “Yeah, I got that. But I’m not leaving until I have Klaue.” “You’re the boss.”

I need to take a math class and I am so freaked out about it. Ive always been shitty at math and I am so scared I won’t pass or that it will freak me out too much. Ive been crying all morning and have been having panic attacks which I know is like. It shouldn’t be that big of a deal. But I’m just so scared and I dont know what to do. Once more a disclaimer that these are just musings about the version of Woljif from my fic.

Eros 5

How closely is their opinion of their own beauty (or lack thereof) linked to their confidence? Do they see themselves as more or less worthy of love or sex based on how attractive they feel?

In the game Daeran drops a few bombs about how attractive Woljif could be if he stood up straight, and Sosiel has a line basically saying he’s cute when he shuts up. My point is, he has potential he’s not aware of, or even interested in cultivating. One of the things he hates most is when people imply he would make a good servant or employee – like Deval after he’s saved from the cultists. Not putting those “premium curls” to work if it means being subservient or losing his freedom. He's leery of anyone handing out compliments, and in my hc, among the Thieflings he’s generally considered a waste – could be hot if he wasn’t such a weasel. Due to all this, Woljif doesn’t think of himself as attractive, and as a demisexual (in my hc) puts no stock in it anyway. That changes with Siavash. All of a sudden he wants to dress up and show off his assets, just in case the chief might possibly, on the off-chance, glance his way. He even recruits Daeran for a makeover. The boost in confidence he gets from Siavash eventually translates into dressing sharp – or at least, his version of dressing sharp – and putting on the suave charm when it serves his purposes.

Philia 5

What is their most fervent wish for their best friend(s)? How far would they go to make it happen?

At the end of the Crusade when he does actually admit to having friends, he’s fully invested in the idea of friendship he professed not to believe in at first. His idealism extends to this too. His friends put their lives on the line for him, and it’s only right he’ll do the same. I think he’d go to enormous trouble to help out a friend – and in fact I’d say even in Demon!Woljif form this is still true to a degree. His fervent wish for his friends is for them to be free and each happy in their own way. But also, implicitly, that they’ll all stay together. They’re family now, and that means something.

Ludus 1

Does your OC have any particular favourite chat up lines? If not for themselves then perhaps ones they have suggested to a friend? How effective do these tend to be?

This is giving me ideas. The comic potential of Woljif giving someone romantic advice… “Hey dreamboat” sure worked, but that’s not the only tool in this enterprising tiefling’s toolbox. Hi, I need some advice from a sister-in-Christ please.

It's a boy. Yeah, I know, all bad stories start like that but hear me out. I'm pretty good mates with this boy, he's an amazing person, so kind, really thoughtful, his heart is on fire for Jesus, he's funny, just a great bloke.

I was at a worship thing with him, and I just started sobbing on the floor (good times), and he prayed for me. Anyway, while he was praying, I just "heard" this voice, and it just said "This man is your future husband".

I've prayed about it a lot since, and I always get that same response, yes, you are going to marry this man. And that's all good and well, Your will be done Lord, but like, it's not going to be happening anytime soon... because like, I'm a young teenager, he's a few years older than me, his mum is my teacher, and I just don't want to ruin our friendship. I'm sure that God has a plan, so I'm not going to rush anything, His timing is perfect, but I just would like some advice for like waiting - because I might be waiting 10 years, I might be waiting 30 years, you know?

first off I wanted to thank you for being comfortable enough to reach out to me and thank you for trying to seek advice. now, I don’t personally know you so my first suggestion would be to continually ask for advice from other women in your life who are strong in their faith and able to offer sound advice.

I did notice you mention you’re a young teenager and this guy is older, I don’t know the specifics of course but please try to be careful in situations like these, especially at that age, a few years can make a huge difference then compared to later on in life.

as for the waiting, I can completely relate to you! I have a situation of my own with a guy I like. There’s a lot that I’ve applied to my life that I can pass on to you. The first is to let him lead, don’t try to make any of the first moves yourself:

'Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.' Song of Songs 2:7

This has always been a helpful scripture for me because it reiterates that it is not on my timing and, therefore, I shouldn't try to take charge of it.

Also, even with him leading, it must come from God. If his actions towards you seem in any way impure, talk to someone you trust about it and seek advice. A scripture that I always keep in mind when it comes to the guy I like is this one:

Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves." Luke 17:1-3a

This has such strong imagery, especially coming from Jesus! It makes me super aware of my actions and those around me and how we must always strive for the purity of not just ourselves but everyone who sees us too.

More on the waiting: I know it can be hard—so hard! I struggle a bit with it myself, and it’s good that you’re reminding yourself that God’s timing is greater than ours! What I’d suggest is taking the time to be content with yourself and with God. You have to love and seek God with all your heart first and foremost above everything else (if you want, I can tell you some more about seeking God). Something that's been told to me before that stuck is: how can we love someone who's imperfect (aka other people or partners) if we can't completely love the one who is perfect (God)!

Here's some scripture about seeking God and I would also highly recommend reading the rest of Psalm 119!

'Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord . Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart—' Psalms 119:1-2

Also, strengthen your relationships with other sisters too! Don’t focus so much on spending time with the guy and I’d also advise against spending time alone with him. Remember, our purity matters, and we are also influential to other people as I mentioned earlier. Here's another scripture to help with that!

'“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. ' 1 Corinthians 10:23-24

I’d also advise against building up expectations or a fantasy of him, especially since you are set on believing he’s your future husband. This goes along with seeking God first because you don’t want to get to a point where you begin to idolize this guy and constantly think about him or a potential future relationship (you don't want to spend more time on him than your relationship with God). Live in the here and now! The future will come just as God has promised <3 (and just one last scripture to reaffirm the idolatry point):

Last time he almost got tossed with the actual dust, and he’s pretty sure she was gonna do it on purpose.

“Pretty sure he can, kid.” Hopper says, clapping him on the back and heading off toward his uprising or whatever. “Next time, why don’t you sing him a song. Or try not pissing him off in the first place.”

Some advice that was, Stevie loved playing a little fairytale pretend. He just needed to decide if he was the dashing prince or the beast that trapped him.

Hey Dyl, good to hear you’re having a good time away. There’s a situation at work, well not sure if you can call it a situation, but I need advice maybe you can help. I’m a bit scared to talk about it openly or with people that know me. It’s a bit of an explanation which I’ll try keep as short as I can, and as you and I haven’t met I’m hoping to see what you think it could mean if it hypothetically happened with/to you.

There’s this guy at work and I’m his manager, who, yes I find attractive and has one hell of a sexy ass that yes I’d love to spread and pound🙊😂- but I’d never do anything or suggest anything remotely like that with him because a) I’m his manager (would never do that with anyone ever or have a relationship with or do something with someone from work) and b) he has a girlfriend who he has a son with.

He has a nice body, works out, has some tattoos (which isn’t something I’m a fan of but I guess each to their own and isn’t something that I go for when I’m looking for someone to hookup or be in a relationship with), he’s nice and polite but can be a bit moody and full of shit sometimes.

His a girlfriend who is about 6 years older, has 2 kids from a previous relationship and third which is the youngest with him. We’ve never had a sexual conversation where we both contribute to it and I’ve never seen him say some of the things he has said to me to other guys. I’ve only seen him say to 1 of the older women in our office a couple of times that was a sexual innuendo.

He was on sick leave when I joined as he had an op on his bicep which had detached from working out and as he works most of the time in the warehouse, he couldn’t do much and was signed off by the Dr for 3 months. Towards the end of the first day when he came back, I was with him and like 3 or 4 of the other warehouse guys just having a casual chat- then what felt like out of nowhere he started asking me questions I guess to get to know me, his first question was am I married or have a girlfriend or partner (as in another guy), I felt like this was a bit strange as that felt quite a personal question and besides, I have always thought that kind of thing isn’t something you just go talking about when you don’t know someone 5 minutes let alone the type of question at work. I personally don’t and have never asked anyone that question- I don’t really care about those sorts of things at work and generally kept conversations about work or where/who I saw at the weekend- never overly detailed or personal. That wasn’t even the subject of conversation between any of us.

When he came back from work, I should’ve added at the beginning of this story, he asked me and my boss if it was ok - he needed to do his physio exercise a couple of times through the day and would do them where there was a little gap. We agreed that was fine.

Separately a few days later my boss and I would poke fun and basically suggest that his exercises was him having a wank. This on both our parts was just guy banter, there is plenty of that sort of thing going on when no customers are around and is all I meant about it- I swear hand on heart.

Then like around 4 weeks after he asked the relationship question, one morning there was something that I wanted doing in the warehouse which he asked if I could follow, I would’ve done anyway as I wanted to look at while we were talking and walking over. It was just us 2 as he was the 1st of the warehouse staff in that day, while we’re walking over he randomly says to me “I know you want to fuck me”. Again I’ve never said anything remotely related to wanting to fuck him or anything to suggest that, I’m very professional and would never want to get involved in a situation like that then lose potentially my job, especially if that hooking up or relationship turned sour. So after he said that, and till this day never acknowledged him saying that or asked why he said it. Then like nearly 2 weeks later, again similar situation and again says “I know you want to fuck me” again I just pretended I never heard him say that and didn’t acknowledge that.

Again maybe like little over a week later to the above he says something slightly different “I know you want me to fuck you”. Again for the same reasons I’ve mentioned above, just ignored it and pretended I never heard it.

Aside from these 3 comments, there has been non sexual banter with me, him and the rest of the office like there normally is, just jokes that we all laugh at when we tease each other.

The latest comment though he made and it seemed quite random to me, I was running everything one day as my boss went on holiday. It was the morning so not everyone had arrived. Most of the office is open plan except where I sit when my boss isnt in and connected to another bit which is smaller but is also open plan which I share with 2 of the office women and overlooks the reception counter and showroom. I can’t remember just what it was but while the one lady was sat at her desk opposite me, I asked him about doing a couple of things that I wanted him to do in the warehouse. It wasn’t a very chatty conversation, I was actually in a great mood but didn’t show it at all. He then as he is walking away says to the lady, “he acts as if I don’t like him when he knows I do.”

I’m sorry for the long long story, but I don’t know what to think and hope you might be able to shed some light or if you would like share with your followers for some of their thoughts- seen as I don’t have followers, I’m a bit shy with that sort of thing.

I’ll be honest it seems very strange. If you’ve had so little interaction with him, him saying things like “I know you want to fuck me” sounds like harassment or maybe trying to out you or something, especially considering he has a kid and girlfriend. Not that there aren’t plenty of down low guys or bisexual men out there. But if that was the case, it seems like he would flirt, get to know you, or be more kind. first of all, thank you so much for asking! as always we really appreciate asks.

to start, lets look at pronouns as a whole. pronouns are little grammar nicknames to help sentences flow better. but they are, at their core, nicknames. keep this in mind when trying on pronouns you like. pronouns also MAY or MAY NOT be related to gender. just like someone can use he/him without identifying as a boy, you can use fairy/fairyself without having a xenogender relating to fairies.

next, lets look into neopronouns a little more. plain neopronouns include non-words such as xi/xer, xe/xem, ix/ixes, li/lius, and more of course. these are more sounds than words. then theres xenopronouns, a subcategory of neopronouns. these are word pronouns, such as meow/meowself and love/loveself. there is also another category of neopronouns, which is emoji pronouns, which are for online use only. these are pronouns like 💗/💗self, 🔪/🔪self, 🌸/🌸self and more. since i don’t know what exact set of neopronouns you’d like suggestions for, i’m going to go forward with this post assuming you want recommendations for all of them.

finally, how to find pronouns that fit you. at the end of this post i’ll include some more popular / common pronouns that seem to be loved all around so you have somewhere to start.

how to find plain neopronouns to fit you can be hard to explain, since everyones experience is unique. however, asking yourself if you want masculine sounding or feminine or even androgynous sounding pronouns can be really helpful! now, all neopronouns are completely gender neutral, but you may find some sounding more masculine to you or more feminine to you. i do recommend that after you decide that (or if your not sure and just want to continue with the pronouns) is just see what sounds fit you and try to spell them out. i’ve made some really neat pronouns this way!

xenopronouns are easier to pick out in my opinion. ask yourself things like, “what kind of objects, aesthetics, or characters am i drawn to or feel a connection too?”. try to make a list of everything you can come up with. you can try to make pronouns out of these yourself, or see if anyone has made themed lists based off of them! (if you can’t find any lists, feel free to request some!)

picking emoji pronouns will be similar to picking xenopronouns except that emojis are finite. list out aesthetics, objects, and emotions you really like or have a connection to. then, see if you can describe these things in emojis.

pronoun masterlists can often be overwhelming and hard for beginners, so i don’t really recommend trying to do it first thing. however, i’d like to include one for you anyways. please use it to your content, and don’t feel pressured at all either!

Do you have any advice on responding on commenters on fics. I want to interact with commenters but I don’t know what to say and I feel awkward doing it.

Ooooh alright, I feel you LOL. Bad news is that it does still feel kind of awkward to me, because I'm BAD at taking compliments and I never feel like the way I answer can properly convey how excited I am that this person liked what I wrote... but, to be fair, I don't think ANY answer could really capture that excitement LOL.

Still, I do answer comments as a general rule, so hopefully I can be of some help anyway! And of course, if anyone else has any suggestions feel free to drop them in the replies or in a reblog.

So.

There is no real “rule” for answering comments, I think it’s important to remember that it doesn’t need to be a formal interaction, you are just two people with a shared love for some characters/ships (A LOT of love, I’m assuming, considering that one of you is writing fics and the other is taking the time to interact with said fics), so try to treat it like a casual conversation, not a performance!

Also very important to remember, what you are doing when you are answering a comment is, at its core, giving validation to the reader. You are letting them know that you appreciate their comment and that you wanted to take the time to say thank you, which readers, in my experience, DO appreciate very much. So like, even just saying “Thank you very much!” or “Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed it!” is a good answer that is nice to receive. This kind of answer is a good baseline for answering comments imo, if you can’t think of anything else to say just leave it at that! Just like a short comment is very much appreciated and way better than no comment, a short answer is very much appreciated and way better than no answer.

And if you fear that you are being too repetitive in your answers, remember that you are the one writing ten answers in a row, the reader is only getting one thank you!

Still, if you want to come up with more elaborate answers, I’d say try to “mirror” what the comment said.

Meaning that, for example, if someone points out a line they liked, you can thank them for the compliment on that, or say that you are happy they liked that, or, if you can, add some commentary on it (which in my case would be about the thought process behind the line, or about what’s going with the characterization, or something along the lines of “LOOOL yes, they are idiots”).

Or, if someone points out something else that they specifically liked, for example a scene, or bits of characterization, you can discuss those, for example by sharing what you think was going on in the non-POV character’s head during that scene, or discussing how else that scene could have played out by changing certain details, or discuss headcanons that you have related to the fic, maybe what would happen after or what was happening during a time jump, etc (readers, as a general rule, do love to hear about this kind of stuff!).

And, again, it doesn’t have to be formal! Since I have the charming bad habit of writing a lot of pain, sometimes people leave me crying emojis and/or screams as a reaction (which, btw, is DELIGHTFUL LOOOL) and my answer tends to be something along the lines of “SORRY, MY BAD *collects your tears in a jar*”, so like. there LOL.

Also, I had never thought about this before, but you can add pictures/memes/gifs to your reply if those help you express your feelings, that could be fun! (Maybe I should try too loool)

It’s also nice, imo, when a reader leaves a row of comments, to let them know in one of your answers how much you appreciated that! Let them know if you grinned for an hour, if you kept checking for notifications and were delighted when you saw them leaving more and more comments, if you were having a bad week and that was an excellent pick-me-up, etc. (letting them know how they made you feel could be a good idea in general, even if you are answering just the one comment).

That is pretty much all that I can think of at the moment, hopefully there’s something useful in here loool Mostly I think it’s just a matter of trying to let yourself have fun with it, it’s not serious, it’s not a performance, you are fine! <3 (Said the extremely anxious bean, very hypocritically. cw detailed eating and food talk, but i need advice from people who are good at eating meals, which sounds bonkers but bear with me

i wanna preface this by saying i don't have a bad relationship with food itself, i didn't know what a calorie was until i was like 24, i don't diet, and i'm not a picky eater. i enjoy food and have a neutral-positive relationship with food, but i am not a consistent eater and it's really difficult for me to get into the habit of eating meals which is not good for my energy or my stomach !!

i have symptoms of hypoglycemia but not diabetes, and i also do not experience normal hunger signals. so instead of 'feeling hungry' in a normal sense, i can get extra tired or have migraine symptoms or immediate and severe blood sugar drops, but my stomach doesn't 'grumble' - which has happened my whole life, a lot of times i don't know i'm hungry until my blood sugar is tanking. which was super hard as a child because i would just like... start screaming and crying and my mom would buy me orange juice.

so it's not ideal for consistent meal times because a lot of time, by the time i realize i'm hungry, i'm literally on the edge of a blood sugar crash and don't have time to cook.

in addition to that, i'm also not good at cooking because it's a ton of energy one way or the other. prepping is energy, cooking is energy, cleaning up is energy...

there are things i enjoy cooking, but since i don't feel hunger in a regular way, it's hard to know how much time to give myself to cook before i eat. so if cook+prep takes an hour or two, will i be hungry when its ready? or on the flip side, will my blood sugar crash as i'm making it and i'll need to eat something else immediately?

i realize this could be solved by prepping and storing meals, but i also do not grocery shop myself. other members of the household are the ones to grocery shop and tend to buy for family meals that are made on certain days, and i have a lot of discomfort around both asking for ingredients for meals that are intended only for myself and also shopping at groceries stores myself because that's one of the top 5 things that take a ton of energy out of me. it's like work, grocery stores, hanging out with friends/family outside of the house, cooking, cleaning floors... you get it.

so that's a hang up, but i also just need to build better habits because i know once i'm on a consistent eating schedule that will benefit my stomach, my energy levels, and i also have a theory that if i eat more consistently, my body will start regulating and sending me accurate hunger signals lmao

my family does dinner extremely regularly so that's my consistent meal of the day, so it's really daytime meals that i struggle with the most. but breakfast is ALSO a hang up for me, because it's hard for me to wake up and want food? i'm not sure that's normal or will change, but it's been that way my whole life and it makes early morning commitments difficult because i always know i need to eat before i leave the house but i don't want to.

anyway all that to say, my ask to anyone who's reading this, do you have any tricks and tips for building better eating habits?

the best thing for me personally would be to start small, like integrating one food habit in during the day and making it a habit. i've been thinking about getting into protein shakes to like, supplement my day until i can get into better meal habits, but i'd just love to hear some ideas from anyone who might have suggestions or things that worked for them, etc etc~
