Ya know, I was thinking about Rebirth today and I remembered this ending of Intermission and got confused.

Cos....where is this Zack? Or rather, WHEN was he?

We know Rebirth!Zack carried Cloud to Midgard, saw the news and immediately rushed to save Aerith. So he can't be at her church practicing hello. Intermission Zack isn't dirty, he doesn't carry Cloud, there's no indication in Rebirth about there are ppl crying in Aerith's church. This cutscene is an entirely different reality from Rebirth.

Like I'm so confused rn, is there more than 1 Zack? Where is this Zack now?? When did this happen??? Does this world get destroyed along the other at the end of Rebirth????

thinking about. the sovereign of elegance battle.

how initially nikki seems pretty caught off guard by being puppeted around, and almost like she's in a trance? she definitely doesn't feel fully there, her movements are a lot more limp and being VERY distinctly controlled. she feels more distant, more hazy.

but then there's the point about halfway into the battle where the banshee has her hand over nikki's face, like she's still trying to control her, and nikki looks away. meets the banshee's eyes instead.

and the banshee's own expression shifts, there, too. nikki looks almost defiant, and the banshee isn't quite taken aback or surprised by that, but she doesnt seem to have anticipated it? it seems like she's curious, intrigued. seeing nikki look at her so fearlessly, even after being puppeted by her. almost like a challenge of her own.

and after that, nikki's movements shift. they feel more fluid, graceful, more like nikki is the one in control. matching the banshee's motions and her energy, no longer enthralled but choosing herself to continue the dance. they circle each other and nikki is smiling, like she's genuinely enjoying herself.

if you fail the battle, the banshee and nikki reach out to each other, but the banshee pushes forward as nikki pulls her own hand away, looking more hesitant, almost afraid again. and if you perfect it, nikki pulls away, but not out of fear. she spins again, smiling, taking a bow. enjoying herself, still. regarding the banshee as an equal, even though the banshee had been trying to subdue her.

after that perfect score, nikki, recognizing the melody. upset that the banshee is leaving. wanting to at least know her name. reaching out to her even as she disappears.

Idk what everyone else thinks, but i am VERY excited to (supposedly) see more of the Trident civilization next episode, especially because we know so little about them.

like they are the only civilization without a specific "role" to them yet.

Swords are our homeland, and seem to have bad blood with everyone else.

Axes are the main antagonists and the "bad guys" of the series, from evbo's perspective at least.

Every bow we've seen are always the victim of circumstances in one way or another.

Guards also are a mystery, but they're always on the defensive side and seem to be more natural on the entire war topic, at least our good guard friend is.

but tridents? we know almost nothing about them, the only person we've saw is zam, and he seems to be a wild card more than anything.

Yeah he made his intentions about "Immortality" and "becoming the god of pvp civ" clear this last episode, but those are his personal interest, and it doesn't reflect the actual state or mindset of Trident civilization as a whole, or which side they are taking on this whole war matter.

How Homestuck Beyond Canon Candy Timeline has/will have parallels with Homestuck proper around and during the events of [S] Game Over

Jane Crocker heavily aligned/influenced by with Crocker Corp. Notice how her neck accessory looks very similar to the Crocker computer tiara. There's also the circuits surrounding the button, which are reminiscent of Crockertier Jane's visual mind control effect by The Condesce.

Jane also kind of looks like The Condesce with how she's silhouetted here.

The head of Crocker Corporation on a large Crocker space ship. A ship which I would like to point out looks eerily similar to the ship that The Condesce flies around in except the forks/sporks are facing the opposite direction and it's got black on it instead of mostly red.

Jake dying at the hands of Crocker influenced Jane and coming back to life parallels with this Jane coming close to killing Jake, but stopping right before death. Same green text too.

The cast of characters surrounding this time in the comic are also similar.

We also got the whole Crocker laser beam of death being hinted at which we've absolutely seen before.

I talked about this in one of my previous theories, Jake is getting a better grasp of his hope powers; so, I think we could see another hope explosion again in some capacity out of Jake's concern for Tavvy.

I could also totally see Jake being held hostage by one of the Crocker Clones A.K.A. the Brig Boys and Kanaya cutting them up with her chainsaw (hopefully avoiding Jake).

This is more of a little side detail, but Vriska is once again on the sidelines while this massive important fight takes place because she's trapped in her own personal Hell this time.

CHARACTER DEATH FLAGS - I don't know how to organize this post and there was a lot more potential evidence to this than I thought there was going into it.

Let me preface this with the fact that the existential split between Meat and Candy sometimes seems to try to course correct itself and much like certain peoples DNIs, it doesn't want any doubles. We see this with Dirk, Dave (he died even if he ascended to ultimate self afterwards), June/J/John, Terezi(seemingly), Meenah (her other self is in the black hole with Lord English so we can't necessarily confirm death but yknow), Aradia (is just Aradia), Gamzee, Calliope (that is a whole complex situation), and Rose (if her future sight is correct, but we'll get to that). Those are the only examples I can think of at this time, but it's absolutely a repeating pattern of the universe sort of course-correcting to have only one of each of our main characters exist at a time. This, at least in the cases of Dirk, Dave, & Rose seems to be related to the ascension to ultimate self, but we can't really say if that's why the other characters only get one existence at this time.

Karkat has has at least 2 deaths from around this time, one involving Crockertier Jane as well which could be a sign of things to come.

Rose's death flag is that she has literally foreseen her death in her future sight. She is thinking about Kanaya and Roxy in the same thought process while seeing her own death, feeling full of regret (even though she's trying to repress her own feelings) about her relationship to Roxy and Kanaya. Very similar to her being regretful as she was dying in Roxy's arms. I'm also guessing the bullet that hits her will be from Jake's gun, just throwing that out as a possibility.

ROSE: Kanaya. ROSE: But... ROSE: You too, mom.

Kanaya also has a death flag here in getting hit by The Condesce's laser beam of death, but it's more of a maybe given that we see Rose's future vision of Kanaya holding her body in her arms. Keep in mind though we also had this bit of dialogue about the reliability of future sight right before we saw that vision.

JADE: dont forget im more than a little versed in future sight myself ok JADE: i dont care how credible it seems, you cant depend on that information!

Jake and Jane are also on the chopping block potentially, but I can't think of a way at this time, unless Kanaya mistakes Jake for one of the clones amidst her rage and ends up cutting through him along with the Crocker clones. The one pictured below was done by Aranea who is out of the story. Maybe Meenah's trident hits Jake somehow or something, I don't know. We also have meat Jake and Jane who are doing more okay.

On top of the parallels to the doomed timeline that was [S] Game Over, we also had Vriska say that this reality was fake and didn't matter. I'm paraphrasing and I don't know if we'll get a doomed timeline situation yet with the 4 kids still in it, but I just thought the amount of parallels was interesting & worth pointing out.

I also wanted to get this out before the next update in case it's related to the flash animation and any of my predictions come true.

Alternatively I think the flash animation will be Ultimate Dirk kick starting his SBURB home brew session on Deltritus. He probably has all the tech and narrative powers to do it based on what we've seen, they just need a species they'll both be satisfied with as the players for the session.

like. i’ve assumed (and seen other people assuming) mercy was asking bc she thought harrow might be gideon (i.e. the result of dios apate major), but alecto told harrow to lie about her age, and she did, and mercy left, disgusted by the idea of a baby lyctor but believing harrow really was just harrow

…but (aside from the fact that gideon is older than harrow and so the timing shouldn’t quite work out, bc i can imagine mercy having potential explanations for that) what was mercy asking for? was it just curiosity/a hope of getting answers? or did she have an actual plan (or at least the beginning of one) for the moments when she wondered if dios apate major hadn't quite completely failed yet after all? in either case, why would alecto want mercy convinced it wasn't true?

or, on the other hand, something i honestly hadn't thought about until i started writing this post and had to stop and check myself: is that even why mercy asked? was that what she thought, or did she have some completely different reason to want to know harrow's age, with a correspondingly completely different reason alecto thought harrow needed to lie?

What changed Ice Prince Finn back to normal & where did he get a crown from?

Was Finn stealing a baby what ended up changing him as a person in the Farmworld universe? Similar to how Marceline kept Simon prime grounded & humane for a while.

Maybe Jay Mertens (I think that was his name, the eldest son) reminded him of his little brother too.

As for how the crown came back into the Farmworld reality, that would be because of whatever wacky effects are happening from Fionna & Cake going through the multiverse. Scarab was also messing with the multiversal TV's insides.

Going back to Farmworld Finn's little brother, maybe he was the one who broke the crown since I doubt a coward like the destiny gang leader would have been able to do it (or there's some sort of timeline loop going on with a bunch of the crowns that'll get shown later). This is assuming the little brother is alive, but we don't even know that for sure. There is just a lot we don't know.

edit: I see what y'all are saying about the old episode, seems like Prismo didn't wipe anyone's memories, he only made it so the crown would be destroyed. People still remember The Snow Man AKA Ice Prince Finn & what he did with all of that magical power. I also still think Jay Mertens could be the baby at the end of the flashback at the start of the episode.

And is it a constant thing, like he needs to concentrate to stop it or is it something that he can choose to turn on? and yeah, it's constant! poor guy.. that's why he's been practicing trying to block it out, it's overwhelming 🙈 the range is pretty hefty too, probs like 150-200 meters but the further away the weaker it gets so like 1 meter would be "hearing" n feeling everything you do but 200 meters away he'd only be able to sense ur there but not much else u kno

there might be others!? who knows.. it's probably kinda rare tho so idk if we'll meet anyone else with his exact abilities, we might have already met one or two folk who're special in their own way tho! 👀

In episode 242, an imp takes a dive into a hotspring, and seems to just... dissolve.

I am in no ways an expert on imp anatomy, but I've been trying to keep track of how they work. I'd say a majority of my edits to the TI wiki have been updating the page on imps to include a new bizarre detail on how they function. I am, I guess, an imp hobbyist.

I have no idea why that imp exploded. I wrote on the wiki that sometimes imps just dissolve in (fresh?) water, but the truth is I have no idea what that was.

I have a theory, but this is mostly just me grasping at straws (surely if imps always dissolve in water, it'd've happened before now, or at least come up? Maybe it did and I missed it??). So, if you remember any other instances of imps being in contact with water, please let me know.

Anyways, here's a theory I've developed over the past ~30 minutes.

According to the wiki, imps molt and reproduce via spores (unfortunately this does not have a reference, if anyone knows what episode this is mentioned I would appreciate it). It is *possible* the imp dissolving was actually an example of an imp... exploding into spores.

The life cycle of imps is poorly defined at this point, so it's not outside the realm of possibility. If this is the case, it has some interesting implications.

Was the explosion into spores triggered by contact with water, or a coincidence? If the former, it could imply imps are semi-aquatic, or possibly spend part of their life cycle in water, similar to tadpoles/frogs. I know some fish reproduce by just releasing their sperm/eggs into the water in generally the same area and leave their offspring to figure it out on their own—is that what imps do, too?

However, we know imps come from Hell, which is typically depicted as rather fiery. Is there a more watery area in Hell? Considering what we do know about their biology, it sounds as though they'd be susceptible to drying out easily, so a damp (perhaps swamp-like?) region in Hell would be a reasonable place for them to have evolved (assuming they are the result of evolution, and not some sort of magic).

Are they able to reproduce in arid environments through wind-born spores, but prefer water-born? Or perhaps Imps undergo a migration to a different plane when it is time to reproduce, and then migrate back to Hell at a certain point in their life?

Do Imps grow like a fungus? Do they have an adolescent/juvenile state, or are they fully formed by the time they're "born"? Imps can have complex societies complete with religious beliefs, which implies there is some form of sharing knowledge, which implies child rearing, but if Imps spread spores by EXPLODING then this child rearing isn't being done by the parents—do Imps communally raise their young? Do they pass down their knowledge genetically?

y'all can all cancel me (again) for this, but if there's even a SHRED of 'who should I pick?' from Penelope in season 3, I am tuning out SO fast because like. . .sorry not sorry, there IS no choice. Debling is some crusty OC suitor she barely even knows and Colin is a man who she has been so supposedly in love with to the point where she'd ruin her entire family's reputation to have a potential love story with him. Penelope and Colin have background, years of knowing each other, intimacy that few people in the Ton can boast of having (letters, conversations about purpose, fights and arguments and makeups) and her and Debling have. . .a dance or two at a ball because he's a rebound for Penelope's broken heart. he means nothing. he has no nuance, he has no weight to the story, he is such an afterthought to me. either I wanna see Penelope going 'you know what? I don't even LIKE this dude. he's. . .fine, but I don't care about him even a shred as much as I care about Colin' or the INSTANT Colin's like 'you know what? we should get married' if it's not an immediate 'say less, you're already my husband, try returning me without the receipt, Debling whomst?' then I don't want it!

like. . .it's just so frustrating to see all the 'I hope Debling sweeps her off her feet and she rejects Colin's proposal and she makes him work for it and and and-' nonsense from the fandom and it's always tagged and no matter how many times I block it, it just keeps popping up. I go into the Polin tag for POLIN. I don't give a SHIT about a male love interest other than Colin. Not one. Not a shred. Not an iota.

and also. . .Debling has the 'benefit' of not having depth, or character traits, or HISTORY, so peeps can project onto him however they want, but I'm calling it now, there is NOTHING he could do or be that would make me like him more than Colin. Colin will always hit different, and I will always love him more. and if Pen's not on that same page? lol bye

you want me to believe Penelope and Colin are soulmates and it's romance for her to hem and haw about how difficult a decision it is for her to marry a stranger who knows barely anything about her. . .

when Marina was out here dropping banger lines like 'You were the only man with which I could see myself being happy' and 'I do not care about any of these men, where is Colin?'? like hello??? and she wasn't even fully in love with him!!!! but we'll demonize her until the cows come home in our fandom and make her the villain in Polin's love story for DARING to get in between Polin, yet Debling, a white man, is a darling dear perfect prince for getting in between Polin? existing in our fandom solely so Penelope can be like 'lol, Colin ain't shit, let me entertain any and everyone else'?
