In Detective Comics #527 + Batman #361, A young and freshly adopted Jason Todd is kidnapped by Man-Bat, who begins working on a serum to turn Jason into a bat creature as well. The serum is completely finished and ready, but Man-Bat is thwarted by the Batman before getting the chance to inject it

In Countdown Presents: The Search for Ray Palmer: Red Rain + Gotham by Gaslight, Jason and Kyle are searching a vampire hotbed and split up in this area, while Donna and Bob look for the origin of a stake. In the next issue, it's revealed that Kyle was bitten after the split, turning into a vampire-like creature before being taken down

In DC vs Vampires #6, Jason is held down by Dick and Diana, forced to drink blood and turn, but is immediately killed by Green Arrow on his signal

Dc... pleasee..... you can't keep doing this to me... please just once. There's been so many near misses please just once let Jason turn into a strong and cool as fuck vampire creature it's all I ask 🙏

Jason's adopted mother Natalia was obsessed with the night and it's beauty and is often reimagined as some form of vampire or vampire like creature

Manbat briefly kidnapped Jason to be his own child while believing he lost his. And even cooked up more manbat serum he had intended to give to Jason before Batman stopped the plan

And yet,,,,,, no vampire or batcreature jason ,,,,, ,, devastating world we live in,,,,, those are his parents and yet,,,,,,,,,,,

The problem w the Red Robin cowl is that while in the RR uniform Jason kept getting drawn as Brooding and embodying the Batman silhouette but it just continuously looked SO off and wrong because it's Batman without the ears in a concept that's clearly meant to invoke Batman. I've been thinking about redesigning it lately (along with the million other Jason costumes I think about redesigning)

I may have many issues with Countdown but I can appreciate it for a few things and that includes Jason meeting murder Batman* (Earth-51 Batman)

I mean to start Jason clearly doesn't agree with the guy. He's very not into the whole "let's kill all these guys" attitude and thinks murder batman is crazy (and outright says so) But also. He puts on the suit he's given that this Batman made, he's fights with him. He mourns him. He's upset with the death. After Batman failed him on his own earth he meets one that accepts him

And augh. They haunt me. Aughh I wish I could write I wanna write and get to see a fic about them so so bad

Because like! The way murder batman was SO quick to start seeing Jason as his own dead Jason and start referring to him as such.

The way murder batman never got to know about Jason's Red Hooding but AUGH. Can you just IMAGINE the moral dilemma he'd have with that??! He probably would've killed a crime lord Jason before ever learning his identity, or learning it too late. Aughhhaoujgh

They had to kill off murderbatman he wouldve been too powerful otherwise. For example I think he wouldve Not been willing to let go of this living Jason

Multiverse kidnapping story where after meeting and then leaving, murder bat finds our Jason amd just. Fucking takes him and pretends it's his Jason. Augh that'd be so fun

Countdown really creeps up on you,,,, ypu think it's sooo bad but then as the heat of the pot keeps turning up you're like oooh maybe countdown was nice. Maybe I liked countdown. Maybe i should reread countdown. I have not entirely fallen for this trap yet but it approaches

I will accept a Jason robin design that isn't the same costume as Dick's, on the condition ☝️. That it has the kermit collar. Seeing Jaybin designs with the kermit collar delight me greatly
