we are still unlearning our general hatred towards anti-c zoos, necros, and pedos because of societal standards and generally just because everyone else has a general hatred towards them, we're trying really hard to unlearn our hatred. we might slip up here and there and block out of impulse.

Had a small session last night, with my partner

No real cuts, just light scratches. Being guided and talked through it,, yeah I fear I may have genuinely sighed in relief upon feeling the point on my skin.

Almost none of my scratches went red, and none bled, but they're still there today and I can't stop touching them and looking at them.

I was originally hesitant to make a flag or emoji code because it's a stance and not an identity, but I've come to view it as a matter of accessibility and making this stance more well known, as I think it could be valuable for many people.

Recovery from paraphilic disorder is often about learning self-acceptance, developing coping skills, setting boundaries, processing trauma, reducing harm, and taking responsibility. It's not about making someone "get rid of" their paraphilia. Paraphilias, by themselves, are not inherently dangerous or harmful! Yes, that means even the ones that people think are "gross."
