Recovery from paraphilic disorder is often about learning self-acceptance, developing coping skills, setting boundaries, processing trauma, reducing harm, and taking responsibility. It's not about making someone "get rid of" their paraphilia. Paraphilias, by themselves, are not inherently dangerous or harmful! Yes, that means even the ones that people think are "gross."

Fighting and dismantling ableism and sanism targeted at paraphilic individuals

Hazard consent is against:

Non-consensual contact including with animals, children and unconsenting individuals

Contact for pedophilia, zoophilia, biasophilia, incestophilia and non-consenting necrophilia, somnophilia, inibriphilia, or anything else that can be pre-consented to. Roleplay doesn't fall under this

Attaching inherent morality to any type of paraphilia, kink or fetish or deeming something as inherently "gross", "wrong" or "weird"

I was originally hesitant to make a flag or emoji code because it's a stance and not an identity, but I've come to view it as a matter of accessibility and making this stance more well known, as I think it could be valuable for many people.

You're NOT a bad person for having a paraphic disorder, no matter what one. You are NOT a monster for having thoughts you'll never act on. It is a MENTAL DISORDER and no mental disorder is inherently evil. You are not doomed to hurt anyone, no matter what people think.

I'm so serious when I say that pushing paraphiles out of every community that could help them cope is the exact same action as pushing paraphiles into becoming radqueers and abusers. like for some reason people can't wrap their heads around the fact that if we have nowhere to feel safe and express our attractions besides a group that supports abuse then that is bad. if you're profiction and antipara then you're the problem
