Goodnight guys. The sky is darkening, light draining from it with every moment tjat passes. I hope your mind is full of worlds and magic, I hope it sparks with life and art. I hope words spin through it like spools of thread. I hope those stories lull you to a blissful sleep. I hope you rest more than your eyes. I hope you rest your mind, your bones. I hope you feel, just for one moment, that childlike joy at having woken up. I hope you can fund the strength to love yourself in a world that wants you to do anything but. I hope you can look in the mirror and not see an Instagram model but still love your reflection. I hope your eyes trail over every freckle or scar on your face. I hope your hair is messy and ridiculous, but it's okay because it's your hair. It's enough because you are enough. I hope you hear the sounds of acoustic guitars and soft piano when your eyes fall closed, I hope that rain patters on your window. I hope you wake and the sky is grey, tired and calm. I hope the sky shudders with thunder and lightning. I hope you see the cracks of lightning, how they light up the sky, and never forget that you are made of stars and electricity. You are formed from dust that used to swirl in space, dancing between nebulas and planets. I hope you can see the mirror, and I hope your reflection smiles back. You are beautiful, handsome, perfect. You do not have to be a mainstream model to be beautiful. You must ask yourself, eventually, if you feel that thing when you look at them. Do you see those models and feel the heart wrenching depth, the one that sits right between your lungs? Perhaps beauty is not art. Art is supposed to make you feel something, after all. Perhaps you are art. Perhaps you have all of the flaws and blemishes that the models and actors don't have. Perhaps it makes you so achingly beautiful that you are the sun, and I an Icarus.

You are beautiful. You are handsome. You are the lightning when it cuts the sky with blinding light. You are the pause between the light and the thunder.

You are art.

I watched the "hyper realistic" version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" on Youtube and I was not ready for the utter lack of emotions from the CGI animals.
