You didn't need to be told this wasn't their usual routine to see that Swiss wasn't sure what steps to take next. Mountain laid back in his nest, lip worried between his teeth as he tried to track any movement around the silk blindfold wrap over his eyes.

But Swiss wasn't moving. He just stared down at the massive hellcreature held to his nest like a strung up animal as he waited in anticipation for first contact. Mountain looked absolutely stunning like this, naked, restrained, blindfolded. Swiss wanted to dig in but, he didn't know what to do.

He was glad Mountain was blindfolded because then he blushed thinking about the way Mountain had forced him into tight positions just to use him anyway the earth ghoul wanted. There was a sort of hierarchy in their pack and Swiss certainly could feel the effects of it even if Mountain was exuding no force as he sprawled out on the pillow topped floor waiting for the first touch.

Truth be told, he knew exactly all the things he could do. This, as a whole, was certaintly not new experience for Swiss. He had many a ghoul tied to his bed before;  Dew, Rain, Cumulus. That he was comfortable with. He knew how to get them into perfectly where he wanted them and where they wanted to be but...

Swiss watched as Mountain's hips rose as a small puff of air escaped from his lips. A sly smile spread across his lips as he shook off the uneasy feelings. "Thinking about anything interesting?" He asked, holding back a groan of his own as just the sound of his voice caused Mountain's exposed cock to kick again, hips lifting from the bed searching.

Mountain nodded furiously, biting down even harder on his lip. Swiss had to remind himself that a nod wasn't an appropriate answer, "Words, my agate." Swiss let himself fall forward on his knees into the nest, slowly coming closer to Mountain's side. "And remember your manners."

He gasped when he felt the weight join him, ears twitching as he tried to pinpoint Swiss' new location. Swiss ran a finger down one of Mountain's thick, ramlike horns, and the larger ghoul clearly swallowed a noise in his throat before it could surface

"Yes, I am, sir." His voice was rough, the deep gravel shaking slightly, and it sent a shiver down his spine. This was certainly going to be fun.

ANYWAYS Idiyuu is Hades and Persephone conspiracy:

Persephone is not from the Underworld. She is called back to the Mortal Realm eventually because she has to return. Yuu is literally from another world. They are not suited to Twisted Wonderland, and are nothing like Idia has ever seen. They have to go back eventually.

Hades is probably one of the few TWST boys to have a “canon” spouse (at least in Greek mythology, which Hercules’ Hades is obviously based on). On top of that, Hades and Persephone is the love story between death and life, isolation and abundance, ending and rebirth. Idia is a gloomy, pessimistic boy who has been condemned to be the keeper of the Underworld. Yuu is a kind, gentle prefect who has been there to help and has helped everyone they know, again and again. 

Night Raven College has been in a ‘winter’ for all of its history. Everyone is hostile to everyone, no one wants to cooperate or work together, and every single person there has some ulterior motive. In comes Yuu, who is a breath of fresh air. A new perspective. A new season. They bring ‘spring,’ showing people that they can bloom. They can harbor feelings that aren’t cruel. They can do things that aren’t harsh. And slowly, they start to thaw. Flowers of friendship and something gentler bloom. Yuu is there to help pull the boys from their darkest moments to see the light again. Idia is no exception.

I think that the way Book 6 was set up makes Idia and Yuu seem a lot more meaningful honestly, though I'm probably reading way too into things lol. Yuu originally goes to the Island of Woe to save Grim. They don’t particularly care much about what’s going on with Idia—they just want to get Grim back. But then later, once they realize what’s going on, they do. There isn’t much, if any, personal connection to Idia’s overblot like there was with all the others. Yuu doesn’t have to do anything to help. And yet, they still do. Even after Idia basically kidnapped Grim, they still help him. They still try to end his winter.

Persephone, in many forms of the myth, didn't originally go to the Underworld willingly. But eventually, she came to love Hades, and they were happy together. Idia and Yuu have no reason to care about the other at first. But they eventually do, after everything that happens and everything that brings them together.

Hades and Persephone are in a constant push and pull. Persephone has to leave because if she stays, winter will never end. She does not want to leave, because she loves Hades. Yuu has to leave Twisted Wonderland, because they have a home beyond it that they need to return to. And yet, they don't want to leave because they love Idia. Idia doesn't want them to go, because it finally feels like spring again. But the seasons have to continue in their cycle, so what can they do?

Also, I think it’s really funny and really beautiful how Idia and Yuu’s first meeting was probably the Ghost Marriage event. This guy who thinks he has 0 rizz ends up having to be saved by some strange new isekai'd student and their gang of potential suitors before he gets his first kiss and promptly dies afterwards. Idia, the boy surrounded by death, is saved by the prefect who seems to be giving everyone a new chance at life. Imagine how poetic it’d be if Yuu and Idia end up getting married in the end, except now neither of them are going to die and they have the rest of their new lives together. There will be winter, but there will also be spring. The cycle of seasons will continue, but flowers will always bloom. They will always return to each other.

Really I think nothing shouts "my first Presidential election as a politically active person was 2016" more than the fact that when I feel hope and excitement for the future (possible President Harris) for more than five minutes I immediately get a crushing, all-consuming anxiety of "feeling this positive emotion now is going to make it so much worse when the worst thing possible happens" to the extent that I'll probably need my break-glass-in-case-of-emergency anxiety medication.

More color theory stuff that’s been on my mind…

Mizi and Ivan are both wearing black in their first rounds:

Here, the color black represents stability and the status quo. They go along with what is laid out for them.

Round 1 and Round 3 proceed mostly as they’re expected to. Nothing out of the ordinary (for the audience, not the contestants).

Then everything goes to hell in Round 5 and Round 6 when they transition to wearing white.

The color white represents a loss of control, both internal and external.

Mizi loses control and attacks Luka during Round 5. Ivan loses control and throws his round when he likely would have won.

But the aliens also lose control of their pets. Mizi is quite literally out of their control because she was rescued by the rebels, and Ivan — the ever obedient one of the group — purposefully broke the competition’s rules to save Till.

However, you could also view this as Mizi and Ivan taking back some small amount of control over their lives and actions from the aliens.

This interpretation works with Sua as well. She took control over her life by choosing to sacrifice herself for Mizi.

Sua was the catalyst for everything that came after. Every deviation from the norm was because of what she did.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that her death, while wearing white, signaled a shift in the story and that each major shift that occurred after was instigated by a character wearing white.

Her only being depicted in white and not black says to me that she knew she was going to take back control of her life before Round 1 even started.

She was never going to play by the rules.

Unlike Mizi and Ivan, Till’s transition happens in reverse:

In Round 2, he’s is loud and rebellious while wearing white.

He goes off script, not allowing his opponent to sing, and smashes Freddy to pieces in front of everyone.

The aliens can’t lose control of Till because they never had it in the first place. He’s always fought to keep a piece of himself.

But that all changes after Round 5.

Mizi is gone. Possibly dead.

The aliens have broken him down and hollowed him out into a shell of his former self. He submits more and more, no longer wanting to fight. Having nothing to fight for.

They’ve finally tamed him.

Till is far more subdued in Round 6, from his voice to his demeanor to his outfit.

He’s wearing black. The bright red from his Round 2 outfit is also darker this time, and less prominent.

Everything about his image is dulled, like a light has been dimmed. The transition from white to black exemplifies this as well.

He’s giving into the status quo that the color black represents.

By darkening Till’s image, the aliens are suppressing who he is as a person. They’ve sucked out all of the light and life within him.

Now Till has a choice: Continue down the path the aliens have laid out for him, or follow in the footsteps of his friends?

To those who don't know, I took a mini break this week. The election really got to me, more than I thought it would, and I was taking spiritual damage from the world collectively grieving. I haven't mastered blocking that shit out 🤣

Between my call center job, my family, and everything else in my life, my brain went on a hard chill. Im doing what I need to survive. Which is staying the hell off my phone.

And yknow what, it has really helped. My emotions are starting to level out now that I can pick out what's actually mine.

Maybe I'll update this week, maybe I still need to chill, who knows.
