He publishes it under a name he got from a random username generator and then sends it to his family, telling them he found it and thought it would be funny to see who got what.

Bruce actually gets Batman, which isn’t that shocking when thought about.

Dick also gets himself but they’re the only ones.

Barbara gets BatWoman and immediately text Kate to show her with genuine pride.

Jason gets Damian and is pissed about it until he finds out people see Damian as super cool cause he has a sword, so it’s not too bad and better than getting sick or Bruce.

Tim gets himself but only because it’s literally rigged, so he doesn’t count it in his accuracy chart.

Steph gets Orphan/Batgirl and is estatic to tell her best friend as such.

Cass gets Nightwing to everyone surprise but the woman herself just smiles happily.

Kate gets Batman and throws a fit because Batwoman is better in every way and ‘obviously the stupid quiz is wrong’.

Duke gets a strange one that is called ‘OG Robin’s’ and seemingly describes both Dick and Jason in it but shrugs it off and is instead happy he got such a positive answer.

Damian genuinely starts tweaking when he gets Red Robin, throwing a fit and saying it’s stupid and wrong.

It’s then that Tim confesses he made it and that they themselves contributed to most of the choices in it. There’s some outrage, but most of them find it either amusing or enlightening.

Damian of course claims that Tim had just proven he rigged it so that he would get ‘the worst Robin’.

Alfred would later see him staring at the screenshot of the quiz result with a look of disbelieving pride on his face.

Bonus:

Alfred got Bat Cow and told absolutely nobody because it never happened.

painstakingly and by hand 😭 each blinkie is six whoooole files (more, if i offset an icon with the blink, i did that for the natalie spooner one!)

you've caught me at a great time tho because im working on making base blinkies for all the nhl teams so i can explain the whole system... first of all

^ this is a screenshot of my font sheet! i designed every letter by hand and do not like all of them. i keep going back to edit some of them which is why it's so inconsistent over all the blinkies i've ever made (headinhands)

and this is my blinkie base. again, made by hand. technically there's two layers to this file but it doesn't matter b/c it's just the same thing with the blinkers swapped

Nyeowww let me take you through the process of making um (checks list) a blinkie for the devils! the first thing i do is design the logo. my goal for this is NOT to make it as accurate as possible, but rather make it as clear as possible. with the NY Sirens blinkie i did, it doesn't look exactly like the sirens logo, but it clearly is... which is important and very different.... usually

fortunately, the devils' logo is simple enough i don't have to worry about it. i can make it as accurate as possible :)

then i color!

so now it looks like this :) i play around with the colors a lot... there was even a version of this where i used the old dark green! this one took 4 iterations to decide on exactly what color layout.

my last step with the art is copying in the text i want and then editing the spacing on everything till i'm pleased

and then i export it twice, one file for each frame. these are files "1a" and "1b" which i stick into this website to scale up to 750x100. those become "2a" and "2b"

and then all four of those go into ezgif to become two different gifs! (gifa and gifb)

^ the final product :D!!! it's kind of a really calming thing to do. i'm a pixel artist at my core so this is like, a simple exercise for me. especially because it helps me warm up re: color agreement

I’m playing Fez and I got the counting artifact, and I immediately assume it’s a die, and that each face will have a value between 1-6. A standard die has 1 and 6 opposite each other, 2 and 5 opposite each other, and 3 and 4 opposite each other. I went back to the bell, which has 4 of those symbols, 1 on each side. I then wrote down, based off that logic, all the possible combinations each symbol could stand for. 2 of the symbols on the bell are opposites, the other 2 aren’t. For example if one symbol is 3, its opposite must be 4, and the other two must be either 1 and 5, or 2 and 6. Altogether I get a total of 48 possibilities. From there, if I can just figure out which possibility solves the puzzle, I’ll be able to figure out which symbol means which number.

I painstakingly try every possibility - none is the solution.

At this point I’m incensed, because my assumption was clearly wrong unless I made an error, and remember that there was a room that had what I thought were all 6 symbols on a pillar - surely if I find that room, it will have all 6 in the correct order, right? But I didn’t save a screenshot of it and can’t possibly remember how to get there, so I google it as best I can to see an image, and get hit immediately with the correct answer.

And my god am I livid because I was sooooo close one of the pairs is NOT numbers found on a standard die! Why do you hate me!!!!!!!

Absolutely shit quality because I can’t be arsed to scan this in but here is a rare piece of art !

this idea has been floating around my brain for a while, I wanted her head to sort of be where the goats nose would be but i’m not completely sure that’s worked. I was also just greatly hindered by my lack of ability to paint goats.

I also decided to painstakingly copy each letter instead of just tracing it off the computer screen which I only realised on the last word, so if the letters look a lot less janky on that one you know why

there’s only like one shit screenshot of Black Phillip (the goat) online so I also had to kinda just make up a front view. The biggest thing I wanted to get right that I actually am happy with was the scale as I wanted the goat to dominate the frame but I also wanted enough room and detail in her face.

Also it’s less warm around the face in real life, that’s my yellow light reflecting.

oh my god imagine if the og novel in fool of a prince was a game so the players are hella confused why the cast are suddenly acting weird.

or, fool of a prince is a game and you're playing as a bg character who sees what is happening. or you're playing as niren himself.

-> a DLC comes out and it's about what happened before the main game's plot happened, before you transmigrated as niren. and there is a mini game about going through and sorting the courting gifts you had received.

-> you notice a cloak that is weirdly familiar, a dark red one. as you examine it, you notice that it does look similar to the one that the game categorised as "Elliot's Precious Items" and then you— oh my god, is that the menu book?

-> of course you recognised what it is, it's the book that is used as the menu/options UI. every single player of this game has memorised what it looks like. as you flip through the book, you notice that each page is painstakingly unique. every page has its own little pattern and/or notes in the margins, the notebook's spine and cover being etched, what seems to be, by hand.

-> is this a special item? you wonder. so you scour the forums, and you notice that every DLC buyer has started a forum thread about it.

-> and then, you notice a comment.

-> this looks eerily similar to the items a merchant npc sells in the town market near the slums. it says, a screenshot of their run alongside it. you zoom in and, huh. it sure does.

-> however, it isn't figured out until the game's fifth anniversary. when the surprise patch launched, it was shown that, post-game, niren and elliot had met an admirer that the players were not shown about.

background info: it was more like a visual novel game where they were not shown every single aspect of niren's life post-isekai. i imagine that some devs kolbie would hide all of the courting stuff to be left in the novel and/or manhwa.

!!!!! MAN now you've got me wanting to make a visual novel 😭😭😭 Also how fun!! Until you, the player, realize how heartbreaking it is 💀💀💀 Still it would be super interesting to have WM haunt the narrative like that. Having easter eggs that seem relatively harmless until you get that punch in the gut 🙈🙈

I am proud to report that I have once again used my schoolwork as an excuse to ramble about my hyperfixations, specifically DSMP fanfics. First with Unlikely Events(by Nymphii) in my Hero's Journey essay 2 years ago, then my Hero's Journey SLIDESHOW from last year, and now it's Tommyinnit's Clinic for Supervillains for Spanish 2 :D

Excuse the probably incorrect Spanish, this is a class and I'm still learning. But yeah, I just went all in and was literally vibrating in my seat because of how excited I was to do this. The minimum was 15 sentences, 3 sentence for each verb we were given, but I just started kinda rambling and now there are 23 sentences! I also had to do a recording of me speaking at least 10 of the sentences, but it had to be creative or else I wouldn't receive full credit, so I kinda had to brainstorm some ideas. I was thinking about using my makeshift cosplay for Siren but decided against it because it would be weird to speak as the character and it makes me internally cringe, and then I considered just adding audio of my recorded voice in each slide of my slideshow but I doubt my teacher would consider that "creative" and would give me a 0 on the presentation aspect. So, I finally decided to bust out Gacha Life 2 after a while of leaving it alone and start using that. I seriously debated against it for about 2 days because I couldn't bring myself to make a GL2 video, even just for homework because 1, do you have any idea how tedious it is to design the characters, position them, find the right poses out of the limited selections they give you(or make an entirely new pose if it comes to that), and EDIT IT ALL IN AND PAINSTAKINGLY SYNC IT WITH THE AUDIO?! Yeah, there's a reason I haven't finished a GL2/GC video in about a year despite having multiple video ideas. 2, it's just- Gacha videos just have a bad rep(partially reasonably so), so it just feels weird to make a video using one again, but I'm not going to spend DAYS trying to make it a hand-drawn minicomic because that would take even longer and it's due on Monday :/ So GL2 it is! I'm probably not going to post the final product anywhere, but eh. I finished the screenshots and I'm about to do the recordings but I am not looking forward to using Capcut again :|

Blade Chimera was originally planned to release in spring 2024, but in order to further polish the game and improve on its quality, the release date has been postponed to August 2024. The game is chock-full of story and gameplay content alike, and Team Ladybug’s signature pixel art is being further refined. We’re terribly sorry for the delay, but we hope the improved Blade Chimera will be high-quality and be able to entertain a wide audience. The newly released trailer showcases many new boss battles and gimmicks, all painstakingly designed by Team Ladybug. It offers a sneak peek into the world of the game… but in order to let more players get their hands on the actual game experience, Blade Chimera will be joining Steam Next Fest in June (next month!) with a public demo. Which OCs that are not yours do you most admire? What is it about that character that you find impressive or engaging?

Um, okay. *deep breath*

Seifer d'Latu -- yes, it's my husband's character, but that's not the only reason! (He has other characters that aren't my favorites!) Seifer very, very clearly comes across with a powerful sense of self that I genuinely think comes from Sev having played the character for decades. {As someone who has chronic altitis, I don't think a character has to be a "main" or written for 20+ years to be good, but the development of personality and writing style that Sev has built up for a couple of decades sure doesn't hurt!}

He's also a fantastic villain who never bothers lying about his intentions, but seems… able to just… slide that right past people? I can't COUNT the number of female characters who happily followed Seifer to the d'Latu home and were shocked to not only meet his wife, but also at his disinterest in bedding them. Like they just… didn't listen when Seifer clearly told them he only wanted to fuck with their heads. It's genuinely amazing.

And Seifer I find particularly interesting because he's not the evil overlord who wants to rule the world. He's best suited to and enjoys being an advisor to the throne (so to speak) and was originally designed to be an enforcer to someone with a greater degree of power. It's rather rare to run into a villain character that isn't either The Leader or aiming to be The Leader and I genuinely enjoy how Seifer works into that role. (And how he works the role itself, he's just… such a delight to engage with.)

There are a LOT of characters I've had the pleasure of engaging with that are just marvelous. Voranoix L'espoir (one of my top fifteen RP characters ever tbh), Zale Bolton, Lupus Lynx, Thravnar Ravensun, Sezra'tan Entialpoh, Targur Steelfist, Wisteria… (Why are none of them active on Tumblr, you ask? Because the Irony Gods love to poke me with sticks.)

However, there are also a whole lot of characters I've never been able to RP with (usually because of anxiety/lack of time/lack of IG availability) that I find fascinating to read about.

@luck-and-larceny's Malika and @dumb-hat's Evander both fall in my top tier. Not only are they well-rounded characters with depth--obvious when you just scroll through a very few pieces of writing--but they're also FUNNY. And characters written with humor--both as from the reader's perspective as well as the character themself--are so, so rare. I LOVE funny characters and I love it when authors/players don't take themselves so seriously that they can't laugh at their characters or themselves. It genuinely makes the serious moments of character reflection feel more important when there's a contrast.

Basically everything @gatheredfates writes. Throw @riftdancing in there because they give each other some truly admirable support and cheer each other on. (It's beautiful to see.) There's… just the sense of WEIGHTY backstory in everything they do and reading their snippets, seeing their screenshots, I feel the same way I do when listening to "Jenny of Oldstones" written for Game of Thrones. Which is to say that there's a whole world they've created I'm getting a glimpse of and I'd dearly love to see more.

While I love @kuro8529's "black snack" (:D), his Viera Fakhri (on @gray-morality ) and @catscratching's Seda have a solid story built up, not only between them but also separately, so when I read either of them writing, I get a glimpse of the HOURS it took to painstakingly build this mutually satisfying story that has so much further that it can go.

@ofcruelghosts -- I love the noir aesthetic, the writing style and the very concept. I can genuinely feel the inspiration from the pieces and I'd love to see the character in even more scenes.

@bloodpoetry-lytharp -- Hi, have you read about Lytha? You should. Not only that, but you should read the other characters @erithe writes because she has an amazing grasp of style, character development and plot. (She's also one of the best people I've ever known.)

@mirugaidoesthings -- Dayar, ofc, I love because not only is he old enough I can thirst after the character without feeling like a perv, but also because he's written so pleasantly, so casually that it's like catching up with an old friend only to find out they killed a tiger with their bare hands at 15. You do a LOT of "WHA??" and it's amazing. Miru is a miraculously talented writer and a wonderful person.

My fatal error however was how I mistyped nanna/nana. I used the wrong one. And it led me to gay porn instead. On the family computer. And I was wondering if anybody else had this experience?

so i did this!

just so no one tries to j'accuse me, i did this by painstakingly going over the original screenshot, color grabbing and (digitally) painting over each section that was that specific color (or close enough to that color)

i guess it's technically tracing but i still put many many hours into it and so I'm proud of how it turned out

oh yeah and then i played around with the background to make it more artistic and less loud and distracting

so yeah, that's my technique for this! tell me ur thoughts, ig :)

stick with the lineart weight you're gonna use throughout, or else put the final lineart on a new layer. dont do what i did, where i used thick lines until i realized i couldn't do her face with the same weight and then painstakingly erased portions to redraw them thinner....

dont use gray as lineart is looks weird

now she's too skinny i overcorrected.

quick closeup of her face bc im p satisfied with it? again, mistakes were made and im still figuring out her skintone (it's so radically different from each screenshot i sample from...........) but i feel like im figuring out her basic shapes decently well
