hey i dont go here but jayce's speech about viktor in s2e9 isn't him saying 'u should never have tried to heal yourself, you were perfect the way u were x3' it was him saying that viktor's physical health never made him any less beautiful, never made him any less important, never made him any LESS, period. he wasn't saying viktor didn't need to pursue a cure for his ills like come on his motivation to invent hextech was to help people. to cure disease. viktor's first and foremost among them.

Recently got dragged back into the fandom and I like your take on the reveal stuff! I always had a soft spot for em, and I was wondering what other headcanons you had for America? Or maybe if you see him as this unshippable character that's just a bro to everyone lol

America was literally MADE for fame. He loves making public appearances, being on TV, and posting on social media. He's always doing something crazy, whether it be climbing the Statue of Liberty, or trying to build a rocket in his backyard.

America makes all kinds of posts. They usually involve memes, comics, superhero shows, dangerous stunts, or jokes about trending topics. His instagram is a mix between "Official pictures", gym pics, parties, and selfies with other nations. Whenever he posts a picture with England, it's a common trend to find England's POV on his instagram and compare the two contrasting attitudes.

He also has a cooking series on YouTube and Tiktok (That Canada usually co-stars in). It's basically become a matter of "Which foreign dish will he bastardize this week?" He's a good cook, but everything he makes is extremely American. A lot of his other videos involve him trying to rope Canada into trying a dumb challenge together. America also does viral dances. He thinks those videos are popular because people like his dance skills. But they're actually popular because he's a hottie. He's completely oblivious to that fact.

America is so meme-ified that it's a little jarring to see him carrying out official duties. There are some people who tweeted stuff like "Why is Alfred with Obama?!" before realizing he's literally the NP and not just a funny American dude. I imagine this has always been the case, like when America fought in WWI, people were like "Oh damn I see you".

As for your last sentence, you're kinda right 🤣 I personally see him as aromantic. But also see him as someone who enjoys getting laid, so I ship him in that way. But I'm not telling you who I ship him with because it's a secret shhhh...

Jaskier accidentally ingests a love potion, and becomes obsessed with Geralt. He sings him songs, reads him poetry, hugs him and compliments him and blows him kisses. ... Okay so he's acting as he always does. But he desires more touch and affection from Geralt, and who is Geralt to deny his enchanted friend? But Geralt eventually has to leave for a hunt, and Lovepotioned up Jaskier would be in terrible danger if he came with, so Geralt commands he stay back at the inn. He comes back to an absolutely inconsolable bard who keeps asking Geralt what he did wrong, and how he can better for Geralt to love him again. Geralt awkwardly tries to talk his friend through it, before giving up on talking and just giving Jaskier a quick chaste kiss. Jaskier stops blubbering and immediately is overjoyed, enjoying Geralt snuggles the rest of the night. Jaskier sleeps in a bit the next morning, but Geralt wakes him up with a kiss to his forehead and a tender hug. For the rest of the day, Jaskier looks more surprised with every touch or sentence Geralt gives him, which is a tad odd, as the first day of the potion, Jaskier seemed only happy and relieved when Geralt gave him love. Now, Jaskier seems shocked by Geralt's audacity, though still very happy about it. Geralt finally reaches Yennefer, who Jaskier did not know they were on their way to visit. Geralt asks for Yennefer to lift the love potion's curse from Jaskier, only for her to explain it's not there. It was clearly one that wore off in a day. That mean this entire day Jaskier wasn't enchanted but he and Geralt kept acting like it. Jaskier profusely apologizes, already in tears, and confesses he just liked Geralt giving him affection, touch, and praise. Geralt pays Yennefer for her time wasted and scoops up his bard to head back to an inn so they can calm down. Geralt is embarrassed, but not angry, per se. He tells Jaskier this, and gives him a kiss on the forehead. "All you had to do was ask, Bard." "I promise it was real at first!" "I know, Jask." "But you kissed me and held me and-" "I know, Jask." "I'm sorry." "It's forgiven, bard. We don't have to stop." That night, both bard and witcher fell asleep, wrapped around each other, both's lips bruised from kissing.

when they bring tommy back for eventual bucktommy endgame, i would love to see them be friends for a while first.

it's been a year or so and they cross paths on a call or something. buck has dated a few people, maybe someone semi-serious, none of them stuck. or maybe he's currently dating someone. but so is tommy. buck voices how much he misses just spending time with him and floats the idea of them being friends. tommy is hesitant but ultimately that's what happens: tentative at first, but they become friends.

and in being friends, they get to know each other better than if they were dating. even though tommy knew buck pretty well already, with friendship he lets himself be known better, not so afraid of being imperfect or less than or broken or not enough; he's still self conscious about it, doesn't want to be a burden, but there's no fear of getting his heart broken by evan leaving him, and no guilt of breaking evan's heart, so it's mostly just him wanting to be a good friend so he tries to hide his shit for a bit and not hang out for a week when he's having a rough time.

except: buck notices he's having a rough time and isn't interested in only spending time with tommy when he's happy - he wants to be there for his friend! he wants to help and comfort like he does with all his friends. buck discovers that either tommy pushed his boyfriend away (for now), maybe lied to him so the guy is clueless about how tommy is really doing, or he simply broke things off because tommy is 'too much'. in any case, buck would be livid because 1) this guy doesn't deserve tommy and 2) tommy is hiding himself away during a bad time and that's not okay, buck can't let him isolate himself and think that if he's not perfect he's not wanted therefore no one wants to deal with him.

buck shows up at his house, or maybe finds tommy at a campsite or something. tommy looks rough - it's been an emotionally trying time with family issues or ptsd or a rough work call. in any case: buck gets it, and he's not going to let tommy go through this alone. friends don't abandon each other in their time of need, and no matter how tommy tries to push him away, buck is staying.

buck says all this, earnest and caring and desperate to help, and eventually tommy cracks. he gives in to the need for connection, lets evan in, lets him stay, lets himself be comforted through hugs and letting evan see him breakdown and cry.

and it's not the end of the world. it's actually the start of a new chapter: it marks a turning point in their friendship where tommy is more open about things (with evan, and maybe howie) and buck gets to know him better.

there might be another partner or two for each of them going forward, but their friendship strengthens and inevitably leads them back to love, eventually getting back together and knowing they're both seen and loved in all their dark and ugly beauty.

spoilers for chapter 429

idk if you guys remember but ochako does have parallels with All Might, specifically as the side who saves. It’s not that he feels the same for them both or something like that, they serve to represent the type of heroism he naturally goes to; his friend is not his love interest, from his perspective she’s out there having a crisis over not being able to save her, and Izuku reminds her that she is a hero bc she is his hero -she saved him multiple times, and she should be able to feel like a proper hero.

This conversation is not about the nature of their relationship, is about heroism; Izuku relates to a conflict between being a hero who saves and failing to save someone, and doesn’t want to see Ochako ending spiraling because she couldn’t also fulfill that role as expected. She’s his hero not because he loves her romantically -he’s a nerd I’m sure he would be way more nervous and blushing if he was confessing anything he thought was romantic- but because she’s able to go and do what All Might does to Izuku, save him physically and emotionally.

He knows she hides her feelings in order to not be a burden, yet he doesn’t talk about his own feelings outside of his guilt in heroics -what does he feel about losing OFA? About his own failures? About the people he personally lost? He can’t talk for others and claim Ochako is everyone’s hero, but he can speak for himself, and that’s his personal perspective -she is a hero to him, she’s his hero. And then the class appears to make sure she’s able to get support and understand she’s not alone, and she’s important to them too.

but Izuku doesn’t get support. Izuku cries a little and talks a little about himself, but he doesn’t get supported. If this was meant to be romantic, I don’t understand why he would hold back what’s inside of him.

the end of the chapter reveals that boy is going to be helped by that woman who regretfully ignored Tenko, and they both witness it and are happy about it while hearing izuku inspired that change, and iida wonders what’s up with them -this is the conclusion to their relationship. In their hearts these two are saviors who struggle to be heroes who save others, and they are happy there are appearing more people who want to be heroes like them. Heroes who save. Save like All Might.

That grandma for example, interpreting the narrative as what I think is intended, would be that boy’s All Might; she’s his hero.

Izuku and Ochako are heroes who save, and Deku is here to remind her at least she did save him many times, that she is still a hero because she is his hero. I don’t believe is meant to be interpreted as romantic, not that Izuku sees that phrase as it neither -after all, he said he does want to be like All Might and feels good to imitate him, but he doesn’t love him.

Ochako’s All Might hair moment, the parallels with Toshinori telling him he can be a hero, the trying to save from black suffocating quirks, the we can do it and do your best…

this has been said countless times already i know. but it still absolutely astounds me just how powerful, how phenomenal, how profoundly, breathtakingly, earth-shatteringly monumental the story of Dean and Castiel is. and a decent portion of it somehow wasn't even intentionally written as a romance. there are people out there to this day who still deny that it was a love story in the end.

i mean, look at it objectively. it's about a literal Angel of the Lord rescuing a human from the depths of Hell, accidentally developing emotions because of him, sacrificing everything he ever knew for him, willingly dying over and over and over again for him, and being fundamentally changed and ultimately saved in return by his own burning passion and unwavering devotion for that one human. Castiel fell for Dean in every sense of the word. what could be more tragically, heartbreakingly romantic than that?

Honestly, one thing I love about Alucard throughout the Castlevania series is that Alucard gets to play Gregor Mendel and selectively breed the Belmonts like pea plants.

Think about it: it was him who got Sypha and Trevor together, and now their descendants have cool elemental powers. Once again, he and Juste played matchmaker with Richter and Annette, so now I bet their future children and the Belmonts will have cool metal powers and/or the ability to communicate with the spirit realm.

It also makes sense why Alucard would want to do this — to have a couple of humans who are capable of helping to defend against monsters when the time comes.

idek how to word it but I’ve always seen it as that Crowfeathers love interests, rather than actually liking him like they think they, they are just attached to what they think they can get from him.

I refuse to believe that Feathertail had any romantic interest in Crowfeather. I am NOT talking about her.

Leafpool was starting to feel lonely and unneeded in ThunderClan, and then boom, Crowfeather came along.

Nightcloud wanted a husband and children and she just latched onto the worst possible guy for that.

Even Tawnypelt, who feels disrespected by her entire clan and doesn’t feel attached to it anymore, didn’t start thinking about him like that at all, until he made it obvious that he respected her.

i’ve tried to be sane looking at this ask but the same three scenarios keep rotating in my head so allow me to explain them all but you’re so right on the childhood friends pipeline. it truly is the strongest trope of them all <3

version one: those idiots get together first and they’re kind of mad that you’re so happy for and supportive of them. shouldn’t you feel some kind of resentment that they left you out? shouldn’t you be pinching izuku’s cheek and punching katsuki’s arm for them getting together without you? you’ve beat them up for much less so why are you so complacent about this? it makes them angry, it makes them confused; they didn’t start seeing each other just to spite you but they expected something stronger than this. you’re supposed to want them as much as they want each other, it’s supposed to be the three of you. what’s it going to take for you to grab them and demand that they carve out space for you too, when are you going to make them yours again

alternatively: the two of them being your guard dogs in a sense. they fight amongst themselves just as much as they’re willing to fight off others for your attention. contrary to popular belief, izuku is worse than katsuki. he’s the one that leaves dead rodents in the lockers of boys who send you valentines, leaves cryptic anonymous messages in their game chats and inboxes of coworkers who stare at you a little too long, sends bouquets of knives with just the right smear of blood to the bartender who can’t seem to get a hint. katsuki is much more in the shadows, an intimidating presence that fends off hopeful suitors—but really he’s more concerned with keeping you in, than keeping others out. katsuki’s role is to remind you how good you have it with him and izuku, to show you how nice it is to have two people who care about you this much, to get you to see that they’ve already ruined you for anybody else bc he can guarantee not a single other person could do for you what they’re willing to. or whatever 😚

more alternatives: it takes you going abroad for both katsuki and izuku to realize that the reason their last three dates have been awkward is because they’re missing you. that the reason kissing and confessing felt wrong despite having such strong feelings is because you’re not there and falling into each other is great but they wish they could catch you too. knowing those idiots they’d show up to wherever it is you are, izuku huffing and knocking on your door incessantly and when you ask him what the fuck he’s doing there his breaths are still labored when he smiles and says, “i raced kacchan here… told him i would win… ha—we, we have something to tell you—” and then loud, angry footsteps can be heard from the stairway and a very red in the face katsuki emerging to say that izuku better not be confessing without him. and the whole time you’re just blinking and figure you guys should probably not do this in the hallway
