no because the way he’s holding her so gently like he’s worried he might hurt her (because he saw what her body went through when sekhmet was in control) (possibly even afraid to let himself be selfish?) compared to the way Annette pulls him in so tight like she doesn’t want to ever let him go, possibly because she’s sick of losing the people she loves and the trip to the spirit world made her remember just how precious life is for them. Their stories are paralleled in the way they hold each other.. I hate this show.

I have a couple of Richette headcanons:

They flirt a lot during battle; to the point the vampires feel like they're third wheeling.

Lots of handholding and cuddling. Annette finds comfort in Richter's touch/voice and Richter literally got second degree burns from holding onto Annette when Sekhmet possessed her, so you know he's not letting go anytime soon.

Annette's community and comrades were wary of Richter when they returned to Hati since Richter was a white European. But by the time they liberated Hati, he's welcomed as a fellow brother in arms. Annette couldn't be prouder.

They share their first dance during the Haitian liberation celebration.

Richter has literally no spice tolerance. Someone help this boy. Annette teases him about it all the time. He can wield and withstand literal fire but tears up at the mere scent of chili pepper. (Richter still eats whatever Annette makes for him. Spice and all.)

Richter makes Annette laugh all the time, even when he wasn't trying to. She had not been this happy since before her mother died. Richter also loves the sound of her laughter.

They both have insomnia from all the trauma throughout the years can only get a good night's sleep when together.

They have a daughter together. She inherited the Belmont powers from Richter and can communicate with her African ancestors thanks to Annette's training.

So don't quote me on this, but I heard in the next game after Nocturne, Dracula was brought back to life and kidnapped Annette to lure Richter into a trap. If this happened in the next season, best believe Richter would stop at nothing to save Annette. Also, Annette wouldn't go down without a fight and she would take down several enemies as well to get back to Richter.

I don't ship Alucard with anyone. I've only seen Nocturne so he's the grumpy grandfather/chaperone figure to the other characters. He was so done throughout the series which was an absolute mood 😂

Castlevania: Nocturne S2 Richter & Annette Part II

I haven't seen people talk about this, and I don't blame them, because there was SO MUCH Richette in season 2, but my absolute favorite part of them was (spoilers past this point) when Sekhmet was reunited in Annette's body. Richter literally tried to pull Annette away and asked Sekhmet to leave her, even if it meant keeping the world in darkness. The fact that Alucard had to be the one to talk him down was a cherry on top, especially since he was the one kinda pushing them along all season. It really reiterated how down bad Richter was for his witch revolutionary. They had been fighting for a way to stop the darkness the whole time, but for just one moment, he didn't even care whether it ended or not because he just wanted to protect Annette. I was seriously tearing up at that part.
