Seeing Alucard actually pressed for once did something to me. Obviously I like his aristocratic swagger that oscillates between affectionate and condescending. Seeing him curbstomp vampires is its own reward. But he trivializes conflicts so often it's difficult to understand the scale of a threat while he's around. Watching him try, really push himself, rapidly builds tension and cashes in on his casual competence in a way that Shonen Protagonist Richter Belmont could never.

Richter goes from rolling in the dirt with a night creature (and losing) to dropkicking a god in a week. Seeing him get serious is exciting because I have absolutely no idea what the fuck I'm about to see. He doesn't either! This is his first time doing the next thing that happens. If Alucard going red-eyed and Dracularian after getting his ass handed to him is like watching a sports car finally kick into high gear, Richter's eyes shining blue with Determination is like playing Russian Roulette with a railgun.

I haven't watched Nocturne. I'm honestly not interested in it. What hooked me in the original series was the dynamics between Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard. Without two of the three there, the appeal is lost.

Also why'd they take Alucard off of testosterone in Nocturne smh my head they made him detransition 😔

I relate so hard to Amy. Awkward, anxious, and wants things to be a certain way and gets nervous when they're not? Me.

"Done dirty by fans" and "everyone but me is wrong about them" is due to people not caring about her as much as they do about Jake. I am STILL so peeved about how often I try to find fics about Amy getting hurt/comforted but Jake is taking up the whole tag. Like. Searching for fics where Amy has an allergic reaction to dogs and only finding fics about Jake having allergic reactions to bees. And we found out in canon it's not even that serious! When Amy canonically is deathly allergic! Ugh. Anyway.

Marcus!

"Wasted potential" and "why do they look like that" apply to the book only. Every time I remember Marcus is supposed to be blond and look like a surfer boy in the books I'm like No he doesn't! Because he doesn't, not to me. Wasted potential in terms of... idk we just don't see as much of him in the books vs the show and it saddens me. He doesn't get nearly enough character in the books. (I know Time's Convert is about him and Phoebe but. A little too late.) (I also didn't finish it, I got bored. I'm sorry Marcus and Phoebe I love you.)

Done dirty by fans in the sense that. I care about him and Phoebe but not enough people do. Also why are there not more fics about him and Matthew??? Fr???

Marcus has more depth than ppl think. Will die on this hill. Also he should have gone apeshit on Matthew at one point.

I have an idea of a request involving the Castlevania Trio + Greta, but I was wondering if you’ve seen *Castlevania: Noctune*? It doesn’t involve the characters of that series, but the context of the request does have spoilers and I didn’t want to accidentally spoil the series for you if you plans to watch it.

I HAVE seen Nocturne, so feel free to submit the ask. I'm not open to nocturne requests just yet because I don't feel I know the characters well enough. Maybe after S2.

WIP Ask game: Sonata of Dawn sounds beautiful!

Sonata of the Dawn is basically the last longfic of mine focussing on the Trevor, Sypha, Alucard trio (though Greta plays a big role in this one, too). It is gonna be vaguely inspired by the Castlevania Audio Drama Noctune of Recollection. It is gonna be set 8 years post canon. Some weird guy named Magnus appears at the castle, saying he could fix it - the castle that is. But... Magnus has other motives to be there and is going to try and force the trio apart.

It is going to have some action scenes, but Magnus is more of a mindgame adversary. And it is gonna get dark.

This is by the way Magnus - though I gotta pay someone to redesign the guy, because... well... Uhm. This Design is not really fitting with series Castlevania, is it now?
